When you said, "I gave up one thing to have everything," it touched my heart! I wish you safe travels always!
I shed a tear after she made that comment
No kidding!!
Leanne, you touched many people's hearts with your comment. We, your audience, are so lucky to have you in our lives.
Thank you Jackie! Honestly this community is like a GIANT hug 🤗! I have only ever had 2 comments in almost a year that have kinda hurt my feels, but WAAAAAAAY more kind ones like this. I sincerely appreciate you being here and part of it! 🤗
You stopped me in my tracks when you said: I only had to give up one thing to have everything. Dear Leane, I can’t imagine anyone one of us who didn’t need to hear this. Congratulations to you on your 10 years of sobriety. You’re an inspiration and deserve all the yarn that makes your heart sing. There are so many things I can imagine making with that one skein of gorgeous Fog City: a one-skein shawl, colorwork cowl (brioche or stranded), or as part of a fade for a larger project. Thank you❤️
Esther! Thank you so much and for being here! I appreciate you! Good luck on the Foggy City Draw! 🤗
This was my third Knitty Stew episode. I've been so humbled by your kind heart and endless gratitude. What a beautiful gift you are!! Congratulations on your 10 year sobriety anniversary! Thanks for your courage and transparency to share that part of your life with us. I also really appreciate how you honor the indigenous peoples. The knitting and footage of Canada are also pretty amazing as well. Blessings to you and your family.
Hi Camille 👋🏼 Welcome aboard! I really appreciate you being here and your kind messages 🤗
Congratulations on 10 years and grateful for your transparency and care - love your podcast 💖
Congratulations on 10 years sober af! My mom was an alcoholic who never managed to stay sober for more than a couple years at a time. To say it affected her relationship with her kids is an understatement. Sobriety is a gift you give both to yourself and all the people who surround your life. Well done!
As you spoke about the Joji KAL I started to ponder casting on a Hipster shawl - I've been meaning to make one for years and that skein would be perfect. 💕
Alison thank you for your message. My mom was too and the ripple effect is deep. I am soooo flipping thankful that I stopped when my kids were 8 & 10 Yrs old because I know how I felt about my mom by the time I was their age now (19 & 21). 😞
And heck yes and Hipster shawl would rock!
You were meant to do this~ not only for the fiber goodness…. This one episode alone could change lives. I would make a Pipers Journey shawl if chosen, still one of my favorites that I have knit many times.
Thank you so much Karyol 🥰 I do hope to make a difference in this world where many feel alone and scared, and just go through the days putting on a face and just pretend to be ok. Alcohol had that affect on me, but calling it out of secrecy kicked that bully to the curb.
That shawl is a classic and sooo pretty! Good luck in the draw!
So glad I found your poscast. Congratulations on 10 years, well done. I’d use the yarn to knit a Broken Wings shawl by Joji Locatelli
Congratulations on you decade sober AF! Alcoholism is in my immediate family and it ruins so much. You’re a tough cookie to put it out there but it’s a wonderful thing to do. The yarn you are giving away is gorgeous! If I was to win I’d put it in the Sutton Shawlette, knit and crochet. It looks like fun. Also, congratulations on the success of your podcast! 🎉🎉🎉
Omgosh Leanne! I can relate! I splurge on fiber related things and always tell myself that it's better than alcohol or drugs. I grew up with an alcoholic stepfather and know how it can affect family. Hugs and high five on your sobriety journey. We all have our own struggles... my fiber community lifts me up.
Congratulations on 10 years! You’re truly an inspiration. I wish you all the best! The yarn would make an adorable Musselburgh hat. Safe travels and yarn adventures!
Congratulations on reaching your monumental mile stone. Thank you for sharing, and leading the way to help others find their path.
Many congratulations on your sobriety anniversary, huge achievement and great that you celebrate every year!!! Bravo! 👏👏👏
Wow wow!! 10 years!! Well done (which doesn't come close to expressing how great that is).
