Hey, thanks for checking out my short video :^) It has been quite the journey to get here once again. Another long video, that took weeks to write, record and especially edit. I hope the video will be enjoyable to watch even for non-PoE players that may come across this video. I had to cut a lot out of this video to make it somewhat watchable. I was only able to give you a tiny glimpse of what PoE is all about. If you are just slightly interested in the game after watching this, I highly recommend jumping in and giving it a try. Thanks for watching and giving my video a try ♥ EDIT: And we reached over 100.000 views! 😱 Thank you for the support. We are also close to 1000 subscribers now, which is awesome 😊
Forgot to post the PoE profile in the description. Here is the profile and the character. I haven't changed anything since the Uber Elder fight - www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/daniel_free2play
I enjoyed it as non-PoE player very much, being Warframe player myself I understand concept pay to speed up your progress or skip some specific annoying farm. If monetary model is fair I dont see issue paying.
The Taiwanese player Aila won rank #1 in multiple races to lvl 100 in HC SFF with just the standard 4 tabs. But he was the champion of his time, far beyond even a seasoned player. You got pretty far in 24 hours! Great job!
Currency trade was actually done in the distant past by creating a public group and naming it something like "WTS chaos for exalts 100/1". The list of public groups was pretty much full of currency sellers
I always buy one of the seasonal suppporter packs after I have finished playing the season. Its typically 80 - 150 hours on each season after which I throw some money their way for the fun I had.
That is a good way of thinking about it. If the league provides some joy, why not throw a few bucks at them and get some goodies, like "skins" back at the same time.
I do somewhat same thing If I feel like I'll play the season I buy a pack. Love how it's basically a reasonable tipping kind of thing without expectations.
Only half way through the video but you’ve already made me want to get back into the game and I went to check how many subs you have expecting 100s of thousands very surprised that you only had 1000 keep it up man amazing work!
I really appreciate this video! You could have spend 5 minutes and said: Yes you can and even within 24 hours of playtime. But you didn't. instead, you really went over your decisions, ups & downs and it felt like an adventure. I enjoyed every minute of it without realizing it's a movie length video. The video even taught me several things even though i am 2500 hours deep into POE. That also says something about the depth of this game. This was seriously one of the best "challenge videos" I have seen in a while.
It's a good video, but it's not a challenge video, because the answer is just an obvious "yes you can because it's not a P2W game", think the video title was chosen for algorithm reasons rather than having anything to do with the content. He basically just narrates a very standard playthrough
PoE, Warframe and League for me. PoE is like a marriage commitment, League is like a side mistress (i only get what I like, & f u faker ahri $500 skin bullsh1t)... and warframe, I love warframe, besides, getting a 75% discount coupon on plat purchases is fkn nuts. I have no regrets for my purchases on any of these f2p games.... but shit are there a lot of games i regret buying.
@@jasonrouse8215 yeah I love warframe too but the thrill of the game for me was getting plat as f2p and paying up just as support just like poe altho I need more stash every league :P
I think you did a good job explaining your actions and reasons to do certain quests. It works well with your commenting style. I could imagine this being really helpful for new players without solely focusing on them as your segment. you have a good thing going here. keep it up :)
Thank you. I thought of non-PoE players when writing the script. So even if you are into games in general or specifically RPGs, you hopefully enjoy the video.
This is a very fun video. I am 1 hour in and I love the way you narrate this - the jokes are nice, the pacing is great, this is a fun way to live the progression of PoE...While playing poE on my main monitor lol, gotta love the game. Have a good one, subbed!
for the stash size issue: you can make other characters to store your lesser used items, and you can also run 2 accounts at the same time, which means you can effectively have unlimited space (because you can make multiple accounts). if you're doing a free to play experience, imo the best way is to just run a 2nd instance with one that has your trades setup, just limit it to like 2 fps in the background. you simply have to trade what you want to trade to your alt account and then list it. edit: you can also use the acquisition external tool by gerwaric to list your items, it's way easier than through the forums and once it's setup basically works as well or better than premuim tabs (except having to tab to it to make changes, which is a big plus for premium tabs. but it's especially useful for currencies, as you can still use your currency tab to craft with right click while listing them) it also allows listing items offline, in remove-only tabs and in your other characters' inventories.
