Don't take my word, I might be wrong for it, since we haven't heard anything if they were going to include them, but to me, I doubt they're going to include them. Scion is the only one missing anyways. Duelist, Shadow, Ranger, Witch, Templar, Marauder are still there. EDIT: NEVERMIND MARAUDER IS STILL THERE.

Incredibly responsive, but makes your decisions not matter because you can always back out. Gimme 3 seconds long cast time nuke which I can't cancel out of. Now that's satisfying.
poe was never about graphics but theyve made the game looks so beautiful. the shine on wet surfaces as your character moves around, the shadows created from ice chunks and the details on the enviromental objects.
The uncut gems thing is amazing, I have to give massive props to that. It's such a nice middle design ground between ruthless and standard way of doing skill gems, you get the excitement of dropping gems while playing the game but you still get the choice of what skills to get, just not from a boring shop. Very good. And even more props to balancing stronger skills around longer animation cast times and recovery, instead of annoying cooldowns. That is very very big brained and people who think the game is "slow" are not getting it yet. A break from all the bloat and speed creep in PoE1 will be great, I could never get into PoE as much as I wanted due to the bloat and obtuseness of how the game is designed in a lot of ways, I love the decision to separate the two and starting fresh instead of an expansion.

After seeing the extraordinarily bland color pallet of D4 and the really boring looking game play I think if they just did it or had a mod to make the game black and white it would actually be an improvement and make it look far more interesting than it does now.

Static maps, static difficulty with level scaling, boring itemization based on legendary powers, clunky combat based on cooldowns or generator-spender system. Campaign is painful to repeat with forced dialogues and cutscenes all day long. One big map instead of acts. From design point of view one large map instead of acts resulted in very boring world that has no real diversity in terms of theme. Plus many more. Will try in like year or so again.

@@NicolasSilvaVasault that was patched out, it was problem about 2 leagues ago when arch nemesis was overtuned but in sanctum they greatly improved it. i play mostly dot build so dps is almost entirely based around nothing but resistances, and i havent had a problem since. i do know that there is a slight issue when it comes to attack based builds and the expedition mechanic, but that not because of res but due to the high base block on many of the mobs in that mechanic. the best work around for that though is overwhelm damage or bleed if your melee and if you bow/wander your kinda just got get one hit in and explosions will normally handle the rest.
The ability to swap both weapons & passives when you are using specific skills is fcking awesome! also I loved the staff that give you the ability to triple cast a spell & that meteor skill looks sick! also I loved the visuals & monster design, all in all very excited for this! if there is a small minus in my eyes that would be "death animations" I would like to see better death animations for all monsters & also bosses, since the game won't be released for at least a year still you have time to work on this. Keep up the good work I can't wait to try this! 😍😍😍
this looks good... I hope there will be more reaction from enemies to hits and kills. Ragdolls, corpses flying from explosion, decapitations etc to sell power of the skills
that attack or cast cancelation when rolling is going to be a GAME CHANGER. Doesn't matter if this game is being released tomorrow or by the time I'm 70, I'm sure no game will have this smooth animations and no game will put this much thoughts and time in this game to change such simple but very impactful things. PLEASE, keep up the good work!
I wonder if they'll bring back some of the UI they had in the first preview 2 years ago. Rare enemies used to have yellow teeth outlines inside their names, that were shows as HP ticks. I thought that was a nice tough. Also portraits returning for dialogue would be nice.
Automatic weapon+talent swapping to cast defensive abilities is gonna be nuts, imagine if you could automatically switch to an armor stacking shield and get 10 more passives of armor before casting molten shell.
This looks amazing! Looks like a HUGE step up from the original POE. Can't wait! With the increased mobility, any chance that we'll have the option to use WASD keys for movement control, and rebind the other abilities?
So, with this new passive system, i can use the AoE part of the tree without compromising my single target? Neat. Also, noticed they are pushing the "multiple active skills" playstyle as a viable option, but i still can't see how a single strong active skill won't out damage it. especially with cooldowns not being a thing. None the less, the gameplay looks clean. Very much excited to play this.
Remember that each skill gets it's own set of support links now, so it's not a tradeoff between "single highly-suppoted, high damage skill" and "multiple active skills", but "single, high damage skill" vs "multiple high damage skills, with combo effects"
@@Tehwhitekity exactly and Durational buff/proc based implementation/stacking/chaining so on with uniques/ascendencies ofc. I mean i was an avid USER of orb of storms...and it only got better/clearing/utility etc...or using brands for the same/concept applying buff/debuff/shock etc...for dot builds too or on hit/crit. Seeing that POE2 will be more fluid/oriented towards this combat/playstyle has me HYPED that potentially trash mobs will be easy/clears just like in poe/orb of storms etc....and the ELITES/bosses will be more worthwhile encounters. As well as how these skills/utility potential crosses over into HC/viability and the various/high value combinations/gem links that will be essentially on the A+ to S+ tier list of mandatory/mitigation/debuff links. Vortex an other Clear skill/1 link that has its value...or vall coldsnap. ETC honestly if POE 2 Goes deeper into this aspect of utility/flexibility it can be very "build enabling" in non HC as well. and add a lot of caveats of fun to builds/party play.
I must admit i was an avid critic of GGG ever since 3.17. They have absolutely blown me away with PoE 2. It's amazing in every aspect, the demonstration was top notch and I can't wait for its release. You guys have proven yourselves to be the very best!
Well this looks amazing!The combat is very good as D4s combat,different but both very good,bosses way better than D4s and graphics art very beautiful,I like this style(I like D4s graphics too).But please make the loot feel important because D4s loot sucks in all the ways and half of the joy in these types of games is loot!!🙏
The weapon/skill swap thing looks neat but I'd guess it won't see a ton of use unless there are specific use cases for swapping elements, like say if there's a fire spell that does a lot of extra damage if it hits a shocked/frozen/what ever enemy. Otherwise it seems like you'd still want to be focused on one element so your auto skills are always getting the maximum benefit rather than, as the example content shows, having a triggered cold ability go off when a lightning ability shocks and then either having that skill not benefit from your cold weapon and passives or forcing a weapon swap at a potentially inopportune time. Regardless it looks good, I'm super hyped to give it a try!
I mean, you get skillpoints for each weapon.. So you can go full single target dmg on one and a fast clear on the other weapon. Gotta remember it probably wont be as PoE works now with skills. Will be interesting to see what they do with it tho.

