Beach p is for pitch tones. You can make it deeper by lowering the reactivity. Or if you like the beach sensitive, you could always put pitch tones on the beach sensative
What he was saying and I have found it to be true Beach P is more stable in the salt water for the most part without turning the sensitivity down.

First thing to look at with a hoop earring is the piece that goes through the ear. If the item is gold that piece will also be gold and usually has the k stamp on it.

Scoop looks nice but you might want to add a small jewelry catcher through the entire midsection and or the entire bottom and the back for the people that are water hunting. The have to rinse the sand in the water and small earrings fall through the holes. Just a thought! Love your videos !

People!….. you can also have awesome days hunting. But you have to put the time in! Not everyday is a 5 ring day but you know that! The more time you spend learning your beach and machine the better you will do! Go slow and you will find things. Also as he showed some targets will only ring up one way! Gridding and overlapping is key to a beach hunt.

Beach P is my go to but I figured out how to get beach sensitive to work in the water so now that is my go to.

From my experience, gold earrings will have a gold post. The one you found does not have a gold stem. I may be wrong...

Merrill I'm glad you are using your Deus II. I got mine a while back and when you first got yours it didn't seem like you were using it. That ment I had to figure out how to use mine all by myself 😂. Well I figured it out, and with The Hunter GT's help (he programmed mine for me) with a custom program, I absolutely love the Deus II. I am blown away with how many silver coins I am finding going back to places I've hunted before with my NOX 800. I can't believe I have not seen this video before, I clicked on 799 likes and became your 800 like😁. Well I've been in Mexico for 18 days. I know it's beach season, but I'm looking forward to you getting to know your Deus II in the parks and see if the same thing happens to you, finding silver coins in places you've hunted before. 30:01 is the plate that goes on a door to hold the door knob in place? Merrill, I have to say, of all the metal detecting videos I watch, yours are, by far, THE BEST. Thank you Merrill.
Great day but the best find was a beach with no people in the summer. Who called in the missile strike? That’s awesome
the difference between beach p and beach sens is 24khz max vs 40kz max respectively. i think you'll find if you match the other settings (sens, salt sens, recovery, audio tones) then you will see that beach p does go deeper. however it will struggle on small gold.
I'd go with 1900s doorknob escutcheon for that brass piece.

Me too , I think its the best investment ever, my Deus 2. I was watching an advertisment for an electric bike that cost $1,599.00. I'm thinking, I would never pay that kind of money for a bike, then I remembered thats what I paid for my detector. I'm finding silver coins where I hunted before with my NOX 800, lots of them. I just mailed my Deus II in to get fixed. My coil will not take a charge? I was hunting in the woods and I lost my coil cover. I went back and still couldn't find it. Never had that happen before or ever heard of it happning. I got a new coil cover and I still can't charge. Oh well, my back-up is the NOX 800. Happy hunting

Known A studied waves per second from the surf report
and the size and direction of the waves, high & low tides etc.. Looks like 2-3 ft. 7s. 7s means a wave every seven seconds
and 2-3 ft. means the size of the waves measured from the backside.
585 = 14 krt gold.. Nice finds buddy! 👍

Easy test to verify if possibly gold. Take a razor blade and cut it. You can tell real quick what the base metal is and if you need to test it. I went through my old finds i gave my kids 4 yrs ago over the winter and there were 3 gold and one silver. They were tarnished and looked like junk. I cut it and sure enough, I was $150 lighter cause i had to buy it of them. 😁

Great Beach.My beach surf line is much smaller.I went 7/17 came up with 2 smaller children's rings.Seems many adults are not getting in the water.( By visual observation) There are larger more crowded beaches in NJ but honestly,more driving,more gas money,more detectors.🤔So i ask myself stick it out ( i can only go once a week) or look for more detected areas.You do get good wave action (surfers in area).What i notice as opposed to the late fall ,winter is a South,SW wind most of the time.So NJ beach area it's coming from the right,rear as opposed to a NE wind straight into the beachfront.Sorry for rambling,i been doing some parks during the other days still trying to get a grip on distinguishing and separating those trash/ gold signals,#'s on the Nox....By the way how is your friend Johnny? Nox....

That looks like a Sapphire to me and I think the ring is 3.5 Metric of pure Gold and a winner. Looks like the Calabash Digger might be right, the Deus @ is the King of the beach.

Congrats Merrill great hunt. Just curious how the honey badger does in the bay type material?
For bays, we built it to withstand rocks that could be at the bottom. And it has the jewelry catcher for small items. Bays usually have less waves and you have to go in the water of the swim areas.

@@MetalDetectingNYC Yeah!.... Sanibel looks nice and all but, seldom gives up it's booty, especially in multiples!.....It's to flat there! Storms definitely help play a roll for that location......Captiva is a little better & usually has a nice slope in comparison to that of Sanibel.
them real light signals you think is meneral will be very deep targets how i dig them axes 3 feet deep as you get closer it will start banging signals.i never tried a beach it too far away from me

That gold ring you couldn't figure out is a European stamp and it should be 585 which is 14k.

You might run into issues with the name “honey badger”. There is a “wax/THC/vape” product that is well established. Honey badger, nectar collector, a couple others. Fyi.

I know I could google this but since you're an expert, what do you need to metal detect at the beach? I mean what kind of permit? Would rockaway beach be a good place to start? I have no detector yet btw lol. Just trying to figure things out.
New York City has a free permit that you can download online and mail in. Rockaway is fine. All beaches are fine as long as there are people dropping stuff

For me to travel to a beach would be a several hour drive and a proper detector even before gas. Not cheap. And if I had Taco Bell I'd have gas for the trip back. Did you say adults or Adele? Oh adults.......

Speaking of honey badger scoop, how’s that going?
It’s going well. I have to communicate a clear vision for what it is. The HBS is meant to compete with scoops at the top end of the market (some go for upwards of 700 dollars). We are matching the quality (quality of materials, built in jewelry catcher, thicker shaft, wide mouth, evenly distributed weight, zero wiggle in the connection between shaft and scoop) at a price point that is less than half of the price of the scoops at the top of the market. We have a decent amount of pre orders and we are ready to fill the first group of orders!
