LOVE your kitty mug!! Your knitting is AMAZING as always!! The slippers are OUTSTANDING!! Cracked up when you opened your yarn cabinet from Heaven!! Thank you for another GREAT podcast!!
Thank you so much Darlene!! My kids who are apparently adults now (how did that happen?) usually buy me a mug for birthday or Mother’s Day - and this Cat Lover one was of those. Have a great day!
It's amazing to see the sheep shearing. Thank you for sharing. It makes me love wool even more
Thank you Shelagh! I look forward to loving that fleece into skein somehow!
Loved seeing all of your knits. I also love that with every video that you acknowledge the land/territory you are recording on.
Thank you so much Carolyn!
Such a great look at your knits. I remember your projects throughout your podcasts. Thank you Leanne.
Thank you so much for being here this year Rosemary!
So many makes Leanne! Seeing the Rebecca Danger toys reminded me I had knit a few of those in the past and really enjoyed them. I made Sammy the sock monster, Penelope the Empathic monster, monster chunk and Herman the enigmatic bear. I love seeing their wee personalities coming to life as I sewed on arms and eyes. Lots of fun!
Oh yes! Those are classics!
That was fabulous, as always! Thank you so much! Loved seeing all our knits - lots of inspiration there - and the sheepy bit at the end was cool. Keeping those gorgeous knits handy's a good idea. Good luck with the stash busting. You're so organized with measuring it all and having a reward system, love it!
Thank you so much Catriona! I always appreciate your messages! So kind 😊
Leanne, loved the montage of the knits in 2022, they were all Gorgeous. Lucky you & Sister to be up close to the sheep shearing, wow, hope you keep us posted on what you do with the 3 bags full. So interesting to watch. Happy knitting. 🤗
Thank you so much Sue!
You were very knitty in 2022. You made some beautiful pieces. Since you are "busting balls" in 2023 I'm sure that you will have a robust FO parade next January. 😉
I think that is the neatest thing that you able to both witness the shearing and bring home some of the product. I love the personality of sheep. 🐑🐑
Thanks for sharing. ❤
I certainly have my ball busting work cut out for me phewf!! The sheep shearing was so interesting. Happy knitting and quilting to you this year!
I had a great time just knitting and re-seeing all the fantastic things! Amazing shearing day too!
Thank you for hanging out with me Nikki!
Thank you Leanne, yes that was relaxing, fun and inspiring. A lovely summary of all your knits. Your podcast has introduced me to patterns I otherwise wouldn't have heard of, so thank you again. Sarah, NZ
Wonderful! Thank you Sarah!
Omy goodness Leanne! Thank you so much for making this episode! It was so fun to see all your knits of 2022, and adding lots to my Ravelry queue lol. Your shawls were just *chef's kiss* perfect! and I want them all lol. Stay warm out there! Cheers ~Sophie💖
Thank you so much Sophie! I owed you some as I take away at least 2 projects to add to my queue after every one of your episodes! Staying warm and knitting fast out here ❄️
Thanks for the show and tell of your 2022 knits. Lots of inspiration for us knitters! Your travels are a mini vacation for me that I throughly enjoy! Happy Knitting and Ball Busting this year!
Thank you for travelling with me Dee! What came off your needles in 2022 that made your heart sing?
Very inspiring and enjoyable!!! Glad you jumped on the round up bandwagon. 🧶💕🧶
Thank you! 😊
Thanks Leanne - great job of showing off your lovely knits! Good luck on the challenge!
Thank you Edythe! 😊
Thx for showing your '22 knits .Love them all. Wear them more. Enjoy some more knitting pounds on your adventure this '23.
Thank you so much! Will do!
Lovely knits. Thank you for sharing. Especially the sheep shearing. Didn't realize there was a sheep farm so close to us. Take care.
Hi Donna thank you! My sister found the farm looking on Facebook sheep farmer groups. There’s a few!
Great roundup of your 2022 knits. I’d say you have a good year knit wise. Thanks for sharing.
Oh thank you so much! It was a good year, some less than desirable outcomes, but I forgot all about those when the Zweig came off the needles and I danced around in it! Hope you had a good knitting/creating year?
Terrific presentation of your wonderful year of knitting....NOT at all tedious as you seemed to worry about! Your Zweig is beyond gorgeous.
Thank you so much Constance! My Zweig is hands down #1 my favourite garment everrrrr. 🧡
Dang girl, you are off the hook! I mean you totally "Rock" 🎸
Aw Annettte YOU rock for saying that 🤘🏼!
