One little tidbit about the Heavy lunchbox items but in particular the Sandvich is that they recharge fully off healthkits, including small ones. As a result a heavy with the Sandvich can effectively pick up a small healthkit, turn it into a medium healthkit and then carry it to a teammate who needs it. This is fairly niche in normal TF2, but I feel like it would actually be very useful in Medieval mode since everyone drops a small healthkit on death, and since respawning healthkits are scarce on DeGroot Keep, picking up dropped healthkits can potentially impact the enemy team's ability to heal
The market gardener and third degree can get very specific uses out of their upsides in medieval mode, the gardener if he's launched by a caber, and the axe if it hits a medic who's using the amputator taunt or someone getting healed by it

The back scratcher is a gamebreaking evil thing. This weapon alone makes any other melee within it's proximity look like a joke since pyro already has relatively high health, decent movement speed and crits 24/7 with this thing.
The Manntreads deserve to be higher on the list. You can use the ‘Treads anytime, but with the banners, you need to fill up a damage meter (unless you have the Conch which then you’re getting health regeneration and 20 more health with the Battalion’s Backup. But then again, the ‘Treads provide more upsides than the banners).
I think that Sandman deserves better, when normally there is no reason to use it at all, in medieval its a great support weapon, basicly you can terrorize some annoying demoknights/spies by slowing effect that have a power of death sentence when used propely. Also including the fact that almost everyone play fast classes there, so there is finally a good reason to slow enemy down to walking speed of the Heavy.. and size of the only medieval map makes ball simply in use way more often
The issue with the slow effect has always been that walking diagonally completely negates the effect. So it really only affects actively charging demoknights and people who don't know better, which is still a fairly good effect, but certainly not worth the downsides.
I once played this mode with my friend, and the strat was simple, they were 2 boxer heavies, and me a conch and disciplinary action soldier suppoeting them, but somehow i ended up in the last point alone against the defense, and somehow i got 3 kills by myself before dying
16:27 Idk what wiki is yapping about. It does 126 at most A N D in order to do 126 dmg you literally have to be bumping enemy gamer playerbox before hitting them, Aka you'll literally only able to see that 126 dmg against unaware snipers who wont see you coming behind their back and wont move away in casual or some melee users who dont realise they dont need to be that close to do dmg.
I would have to say the zatoichi is S tier, healing is fairly limited inside of medieval mode, and while you do get the small health packs on kill, it isn’t amazing. For large fights, you can keep kicking for a long time.
Conniver's should probably be S for its peak potential given it is *the* spy main knife and now they dont have guns to worry about and all kinds of slopes to stab you on. But it's a hard weapon to truly see the ceiling of if you aren't especially practiced.
Honestly, I think the Fan O' War should be in D tier because a Fan O' War helps the whole team and paired with the flying guillotine, you can easily kill any light classes and still be able to put out great DPS over some enemies if they survive. Although the 1 increase in bleed damage isn't much, its still paired with 50 damage + the minicrit bonus. Overall, its a great combo, and very underrated. The only problem with the combo is you have to be close, and the only source of actual damage is the flying guillotine.
holiday punch should definitely ranked higher than stock fist, the crit may not kill people but its instant deny, say demoknight with 200+ HP is instantly shutted down or death ringer spy and theres nothing they can do. Plus as heavy you are most likely move with your team mate and they'll be your finisher. razorback is a niche sniper vs sniper duel backpack, is the only thing you should be using if you are gonna fight that one sniper with the fire arrow
There is a genuine case to be made for Battalion's being the best Soldier Banner in Medieval. The Crit Immunity and Damage Resist in a gamemode where 90% of the enemy team has ways of Guaranteeing Crits and increasing damage can be insanely powerful for Defense. Even better, in a 1 on 1 between Battalion's and the other banners, it completely negates Banner and can severely decrease the healing given out by Conch
i like the detail that the demoman's chapter name (youtube) is mispelled as demoan and soldier chapter name (invideo) is mispelled as solider reflecting the lore of tf2 that demoman is friend of the enemy's team soldier.