@@dominat0r3600 poe has been around for 11 years, because people buy stash tabs. What they and we would be losing is poe f2p and it would probably turn poe 2 into a p2w. So the would be losing alot and so would we.
@@supbrozos 11 years and f2p players still haven't contributed to GGG and don't deserve a free premium stash tab, make a purchase and show them that you appreciate their game, not play their game for free and be appreciated by them for it.
Such an accurate description of PoE experience. If you go range/caster you'll go places and see things. If you go melee.... you're just gimping yourself and play the game on hard mode. ;D
At first I was wondering why Steve was only at 2k depth, but seeing the editing explains a lot, this must have taken a lot of work. Great video, it was a fun watch
You're welcome 😊 I think 21:9 looks amazing in some games, like Starfield if you have the monitor. But to actually enjoy a video on a regular monitor/phone, 16:9 can't be beaten. Here is some behind the scenes info, the biggest mistake I have made in this video was to record it in 21:9 and not 16:9 to begin with. It made editing quite difficult or even impossible 😅 Can't make it perfect I guess.
That is a good point, but you get the content for free in PoE. DLCs are giving you content. So technically, you pay for content in other games, which you don't need to do in PoE. Of course, more updates led to many more items which you want to store, but at some point you don't need more stash tabs, because you don't even fill most of them.
@@xcodyv7585 I'm sorry, but you really should have looked up the actual prices before commenting. The price to upgrade 1 basic stash tab to a premium one to easily trade items, like mentioned in the video is 15 coins or roughly 1.5 dollars/euros. That is barely anything depending on where you live and far less from the 40$ that you mentioned. - www.pathofexile.com/shop/category/stash-tabs To be fair though, that is far from what I would want to buy to feel comfortable in the game when it comes to storing stuff. But I'm also someone who prefers 4 TB in my PC over 1 TB and will happily pay more to get it. Still, stash tab sales are every 3rd weekend after a league start (I think) so those prices can be even lower. But at the end of the day, it depends on what money is worth to you. If I get 100 hours of fun out of a truly free game that offers me all the content, I think I can spend 10-20€.
@@xcodyv7585 who tf complaining about the prices what i mean is its like mandatory to pay a price just to sell stuff in their trade site where in it should be a basic game function to begin with.
Next PoE-Challenge => "the noob" Free to play, no external tools, no build guide, no loot filter, no vendor recipes ... nothing someone who is new wouldn't know good luck
If you are curious from somebody who did that, I didn't really know how the game worked, so after beating Kitava in act 5, I considered the game beaten and was satisfied to move on, I briefly tried act 6, but that was far too difficult and I didn't feel like going through the acts again in a NG+ A year later a friend had played it who told me about maps, so I rolled up a new character and rocked through the campaign with crit fireball... and arc... and frost bolt... and zombies lmao. But like 20k dps, 2k life and 1k energy shield does not make for a pleasant mapping experience!
I did that back in harvest league, and I quit the game at act 6, I was playing eartshatter skill extra story: Only came back to PoE in ultimatum league, I beat the acts with the help of a build guide for bladefall/bladeblast, got to level 93, cleared most stuff and quit again Came back for good back in curcible, I did everything you can do in PoE and been playing every league ever since
I do this normally. But I also don't get far because arpgs like poe and diablo don't hold my attention that long. so i can get away with just making some random jank build and just have fun while it has my attention.
