I bought the $200 tree from King of Christmas, and it's phenomenal -- unlit, because I think it makes no sense to buy pre-lit. When a string burns out, what are you going to do, throw out the tree? You also can't change your mind and try different lights.
I just put up my King of Christmas Tree and I LOVE it! Worth every single penny! I agree with all of the details she shared!!! It does require a lot of fluffing. But if you put in the time at the beginning, you’ll end up with a beautiful tree! I do wish there was a simple twinkling option for the lights. I hate that it speeds up and slows down. It ruins that option for me.

I wouldn't say it came out perfect, it wasn't bad, when you looked at it, it needed to be fluffed once put together for sure, although it didn't take long or a lot of effort. I was very pleased!

We just purchased your Home Depot flocked tree from last year. $299 (less with hubby’s military discount). We love it! Granted, it’s not as full as this KOC tree but it’s not skimpy. It’s gorgeous and I don’t even have it decorated. Heavy flocking, quick connect, sturdy stand, foot pedal, remote control and more led lighting options including multi lights. I could almost buy 2 HD trees for the price of this one.
Jill Wood I’m so glad you love it!! This one does has more tips, but the HD still has more than average and is still very full, I love both of these trees! We are putting up the HD tree in our master this year, and then we will put it in the babies room next year because of the multi lights!

There are excellent flocking products one can order online. They are easy to use and fun to apply. You can control the amount of "snow" you prefer, anything from light dusting to full blown blizzard. Spend on the brand name products rather than using paint, wall texture sprays, etc. which end up costing more with inferior results.
Now, can you provide a review of how you put it in the small bag? :) We have the 9' version and unless we vacuum pack the tree, I just don't see how it will fit inside the bag.

I have been researching a new tree considering tip count and lights, etc. I was actually watching your first video when my husband texted me a pic of the Wal-Mart tree. Such a weird coincidence! I thought it was really pretty and was rather surprised since it was at Wal-Mart. In your videos, you fail to mention the PVC vs. PE tip material. Since PE is more realistic, maybe you should add this info to your research. I have found your research to validate and add to mine thereby helping me feel less confused. Thank you again! I never knew that the number of tips was a thing in tree descriptions! I’ve never heard anyone mention it before. I have just checked a UK website, in case it was an American thing, and yes it does mention the number of tips! Thanks for the tip 😅 I think the tree looks much better in your home than the website picture. One could get away with not even putting ornaments on it. I purchased the 8ft flocked prince pre-lit tree and I have to say I am a bit disappointed....there are so many areas where you can see the middle pole. In some areas gaps are so large that I can see all the way to the back side of the wall. I've worked to fluff the tree a lot and it helped but not where the gaps are just too big that the branches around don't cover it - there are several areas like this on this tree. I was so excited to get it and for a single mom/parent I thought I would splurge to buy a tree that we would keep for years, but I now know that I will need to add A LOT of ribbon and picks to fill it out. I also wished it had twinkle lights...the tree does have different light options but instead of twinkling there is a setting that the lights all just flash on and off - fast and in slow mode...very strange for me, so we ended up adding warm white twinkle lights in the center area of the tree. Also, after watching your video and looking online for the product details for my tree...I realized that my tree was supposed to also come with a storage bag - which I did not get so will be calling them today. Overall the tree is pretty but not at all as full as I would've thought for the $ spent on it - for reference my sister got a similar sized pre-lit flocked tree from Walmart last year after the Holiday's for less than $100 and it is fuller than mine. You cant see the pole on hers with minimal fluffing while mine the pole is very evident even with tremendous fluffing. Disappointing for me personally. I am hoping that with all the ribbon, picks and ornaments the tree will look full and beautiful like I've seen in pictures. Your video on items to look for though was very helpful...will use the info to select another tree in the future.
Oh man just catching up with the comments, but I don't recommend the prince tree from King of Christmas. I recommend the King like I have or the Queen. Based on the specs I don't think the prince is a good tree so I'm not surprised by your disappointment. I did mention that in this video, but I have done so many Christmas videos maybe it's in another one. If you want a good cheap flocked tree I recommend the Walmart one thats $169! I try to update my links every year. Otherwise, I think you would be very very happy with the KOC King or Queen! I promise those are both really great trees, and way better quality than the walmart tree. I also know that KOC doesn't have the best warranty (Like all the brands) but that have amazing Customer service, I wonder if they would let you exchange? Or maybe you could sell? Either way, I really hope you end up with a tree you absolutely love! Oh, there is also a home deopt tree thats' really great too! I'm so sorry this reply is late!!! What kind of tree are you looking for? A green tree go with balsam Hill, a flocked tree go with KOC. Unless you want to have both clear and multi lights on it, then you would go with Balsam Hill.