I enjoy your podcast so much. Thank you for showing all your knits of 2022 and providing the details. Love the sheep shearing. 😊
Thank you so much Shannon!! The sheep shearing was such a cool experience!!
I love your Zweig too ❤
Thanks Carol!
So lovely to see your year of knits in review, Leanne. So many great projects and now I want to make them all, especially that Zweig. Thanks for being you and for all the laughs and inspiration. 🥰🧶🤟🇨🇦🍁🎵
Thank you so soo much Jennifer! It’s messages like this that make me LOVE doing these podcasts. Fibre friends are the best 🤗!! Are you going to make a Zweig!?
@@theknittystew I hope so. So far I have only managed one sweater that fits well-Gauge and I are still struggling -just finished a Lento-loved knitting it, loved the yarn, but it’s a touch snug and the neck is really itchy (very sensitive skin), so someone will get a lovely new black sweater made by me- sigh. I have a cardigan that I have to rip back as the sleeves are way too long (the joys of super wash). I am about to cast on a Felix cardigan and have another sweater in the wings (can’t remember the pattern name). Once I have those done, I am hoping to be better at fit and gauge and THEN, it will be the Zweig. I am going to dream about what yarn to use- yours is beautiful! I have knit most of my lifetime, but mainly baby sweaters and accessories. Now I am k urging for me sometimes.
Thrilled to see this appear...nothing like chasing away the commuting, January blues with a quiet sit down with you. So much amazing knitting...Thank you Leanne!
This thrills me to no end Sarah, because your episodes always show up at just the right time to fill up my cup! Thank you 😊
Such a delight to see a fun episode on a snowy freezing day in my neighborhood, I just cast on another C Train hat, a friend asked for something warm and pretty....My 2nd one using your method of just Far on US 7...last one was perfect! I have added many items to my queue! Thanks L !
That is awesome Janice! On The C Train hats for ALL THE MASSES! What colour of FAR did you choose?
I enjoyed seeing your lovely projects. You are excellent with giving concise explanations and moving on quickly - very good pacing. I’m inspired to try several of your projects. Your favorite sweater is beautiful.
Thank you so much Dolly I really appreciate you saying that! Happy knitting!
Hi Leanne, so nice to see you and all your knitwear of 2022. You really made a lot! Thank you for taking me on your trip, I would love to spin that wool!!
Hi Joke! Thank you so much. How gorgeous is that Rambouillet fleece!?
I always enjoy your podcasts, Leanne. I love this country and seeing it through the eyes of a kindred knitting spirit is such a joy. Thank you for taking us with you on your adventures. PS I see a Zweig in my future ❤
Thank you so much Diane! Messages like this keep me inspired to create these videos - the true engagement of fellow knitters and “travellers”! Have a wonderful year of knitting!
I enjoyed this podcast quite a bit. As for your unworn accessories: Mine are in a basket by the door. On my way out I grab a hat, a scarf, shawl, etc. Easy-peasy.
Hi Cindy ! Yes exactly ! This is a goal - to be wearing more knits every day!
Fun roundup! With all that fleece to spin you’ll soon have your cupboard full again 🤗🐑
Thank you! I know it’s a never ending cycle. I had my sister take that fleece to her place and we will enjoy the process of fleece to skein!
Yours is the only roundup I've watched. It was fun to see some of the knits from before I started watching your podcast. Great adventure!
Wow thank you! That is a huge compliment. I appreciate you watching and being here! What are you knitting/working on?
@@theknittystew and I meant to comment, that green is the BEST color!!!! Although I’m partial to chartreuse. So many things, lots of socks, a couple of tees and sweaters. I am not monogamous and just cast on whenever I feel like it. I just picked back up my Rockit Tee by Tanis Fiber Arts using yarn I bought in Norway.
I can't believe how much knitting you did last year! I'm in awe x
I literally would knit 24/7 if I could 🤩
What a full year of beautiful knits!
Thank you Amber! I love it when fond memories are wrapped in our projects and their stitches 🤍
That was nice. I enjoyed seeing the products again, but the shearing was also neat - it seemed that the 🐑 were very chill with the process!
Thank you so much! The sheep were really calm. The shearers were very confident and gentle too, which I suspect puts the sheep at ease. It was such a cool experience!
I didn't think sheep would be shorn in the cold winter! Hope they stayed warm enough. What a productive knitting year you had, I think I see a tamitik hat in my future!
Apparently it’s done for the ewes before they lamb (they can’t do so with all that fleece). The facility was well set up with barns etc. and YES I wore my Tamitik today in fact!
@@theknittystew Yay for sheep!
