Love your hair! Don't be so hard on yourself on your first ply...it's beautiful and will look wonderful knit up. Haven't been with Craftsy since they were sold...I'll have to check them out again. Loved your Moncton video.❤
A beautiful episode of my little corner of the world! You do amazing for describing it and telling a bit of our story and thank you for mentioning the Acadians! We are proud of our heritage 😊 Great Cardi! I want to make one and the same colour. It was so exciting to see my knitty friends Sophie and Nancy 💕
🩵🩵🤍🤍
Your hair is perfect for you! Great job! I think k I missed out on adding a comment about mussels, but in 2016, hubby, our teen girls and I made an epic road trip out east from SW Ontario. We had a proper Lobster supper at a church hall on PEI, and our appetizer was a large bucket of mussels! When we finished them, the server asked if we'd like another bucket. We would have loved another bucket, but our lobster dinner was still coming, and dessert! It was the best meal in the entire 2 weeks!
I just discovered your channel, and I am thrilled. You are just what I have been looking for: someone pleasant to listen to while you talk about yarn and knitting to keep me company while I rest and knit at the end of a long day. And I am thrilled about the added bonus of seeing the wonderful places that you go.
Hi Opal! Thank you for taking the time to write me this lovely message. I am THRILLED you're here and that I can keep you company. Are you in Canada?
@@theknittystew No. I live in the mountains of North Carolina in the United States. I live on my nephew's little farm. He has sheep and goats. And I have a pet rabbit, a cat, and 6 budgies.
Happy all the BAM things! Love the hair and the yarn. You inspired me. I am traveling, and I ran out to buy yarn to start my Party-Line scarf with your additions for length.
Wonderful!
Cute haircut and mushrooms. As always love the scenes and information.
😊
Hi Leanne. Love your podcast and totally jealous you get to travel like you do!! I have a nano spinner in the packing box. Need to get on with it!! I am a very avid knitter and so thankful for it. Keeps me sane!!
Loved your projects and appreciated the opportunity to try Craftsy. 😊 Thank you! I always enjoy your podcasts.
Thank you so much Heidi!! 😁🤍
Happy Belated B-A-M. !!!
Thank you!!!
Watching this always makes me so happy and a little homesick. Your makes are beautiful as is the new "do". Take a look at the Minimalist Shawl by Melanie Rice. It was a fun make for me and I always get lots of compliments when I wear it for travel. Happy belated BAM.
Thank you Sandra! I am happy it makes you happy.. sorry about the lowkey homesickness. Where are you currently located? I just added The Minimalist Shawl to my Favourites - perfect shawl 👌🏼
Loving your new do 💁🏻♀️ and all your knitting creations 🧶☮️💫
Thank you so much 😊
Hi Leanne. Your podcast is now my favourite knitting podcast! Thanks so much for sharing your knitting and travel. You are a delight to listen to whilst knitting. On listening this am to this podcast, I had to dye up some wool to knit the Cocktail cardigan. Yours looks amazing on you. Beautiful fit and colour choice. I am watching from NZ where I hear one of your sisters lives, and one of your friends. I will now be binge watching all of your previous episodes whilst I knit on a just started cloud sweater. 🥰❤
Ohh a hand dyed Cocktail Cardigan!! Glorious!!
@@theknittystew Hi Leanne - just a semi tonal though 😃
👏🏼
What a pretty red cardi! I always enjoy your projects and want knit what you knit! One day I would love to meet you in Knit City Calgary. Will you be attending? 🥰
Oh yes I will !
Love your finishes they are beautiful!
Thanks Diana!
Love the video of Moncton and surrounding area. I live on Vancouver Island and still hope to visit the Maritimes one day. Thank you
I hope you get there to visit too!
What lovely pictures of Moncton. I follow Nancy and love her podcast as well. You always seem to find a wonderful yarn shop wherever you go. Your Cocktail cardigan is gorgeous--added that pattern to my list. And, I love your new hair cut. Look forward to your next podcast, wherever you are!