Oh my goodness, that one is hard... I have never had a BH frosted Fraser fir tree, but I did get their garland. Both tree companies are high quality and I recommend both brands. BH is more realistic looking. But the King of Christmas is very full, lush and I love the quality of the flocking. The flocking on the BH according to the garland is very messy. It really comes down to the look you are going for and the features that is the most important to you!

I think I am going to take advantage of the 10% off and buy this King Christmas Flocked tree. My only question is I was reading that they ask you to store in a cool area. I live in Florida and I store my christmas decorations in the garage. So, now I am wondering if I will have an issue. I currently have a flocked tree, and have had no issues. Any suggestions?
I live in Florida too! I'm in Palm Beach county, and I store mine in the garage as well, I have only had my artificial trees for 2 years now but so far so good. I put them in a storage bag and they are in a place that is dry and doesn't see the sun so that helps too!
That's tough, if the lights are the most important thing, go with the Home Depot one, But the flocking is better on the KOC one. So it depends on what is more important to you. I hope that helps!
That is SO HARD! I like the lights better on the Home Depot Tree, but I like the overall look of the tree from King of Christmas a little better. However I will still use both trees in my home in the future.
Yes! fluff one section at a time before you put the next section on. When you fluff take each branch tip and pull it out, up or down. That is why it's so time consuming, you physically have to fluff every single individual branch tip, but it makes a big difference. Another tip is to look at the picture of the tree you bought and make sure you fluff it in the way that matches the picture. So for this tree the ends flare out, so that is the best way to fluff it. I hope that helps! Please let me know if you have any more questions!
@@josealvarez2275 Hmmm, That might be a little sparse... If you want a very full tree I would get something with around 2000 tips. If you want a tree that has more room than that would be good!
That's a good question! There are a few reasons... One is that last year Balsam Hill although absolutely beautiful, didn't have a tree with the flocked look I was going for. Their tree looked more frosted than flocked to me. Another reason is that I like to review different Christmas trees to help people find the perfect tree for them and that comes at a variety of price points. In the future I hope to get and review both Walmart trees and Balsam Hill trees! But I will only pick a tree to review that I want in my house. If I'm not willing to use it as my own Christmas tree I don't want to review it. I hope that helps! Balsam Hill has the best specs I have ever seen when it comes to Christmas trees.
Basilchic, im looking to buy a king of Christmas tree my ceilings are 7.5' tall, I'm trying to decide if I should buy a 7.5' tall tree as my star clips onto the base of the branch tip, instead of on top. or should I stick to the 6.5'
If you clip your star into the tree like you're saying, then go for it. But it all depends on how much "space" you want around your tree. the 7.5ft might look a little squished, but there would be plenty of space around your 6.5ft. I think the 7.5ft would fit, but it all depends on what your vision is!
I got the Prince flocked pre-lit wreath. It's full and great quality, I love it!! My only complaint is that there is a square wire metal shape that sticks out in the center of the wreath. I cover it with a bow or ribbon. Some people cut it off or use it to hang it up with. If you send me a DM on Instagram @basilchic I will send you a picture of mine so you can see it for yourself.
Hey! I would get the 7.5 ft, because you will have more options to choose from, and I think having a little breathing room would look good, especially with the topper. However, an 8 foot would still look good, you may want the biggest tree possibly, and if that’s more important to you then go for it!
They are holding up beautifully! Both the home depot and the KOC! The Home Depot tree did smell, but the KOC didn't smell, so I don't think they all smell. But the smell did dissipate over time.
I love your tree. I want one but have no idea what size to buy. I have 8’ ceiling. I am between king 7’ 1/2” or queen 6’ 1/2”. I am worry that 7,5” is too tall and 6,5” too short. What do you think?
Ugh, I wish I wasn't replying so late! I'm so sorry, a 7.5 would be a large tree for the area, but it would fit. The 6.5 is more subtle but would still look nice, it all depends on the impact you want and the storage you have!
Yes, it is sturdy enough to hold a star on top! The tips are flexible, but I think whether they are hard or soft could be relative so I don't know how to answer that for you.
Hi! I want to get one but couldn't take the splurge to spend $400+ on a xmas tree. I am considering to get the unlit and use my old christmas light to save a $$$. Do you think the blinking warm xmas light with green wire will work on this tree?
I think that would be a hard match to be honest... You could try it, but you would waste money on shipping sending back the tree if it didn't work... I did another video last year I linked in this video on more affordable trees, one being $169 from Walmart, the other being From Home Depot. Before you decide check out that video, it may help.

I'm so sorry this reply is late!!! What kind of tree are you looking for? A green tree go with balsam Hill, a flocked tree go with KOC. Unless you want to have both clear and multi lights on it, then you would go with Balsam Hill.

Hi there! I enjoy your reviews. I would like to know what is your preference between the King of Christmas flocked tree and the BH frosted Fraser fir trees?
Oh my goodness, that one is hard... I have never had a BH frosted Fraser fir tree, but I did get their garland. Both tree companies are high quality and I recommend both brands. BH is more realistic looking. But the King of Christmas is very full, lush and I love the quality of the flocking. The flocking on the BH according to the garland is very messy. It really comes down to the look you are going for and the features that is the most important to you!