I really enjoyed this episode! I have been following you only for a short time, so it's great to have a nice summary of all your knits. They are gorgeous and I got a lot of inspiration. Thank you!
Awesome, thank you so much! I am really glad to hear about that inspiration - that’s why I personally love watching podcasts to see ‘the things’ 😊
Love everything you create! I am totally enabled by patterns and beautiful yarn choices! Thank you so much for sharing! Appreciate you!
Thank you for watching Patricia! Me too! I REALLY love watching “Show & Share” podcasts where I have the same taste as the host and I’m so happy!
Not boring at all, you inspire me to knit unspun yarn.
Aw yay Nicole! My next foray into Unspun will be with Wooldreamers Manchelopi because it is already pre wound double stranded!
@@theknittystew 🥰
Wow Leanne! What a production you have this year! My top 3 of it: #3: The Frog, #2: The Dunyvaig and #1: The Zweig!! This #1 is just wowowowow! Thanks for this episode, see you soon I hope! xx
Thanks so much Guylaine! 😊
Thank you Leanne for another great episode. You have been a prolific knitter in 2022. Lots of inspiration. The Zweig is next on my queue. Yours is absolutely beautiful. Great choice of colours.
Oh thank you Celia! Look forward to seeing your Zweig
The colours in your sweater are just amazing ❤❤❤❤
Thank you! I’ve been wearing it SOO much.
Absolutely enjoyed your "makes 2022” podcast…. Watched right to the end 😂❤ lové that Zweig 😘
Yay, thank you so much Elaine!
I always enjoy your podcasts, so relaxing and informative. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much I really appreciate that!
Such a wonderful wrap-up of your 2022 knits. I loved the footage of the sheep shearing and looking forward to seeing what you make with it. Such beautiful fleece! Happy travels and good knitting in 2023!
Thank you so much Noel! Happy knitting to you as well. What was your favourite knit item you made in 2022?
Beautiful knits🥰 Thank you for sharing them. So much Inspiration! Wishing you a wonderful week☕️🧶✨️
Thank you so much! You as well!
Loved seeing your prolifiic collecion of things you knitted in 2022! You are truly inspirational!!!!!!
Thank you so much Carrie! Did you knit a favourite project in 2022?
@@theknittystew Hi Leanne, Yes, I did knit a few things and what I am most proud of is my 1st pair of socks! I thought I had a terminal case of stupid because I had to rip out the top band 4 times!!! I could not make the laddering disappear and I kept screwing up on the 1x1 ribbing. But I was determined to do it so I told myself I had to frog so they would look nice. I'm glad I stayed determined bcuz I was so happy when I finished them. You know that feeling!!!!!! I started my 2nd pair and they are coming along a lot faster now that I am used to the fingering weight. I also knitted a zipper sweater (1st top-down raglan sleeves I tried) and hat for my 3 year old grandaughter in Noro worsted in pink and gray stripes and she was thrilled. They turned out so cute! I've done some other stuff too but everyday I can't wait to knit. Now I'm knitting a sweater for my oldest son and he is such a tall guy so more knitting real estate (6'6" tall) and I'm dying to get it done so I can do the next thing! I also decided to start moving all my plastic stash bins of yarn from the backyard shed into the house. I had to store all that stuff when my home got remodeled. I have been winding all the skeins in the stash to balls b4 putting them in the bins as well as cataloging everything so I know exactly what I have available. There are some truly beautiful yarns that I'm so glad to have now for my retirement. I love that fact that you guys validate having a stash because I used to feel guilty that I wasn't knitting like I should be (working full time) but so many knitters have way big stashes and multiple projects on the needles so now my guilt is a thing of the past. BTW - LOVE your dk gray and orange fairway sweater!!!!!! If I try colorwork it's going to be that pattern. Also, I love the dk green on you- it's your star color!!!!!! The ranunculas sweater is fabulous😍 Cant wait for your next vlodcast!!!!! -Carrie
@@carmeslynn what a great message back! Laughed our loud at “knitting real estate” (6’6”!!) Wishing you ALLL the happiest knitting!
All your knits for 2022 are beautiful and I love the slippers! Thanks for sharing
Thank you so much Kaye!
It was my first Time watching your podcast!!! I loved it so much!
I live in Coaticook , Quebec… love to knit, sew and all kinds of crafting that can help express my creativity!
Hi Diane thank you so much for watching and checking out my channel! I appreciate that! Admittedly, I am not crafty in other needle arts - one trick knitting pony I am.
I’m so glad you jumped on this bandwagon and did a year end review. I love seeing your work. I can’t wait to see more podcasts from you this year.