I made the Sunset Highway at the beginning of this year. I love it! I think size 2 is perfect for you. The major modification I made was the placement of the colour work on the sleeves. I felt the original placement made the arms look cut off at the elbow (depending on colour choices of course), I moved it to the cuff. What I would change if I knit it again - Split for the sleeves sooner. The pattern has you knit quite a bit after the yoke colour work is done and I find it too deep. I think I have heard that this is a common thing with Caitlyn's designs. Oh belated Happy Birthday, we are the same age now!
Thank you for these tips Collette!!! I’ve been looking at the arm colourwork and thinking… hmmm. I like your idea about moving that down lower. And I do NOT like a low yoke, so thanks for that info!!! The colourwork has me unable to stop knitting on it.
@@theknittystew End of last year I only had one sleeve left to do but frogged it all because it was too oversized. I knit a sized 3 like my Zweig. After I split for sleeves I made a round of even decreases so the lower part of the sweater wasn't that oversized. I have a large bust compared to my body. I will send you a link to my project page on Raveley.
I just love you and your podcast Leanne you are such a talent and your projects are all so beautiful...that haircut suits you so much gorgeous lady.I just thought I'd mention a designer to you that you might enjoy...her name is Libby from Truly Myrtle in New Zealand I'm not sure if you are familiar with her or not..Libby is a truly talented designer whom also has the most inspiring podcast which is called The Truly Myrtle Podcast...many thanks for your time and gorgeous podcasts I can't get enough of I've been following you from the get go much love to you Leanne from Shiree in NZ xx❤
Thank you so much Shiree!! I have some time today so I think I will check out that podcast you recommended thank you
The sweater looks lovely. The colour really suits you. Happy belated birthday.
Happy Birthday Leanne. Your mushrooms are so cute. Your shawl is lovely. I love the footage of Moncton. Your hair looks awesome.
Thank you so much!
I love your podcasts. You just make me happy! And so special to show off our beautiful country….and your beautiful knitting!! Keep well!
Aww thank you Marlie!!
Your haircut is soooo youthful on you!! It just brightens and uplifts your pretty face! Great knitted projects too!!
Thank you Deb feels fresh!!!!
Thanks for another great episode. They're always timed perfectly for when I need a nice relaxing knit session 😊. The new hair looks great too.
As always, enjoy the walk around town. So nice being a virtual tourist from the other side of the world. ( New Zealand).
Another lovely podcast, Leanne, thanks! Fab new hair and stunning film of Moncton area. 🧶
Love the cardi (those cat buttons!!! 😻) and the shawl and the new projects...thanks again for taking us on your journeys, both touring and fibery.
Oh wow that was jam packed full of fun. Loved it, can't believe you've been doing this for 2 years, where has the time gone?! Loved it all and your art yarn is fabulous. Thanks for all the fun, I just smiled all the way through (as usual) Your hair is gorgeous, it also looked great long too so win-win. It's so lovely and shiny, I have short hair - because it's crap (confused: wavy, frizzy and annoying) plus I'm lazy (super lazy!!) and always in the pool, ocean, shower or bath. So I always admire beautiful hair and dream I still have long hair sometimes!! 🤣🤣 happy knitting, Karen 🥰
Thanks Karen! You absolutely ROCK the pixie cut BIGTIME ohh if I could pull that ‘do off I’d get extra sleep in the morning and easy styling!! Happy to have you here always!!
Love your new hairstyle! Beautiful projects.
Your haircut looks amazing! Beautiful projects and video!
Hi Leane, your hair are great! Can you tell me what are the colors you bought for your Lunenburg pullover please because I think I want one! Thank you! ❤
Hi Caroline! They coloured skeins were wound up and unlabelled partial skeins of Rowan felted tweed so sadly I don’t know the colour names. I will try and see if I can figure that out
@@theknittystewoh I understand, thank you so much for taking the time for respond. But for the dark yarn, the Estelle one, is it black or charcoal? Thanks a lot! 🙏🏻
There arent enough superlatives of love to say how much I enjoy your podcasts. Love that yarn store you showed in Moncton…feel a road trip coming on! That haircut was designed for you. Finished objects terrific. Take care in work and travels.
Heather you are the kindest!! Road trip to MONCTON BABY YAY!!
Leanne, congratulations on your 2 year anniversary. I love watching your podcast and listening to your adventures. Your new haircut is adorable. Thank you for bringing us a long on your travels of 🇨🇦 Canada. My favorite country to visit.
