Just a reminder guys, we haven't had any final confirmation of the classes that will be available in early access. Hopefully we'll hear something soon! What's the classes you're most excited to try out?
Druid, I'm hopeful xD Have been theorycrafting a nice build with fire and stuns that can be pretty OP, with lots of breaking armour and crowd control. And also with the new gem implications, you have a limited set of options for support gems since you can't have 2 of a kind that I have taken account for.. Also I hope they'll add a tiger or lion form for him.
You were not lying in the intro. No clickbait, concise and straight to the point. Great script and everything was perfectly clear and easyily communicated. Subbed!
2:54 In an interview, if I recall correctly, Jonathan said the rhoa is essentially just a minion summoning skill (available to anyone), and thus reserves a part of your spirit, and the unique active ability of said minion is allowing you to get on the mount to remove movement speed penalties while using bow skills (similar to how the skeleton sniper's active ability is shooting a gas cloud arrow), but also suffering a massive stagger if you happen to be stunned while on the mount. While not riding the mount, it'll behave like a normal minion and attack stuff around you.
Your idea to turn into a POE specific monster is so cool and maybe to piggy back off that gave me an idea for a "mimic Monster" skill that you could mimic monsters similar to how you can capture a monster as a minion. Maybe even adapt and mimic the nearest pack around you and even gain some of their modifiers somehow, definitely a lot of cool things they could go with this class.
Yeah the waiting room is even starting to empty. The only thing Diablo does better is quality over quantity for drops, but I wouldn’t be surprised if PoE2 follows suit
Depends on stats Range usually dies when surrounded, melee dies when CCed The first one is pushed into increasing damage, the second needs more recovery and sustain I also think boss fights will be in enclosed and smaller rooms, come to think of it going into Range assuming it's gonna be easier might be a mistake That being said I expect melee to have more problems against ranged mobs and summoners, which usually is the case But again I expect boss fights in general to be a bit easier with melee 🙂
Me and my friends were talking about D4, even the shit expansion would not care me if D4 have Javazon, but it doesn't. So Poe 2 I am waiting really much
When I heard that this game is only one month away, I got really excited, and when I then scrolled down and saw that the video is one month old, I immediately went to Steam and bought the EA pack! XD Can't wait! Only a few more hours. 🥰 Also, great summary! I will most likely start as a mercenary, but if PoE1 in anything to go by, I will go crazy on the game anyway, and play all classes extensively. 😍 Edit: I really love that they have a ranger and a huntress, as while these two may seem similar, I believe that a dexterous fighter definitely is a theme that has a lot of room for differences. Same goes for Warrior and Marauder, as there definitely is also nuance in these styles, one being more of a big guy in armour, the other more a barbarian. If you want to have the perfect fantasy for your character, details like that are very welcome. 😁
For the first time in a while, melee is tempting. Monk looks quite unique flavor wise and seems to fit the changes to the gameplay format. So Ranger for sure, monk second and then mercenary 'cause c'mon...Shotgun, automatics and grenades!!!
@@c-tothefourth4879 yeah sure but no doubt that some mercenary specificities and ascendencies will highlight/enhance skills related or exclusive to crossbows, grenades etc. Knowing GGG, they didn't showcase that class with those weapons just randomly.
Very good class designs and choices, but a pure samurai class would be extremely cool aswell. But for now im probably going for Shadow. Maybe Dualist and Mercenary.
I have never played POE. I play a ton of D4 and am intrigued to try POE2 / Sorc. I hope their introductory quest is good as the game seems really intimidating. Are there any classes that are BAD to choose for overall gameplay?
Doubt the maurauder would be one with warrior around, maybe like a cleric style class since there's a lot of supportive nodes on the passive tree and with the style of play there could be more support play in general for higher content
Some skills are tied to weapons, some aren't. But you can hold 2 weapons so a crossbow and a bow equipped giving you both sets of abilities is always an option!