I played 1100 hours before I bought any stash tabs, and the $20 I spent on currency+map+1premium tab on sale from the First Blood Pack are more than enough that I cannot imagine wanting more. A huge part of gitting gud at PoE is learning what to not bother picking up.
thats impressive with 4+3 tabs , cant emagine anymore how it was witthout to play without all the others even its only max 1 year ago i started playing, but however the pay(cost)/playtime ratio is even with all affinity tabs and some premium and quad tabs waaaaaaaaayyy higher than in many many many ... other games ^^
It has been years since I made my guild so I can't remember if making a guild is free, but if that's the case for f2p challenges you could make your own guild with no one else in it for an extra guild stash tab (I think each guild starts with one stash tab?) for some extra storage. This was a really fun video!
First of all I wanna start by saying that I thoroughly enjoyed the video. The comedic commentary was refreshing and the structure was beautiful! Now, with absolutely no intention to diminish people's financial status and local currency exchange rates, I must say that in my humble opinion, the most efficient thing you can do IF you can afford it AND you end up enjoying the game, is to spend 20$ for the First Blood pack which instantly gives you an extra tab and 200 store points. Then wait for a sales weekend on tabs (those happen pretty often) and buy 1 currency tab for 60 points, 1 map tab for 120 points and upgrade 2 of your normal tabs to premium for 2x10 points for a grand total of 200 points. I believe those should be enough to play the game for a looooong time and IF/WHEN you are willing to spend more, you can start buying other tabs (on sale of course).
This is how I feel Path of Exile is meant to be played. You don't have to spend money....but if you're playing this FREE GAME with major updates THREE TIMES A YEAR? If you play it more than 20 hours, its my personal opinion that you OWE them some love. I played for 8 years without buying anything other than a few stash tabs for ease of playing. Didn't have the money. Spent $500 in the last couple leagues because I finally had the money. For the first time in my PoE history, I have a full set of fancy armors and effects instead of just utility for the game. I even have the turtle hideout
Amazing video, loved the silly jokes, the gameplay and explanations for newbies. Showing the possibilities for trade league gameplay (cool stuff for lucky drops and currency)
One note on the completed map thing. You can actually look on your atlas. If the map isnt marked at all you havent defeated the boss yet, if the map is marked but has nothing additional (no golden circle) you have defeated the map boss but not the secondary "challange" to get the atlas point and if the map is with a golden circle and glowing white the glowing white means maven has vitnessed the map. I know this might still not as good as in the map tab but I think it is quite handy to get an overview like if you still need T1 or T3 maps or where your missing a map. And I have to say even though I have a map tab I rarly use it to check what maps missing mostly I still go over them with alt or check on the atlas.
When the game first came out you could stretch those first four tabs a lot further. The game was a lot slower paced and there weren't any league mechanics that vomited loot and currency out at us all of the time like we have now. Its so ridiculously easy to fill up 4 basic stash tabs with currency and maps alone, let alone trying to participate in league mechanics like Essence, Divination Cards, Oils, Scarabs, Fragments ect. ect. Honestly Currency and Map tabs should be base kit since those are the two most integral to the core gameplay loop. Hell i'd be most F2P players would be willing to give up 2 of their 4 bank tabs for Currency and Map tabs.
Aww thank you. I'm glad you think that. It was part of my goal to show the game off in a way that would make it appealing to a more general audience. It is a bit scary to start the game and keep playing, I get that. There is a lot to learn and figure out, but when it clicks, there is no better feeling. It just takes a while, but lots of great content creators are out there to help new players, either directly or with build guides, if you need it.
