    A trick I saw someone on a forum use to press bushing or bearings into tight fittings is to put the parts in the freezer a while before installing, and warming up the area that they will be going into.

      No problem. I still needed to use a generic bushing tool and various size sockets as well. But this tool was the only specialised one. Its gone up in price quite alot since i bought it 3 tears ago but so far i have used in on an e39, e36 and now e46

      @@OEMplusRESTO I would love for you to do it but I'd have to get passports for me the missus and my daughter and then gather some new parts ,like bushes ,bolts and any other hardware needed,you did a great job on your 330ci ,I'll just have to try getting it sorted here,I dont have garage so I work out back of house, half on road half on footpath, a bit sketchy but it works but only when weather is good so thanks anyway,if I ever do get chance to visit I'll let you know maybe get a set of wheels or 2 picked up for you

      Any time. I did use a more generic bushing tool as well and a regular socket or two. But this tool have worked for most stuff so far, including e39 and e36

    Another good video!
    did you use the same paint from the subframe for the diff? (I don't know what temperature are reaching these diffs)
    from where did you get the repair manual (with pictures of how all the bushings should be oriented before installation)
    thanks :)

    • @OEMplusRESTO
      @OEMplusRESTO  7 місяців тому

      Thank you. The diff was painted in hammerite smooth black spray paint as it was in decent shape already. If the surface is rusted i use a brush instead. Have never had any issues with paint om these diffs afterwards but there are probably better options out there. This is just cheap and easy, and looks good