Aw Nancy thank you so much for being here! Such a kind thing to say.
The Starflower Slippers are amazing!! I'm a new knitter and would love a video tutorial on how to make those! Love them! Great job!
Thank you Jaime they really challenged me a lot. I would have loved a video tutorial too! I find Scandinavian pattern designers do NOT hold your hand when making their designs, which can be tricky!
It's always a joy watching your videos, thanks so much for sharing 😊
So nice of you thank you Miki!!
Hello from Toronto. Loved seeing your projects knit with Canadian yarns.
Hello! Thank you! 😊 Big fan of the homegrown wool and mills!
Hello from Quebec!
Great recap and great job with all your beautiful knits.
Appreciate all your podcasts, thanks for sharing.
Merci Manon! I appreciate that encouragement A LOT! Where do you shop for yarn in your area of Quebec?
@The Knitty Stew
Favorite local yarn place called Les Laines Biscotte
(wish i had spare time to go visit different farms and yarn spinning mills all over Quebec but i guess this will be part future travel plans.:)
Thank you for another great podcast. I love the sisters in Dickies idea lol!!
Haha! I think I could talk them into it
I love watching your podcast. It’s wonderful.
Thank you thank you Linda! I appreciate that a lot!
Lovely to see you again. And visit old friends!! (😁….your knits. 🤣🤭).
That’s right Beryl! We all go way back don’t we!
That rununculus is beautiful!
Thank you so much Kathleen! I think a 3rd one is inevitable 🌟
Hi there Leanne, I luv all of your knits from 2022! You have been busy, the cardigan you made for your friend is epic! It looks like it fit him perfect. I’m in the middle of knitting a Gramps Cardigan for my niece, for her 3rd Birthday in March. Watching the shearing at the end was wonderful, have a fantastic day 😘
Thank you so much Charlene!
Love your podcast!
Yay, thank you so much Mary! 🌟
Your Zweig truly is one of the best knits I have seen. Everything just works! I want it lol
Oh thank you Colette! Are you going to make one!? 👏🏼
@@theknittystew I might! Going to copy your colour combo, it's the best for me from all the other colour combo's people have used for this project.

But have not made myself anything
I did at least 20 fingerless mitts and not one pair for me lol
I love to give fir family, friend and for the needy

But I said this year I’m making myself a sweater, have never knitted with all this beautiful wool … this yr I’m going to
I love all these podcasts so many ideas !!
I love yours as I one time lived in strathmore AB

Sisters with the matching Dickey’s on the ballbusting event...you’re cracking me up 😅. This is the 2nd podcast I’ve watched of yours! I’ve subscribed so I don’t miss future ones ❤ you have some beautiful knits. Nice handiwork !

The Zweig is hands down the MOST worn garment I’ve ever made. I wore it yesterday in fact. Have you made one?
First time watching really enjoyable. Loved seeing all of 2022 knits put some In my favourite 😍
Hi Caroline! Thank you so much for being here. Really glad you enjoyed! Happy knitting 😊
So much fun to see all your makes of 2022. Thanks for taking the time to share 😊
Thanks for watching! It was my pleasure!
Thank you so much for sharing! I enjoyed the whole thing. Rambling? What rambling?😊
Hahaha! You are too kind 😂
Super 2022 knits. Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to the upcoming episodes.
Thank you so much Alyson!
Great podcast! It’s wonderful (and inspiring!) to see all of the beautiful knits you’ve made this past year! Thanks for sharing! ❤
Thank you so much AaronTrish02! I hope you had some amazing knitting successes in 2022. Any favourites you made?
Hi! I’m a fairly new knitter, so I’m working on a cabled scarf at the moment.. But you’ve given me a lot of inspiration! 😊
@@aarontrish02 yay!!!
Your podcasts are awesome! You remind me so much of Sandra Brock another Canadian UA-camr who funny enough raises sheep for wool and other things. Look forward to seeing what you have up your sleeve in 2023!
Wow, thank you Cheryl! Someone else mentioned that I have a podcast twin!
Hi Leanne, what a woolly journey! You have been so prolific. I am also a cat lover, a knitter, and I live n Australia. I love your beautiful knits. I like your rumba comparison, the need to have a quick finish between longer term knits is understandable. I am so grateful to the woolly community for allowing us to view each others wonderful handiwork. The Zweig colours are so lovely and the fit is beautiful, by far my pick of the knits for you in 2022. The slippers are a close second. I’m looking forward to seeing more of your work in 2023. Cheers!
