Nate you're a very awesome guy. Meeting fans on a fishing trip and hanging out with them and giving them 2 awesome official baits made by a celebrity like yourself. It just goes to show that you are like one of the real people not just a celebrity UA-camr. That's why you have so many followers.
That's a paint scheme to be proud of no doubt...💪 I just know those folks were ready to jump out of their skin with excitement, yet they kept their composure...very nice interaction
In college we used to gather all kinds of natives for cool aquarium setups. Northern hog suckers were one of my favorites. Very active with lots of personality.
I’ve watched you make a ridiculous amount of lures, and I gotta say this is lure is perfect. You’ve mastered the carving, shaping, weighting, and aquadynamics(?). But after this there’s no doubt you have mastered the entire craft. Hope you like the ol’ Hawg sucker.
Just found your channel like two weeks ago and love your work man really nice stuff!! Inspired me to start making lures lol so far I’ve only attached treble hooks on a dollar tree spider and grasshopper toy! They’re top water and actually had a follow from a nice three pound largie so I stared at him swim away and yelled out “ONE DAAY”
Beautiful bait and a wholesome video. Love it when youre prepared to fish alone all day and you end up meeting a stranger a fishing with them. Warms my heart!
Your channel is not even by comparison my favourite thing on UA-cam to watch right now. I am watching your videos pretty much every second of my downtime; It's just too relaxing and interesting. Something about it, keep it up :)
I was born in Iowa and raised in Texas my entire life. I want to go down there and visit sometime and of course do some fishing! Been watching you for many years and hopefully for many more years to come!
Awesome meeting fans like that and giving them baits is even more amazing! Definitely looks like the same fish to me based on the red spot on the adipose fin and the red spot on the base of the caudal fin. Amazing either way!
Superb design and lure structure! Amazingly well done! Love how you helped that couple! That was such a super nice gesture from your part! Major kudos for doing that! ❤️
Fun fact... I've found that crushed snails work very well for those suckers up here in Southern Ontario. Simply find some snails (aquatic/terrestrial), crush them with your foot, and use them shell and all. This bait looks so good, your craft is top notch!
I remember discovering this channel when I was like 11 or 12 and falling in love. Still enjoy the videos now that im in my late teens and I dont even fish much. Keep up the great work!
Hey @marlingbaits I just caught my first ever pike on my first ever hand carved lure. As a 25yo I've never been good at anything artsy. Thanks for inspiring me to give it a try. Don't have Instagram so I couldn't send you the pic, but wanted to say thanks for the content.
The interaction with the guy was really nice of you! Hope you're kindness comes back at you, and hope your business takes off. I have few ideas I don't know if they will help or not. 1- what about collaborating with a manufacturer and design lures that you can sell at large quantities? You could try and run a limited number of lures and check how things goes and if there is a market for them. And you could make an interactive questionnaire where the viewers pick which fish to base the lure on or which ( lure you've already made before) to pick and base the mass produced lures on. 2- Another idea would be to collab with other creators like Bobby Duke Arts, I think both of you could do something cool like an underwater environment sculpture thing. I know these ideas could very well crossed your mind many times, but I though to share my mind as I would love to buy lures designed by you.
I'm a long time watcher of your videos. I 'like' all of them but this thing is next level. This is peak flow art. That lure is beautiful. There is no situation in which I could ever fish the thing. But. That does not matter. The mix of technical ability and artistic creativity is awesome. Well done buddy.
Northern Hogsucker are very doable on hook and line, I've caught plenty. Small hook (16 or smaller) and a worm will do the trick. If you can find one actively feeding on the bottom, you can get them to eat a worm if you position it just right in their feeding lane. Love your videos by the way!
Was definitely my most memorable day of fishing! Made the whole trip, thanks for fishing with us and thanks for the lures!
What a cool day, Im jealous.
So cool! You got real lucky meeting him. Please cherish those baits!
aka don't fish them and lose to a snag :D
Grateful to have bumped into you guys! Until next time! 😁
Really cool Nate seems like a good dude in person.
I'm literally a minute into the video. Thank you for returning to the old style with fun facts and that video style. My favorite by far.
Fun facts and his delivery of them, are my favorite parts of the older videos!
Fun fact it’s every one’s favorite part also OOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEE DDDDAAAAYYY
Very cool of you to fish with some fans and giving them some baits. Another awesome video.
To meet Nate, and then catch a huge brown trout must be such an amazing feeling.

Beautiful paint job and perhaps your best looking scales ever!

your painting skills are unmatched!

To have Nate not only give you baits but also to net you your amazing fish. Guys! JUST THE COOLEST UA-camR EVER!!!!
I have to go down there and fish by that boat dock. Those trout are awesome.
Possibly the most realistic looking lure you've ever made. If it wasn't for the separate sections one could mistake it for the real fish.
Man at 16 I started making baits 2 years ago and I can only hope to reach your skill level in my lifetime!
Such a good dood you are Mr Nate.
Gooood afternoon from central Florida! Hope everyone has a great afternoon!
In college we used to gather all kinds of natives for cool aquarium setups. Northern hog suckers were one of my favorites. Very active with lots of personality.
You should make a small scale replica sailing ship and see if fish will hit it
That would be cool
Thats a good one!
Now there’s an idea!
And a submarine would be cool :)
Submarine glidebait? @@FpsRix
I could sit for hours, watching your videos! What you do , for your favorite pass time and as a hobbyist, is sooo amazing!
You’re right that guy did make your video. I like you even more to see that you’re helping out just some random guy. That’s awesome of you!
That’s beautiful I’m glad you didn’t lose it!
A wonderful work of art. It should be in a museum or catching really big fish in the great lakes!
Super Official…great video all around. Thank you for hanging that piece of art. I couldn’t bear to see that lost.
Amazing lure! This is one of the finest lures I've seen handmade yet hands down!
Just looking at the thumbnail this looks like a nice bait
I don't know what I enjoyed more. Watching you create the lure or meeting some fans. Good stuff.
Excellent project, your interaction with the two fellow anglers (fans) made this video extra special to watch, thank you.
Non seulement ces leurres attrappent du poisson mais, en plus, ce sont de veritables oeuvres d'art ! J'en suis toujours etonné ! Bravo.