Love your new haircut, you’re looking great. The spring shawl landed definitely on the top of my to do list, thanks for that.
Leanne that color is STUNNING on you! And your haircut suits you so beautifully! Your excitement for your projects is so contagious and now I have at least 3 new ravelry tabs open on my computer 😂🥰
Thank you!! The enabling never ends on the podcasts!
You are lovely. Always enjoy your podcasts. Would love to meet you on a plane:). Will definitely try that magic shawl. Love the cardigan!
We are red twins with our 4008 and I was 51 on May 20! The colour looks lovely on you. I am knitting the Poppy Tee by Petite Knit at the moment with the Sunday and Mohair. Love all your WIPS and FOs. Very inspiring episode with the knitting and Moncton. Glad you had a wonderful birthday month. Thanks for sharing. x
Thanks Tash! Happy 51st!! It never fails to amaze me when I meet others with sooOo many parallels on opposite sides of the globe. It’s a wonderful feeling. You are heavily responsible for me FINALLY getting that Sunset Highway on my needles.
Your hair looks amazing Leanne! 😊
I love the Sunset Highway sweater - I've knitted it twice. I also knitted the Zweig sweater (3 times). If the Zweig fits you well, so will the Sunset Highway.
This is VERY encouraging! Thank you Sylvie!
Hi and happy birthday!!! I've looked up and read about the acadians - so interesting, thanks for that. Wonderful makes and wips, love the colours you choose. I've been wanting to get east for quite some time (I'm in Ontario), you represented the area so well. That board walk and that little town looks so inviting! Thanks for sharing, I always enjoy watching your videos ;) Sunshine
The red Cocktail Cardigan is literal perfection. You look so cool with your sassy new do and rocker tee! I love that you've made so many amazing connections in so many places!
Thanks Tracey! 💗💗 You are one of those TREASURED connections 💗💗
Thank you for your delightful sharing of knitting, BAM love, friendships, acquisitions and more! ❤
You made yarn!!!!! That is so awesome!!! It's gorgeous!!!
Just love your videos! I always look forward to seeing them. We moved to BC from the states almost 2 years ago now. So I love the combination of travel and knitting that your podcast has. Loved the mushrooms and the Magic Spring Shawl! I love the yarn you created; so beautiful! Thank you so much for sharing! Happy knitting!
Thank you for your message Melody! Where did you move from in the US?
I think its so sweet of you to knit a arm warmer for Mom #2.
I imagine her loving it...
Love the Magic Spring Shawl ...... I think you might like this pattern too, I've knit it with LIchen & Lace. "May I Borrow This Please" by Lorraine Waitman, free pattern on Ravelry. Your Cocktail cardi is gorgeous, I also enjoy knitting an attached button band.
Love your hair - very attractive ❤. You’ve made so many lovely things. I’m so impressed by your skill level. Also, I’m so afraid of flying and you do it so regularly! I wish I had your courage. Thank you for sharing your time and energy with us - it’s a blessing for me. I liked seeing Muncton, so beautiful. I just saw Nancy on Sweet Skein of Mine, another Canadian podcaster. You help make life so interesting.
Great haircut! Glad to hear your BAM was great.
Love all your FO's ... a big fan of red. I just received a trio of socks kits from Ancient Arts. I've been curious about the nettle yarns so many thanks for the review.
In the middle of my first frogging project redo - colourwork mittens, hat and partial cowl. None of them fit, so I frogged them all, washed the yarn and restarted the mittens. They have polar bears on them - perfect for visiting the Assiniboine Park Zoo bears in Winnipeg winters. Midway thru the cowl but finishing up a headband first so I have enough yarn. Small projects are wonderful right now.
For some unknown reason, I don't mind knitting cotton. I finished up 2 summer tops in Berroco Pima 100 and have another 1 planned.
Cheers from the middle of the country.
It's so good to see you again! All you FOs look amazing. I was wondering if the collar on your WIP was even all the way around. It looked uneven to me, but that could have either been the pattern or just how it looked on the needles. I really liked the colors you picked for your sweater yoke birthday present. I know it will be beautiful! Your new hairstyle looks stylish and chic for summer. As always, I get so excited when I see your new videos available! How exciting to visit with Nancy! I'm an avid follower of hers as well. ❤🧶❤️🧶❤️
Beautiful projects and episode as always! ❤
The 3D Shawl might have been „Brickless“ by Martina Behm. This one has eyelets and ribbing.
