Very nice, I've seen their ads on insta, looks great and glad to hear it's decent quality.
Yea well worth the money.
Very nice. It's been awhile since I have heard some Benny Hill. 😎👍
Haha thanks!!
Hi,
how do shade sails hold up in rain and wind? Do you take them off during big storms?
I am considering this, but how do I slope mono-pitched clear polycarbonate corrugated roof panels on top of this, given that this is more like a flat roof design ?
I wonder if you could add some small hanging potted plants to the underside of it? Good vid 👍🏻
Oh for sure! They even make shelves and stuff that attach to them haha.
Just saved me thousands
Love your video!
Thank you!
Nice! Is there a slope to prevent the top from holding rain?
No they are mesh.
After watching this video I went and bought the Toja Grid Pergola kit, although I was satisfied with the black and wood look, it was not as easy as you made it seem. The brackets were so tight fitting I had to use a sledge hammer to force in all the 4x4 wood. Doing this alone took longer than if I would've just built the whole frame out of wood.
Wow. I wonder why. Was the wood you used not dimentional? These are designed for construction style 4x4's which are actually 3.5 x 3.5" If you watch my video I did have to hammer a couple in. However that made for a nice fit that has less racking.
Great project great job
Thank you!
Like it! Rapid Set self leveling concrete from Home Depot would freshen up that patch of floor you got there. Love the Catio too!
Great idea! I've been thinking there must be something to help it out but I don't know much about concrete haha.

Nice video!!! Looks great
Thank you!
Ha ha! Thank you UA-cam algorithms! I was mostly sold at “yes that’s a cattery in the background” but was tipped over into fully sold at “That’s not going anywhere (said pretty much every man ever)” 😂 Funny and great advice. Thanks!
Haha glad you liked it!!
Where can I purchase the tent stakes? They fit perfectly through the holes.
I think I got them at harbor freight.
@@WalkersWoodworks I was looking at Harbor Freight and was wondering if they’re the same thing, thank you!
It will be nice to have some shade...now you need to build a table and some chairs. Did you consider replacing that old dilapidated concrete?
I've thought about it but it's low on my priority list haha. Currently trying to get the new shop up and running.
Any suggestions on how to install this on top of a paver patio?
how it looks inside? as i understand, corner part have no wood inside. right? What is it use for stop wood in the end position?
The perfect solution for a nice patio to make it more usable in the hot times. The Benny Hill theme made me laugh
That's for sure. Haha I thought it was pretty funny.
Looks great, Brandon. I wish you many years of enjoyment with it. BTW - a little Yakety Sax always makes a project go quicker.
Bill
Haha right? Thought that was funny.
What if you spray paint the caps? Or buy black screws?
Good 😊
Is 4x4 enough or do you wish you would have did 6x6
4x4 is plenty. We have fairly strong winds too.
This was also my question. I’m trying to decide between 4 or 6, so this helps. Were your lumber lengths the same for all? 8’?
What wood did you use?
Douglas fir.
How high were they when they priced these things? Lawd. I've seen them before, and while it looks nice, come on... those prices are crazy.
Metal isn't cheap now days.
Still cheaper than buying a hard top gazebo.. would much rather get this and slap a couple of plastic sheets on it
How much did this size cost you
The be fully transparent they sent me all the components. I did buy the wood however I think it was about $300 in wood. It would have been around $1000 all together which sounds like a lot but if you go buy complete ones they are way more than that. There is a link to their site in the video description if you want to check them out. 👍
Can anyone get the 8x16 that you have?
Think u should have refreshed the cement
Very Nice. What was the total cost.
I think it really depends what kind of wood you use and the price at the time. They sent me the kit but I bought the wood. I think if you bought fir like I did total would be right about a grand for everything.
@@WalkersWoodworks thx for the information
How tall were your vertical post?
P
Save the money and learn to do the joinery...the grid systems cost more than 4 times the cost of the lumber!
That’s an option too.
What kind of wood did you use?
Just fir for this one.
@@WalkersWoodworks thank you! It’s beautifir :)
@@WalkersWoodworks what kind of paint did you use for the posts ?