Seeing all the currency drops around 1:26:00 as a mid-level player with just over 7K hours fills my heart with joy. OH OH I KNOW THIS ONE BECAUSE I'M A FLASK CRAFTER!!! I wish more people knew about this. At 1:27:48 we can see a Silver Flask which grants Onslaught, a buff that gives 20% Attack/Cast/Movement speed to the character when used. This then scales with the 25% Increased Effect line to make those buffs into 25% total, very strong. On top of that, the 62% Reduced Effect of Shock On You is a an OK modifier, however I would've recommended Chance to Avoid Being Shocked. The reason for that is, when combined with a unique jewel called Storm Shroud, the flask would turn Chance to Avoid Being Shocked into avoiding any of the three elemental damage types. After using a currency orb called an Enkindling Orb on the flask repeatedly until finding a 60-70% Increased Effect modifier, that would boost the Chance To Avoid Being Shocked to over 100%. With the Storm Shroud jewel, he then could not be Shocked from lightning damage, Burned from fire damage, or Chilled from Cold damage (He already had 100% protection from being Frozen, a second tier of Cold effect, because of the pantheon upgrade he received on the Brine King major power). More people need to know about the Storm Shroud jewel interaction. Just saying.
It is interesting what is considered "beating" the game in the eyes of different people. I think its valid especially from a new player "testing the game" perspective to say get to red maps and get 2-4void stones. Funnily enough you can argue that for more veteran player getting those 4 voidstones is where the game really begins because then you have all maps t16 and you should have a good bit of your passive points to actually start your endgame farm. So instead of it being an endgame goal to "beat" the game its pretty much the entry that you do on day 1-2 so you can start the fun :D
Totally. It was tough for me to decide what is "beating" PoE and what would make a good story for a video, especially for non-PoE players that may watch the video. The goal of getting all 4 voidstones might take many days or even weeks for those players - depending on how many hours they can play per day. I could have said "get 100 divines", which would be an interesting challenge in the future, but wouldn't be as fun to watch, because all you do is show the big trades in a row over and over and over. Especially with a time limit of 24, 48 or 72 hours on a F2P account. Every minute matters would be my guess. That seems a bit boring for a video, because the fun part are the bosses, not just running the 200th map and saying "i got a divine... cool." 😅 Either way, thank you for taking the time to comment.
dam brother 901 subs and counting with a 126k views video well done man keep it up, as per youtube subs are broken and pointless to most, you should be closer to 100k when things are working better :)
Your video was a great take on it. It is a free to try game. I had about 50 hours in the game when I bought a premium and a currency stash tab and another 200 hundo when I bought the rest of the other special tabs. But by then I was hooked.
Well, depending on the definition. I think it is a true free-to-play game, because you can play however many hours for free and can experience everything. Free-to-try, would be a demo or beta, which usually limits you in some way. The point of the video was to show the game is truly F2P from the beginning until the end and you do not need to spend money, nor would I have to, if I wanted to farm many more divines. Even trade itself isn't behind a pay wall, thankfully 😅
What a great video, thank you for sharing that experience! Makes me remember 2016, when me and my friends was fighting for vendor trash uniques... Anyway, like and sub, amazing work!
Really enjoyed your video! Enjoying the current league very much, don't have a lot of time to play and for a relative new player this has learned me alot about end game regarding the voidstones, started poe 3 leagues ago, 1st char i finished campaign, 2nd one i started fumbling about with mapping and the 2nd skilltree, skipped necro league and now i'm back and plan on getting voidstones and try going for the bosses
I've played this game for over 10k hours with a free to play account. Reaching the endgame, farming uber bosses and saving up a mirror/several hundreds of divines for builds while needing to compound wealth into mirror shards and similar things to hold it all in my stash. Today I actually cracked and bought a supporter pack to get a couple of tabs because imo previously playing as F2P has been doable but challenging, but with the recent changes to scarabs, and last leauges corpses taking up so much space I feel like it's just not possible to keep on going F2P in the 'proper' endgame of PoE. Funny how youtube algorithms can be that your vid gets into my feed today of all days lol, stay sane exile.
Dont give much on the hater! Great Storytelling - was very fun to watch. And there is nothing wrong to claim its a struggle w/o currency tab ect! Bc it is :) Keep up the good Work. Edit: great mathil joke!!!!! :D
I like the aspect of this game but my big problem with it is I'm on console and trying to read anything is a nightmare as writing is so small when sitting back from TV a bit but great video glad to be your 800th sub
3000 hour player here (shut up I know I'm addicted) and you explained the strory in a way that's fun and complete. Also I can't believe you made it past maps without a map and frag tab. Kudos to you mad man that 4 tab tetris must have taken you extra days of work.