Love from Germany
I am currently knitting the India Print Henley by Ann Budd from her book Top-Down Sweaters. The raglans are a bit confusing for me as I've always knitted them bottom up. I am looking into my stash to knit the Magic shawl. I love yours.
Great podcast! Love, love your hair!! Very cute…..😊 I’m into light shawls right now too. Definitely will check that pattern out. I live in the desert and with all the air conditioning the light weight shawls are the just right cover-up while shopping and dinning out. Thanks for the inspiration and wonderful knits❣️🧶
Could you seriously be any cuter with your new hair!! Love that little shawl! And the Cardigan...ummmm add to cart!! 😁
Aw you’re so sweet!
@@theknittystew 🥰
I just found your channel. Loved the cardigan, mushrooms and especially the scarf... delightful.
I lived in Calgary for a lot of years. My husband was in the oil patch.
I will continue to watch going forward.
Wow! The hand spun yarn is amazing! Very talented! Beautiful projects. I love spring/summer scarves!
I just started the pressed flower shawl, and had my eye on the Sophie scarf, but maybe I will knit the Party scarf instead. Beautiful funished objects, and feel the same way about cotton, just funished the ripple bralette and, did not like working with cotton. I'm a maritimer living in Montreal, so loved your footage
Lovely episode. It's always nice to get a "grooming" Love your knits. I feel the same about summer fiber. Just isn't fun for me. Thank you again . Moncton is great!
I have given cotton a try many times and, I just can't seem to like the fabric it creates. So if you don't like it no worries. Love your podcast a beautiful footage of NB. Hope one day to visit the east coast. Hugs from Vancouver.
Just love watching your podcast…I added that beautiful spring shawl to my must knit list! Happy belated birthday to you 🎉
Great episode. For summer tees I’ve used the Little soft nettle by Ancient Arts. It’s lovely to wear on all but the very hottest summer day. I live in Golden BC so really want to get to the Calgary knit city.
❤ your new hair! Looks great!excited to see Chocolate River yarns as I have ordered there a few times, and had nice chats with the owner, it might inspire me to save up and make a big order! Looking forward!
Try silk /wool. I ❤️ malabrigo silky merino. And manage the flotes with jacquard
Leanne another wonderful video! Love your champagne cardigan after watching your last video I cast on the champagne cardigan as well what a wonderful pattern. I knit mine in grey but after seeing yours finished I might need to cast on a red one as well!
Working on my second Lunenburg…it’s one of my all time favourites. Love your 💇♀️
Love the new “do”! I’m excited to try the Magic Spring mini , it’s beautiful.
CO the shawl thanks for the inspiration. Not feeling like knitting big so socks & a shawl perfect 👌. Thanks for tip out too 🙏🏻🧶
love your hair! if you ever end up in Fredericton please reach out - great episode!
Hi ! I'm so glad you came to Moncton, NB. I live in the North-East region and I wish you'll come back to visit us. I love your podcasts and I have been looking forward to watch each episode with enthusiasm. Thank you for sharing your knitting projects. bye for now. Bonita
Thank you Bonita!!
Thank you Leanne! I love that poppy cardigan!! Nice job!👏🏽👏🏽
I love seeing the places you go. I'm working on socks and starting an Audrey sweater.
Your hair looks fabulous! 💇🏻♀️ Your projects look amazing as always. 🧶 My EEW Nano is still in timeout. I really enjoyed your Moncton footage. I knit on my Tolsta Tee while watching. 🤩
Thank you friend!! Our poor dusty EEW Nanos!! LOL
Me again- lol… happy belated bday!! Sounds like you were surrounded by love and appreciation which is most awesome!. I currently want to knit all the things so have cast on 3 new sweaters (and am contemplating a 4th), one shawl, and a pair of socks… oh… yea… and then there might be a one skein shawl cast on in the very ( tomorrow) near future…. Any guess why?😂😂. Happy Stewing and knitting my friend🥰
Love all your makes Linda!! Jealous of your trip to Flock ohh so exciting!! You will all look incredible in your Dotted Rays!!