Well, you are clearly on the right path my girl, and life is treating you well in return. Your glorious green shawl is evidence of all your hard work. Beautiful !!!
I loved when you said, “I gave up one thing to have everything!” This is very powerful and Wow! Awesome, Girl! If I win the skein of yarn, I would use it to make the pattern in a yoke sweater with the main color in dark navy! Love your vibe of down to earth and real and your kindness. ❤️🐑❤️🐑❤️
Congratulations on 10 years sobriety, that must feel so empowering. Love your channel. Thank you for knitting wholeness.
so glad you made it out to Belfast and to spend time with Fleece & HARMONY!!!!
OMG. How lucky to get to Fleece and Harmony! They are among my favourite imaginary friends.
Haha I love that, and I can attest that they are just the nicest folks!
Knitting is what helped me leave alcohol behind, what a blessing! Thanks for sharing your knitting and life with us.
Yay!! Knitting is SUCH an amazing gift. Reading that is very inspiring.
Your time is a real gift. Thank you! Very sweet of Tonya. What an an awesome person! That is amazing about all you have accomplished. Definitely always worth celebrating. Safe travels. Love your projects! - All the best, kimberly
Knitting is a healthy addiction. Congratulations on your sobriety! You are amazing. I am so inspired by your channel! ❤️❤️
Bonjour Liliane, it's always a great pleasure to sit and craft in your compagny. Thank's to share your personel life difficulties in such a positive way.
Thank you for sharing your journey. It's important to celebrate our wins. The yarn is beautiful, I would make socks.
Congratulations on your sobriety and happy birthdays!! Thank you for your generosity!
That yarn would make a beautiful Musselburgh Hat. Congratulations on 10 year's.
Congratulations on 10 years!! That’s so inspiring. My husband gave up drinking 26 years ago and we still celebrate it every year. We call it his second birthday. He too says he knows he wouldn’t have any of the things he has today, including his family, if he hadn’t. It’s not easy even after all these years, and I’m so proud of him. I’ve only been to the Maritimes once, but I still say it’s my favourite place I’ve ever been. It’s so gorgeous!! I wish I had known about Fleece & Harmony when I was in Charlottetown. I definitely would have done some damage there. ;). The skein of yarn you’re giving away is stunning! If there’s nylon in it I’d love to make socks, but if not, I love someone elses’s idea of a hat holding it with mohair. I was in your neck of the woods last weekend and did some damage at Stash Lounge. It wasn’t my first time there, but it never disappoints!! Thank you for always brightening my day with your podcasts.
Thanks for this message Vicky! Congrats on 26 years - a day at a time! Oh yes I am very familiar with STASH lounge. When I worked there I just signed my cheque over to cover my yarn layaways 😆
Happy Birthdays. Sobriety is a great achievement. I wish all happiness for you.
A knitting podcast isn’t supposed to make me cry! Your openness regarding your journey and your gratitude and gentleness is truly inspiring. I would make a lovely cowl. The colors would make me happy every time I would wear it. Thanks again for an enjoyable podcast.
Aw Diane thank you. (I edited out my tears). Life is quite a journey and I am lucky to have knitting and this fibre community to journey with. Appreciate you being here!
Congratulations on your 10 years of sobriety. Thank you for offering a giveaway. I would knit the Islandwood Cowl by Molly Kent with Foggy City held double. Thank you Windswept Fiber.
As always a wonderful episode! Those colors fit my little girl perfectly so I would use it in a little cardigan for her. Amazing job on the 10 years!!!
The Wind Swept Wonder would make a beautiful Hitchhiker shawl. It is always a joy visiting with you and seeing all that Canada has to offer in beauty. Your sharing is so appreciated.
Have watched every episode of Fleece and Harmony. Loved that you connected with them. So enjoy your including the history about where you are visiting along with your knitting. You are a treat.
Thank you for sharing about your second birthday and congratulations on 10 years.
