The fly is usually a piece of plastic tube from a cotton swab. I dress it with bucktail. The tippet goes through a bead (if I want any weight) then through the tube, and then ties onto a size 10 treble hook, usually with the barbs crushed down and also dressed with a pinch of bucktail.

When I’m out I stop at least in one spot loaded with gar. Looks fun so might give it a whirl