One thing they have to change to make wasd usable at end game, is automation of life flasks, you can't move with wasd, and still click life flasks. If they don't have they at launch, noone will use wasd for very long.
Dont know If u played poe before but there is no default this significant. U get a class which determines your beginning on the passive tree and only a little bit different stats. For forms or new fighting styles u have ascendancies, something like a mastery u can specialise in. So no forms in mtx (cosmetics). Only alteration of your looks. Like another race in terms of the bear. Grizzly, Brownbear, White Beast, panserbjørn ( If u know "the golden compass").
i think it would be cool if certain gems had value of their own, but like cause of the ability itself not cause the stat gain. like a 300div gem that allows druids to turn into a dragon.
Really, really wish we could get a game where the zoomancer wasn't locked to undead summoning. It was cool in D2 with the necro, but we need a zoomancer with animals or something else.
Do PoE 1 characters carry over to PoE 2 in any way? I'm not seeing a Scion or anything like it that goes triple-stat, so I'm guessing we have to start over. But I do hear that our cosmetics carry across, which must have been a lot of work because I'm seeing a lot of classes in total for the team to make models for. Perhaps some classes share models, idk.
I'm hoping for a Samurai or Ronin class that has iaijutsu in its combat possibly faster than the Warrior but less tanky, slower than the shadow or dualist but has critical and counter in its skill set. That's just wishful thinking :D
New to this whole Genre and got into this style of gaming through D4. I love how many more classes there are in POE2. Will there be an actual story campaign though?
GGG really just focuses on gameplay. Yes, there will be a story but they don't really have the experience or resources to make it a AAA experience. It is just going to be there.
it should turn into the beast from the Den and have the option to change colors and patterns mtx. All shapeshifting should be in the game rather then non-existent creatures within lore or game
So they basically took your average classes ascendancies, and separated that into classes. I just hope leveling will be fast, i hate playing same story so many times just to try different end game for different class
I want druids to be able to shapeshift into that chocobo that rangers can ride. Then your ranger friend can ride you! Bonus points if you can summon an npc ranger to ride you XD
can't wait for new players to Path of Exile, see the skill tree, and say what the fuck. Some games tried to copy these kind of skill tree, rarely do they come close. DA Veilguard at first glance look like a PoE skill tree, but as you go in-depth, you realize each specialization only caters to certain playstyle i.e. Reaper with shield throw build
04:40 What other animal? If they're going bear and wolf, the logical third animal would be the boar, basing it on the Norse berserker-ulfhednar-jöfur trifecta. Those are the three 'types' of animal-based trance/shamanic shapeshifting warriors, according to wikipedia. Thematically speaking, bear would be the slower tanky one to rampage with, wolf would be the one for buffing minion builds, and boar would be the one with more dashes and forward charging/goring capacity, if that's the line they're going for. As for what I'd *like* to see as animal forms? I'm partial to reindeer, because they almost never get represented accurately in media. Seriously: games, movies, cartoons, for some reason *everybody* gets it demonstrably wrong, especially the snouts. Only one that's mostly correct is Them's Fighting Herds. But it looks like the folks at Grinding Gears do their research, so they'd likely get it correct. Barring that, branching out into non-mammalian forms would be awesome. Specifically: -Salamander or Giant Toad. Give you a poison aura, and needs some kind of weather control to stay wet and in your form. Have a health regen buff as long as you've got a certain spell up. -Alligator Snapping Turtle: taunt with that little tongue thing they have, tank up, deal massive damage with a bite attack, AOE with the ridges on their back. -Cassowary, or a Moa. Speaks for itself. Would likely interfere with the design space assigned to Ranger's mount, though.
hey you've watched and comments on 2 of my recent vids, cheers! I hadn't really thought about arena size but you're not wrong, I feel like most of what I've seen has all been very similar. I'm really curious how builds using the active block mechanic will go against bosses.