P.E.I is a magical place and I so enjoyed the aerial footage at the end. Take good care.
I would make socks or a shawl with this lovely yarn! Congratulations on 10 years!
I couldn't click fast enough!! I've been wanting to visit PEI for the longest. Thanka for bringing us along.
What a joy to share my early morning knitting time with you. Thank you.
Thank you for sharing your travels with us viewers! I enjoy your podcasts. If I were to make something with the beautiful yarn you showed it would be socks. Huge congratulations on being sober. You are amazing!!!
Congrats for your 10th anniversary! So glad you can be your true self with yarn! If I won your lovely yarn I would make some amazing socks!
Loved this entire video! Thanks for keeping it real, Leanne. I love the hospitality you received. All your footage was wonderful! ❤🧶❤️
Thank you so much for watching through my videos, it’s been quite a journey of podcasting and learning so much!! The one thing that has stayed constant is the kindness of this UA-cam community!
I love your plan to pay forward the kindness shown to you. I’d either knit the lightweight hipster shawl with that skein or a pair of socks!
Congratulations on 5K and 10 yrs. Very exciting. Thanks for the inspirations.
Amazing podcast. And thrilled that you got to visit Fleece and Harmony an Belfast mini mill. It’s the only place on my bucket list to visit PEI. THANK YOU for being you
Your pride on 10 years sober was felt through the screen. Congratulations Leanne. You gave yourself a wonderful gift.
I wouls use the skein for a shawl such as the Hipster Shawl.
💗
I’m so glad you met up with such lovely people. Very generous giveaway! I would probably knit socks or a brioche hat with that beautiful skein 😊
Congratulations on being sober fir q10 years.
I love your videos! The scenery of your stops and the visits to the yarn stores. Just awesome.
As for the multi coloured skein of yarn.....a little baby jumper for one of the 2 grand babies we are expecting.
Your podcasts are such a joy! I look forward to each one and PEI did not disappoint! My favorite thing about your podcast is traveling with you. I love learning about the area and seeing videos and photographs of the places you are visiting. Incorporating a map is wonderful as I always look up places that I see or read about. I'm also in awe of how amazing people can be to each other and show such kindness and love to one another. Congratulations on your growing channel and, of course, on celebrating a DECADE of sobriety. You are so kind to send support and encouragement to others that are struggling and are definitely paying it forward in a much bigger way than you may realize. Bless you and safe travels! Musselburgh hat was my first thought for that beautiful yarn!
Maria this message touched my heart ♥️ Thank you so mufhb (lol… that was supposed to be ‘much’)
Congratulations on being sober for so long. Not an easy journey I know so I really admire you. Xxx
Congratulations on your 10 years sobriety. That really touched my heart and I'm so happy for you! I think gratitude is a superpower and you have that in spades. I wish you all the best. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful mind and soul along with your incredibly beautiful projects and travel footage with us. I love your knitty podcast and find you yourself so inspiring as well. Safe travels!
Catriona this message made my day! Thank you so much. I had no idea I would meet SO MANY lovely folks like yourself as a result of this podcast. Bless your knitted socks off!!!
So exciting seeing your tour of Fleece and Harmony. With that lovely skein I would love to knit a “May I borrow This Please” shawl and then gift it to a friend as a surprise.
First, congratulations on your 10 years sober. I don't have a very positive relation with alcohol, not because of addiction but because of negative family stuff, and I feel like so many people are still not (or don't wanna be) aware of its potential dark side. Seriously, it must be hard to choose to give it up and also to keep walking that path. There are so many sources of temptations related to alcohol in our society.
For the giveaway, I would definitely knit beautiful socks. I love knitting socks in all the colors!
Congratulations on your 10th anniversary!! Good for you! It’s very personal for me too ❤️ thank you for sharing
"I gave up one thing to have everything" gave me goosebumps, congratulations! The pretty giveaway yarn would be knit up into a Musselburgh Hat or a one skein shawl. Thank you for your wonderful podcast - it's always a good day when I see a notification that you're back for another knitty chat.
congratulations on 10 years of sobriety, you rock!