Cozy Camper deserves at least C tier Because it at least gives a passive hp regen Oh and also the spycicle doesn’t melt in Medieval mode Making it free fire resistance
The third degree’s upside only applies to Amputator medics, which will damage both the heal target and the medic, but wont hit anyone else if you hit the medic
I think the third degree can damage everyone healed by the amputator taunt ... Maybe only if you hit the medic, I forgot. But that can lead to some nice damage. Maybe not enough for B tier, but has it's moments. Only to equip if you see a medic regularly do it I guess
Equalizer is at least c tier to though. Equalizer's damage penatly gets offset by the fact you get random crits all the time, meaning as long is you don't get killed instantly you have a chance to do more damage than stock. Also, you have a better chance at using a banner with this weapon on the same principle, while also having a lot of synergy with the Backup and Conch. Also, also, you can start with a damage bonus if you jump off the walls. This works with either of the aformentioned banners because they increase your survivability after the fact. The tauntkill can be used to clear a point in certain situations. (The mantreads are E tier as well because you can damage an enemy ahead of time in skirmishes. Not useless, especially if you plan on dying anyways for the greater cause or if you bank on the fact of getting a kill with the Zatoichi.)
18:31 the banana recharges three times for every sandvich recharge, don't no if you meant to word it like that but I had a hard time understanding that
My favourite load out (and why I feel like the turner should be in A) for demoknight is Boots Tide Turner Half Zatoichi Every kill you get an immediate 100% charge, you can choose if you gotta get out, or get another minicrit. The Zatoichi provides you with a good chunk of health, as you are now tied with soldier in health, and when you get to overheal range you are practically unkillable. The turner allows some VERY satisfying kills, and if you are getting chased you can get some hits on a sniper or spy to have an advantage. Don't back away because of the mini crits, I have gotten 10+ killstreaks on offense last with this
When you talked about the cozy camper, you just forgot about the passive health. It’s FREE HEALTH vs NOTHING in your secondary slot, it’s B tier, not F

They should let engie build dispensers in medieval mode
Make his dispenser look like a hunk of ham spitroasting over a fire with a stack of arrows next to it
I once played this mode with my friend, and the strat was simple, they were 2 boxer heavies, and me a conch and disciplinary action soldier suppoeting them, but somehow i ended up in the last point alone against the defense, and somehow i got 3 kills by myself before dying
The sandman's max hp penalty breaks the threshold for one-shotting with a fully charged huntsman arrow even on bodyshots
20:49 i remember getting the achievement for emoting as sniper after a kill.
That's forever gonna live in my head rent free
I would have to say the zatoichi is S tier, healing is fairly limited inside of medieval mode, and while you do get the small health packs on kill, it isn’t amazing. For large fights, you can keep kicking for a long time.
Its criminal you cant use the gas passer in medieval mode. It have been useful outside of mvm for once.
Conniver's should probably be S for its peak potential given it is *the* spy main knife and now they dont have guns to worry about and all kinds of slopes to stab you on. But it's a hard weapon to truly see the ceiling of if you aren't especially practiced.
Ah yes, my favorite class. The Solider. Not to be confused with the Liquider.
the disciplinary action has the melee Marth grab range
Honestly, I think the Fan O' War should be in D tier because a Fan O' War helps the whole team and paired with the flying guillotine, you can easily kill any light classes and still be able to put out great DPS over some enemies if they survive. Although the 1 increase in bleed damage isn't much, its still paired with 50 damage + the minicrit bonus. Overall, its a great combo, and very underrated. The only problem with the combo is you have to be close, and the only source of actual damage is the flying guillotine.