Warrior! The feeling of those heavy slams is beyond satisfying 💥💪
Druid, I'm hopeful xD

I agree but it’s still mad and better then d4 🤷♂️
Probably the Templar :)
Druid needs a hawk/owl/raven/crow transformation
You were not lying in the intro. No clickbait, concise and straight to the point. Great script and everything was perfectly clear and easyily communicated. Subbed!
Legend, thankyou!
I hope the Monk has an unarmed specialty/ascendancy. Or heck, some new weapon base like Knuckles
Same, bare knuckle monk is my fav archetype
They very recently showcased a new skill which requires you to be unarmed to use the skill. Looks like it's going to fulfill the unarmed fantasy!
The Monk will likely share the unarmed schtick with the Shadow, as at least a while ago, GGG announced that Claws could be used with Unarmed attacks.
Wait seriously?! Claws being usable with unarmed would be HUGE...@@NemisCassander
@@stephennetu They mentioned this some time ago, so I don't know if it is still valid, but they did mention this.
T O A D. Not enough druids in games do reptiles or amphibians. It's always just the same mammals. Gimme lizards, toads and some screeching birds.
as minions aswell its always skeletons and stuff,i want animals, beastmaster, nature caller
turning into a bird would be badass though lul
turn into a komodo dragon doing 100% poison chance,or whats the most badass killer reptile lul
Some sort of octopus with multiple arms, allowing multiple weapons, or a "natural" multistrike ability
Yes I want some more necrotic flavor in my druids! Circle of spores!

Maybe even adapt and mimic the nearest pack around you and even gain some of their modifiers somehow, definitely a lot of cool things they could go with this class.
The two animals that would be most likely to choose for 'uniqueness' would be the rhoa and the drop bear.
@@NemisCassander oh God the drop bears lol maybe a goatman?!
Thanks for that summary, getting hyped up for next month!
Grinding renown in D4(Poe 2 waiting room) right now and all it’s doing is making me want this game more and more. It’s going to be amazing.
I went back for the recent expansion and the lack of skills was eating at me the whole time
@@Born_Reddy It was fun for a couple days. I got jebaited, I ate the shit.
Yeah the waiting room is even starting to empty. The only thing Diablo does better is quality over quantity for drops, but I wouldn’t be surprised if PoE2 follows suit
Just found your channel, but the quality of explanation was excellent. You should have way more subs.
Appreciate it mate!
Cant wait to see the shadow and templar
they are gods and not ported to poe 2
I want to use a witch with a 2h sword like my first time in PoE
Can't wait to play an elemental specialized Druid. Lightning, hurricanes, and tornadoes for my enemies!
Same!!!!
Just now getting around to looking into this game more closely and HOLY CRAP they are knocking it outta the park early.
The Templar will be my choice if I can play it as a zeal paladin type of class from Diablo 2.
Thanks for a succinct overview, you've made my excitement even more excited!
Appreciate it :) thanks for the comment. Less than a month and we'll be absolutely smashing some PoE2!
Range >>> Melee when you never run out of ammo.
Depends on stats
Range usually dies when surrounded, melee dies when CCed
The first one is pushed into increasing damage, the second needs more recovery and sustain
I also think boss fights will be in enclosed and smaller rooms, come to think of it going into Range assuming it's gonna be easier might be a mistake
That being said I expect melee to have more problems against ranged mobs and summoners, which usually is the case
But again I expect boss fights in general to be a bit easier with melee 🙂
So:
witch / sorceress - int
druid / templar - int / str
monk / shadow - int / dex
warrior / marauder - str
ranger / huntress - dex
duellist / mercenary - str / dex
Correct?
Nailed it! I believe that's right
I'm always a generic Sorcerer kind of player but the monk looks like so much fun while also having a bit of elemental magic going on
Thank you for this video. I really enjoyed it
Can’t wait to play the huntress!
Me and my friends were talking about D4, even the shit expansion would not care me if D4 have Javazon, but it doesn't. So Poe 2 I am waiting really much
She looks biring af though
i love using druids especially in games like diablo it would be cool if u could turn into a giant man spider or minotaur or a man dragon on 2 feet
I'm usually a melee kinda guy, but with the WASD movement the crossbow shotgun playstyle looks awesome
When I heard that this game is only one month away, I got really excited, and when I then scrolled down and saw that the video is one month old, I immediately went to Steam and bought the EA pack! XD

A cool ascendancy for druid following the aztec theme. Would be able to turn into Quetzalcoatl.

Mercenary looks up my alley. I've always loved x-bows in games
very well summarized. appreciate the video!
Druid shape shift to a giants tree or a tiny fairy
Damn i had been so focused on animals I hadn't considered just a big ass tree. That'd be awesome