I love that colour for a sweater for my granddaughter, she loves anything that resembles a rainbow 🌈 thanks Susan
Many, many blessings on your 10th anniversary!! I would definitely make a one skein shawl to match my light blue winter coat with that yummy ball of yarn. It would add Spring to my Winter wardrobe. Oh man, me & you and copious amounts of coffee, and sock knitting!! When you're ready, I'll drive up from the Hat for the day. The fun we could have!! You'll have to drive down to the Hat one day and we'll take my car down to Montana to see The Farmer's Daughter shop. She said she knows the Hat well and spent time here as a kid.
Roadtriiiiiip!!! Yes 🙌🏼
Congratulations on 10 years! PEI looks gorgeous. I'm picturing the Foggy City as a contrast colour in socks.
Congrats on your 10 year anniversary- it can and did change your life for the better!
Thanking for another very enjoyable podcast. Love the videos you added, especially your trip to Fleece and Harmony. Take care til next time.
Hi Leanne, nice to see you again and another beautiful place that you are visiting, not to mention all of the beautiful objects you have knit. I think you have inspired me to knit the Kiiruna in the future, perhaps with Lichen and Lace Rustic Sport. I also love the leaf coasters in Brooklyn Tweed Shelter. I think I might have to knit some of those too. Congratulations on your 10 years of doing life sober! When you talked about it, it brought a tear to my eye! Thanks again for another lovely episode! 💞💕 Take Care and Keep on Knitting!
You are my new favorite podcaster, love your knitting style and especially being a part of your travels! I’d make some vanilla socks with the lovely yarn. ❤️
10 years is a great accomplishment and your sunny disposition tells it all. Congratulations! Thank you for your openness. I loved the way you said that all you had to do is give up one thing to have everything. So true about many things. If I won the "foggy" skein of yarn I would make a shawl/scarf with it. ♥
Love watching your podcasts. I always try to visit fleece and harmony and the Belfast mini mills whenever I visit PEI, love them.
Happy Birthday! On both counts! Totally enjoyed the podcast, you met some fantastic people and got to visit some amazing sites. Thank you for sharing!

Dearest Leanne, Thank you so much for another wonderful video! I finally had time to catch up on this one :) One of my bucketlist items is to drive all the way to PEI and visit Fleece & Harmony. I absolutely loved your snippets of the farm and all your projects are lovely! I especially loved the green shawl , so beautiful! Congratulations on 10 yrs sober! That is a wonderful achievement and you definitely deserve all the yarn :)
Thank you Megha!! I love your love affair with green lately!! If you come up to Canada for the Fibrefestival (when a hurricane doesn’t arrive) your money will go far… bring an extra suitcase for suuure.
Thanks so much for the mention :) I have been wanting to make the journey to PEI to check out the mills there for ages, what a lovely and serendipitous journey you got to have! Fleece and Harmony yarns are so stunning I could cry, and they have the most lovely colours. I just watched your St. John's podcast as well, it was so lovely to see! And that Briggs and Little shawl!! So cozy. Please feel welcome to reach out next time you stop over in Newfoundland if you would like a wooly pal for adventures :)
Congratulations on 10 years of being sober! You are so close to 5K which is a testament to your awesome podcasts. I recently sent my son on a flight to Montreal and I was much calmer just knowing that there are people like you in the air. I think the lovely skein you are giving away would make lovely fingerless gloves.
Yessss that makes me so happy to hear! Also fingerless gloves are one of my favourite things!
I really enjoyed this episode. Makes me want to travel north! The Pac-Man looked cute.
That yarn screams out shawl to me. Lovely podcast. Keep up the great work.

You are so welcome 🤗! I appreciate the content you create so very much. For the past 9 years the wisdom of Wayne Dyer has kept me moving forward and peaceful.