Its wild that you can use the watches but not a jar of piss
Piss was invented after the medieval times so it makes sense
We need more medieval mode maps
The Eureka effect is fine on defense since you respawn right next to the point inside the castle.
holiday punch should definitely ranked higher than stock fist, the crit may not kill people but its instant deny, say demoknight with 200+ HP is instantly shutted down or death ringer spy and theres nothing they can do. Plus as heavy you are most likely move with your team mate and they'll be your finisher.
razorback is a niche sniper vs sniper duel backpack, is the only thing you should be using if you are gonna fight that one sniper with the fire arrow
My favorite part of these ratings is that it sounds like the soldiers shoes were forgotten and had to be recoded later
NOT SO LOUDLY
This mode needs way more maps
And here i thought my channel was perfect, damn it
i think the comment has unclear, i mean that the spelling errors in the video made a reference to the tf2 lore
or i am just overthinking as usual @@THEBIG-1
I think the fan o war deserves more credit, I use it with the mad milk as a pseudo-support scout and honestly do pretty well
Cozy Camper deserves at least C tier
Because it at least gives a passive hp regen
Oh and also the spycicle doesn’t melt in Medieval mode
Making it free fire resistance
The third degree’s upside only applies to Amputator medics, which will damage both the heal target and the medic, but wont hit anyone else if you hit the medic
You can use the third degree if you find a medic who is using the healing saw taunt
It is the third agree
thanks@@fujiwaranonekobiodrando1257
I think the third degree can damage everyone healed by the amputator taunt ... Maybe only if you hit the medic, I forgot. But that can lead to some nice damage. Maybe not enough for B tier, but has it's moments.
Only to equip if you see a medic regularly do it I guess
Great video, I really respect the use of SM64 Black Hole Sun in the Soldier section.
25:45 excuse me what?! Did you just straight up forget the passive healing or what's going on?
1:33 that description is a bit outdated. Despite this small oversight I pointed out for no reason, great video!
I can't believe they added another medieval mode map.
Not useless, especially if you plan on dying anyways for the greater cause or if you bank on the fact of getting a kill with the Zatoichi.)
wait, bushwhacka has GAMAGE VULNERABILITY!? i have over 1300h, played on sniper only with it and only now i learn about it. just... lol.
No but for real, WHO THOUGH IT WAS A GOOD IDEA THAT THE SCOTSMAN SCULL CUTTER CRIT?!
18:31 the banana recharges three times for every sandvich recharge, don't no if you meant to word it like that but I had a hard time understanding that
13:50 “it doesn’t guarantee you a random crit”
My favourite load out (and why I feel like the turner should be in A) for demoknight is
Boots
Tide Turner
Half Zatoichi
Every kill you get an immediate 100% charge, you can choose if you gotta get out, or get another minicrit. The Zatoichi provides you with a good chunk of health, as you are now tied with soldier in health, and when you get to overheal range you are practically unkillable. The turner allows some VERY satisfying kills, and if you are getting chased you can get some hits on a sniper or spy to have an advantage.
Don't back away because of the mini crits, I have gotten 10+ killstreaks on offense last with this
“Demoman is the best class in the game.” Medic has left the building
The third degree applies to medics using the amputator taunt.
When you talked about the cozy camper, you just forgot about the passive health. It’s FREE HEALTH vs NOTHING in your secondary slot, it’s B tier, not F
there’s no piss in medieval?
@@joycongrip no there isnt
Atomizer and guillotine is my favorite scout setup to run on degroot keep. If you know how to jump around and make it inside the castle you can just annoy people with your guillotine and run away if they try to get you. Inflict bleed on as many people possible.
The bonk has a fun gimmick by roleplaying as Gandalf using a kill taunt for any unfortunate soul trying to pass the gates
the sandman is actually pretty good when paired with the cleaver. 45 damage critical plus the 50 damage from the cleaver makes it pretty powerful, and without sacrificing melee damage. the only real downside is huntsmen can one shot you to the body, but it's easy to work around.