I have dislike extension enabled and I don't get it, why so many dislikes, I would've never expected such a great and long video from a channel so small. Keep it up brother, I'd love to see more of the same.
The sheer amount of items in this game kept me from ever getting past act 1. I really love the gameplay and progression but I couldn't get an item filter to work properly on console. I'm excited to play POE 2 and hope the item economy is more manageable.
back in the day there were a asian guy who won world first league race with 4 default stash tabs, i cannot remember his name or when was that but being first without spending single money on the race made his first place extra impressive.
tho im saying this i was heavily no stash tab player before i would just make mule alts for stashing currency etc.. after that 1.5 ish hours mark i really did start to feel i need stash tabs
sure now GGG REALLY wants you to buy them tabs yeah also aggressive about it if you ask me with all that new currency and shards but again i really feel like its money well spent
11-year POE player. I've said for years that POE is more like free to try rather than free to play. That said I do think that GGG's monetization is very fair as proven with this video. You can reach end game content with some knowledge and extra work and know if this is a game worth spending $60 on. $60 with tabs on sale will get you all the tabs you should need to effectively play the game forever. And the stash tabs and cosmetic from the $60 pack will transfer to POE2...what other gaming company does that???
Yeah no Free to try is destiny 2. Unlike PoE if you actually want to play the game you gotta buy all the dlcs. You can play all of PoE without buying stash tabs
@@newax_productions2069 you missed the point entirely. OF COURSE all the content is available to you, but in what manner are you able to progress through it, ESPECIALLY as a new player? You can barely keep anything, which is a problem, because you do not even know what's good or not. Your trading capabilities are SEVERELY hampered without premium tabs. As shown in the video, yes you technically CAN reach the endgame with no tabs, but ask yourself, could a new player do this with so many restrictions? Or if they can, do you think they HAD FUN doing it? The one thing every person I know that plays PoE for a longer period now, we all agree on: Nobody could imagine playing this game without tabs, especially specialized tabs. Like it's such a dramatic difference and so important to the core gameplay loop ( DUH >collecting< loot), that they are basically mandatory, if you want to sink serious time into it. Hence this fair comparison to a "free to try out" game: You can comfortably experience enough of the game and see if you even like it as a compelling game, until the game makes it abundandly clear to you, that yes, if you want to keep going, you should invest this one time purchase for a set of tabs to fully experience the game.
@@dshearwf I spent two years playing PoE for hours a day without spending a dime. It's very easy. Do not retain garbage. Do not keep anything unrelated to your build. Your tabs end up primarily being used to house currency and materials for crafting. New players shouldn't be concerned with trade. There's far too much shit going on to be bothered with it. In the 10 years I've been playing the game I've spent a total of $40. Stash tab sales open up some QoL but acting like this game is unplayable because you can't keep Mathil amounts of crap in your stash is disingenuous.
@DCam-b5z you're "new"... like how far you into the game even? I was talking about approaching the end of endgame, where you juggle a million maps, currencies from hundreds of leagues, fragments etc. You would need to constantly liquidate everything at once via trading to even keep semblance of space and doing that cuts down on your playtime so drastically, you'll never get anything done regarding consecutive mapping or bossing. Like I said... there is no problem for "new" players, it's "free to try out", but as soon as you get into the meat of what actually is the game, it is absolutely impossible to play without immense gameplay disruptions and downtime. And that's not even speaking about SSF, where you can't liquidate stuff at all and you probably can't collect anything at all in a proper manner.