@@theknittystew That's great to hear 🙏🏻 I agree, Wayne's teachings are very applicable to our everyday life and are truly helpful for our awakening path :)
Congratulations on your sobriety anniversary, life brings us many challenges and finding joy in life is what we all need. I love watching your podcasts, I love to travel and always enjoy watching new places you travel to. Next month I am celebrating 5 years cancer free and knitting has really help me recover physically and mentally. Happy knitting and looking forward to all your new travels, FO, WIPS and new yarn treasures.
Catherine a sincere and heartfelt congratulations on 5 years cancer free. I feel that the challenges and dark times make the less-challenging, and brighter days all the more sweet. And through it all KNITTING is here for us 🫶🏼
Such a delightful podcast. I loved it so much, and your projects are stunning. Your openness and words are compelling and elevate our world. Thank you. Happy knitting and safe travels.

Congratulations on 10 years and 5k! I’m not sure what I would make with the yarn but anything would be beautiful!
The biggest congratulations on your 10th anniversary. That is so amazing and so proud of you. I think that yarn would look lovely in a cowl. I so enjoy your podcasts.
I'm loving binging your podcast. You are getting more and more comfortable in front of the camera as I watch. And your story is an inspiration. Love Love Love PEI! And my two favourite yarn stores! I always come away with a huge stash enhancement. Luckily, The Handsome Huband doesn't mind because he is generally the beneficiary. Keep flying - on planes and in life.
Wow, thank you Esther! Happy everything to you!
Hello from YYZ, thanks for taking us on your visit to Fleece and Harmony and other PEI sites. I thoroughly enjoy your podcasts.
Thank you Leanne for another wonderful podcast. Wonderful for you on your sobriety. Love the travels to different yarn shops/mills. It makes me so happy to watch your you tube channel. I would knit a hat with the windswept yarn. It's beautiful. Safe travels ❤❤
Thank you for another great video! I'm living vicariously through you as I recover from open heart surgery. Latest update is that today is my 7th day home - surgery was on Aug 15. I'm truly amazed and thankful at the progress so far! For your yarn giveaway, that is so nice of you. I would like to make a shawl for one of the Nurses who went above and beyond while I was in the hospital. Love the yarn color. Please know that I look forward to your videos. You are such a wonderful person! So open, honest and down to earth. Great work on your projects and love your acquisitions! Congrats on your 10 year anniversary! Take care and safe travels. Kris K from Connecticut USA 🧶🌻🌞
Congratulations on your anniversary. Truly a priceless gift to give your family, your friends, and yourself. I also admire your honestly/transparency; I know that helps others who are struggling.
As far as that lovely skein goes, I would definitely use it in a stockinette pattern to show off the speckles either in a one-skein shawl or as part of a sweater. Thank you for your generosity and “paying it forward” to whomever receives the gift.
I love to listen to all knitting podcasters and love ❤️ your videos they are lovely
Congratulations and happy 10th birthday, what a great accomplishment! I say buy ALL the yarn, its a healthy hobby! Its how I justify my hobby. Beautify yarn, I would knit a Musselburgh hat with it:)
Always such a pleasure to watch and see where you are in lovely Canada. From England but love love love Canada xx
How nice to pay it forward with your gift-away! I would knit the new one skein shawl by Joji in that beautiful yarn! Thanks for sharing your love and joy of knitting!
I so enjoy your podcast for many reasons. I of course love your knitting journey as well as visiting beautiful towns and knitting shops throughout Canada. I love hearing little historical facts of these towns as well. Congratulations on your 10 years of sobriety. I feel like kindred spirits, I have 4 years and really resonated with your saying about giving one thing up to have everything. So beautifully said!
Aww this is so nice to read Susan… kindred spirits indeed. Let’s keep walking this path one day at a time!
Bless you & congratulations on your milestone/'birthday.' You deserve every one of your yarn acquisitions & more! You are truly a very special shining star in the knitting world! Love watching your podcasts!