I think I am going to take advantage of the 10% off and buy this King Christmas Flocked tree. My only question is I was reading that they ask you to store in a cool area. I live in Florida and I store my christmas decorations in the garage. So, now I am wondering if I will have an issue. I currently have a flocked tree, and have had no issues. Any suggestions?
I live in Florida too! I'm in Palm Beach county, and I store mine in the garage as well, I have only had my artificial trees for 2 years now but so far so good. I put them in a storage bag and they are in a place that is dry and doesn't see the sun so that helps too!
Do you feel this tree is worth the extra cost over the Home Depot tree?
That's tough, if the lights are the most important thing, go with the Home Depot one, But the flocking is better on the KOC one. So it depends on what is more important to you. I hope that helps!
Which do you like better, the King of Christmas tree or the one you bought last year?
That is SO HARD! I like the lights better on the Home Depot Tree, but I like the overall look of the tree from King of Christmas a little better. However I will still use both trees in my home in the future.

Hi, my dad just bought this tree for me and my brothers, and we are having trouble fluffing it. Do any tips or tricks to help us out?
Yes! fluff one section at a time before you put the next section on. When you fluff take each branch tip and pull it out, up or down. That is why it's so time consuming, you physically have to fluff every single individual branch tip, but it makes a big difference. Another tip is to look at the picture of the tree you bought and make sure you fluff it in the way that matches the picture. So for this tree the ends flare out, so that is the best way to fluff it. What would you think of a tree that is 70 pounds and 9 feet is that too heavy ?
I would say you got yourself a very nice tree! But it all comes down to the amount of branch tips! So I would check that count before buying.

What made you choose King Of Christmas over Balsam Hill?
That's a good question! There are a few reasons... One is that last year Balsam Hill although absolutely beautiful, didn't have a tree with the flocked look I was going for. Their tree looked more frosted than flocked to me. Another reason is that I like to review different Christmas trees to help people find the perfect tree for them and that comes at a variety of price points. In the future I hope to get and review both Walmart trees and Balsam Hill trees! But I will only pick a tree to review that I want in my house. If I'm not willing to use it as my own Christmas tree I don't want to review it. I hope that helps! Balsam Hill has the best specs I have ever seen when it comes to Christmas trees.
Basilchic, im looking to buy a king of Christmas tree my ceilings are 7.5' tall, I'm trying to decide if I should buy a 7.5' tall tree as my star clips onto the base of the branch tip, instead of on top. or should I stick to the 6.5'
If you clip your star into the tree like you're saying, then go for it. But it all depends on how much "space" you want around your tree. the 7.5ft might look a little squished, but there would be plenty of space around your 6.5ft. I think the 7.5ft would fit, but it all depends on what your vision is!
I would appreciate some feedback on what wreath to purchase. I want flocked (of course) but not sure if I should get king or prince?
I got the Prince flocked pre-lit wreath. It's full and great quality, I love it!! My only complaint is that there is a square wire metal shape that sticks out in the center of the wreath. Hey! I would get the 7.5 ft, because you will have more options to choose from, and I think having a little breathing room would look good, especially with the topper. However, an 8 foot would still look good, you may want the biggest tree possibly, and if that’s more important to you then go for it!
I really wanted to get this tree until you said it had no twinkle setting...i guess ill have to keep looking for that perfect tree.

U made this video in 2019 how is it holding up.? Do all Flock tree tell U about the smell.
They are holding up beautifully! Both the home depot and the KOC! The Home Depot tree did smell, but the KOC didn't smell, so I don't think they all smell. But the smell did dissipate over time.
I love your tree. I want one but have no idea what size to buy. I have 8’ ceiling. I am between king 7’ 1/2” or queen 6’ 1/2”. I am worry that 7,5” is too tall and 6,5” too short. What do you think?
Ugh, I wish I wasn't replying so late! I'm so sorry, a 7.5 would be a large tree for the area, but it would fit. The 6.5 is more subtle but would still look nice, it all depends on the impact you want and the storage you have!

Yes, it is sturdy enough to hold a star on top! The tips are flexible, but I think whether they are hard or soft could be relative so I don't know how to answer that for you.

I don't think you can really go wrong, but I think the white wire would blend in a bit better. :)
Hi! I want to get one but couldn't take the splurge to spend $400+ on a xmas tree. I am considering to get the unlit and use my old christmas light to save a $$$. Do you think the blinking warm xmas light with green wire will work on this tree?
I think that would be a hard match to be honest... You could try it, but you would waste money on shipping sending back the tree if it didn't work... I did another video last year I linked in this video on more affordable trees, one being $169 from Walmart, the other being From Home Depot. Before you decide check out that video, it may help.
