  • The Bronx is the only borough in New York City that is connected to the mainland United States. In colonial era New York, ferries were used as a means of transportation between the (many) islands that make up what is currently New York City. In this video, we metal detect a Ferry Point (a landing for a ferry in colonial New York. The location is Ferry Point Park in the Bronx (Formerly Known as Spicer's Neck). It has had a long history and was a central hub for transportation before the Whitestone and Throgs Neck Bridge were built. It is full of (relatively) ancient American history.

    I am a treasure hunter. So in addition to metal detecting, I go mudlarking at sites such as Dead Horse Bay. Think of mudlarking as metal detecting without a metal detector.

In other words, we put the clad we find in the ground, affiliate earnings, and merchandise earnings in to the stock market and we invest it. This show started in January 2019.

    Do red glass would be an indicator or a trouble light on a piece of machinery really neat items there would be a light underneath it so when it needed to indicate the light would go on and it Shine through the red glass

    The item at 8:25 is a roofing tack. It's old, and what they used before roofing nails came into use. Merrill, you should be wearing gloves !! You are digging in trashy areas and could cut yourself on glass, metal etc.

    • @MetalDetectingNYC
      @MetalDetectingNYC  5 років тому

      Thanks Brian, I know this sounds ridiculous, but I cant concentrate the same with gloves. My hands start to sweat and I focus on that. I got cut when I started in 2012 but its been years since I got cut. You are absolutely right though and I appreciate the concern!