PLEASE, don't ruin the game with ugly microtransaction skins, make them harmonious, aesthetically appropriate to the game, because in poe 1 everything seems bright and exploding. they look epileptic. my honest comment after playing since 2013 :). i love this game forever

This feels more 'Diablo' than both Actizzard's games. I'm gonna only play D2R and PoE2, D3 and D4 were both steps into wrong directions. PoE2 graphics look so great and the monster design is SUPERB!!! I can't stress enough how much I love all the creatures!
XD i mean as if they care....they knew the "HYPE" was real and literally CASHED in....thats all they did...and all that company/org will ever do. use their brand recognition/marketing DEPT to instill/build hype...and use the rest of their workforce/capital to cash in on said hype....while the rest of the company cosplays as "game developers/designers." From a mgmt standpoint. As if consumers/gamers arent cucked into loot boxes and spending $$$ on free games as it is in this day and age...all bets are off with "expectations" and sentimentality towards "integrity" in this industry. Animation canceling on the dodge roll is SICK. This kind of thing always makes games feel incredibly responsive.
Its stupid, when in endgame cast speed is fast, and already we have better movement skills, just need to add evasion frame rate like in dark souls

Never really got into PoE 1 but this one looks really amazing so far. The weapon swap part is quite brilliant.
Play on hardcore it was the only way i could play it.
I like how so many skills seem to be designed to work in synergy with others to get the most out of them to avoid players spamming just one skill.

Nice and clean gameplay, beautiful graphics. No bullshit numbers and texts popping up, no cutscenes breaking the flow of the game (looking at you D4)
The ability to swap both weapons & passives when you are using specific skills is fcking awesome! also I loved the staff that give you the ability to triple cast a spell & that meteor skill looks sick! also I loved the visuals & monster design, all in all very excited for this! if there is a small minus in my eyes that would be "death animations" I would like to see better death animations for all monsters & also bosses, since the game won't be released for at least a year still you have time to work on this.

this looks good... I hope there will be more reaction from enemies to hits and kills. Ragdolls, corpses flying from explosion, decapitations etc to sell power of the skills

Diablo IIIs combat felt super fun because of ragdolls. Being able to comet blast an enemy into the stratosphere is always hilarious.
that attack or cast cancelation when rolling is going to be a GAME CHANGER. Doesn't matter if this game is being released tomorrow or by the time I'm 70, I'm sure no game will have this smooth animations and no game will put this much thoughts and time in this game to change such simple but very impactful things. PLEASE, keep up the good work!
They showed a non-legenary drop from POE2 having a more interesting affix than D4's rarest legendaries. Truely pathetic Blizzard
I wonder if they'll bring back some of the UI they had in the first preview 2 years ago. Rare enemies used to have yellow teeth outlines inside their names, that were shows as HP ticks. I thought that was a nice tough.
Also portraits returning for dialogue would be nice.
Automatic weapon+talent swapping to cast defensive abilities is gonna be nuts, imagine if you could automatically switch to an armor stacking shield and get 10 more passives of armor before casting molten shell.