I've spent $80~ total on PoE since first starting back in Harbinger League. I spent $60 on a supporter pack because I saw it was actually a really good value (you get $60 worth of points to spend in the shop for other stuff like tabs or other cosmetics ON TOP of getting a sick custom armor set and portal). Since then I spent $20 on some extra tabs and that's it. Considering the game has given me hundreds (probably thousands) of hours of enjoyment for FREE I think $60-80 (the same price as AAA games nowadays) is totally reasonable and fair.
Great video... As a free2play player its nice to know some different perspectives from other players who played it the same way as mine . At first you become a hoarder but as you learned enough those free stash tab you have is actually perfect, i love inventory management on games like this.. And every league sometines i end up with free space on my stash tabs
I know there is a LOT of stuff in this game, but if there were a few things a new player such as myself must know that will help me ease into the game what would they be? Great vid btw
The more you know, the better, but it's also about going at your own speed. Each league you'll know a bit more. One thing that I see a lot of people doing when they are new is, they hoard so many items in their stash. It's totally fine early on picking up lots of stuff and selling it to vendors for materials, but it's a total waste hoarding items from multiple levels ago. That blue item with a bit of life and that rare item that has 2 resistance stats are worthless if you already have something better on your character. This changes in the endgame though, but that's a different story.
poe didn't have any "booster pack" or whatsoever like diablo. and poe is the only game i don't regret to splurge to have additional tabs or skin. it is the way for me to support the game that gives a lot of content for free for everyone.
"if you build doesn't feel good in blood aqueduct something is probably wrong" there's a few builds who need an item that's like level 60-72 to feel good, and they might not feel great till you have it.
Top Tier Video, didn't think the 24 hour goal was realistic at first, but considering it is character play time and the build you played was top as well, as well as skillful displays in the hardest fights... pretty darn impressive. Regarding goals, you may add Tier 17 clearing for the 5th Map Slot as one people should strife for, as this will still be a thing even in the next league coming soon, and of course clearing the 10 Boss Maven Invitation for the new upcoming 6th Map Device Slot. I honestly feel that having all Map Device Slots unlocked is mandatory in the end game, more so than having all 4 Voidstones (2-3 are enough in many cases, actually)! Other than that, you can also consider unlockign the favored map slots as additional goals, but they are not quite important enough, and obviously doing all this on top in 24 hours is unrealistic for most players :P edit: didn't die 69 times. wasted opportunity.
T17 maps are the pinnacle and should be the goal for veteran players, but I don't think it would have made for a good video beating it in the end. Non-PoE players which I hope watch this video, might be more interested in the boss fights, the music, the voice acting, etc. But maybe I can do a new type of challenge in the future that revolves around T17s 🤔
I spend like $180 on the game. And after 6 years~ sometimes I feel like I'm unfair with GGG people. Its the perfect ARPG of all times IMO. Amazing video!
Short Answer, yes. Long Answer: Stash tabs and the ability to trade helps. But: You need to remember, if you understand how the crafting system works and you use a SSF build and you update your gear, your gem combinations and passive tree as you progress, it should be smooth. You can actually beat the game without spending any money on it. But you need to really intimately understand what you're doing, you can't do it blind like you could when the game launched a decade ago, it is too complex to do that now and currency drops are few and far between after the drop nerf and itemisation rebalance a couple of years ago (the one where divines replaced exalted for trade priority to value).
Im f2p in this game. Every new season i feel like i have a new account and the grind begins. You can enjoy it as a casual player. But dont think you'll have fun straight away . Theres lots of grind.