Dear Leanne, I absolutely LOVE your cocktail cardi!! I am so sorry I was such a terrible KAL partner :D I could never decide on a color and then I got distracted.... it's still on my to do list though especially after seeing yours! I loved all your projects as always! the mushrooms are so cute and i am planning to embrace the gnome life? I need to dust off my spinner as well and your handspun looks gorgeous. It was so fun to see you, Nancy and Sophie together :)
Gnome life (and cat life) seems to have chosen both of us Megha!! ❤️❤️
Love your haircut and your finished objects! Sabine from Germany
Thanks for watching Sabine! 🩷
Love your new hair style! Your handspun yarn is lovely 🥰. It’s hardly “art yarn “
Your cardigan turned out amazing!!! I need to cast mine on. Also, I cut my hair, too. I saw your adorable cut and Marlene Knits cute bangs and I thought what a great idea! Turns out not so much. 😂 Why are my bangs so dumb?!😂 Yours are adorable. Please stage an intervention if I ever think about bangs again.
Becky I had a friend stage an intervention when I tried to grow OUT my bangs a few years back. He is a very good friend indeed, he said “ I see what you’re trying to do here Leanne, but you need the fringe.. bring 👏🏼 back 👏🏼 the 👏🏼 bangs”
I didn't realize that Nancy is Canadian. Beautiful views.
Excellent haircut and excellent Motley Crue/cardigan combo! ❤
❤ Leanne!!!!enjoyed that so much 🎉🎉
So fun with you !! Nancy snd Sophie!!! Love u all!!!!

Congrwts to winners
You're the best!
I love your haircut! And I love your podcast!!! ❤️
Love your poppy cocktail cardigan. It fits great!
The haircut looks great! I love that shoulder detail and the button band on your cardigan - so sleek!!! definitely adding to my ravelry favourites.
Love the haircut too. One of the originals who of course watches the whole podcast. Love your making and your making adventures.
You rock Sunny!!
Another lovely podcast - thank you. The hair is great too!
Love your podcasts! I downloaded the shawl pattern and look forward to knitting this. I have saved your podcast to add to my Maritimes vacation file on UA-cam fir planning my vacation next year.
Yay, thank you so much. I have new Maritime episode coming out this week on PEI and oh my goodness that place is such a dream - you won’t want to miss visiting there. :)
Love your shawl, its beautiful. You'll get a kick out of knitting the gnomes. Thanks for the tour of Monkton. Hugs
Lovely episode as always 😊 the Cocktail Cardigan in Poppy color is stunning in you. I did mine in electric Blue and I might need a second one. I said the same about the next one, I would do a provisional CO, however, a friend pointed out that the ribbing might not lined up 🧐 I will also do the double knit stitch on the ribbing for a tighter button band. 🤷♀️
Thank you for sharing historical knowledge on Moncton. Cheers
Oh that’s great information to consider Manon!! Your electric blue Cocktail is so good 👌🏼
Try Knitting for Olive cotton merino. It feels like wool.
I too..love your podcast..AND...love your hair do..
Hi Leanne. I am a first-time watcher/subscriber (I know, I’m a bit late to the party) and I came over after hearing about you from Nancy (Knit, Sip, Happy). I watch from California where I’m retired after teaching/living in California, Oregon, and the Middle East for the last 50 years. I knit every day - mostly socks to give away to others - and thoroughly enjoyed watching your episode. I see you have another episode up so I’m going to watch that straight away. Until then. Salam wa sa’aadah
That was so nice of Nancy to send you my way. You are so very welcome here 👋🏼
Beautiful cardigan...and haircut looks awesome...almost finished bingewatching yr fabulous podcasts...freezing/ raining/ windy here in taranaki in NZ. Grt knitting weather... curled up with baby blanket..basket stitch...im gunna buy that cardigan pattern... your content is perfect for me to knit to.❤😊😊
Yay, thank you Cathy!!!
Thank you Leanne for the lovely podcast! You have been so productive 🙌… the Poppy red looks marvellous on you! The Magic Shawl was already in my library 😆 who knew? I just went to search it and it said "in library" I like those little shawls too….too big and they are like a blanket!