So, with this new passive system, i can use the AoE part of the tree without compromising my single target? Neat. Also, noticed they are pushing the "multiple active skills" playstyle as a viable option, but i still can't see how a single strong active skill won't out damage it. especially with cooldowns not being a thing. None the less, the gameplay looks clean. Very much excited to play this.
Remember that each skill gets it's own set of support links now, so it's not a tradeoff between "single highly-suppoted, high damage skill" and "multiple active skills", but "single, high damage skill" vs "multiple high damage skills, with combo effects"
@@Tehwhitekity exactly and Durational buff/proc based implementation/stacking/chaining so on with uniques/ascendencies ofc. I mean i was an avid USER of orb of storms...and it only got better/clearing/utility etc...or using brands for the same/concept applying buff/debuff/shock etc...for dot builds too or on hit/crit. Seeing that POE2 will be more fluid/oriented towards this combat/playstyle has me HYPED that potentially trash mobs will be easy/clears just like in poe/orb of storms etc....and the ELITES/bosses will be more worthwhile encounters. As well as how these skills/utility potential crosses over into HC/viability and the various/high value combinations/gem links that will be essentially on the A+ to S+ tier list of mandatory/mitigation/debuff links. Vortex an other Clear skill/1 link that has its value...or vall coldsnap. ETC honestly if POE 2 Goes deeper into this aspect of utility/flexibility it can be very "build enabling" in non HC as well. and add a lot of caveats of fun to builds/party play.
also, if they really want to push multiple active skills, they can add immunities. Hope they don't, but it's an option.

The Monk looks like he's going to be my first character pick, watching him fight is like watching SekiroBorne or DMC-lite combat in an ARPG.
the reactive gameplay looks lightyears ahead of poe1 much more dynamic.
I really love the focus on increasing mobility in combat for POE2. The monk class looks very fun. Looking forward to when it eventually comes to PS5.

I must admit i was an avid critic of GGG ever since 3.17. They have absolutely blown me away with PoE 2. It's amazing in every aspect, the demonstration was top notch and I can't wait for its release. You guys have proven yourselves to be the very best!
Well this looks amazing!The combat is very good as D4s combat,different but both very good,bosses way better than D4s and graphics art very beautiful,I like this style(I like D4s graphics too).But please make the loot feel important because D4s loot sucks in all the ways and half of the joy in these types of games is loot!!🙏

POE's loot is far far worse. Practically every time you drop is utterly worthless and you cant only upgrade by buying items

Can't wait to hoo-mannay as the monk, though I might start with witch since she has the most fun dialogue of the classes in POE 1.
The weapon/skill swap thing looks neat but I'd guess it won't see a ton of use unless there are specific use cases for swapping elements, like say if there's a fire spell that does a lot of extra damage if it hits a shocked/frozen/what ever enemy. Otherwise it seems like you'd still want to be focused on one element so your auto skills are always getting the maximum benefit rather than, as the example content shows, having a triggered cold ability go off when a lightning ability shocks and then either having that skill not benefit from your cold weapon and passives or forcing a weapon swap at a potentially inopportune time. Regardless it looks good, I'm super hyped to give it a try!
I mean, you get skillpoints for each weapon.. So you can go full single target dmg on one and a fast clear on the other weapon. Gotta remember it probably wont be as PoE works now with skills. Will be interesting to see what they do with it tho.
@@ravotheone That's true, I hadn't considered keeping most things the same and then moving AoE nodes out for more damage or crit on single targets.

Makes D4 looks like a budget game.
This feels more 'Diablo' than both Actizzard's games. I'm gonna only play D2R and PoE2, D3 and D4 were both steps into wrong directions. PoE2 graphics look so great and the monster design is SUPERB!!! I can't stress enough how much I love all the creatures!
I will wait as long as it takes. D4 showing what happens when you release an unfinished product
XD i mean as if they care....they knew the "HYPE" was real and literally CASHED in....thats all they did...and all that company/org will ever do. use their brand recognition/marketing DEPT to instill/build hype...and use the rest of their workforce/capital to cash in on said hype....while the rest of the company cosplays as "game developers/designers." From a mgmt standpoint. As if consumers/gamers arent cucked into loot boxes and spending $$$ on free games as it is in this day and age...all bets are off with "expectations" and sentimentality towards "integrity" in this industry. Tencent is this "BIG" GGG isnt....luckily.

With the addition and focus on much more complicated movement options, does the game finally support WASD controls for movement with the mouse cursor for aiming? Or are we still multi-tasking with one hand?