Hello to you in Australia Christine! I am with you in gratitude for the online woolly community! Now my husband doesn’t have to listen to me drone on and on haha
Thanks for the recap for your 2022 knits! That was fun. Definitely get a gleener - worth it! They are made here in Montreal.
I loved seeing everything. Thanks for the time! - ALL THE BEST, Kimberly
Thank you! Did you have a favourite knit you made in 2022?
@@theknittystew I think it was my vanilla socks by the Crazy Sock Lady (finally mastered fit with her patterns and tutorials), and the Shift by Andrea Mowry.. wear it all the time. Her items for me are so wearable. Came to the same conclusion as you with bulky knits. I just don't like them on me. I need to make those frogs this year because they're adorable!
Delighted to see all your knits
Thank you Jo-Anne
Very much enjoyed seeing all your 2022 knits. You have done a great job...
Thank you so much Connie !
I so enjoyed this! Seeing everything folks have made over the year is so cool & you have done some really beautiful work! Thank you for sharing!! 💙 Your Pressed Flowers looks amazing! I’m obsessed with those patterns
Thank you so much Knitiva!! Have you made the other Pressed Flowers patterns?
@@theknittystew I made the shawl last year and it's my most favorite knit to date--I love it so much! I do have plans for a hat though, and I've been trying so hard to finish a couple other things before I cast it on.
Very interesting but scary because now I have a list of things I want to knit 😍
Ha that’s what I found watching everyone else’s 2022 round ups !!
Beautiful things you made this last year. I haven’t watched before, but I will be back! Thanks and happy knitting from BC!!
Thank you so much for checking out my Channel!
I think it would be a good idea if you put your lovely items in the cupboard now instead of waiting to get the stash out the way, it seems to me it would feel like you were already almost there with the ball busting and you could show off those beautiful knitting projects. Best wishes from Australia.
That's a great idea! I think I need more shelves!
Enjoyed the podcast, especially the footage at the end. I used to visit a Hutterite colony school as part of my job before I retired and I always enjoyed those visits. It’s a bit like traveling back in time or at least I found it to be that way. I had the privilege of eating in the dining hall once and it was fabulous. I am inspired by your projects- I’m also trying to knit from stash this year. Not entirely, but have designated some skeins to knit this year.
That's awesome! Thanks Hazel! They have such a wonderful operation down there at that farm. Definitely enjoyed the experience. Now to figure out how to sort, scour, card, spin all that fleece!
Hello, your version of the Zweig is one of my favorites, I have to make one ! Thank you for sharing your makes of the year, always inspiring.
Thank you Nadine! The Zweig is my most worn, and favourite garment I’ve knit to date! Highly recommend.
That was a fun podcast. Some very beautiful knits.
Thank you Ruth Ann! 😊
So many beautiful projects. I loved seeing them all and bookmarked a couple for my query! Your second Ranunculus fits so nicely. So many versions of it are hugely oversized. I prefer your version.
Oh thank you so much Lulienne! I am wearing it a lot now that I extended the length to my comfort zone!
What nice stuff you knit, that was a busy year, really enjoyed watching!
Thank you! 😊
Thanks so much, pure delight!!❤
Thank you Xus
Thank you for this podcast! I remember each project and appreciated the different cities you visited when you recorded. I thoroughly enjoyed this podcast and look forward to more podcasts as you bust your balls! 😂
Aw thank you Lori for continuing to travel with me this past year! Did you make something that you loved a lot in 2022?
@@theknittystew Yes! I made pullover sweaters, one for my 5 year old grandson -the Sweet Sage by Jessica McDonald-and one for my 4 year old granddaughter-the Flax by Tin Can Knits. Both are loved by the kids so I think I’ll make this a yearly goal, especially since they grow out of them after a few months! I’d also like to add the knitted toys that you’ve knitted-they are precious! 💕
It was lovely to see all of your knits for 2022. One thought I had, why not put your yarn stash in the trunk and your knits in the armoire so they are more accessible? Best wishes for 2023 and safe travels!
Hi Patty that is a very good idea! I do however have a system in my armoire where I put the different weights of yarn (fingering on the top shelf sport and DK on the middle, etc..) that if they all went into the trunk they wouldn't be separate. But I could put my knits in my trunk.
Wow! You were really busy! Everything was beautiful! Hey from Hiddenite North Carolina!!💜💚🌻🌻
Hello Trena!! Hope your 2023 knitting plans are WONDERFUL!
Your light coloured Runucullus is very pretty. If you had any of the green left maybe you could add some length to the sleeves so they don’t flare and flip.
That is a great idea! I wouldn’t need much. I’ve got 29 yards left of it.
8:21 ahhhhh these slippers