I have a lot of Caitlyn Hunter patterns in my queue, I love them! I am looking at Misurina next yay! Your Sunset Highway will be great!
I am currently knitting Nila by Moonstruck, Luminos Tee, and have just cast on The Traveller Shell by DreaKnits…. Still have one sleeve to finish on Lumme by Sari Norlund and 2 cuffs on Alpine Bloom short sleeves.
Many happy knitting hours to you my dear friend… love and hugs xxx 🥰
Elaine you have so many incredible projects on the go!!! Wow
WOW! LOVED this episode for a ton of reasons - I have visited Bouctouche (once in 2022); I watch Nancy's podcast too to name a few. When we were in Bouctouche I did get to visit the now closed La Violette....such a wonderful shop!! I LOVE your new hair!!! It looks lovely!!!! AND the knitting! I, too, struggle with Saona yarn - I did knit a Sophie scarf with color 1985 and I have enough yarn left to make another one - or a cotton cloth for faces or dishes. I think it is soft enough. I have tried different needles besides my favorite ChiaGoo (metal). It doesn't matter, bamboo or wood just not loving knitting with it and perhaps the cotton just doesn't allow it to stretch enough like 100% wool or a wool & other protein fiber blend. And so it goes....I was thrilled to find this episode - stay safe and well. I am so thankful for your desire to share your life and shenanigans! Congratulations on another trip around the sun!!! ✈🌤🧶
Thank you 😊 for your message Barbara!
No stumbling across you! I look forward to your podcast and watch carefully for each one. Cute hair cut! Everyone loves a “busy little knitter”! ❤ Your poppy sweater is fabulous! Love it! What a lovely gift for your mother in law! I’ll be making the cute Magic Spring Shawl too! You’ve styled it perfectly! Happy Birthday Anniversary!
Thank Margaret!
Another wonderful podcast! Thank you.✨ Belated happy BAM. Love your new hairstyle, red cardigan (such a happy colour) and the scarf is fabulous with it. I’m knitting the Islesburgh Toorie while I watch - I may never travel to Shetland for Wool Week but can celebrate my maternal heritage by knitting the SWW hat patterns.
💓💓
Leanne, I missed the past couple of episodes, I'll catch up soon. I am a teacher so 1 full week and then 1 1/2 days left....I love all your finished projects! I also have a kit for that sweater....too tired to look up the spelling.....
Hope you get to enjoy some downtime and relaxing days of summer now that school is winding down 💓
This is my first visit to your blog, and it happened to be about the area where I live 😊 Next time you come to Moncton, you will have to find a way to Loopy Wool in Salisbury (about 1/2 hr drive from downtown Moncton). It's brand new and is a lovely shop, too. Its focus is more on rug hooking, but her supply of yarn is beautiful as well, and she even dyes wool in-house. It was neat to see Moncton and area through your eyes.
Hi Johanna! Thanks for checking out the Channel. I took note of Loopy Wool thanks for the info!
Always a joy to spend time knitting with you but the armchair traveling I experience while knitting is magical … and now you have inspired me to knit the Magic Spring Shawl so I can be a 3Delta on my upcoming trip to Porto, Portugal in three weeks 😅 🤩
We all should aspire to be 3Delta 😂 Have a great trip!!&
I love your hair! And your handspun is gorgeous! ❤
When I was in Calgary and visited Ancient Arts Yarn the dyer/owner said that the nettle blend is a cooling yarn. She said when you knit with it in summer you can feel the difference of it compared to 100% wool and I agree. I bought some and made a Ranunculus with it!
Oh my gosh that’s genius! The answer to my summer knitting woes was under my nose!!
Thank you for another enjoyable podcast! I’m always excited when the notification shows up. Belated birthday greetings, you deserve to be spoiled. Your knits are stunning. I will watch for you at Knit City Calgary. A friend and I are travelling to be there. Love your new hairdo too! Terry, near Kamloops 😊
Awesome Terry!!
BAM! Love it. I also turned 51 on May 12th. Our anniversary falls in June though. Lovely podcast as always. Coming to you from outside Halifax.
Hi Brigette!! Fellow Taurus ♉️!!
