- Jabba brought us his stunning 37k Pheonix Yellow BMW E46 M3 for our famous Redish Motorsport Underside Restoration.
He saw surface corrosion underneath his BMW M3 on the chassis floors itself and the axle hardware like Subframe, Diff Carrier Brackets, Diff, Trailing Arms etc.
This is the story of how we went about tacking the surface corrosion and stopping it, along with making the underside of his E46 M3 one of the best in the world.

That's how BMW should have done it from the factory. You do excellent work.
MY OCD IS SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW
Yessssss
If my cars underside looked like that I'll drive it on its roof
The attention to detail is absolutely astonishing. This is the sort of thing I love, peace of mind that every bolt is perfect, the bottom side of the car is as beautiful as the top, and that everything is brand new. Superb
The car should have been this way from the factory as much as is charged for the cars. This is a great job that way done. Thanks for sharing this video with us.
Wow! I own an old BMW. I’m just an old Vet, can’t find work no matter how hard I try. Thank you for allowing me to day dream though. If I ever get enough money I want my car done by you guys.
THIS IS MY FETISH! U must feel so good looking at the finish work! 1000 quid worth of new BMW bits and screws : lifegoal.
As you can see the atention to detail reddish pay is unbelievable. Workmanship is like no other
Attention to detail, clip alignment etc is fantastic, if I had a hoist, or WHEN I get a hoist this is my goal. It's not about money, it's pride!!
Thats awesome!
World needs more guys like you to preserve these great cars!
Redish web page does you no justice the attention to detail is incredible !!
UNBELIEVABLE! That is a crazy good job guys. Awesome work!
Problem is if I had all that done and it looked that good, I would never drive it again.
Amen to that!!!!!
Smog fuck yeah little pansy
hell yeah, dont wanna ruin a £xxxxxxxxxx'ish job there.... the thing belongs in a museum now.
Cheers Smog
I would drive it...and fast!
The attention to detail is amazing. Well done!
Thing of Beauty, Amazing work and attention to detail.
Amazing work and attention to detail. Nice AP brakes. I just cleaned my front control arms with a toothbrush and now I feel totally inadequate. As a Phoenix Yellow owner too, I gotta scratch my head on the Kawasaki green though. Its certainly outside the box -- I gotta give the owner credit for that -- but just not sure it goes with PY. Color aside, well done. I appreciate the owner that loves his car so much they are not concerned whether they get all the money out of it they put into it. If it makes you happy, spend whatever on the car you like.
Sehr schön und super ordentlich restaurierter E46

Now THAT's how you restore a car!!! No compromises. Very BMW.
just awesome!
so satisfying
next video is 'john takes it to the Ring and crashes!'
Awesome! Would be great to buy this car in 20 years and to find it mint and cared for.
I did a similar but no so extensive clean/powdercoat on my e46 m3 a few years back and it was a big mistake due to tight tolerances and the added thicknes of the powdercoat I had issues with the rear subframe, diff and axels. The bushings were prone to failing and cracking so I had to remove the powder coat on quite a few areas and had no problems since.
I had the same thought when I saw how thick the powder coating layers were. I would have expected some tolerance issues.
Are you guys hiring ! oh man! such nice work!
That is amazing.
good vid, love the detail! just one thing, get a wind muffler for the mic outside **thumbsup**
This car just got another 20 years of life! love it! whats a ball park estimate of the coast?
gorgeous
Great video. Only wish you had shown the entire car afterwards.
WOW!!!!! that was amazing to see all of the new parts and repainted parts on the car. Very colorful I freaking love it. I'm curious to know what was the total cost? I got an old Benz that needs the entire treatment you got for your car. Did you have to do any engine work too?
Powder coating the exhaust was a nice touch, how did it hold up afterwards, especially the catalytic converters? Did it cook off?
Good question, I would love to see a followup video of this car.
It would be ceramic coated
Amazing Work.. Love It + Abo ;)
BEST JOB! THX!
The underside of this car is so awesome, yet pointless. I love it!
Wish you guys have a shop in Australia!!!
very good job.
I wish all those parts cud show up magically in my garage
The decontamination stage was incredible. Was acetone the spirit used?
E46 M3 Holy Grail, E30 M3 Holiest Grail
Do you have a parts list? I would love do to something like this to my M3. Amazing work!!
Fantastic work! How much is a full underside restoration?
Hi Folks, I am totally impressed by watching your videos and the great job you're doing! Your level of details is mind boggling! What I am wondering though is how much would a job as shown in that video cost? I mean just a rough estimation so that I can make up my mind? Is that appropriate to ask such a question here? Looking forward to hear back from you soon!
Nice video. I am wondering what product you use to remove the surface corrosion and prevent the rust
just wow
So many KW where added it is insane.
Damn! My hat goes off to you man. It is so clean and neat looking, its better than what it looks like normally from the factory. Where are you guys located? I gotta get your address written down for my future projects. Great Work Dude!!
impressive
Amazing work , could I ask approx what the cost of this would be for a e92 M3
very, very nice
Insane
Good job
Wow! wish you guys were in the states. Do you recommend anyone on the east coast that goes into this level of detail?
Nice 👌🏻👌🏻
Amazing work I need to do this to make Lancer evolution
how much dose this work usually cost?
Aside from replacement parts just floor work alone what was a rough cost to strip floor prep clean reinforce and por15 it? I have been thinking about wanting to do a similar job with my Audi S4 just was curious to its initial investment?
OMG .....i think i could die now ....wow . nice job ...
Good video and very professional work. How much all of it cost?
I'd say mid 20s to high 20k... That's a beautiful job. I have a hard time coughing up the bread for the car itself I the original condition. Couldn't imagine then dropping almost the same amount on restoring. Maybe I'm wrong but it's not cheap. Result is top notch here.
@@cdesousa6339 20k for a corrosion job? You serious? I'm in the wrong trade. A top end glass off paint job on a Ferrari is 20k!
we're talking at least 4-5k for the work that doesn't include the parts that are probably around 3k
@@dsbigboss6212 nah...he said in the video just the consumables (nuts/bolts) were £1000.... I'm going for 18-20k for the whole job
@@cdesousa6339 exactly what I thought..I saw the sill repair on a BMW Z3 these guys did..and that alone was £4k
Beautiful work. How much do you i have to use on a e46 330i ZHP autom 2003. sedan?
very nice
Educaded guess: You probably could of gotten a new BMW for the SAME price ? You must really like THAT one. Still, it's an Awesome project, the extra care and long hours spent really show.
haha e46 M3? Whats not to love?!
Wow!
I've a stone mint yellow M3 now, Waxoyl to the rescue!