Bro, you're entertaining as farq! - That stupid Thaum seal - why do you have to go back to act 1 to get it. - 23:59 Bring them to the black whore? - 59:06 Figured maps would start the inventory pressure. Thanks for including this bit. - 1:07:21 So much crazy generousity in this community. Dude tossed me my first mage blood ever in the last league cuz I was one of the last people still selling 5c unveiled items. - 1:17:24 Is Chris Wilson the nerd Dana White? - 1:30:00 It didn't look like you marked the Uber. Reasons? Is it hex immune? I've only fought it twice. - 1:32:20 The hell killed you? - 1:35:25 I mean... there's no way f2p can stash even a fraction of the currency paid player can so there's always going to be a natural ceiling to the fairness. I don't think it would crash the POE real-world economy if they added the basic currency tab to ftp and one public tab. Fun challenge (to watch, not repeat myself lol). Thanks for the journey.
posted at 0:05 you can beat poe as f2p. its just grinbier cuz you cant sell stuff. you can buy from other players which means you can still speed up the process of gearing and tuning your build. the first time i went through the game i did it without any stashes
Call of the Brotherhood was around 4-5c in April in 3.24. Most of these items were low-tier uniques and can be bought for barely anything usually. Glad you enjoyed the video 😊
Not only can you 'beat' poe as a free player, you can be the #1 player on a new league / event to do so. Proven multiple times by a player named 'Aila' who won multiple very competitive races (fastest to 100lvl and others with different objectives) with no premium stash tabs. Sure, it will be very inconvenient, tedious, and require quite an insane discipline, but it was proven possible.
Over the span of 10 years, I've maybe spent a grand total of $60 in this game (for stash tabs) and have done all content numerous times. And NO, you DO NOT require stash tabs to run maps, but they do provide unparalleled QoL and you should be prepared to have an extremely strict loot filter if you don't buy any.
The stashtabs are a Quality of Life feature not Mandatory, here is how you get to T17 maps without any stash tab and trading. 1. Construct a good Build or Copy one from various pages (one that is working without special uniques). 2. Play the build and pick up only stuff you need for your specific build or currency or vendoring. 3. If you are finished with the story part and hitting endgame you should at least have accumulated ~15 chaos orbs or even more if lucky. Buy some items which will max out your resistances before hitting maps while ideally increasing your dps as well. Usually decent rares/uniques can be bought for 1-5 chaos orbs. 4. same as 2. , stack you currency in one stash tab. 5. Buy more improvements from the currency. 6. Keep grinding and not bother with rare/unique drops just vendor and stack more currency, buy item improvements with that currency when hitting a wall. If you think this game is pay 2 win you just are too dumb to read about mechanics and lay out plans.
Always have been on LAN. There was something with the server during that time in April. It is an online game and it has issues sometimes. Can't do much about it.
Some things i've discovered from this video. 1. People think buying tabs will help (It's more of a convenience) 2. Having 2k HP is too low!??? I always play glass cannon so i expect to die in one hit.
While I've only got 1,5k hours in PoE, I've still not sold a single thing (also don't have premium tabs, or map tab, or essence tab), I do usually try to give away stuff before vendoring but with only so many tabs it's extremely rare I get takers. Last league I played I finally managed to get the Feared done (I usually quit way faster once the stash issues get out of hand, and I dare not log into standard ever because that stash situation would be something else). Coincidentally I also very rarely buy items, last league the total number of items purchased was 1, and that wasn't even for the character I did all the stuff with.
Hey, thanks for checking out my short video :^)
It has been quite the journey to get here once again.
Thanks for watching and giving my video a try ♥
EDIT: And we reached over 100.000 views! 😱
Thank you for the support.
The list of public groups was pretty much full of currency sellers
i didnt knew the game and just clicked your video.
now i want to do this as a complete newbie:)
cool video thank you!
It will take you a bit longer than 24 hours, but you'll get there some day 🙏
One step at a time.
Aw, thank you! And godspeed on your next PoE act play through 🙏
I really appreciate this video!
This video made me start playing poe 2 months ago, and i am at the endgame, got my mageblood, and beat all the challenges and uber bosses.
the only game I dont regret paying up
PoE, Warframe and League for me.
Dota 2 as well
After WoW yes?
so fucking true
Dude, I learnt so much lore that I did not know, watching this. With a good laugh in between. Favourite PoE video to date, thanks man!
Aww, thank you so much 😊
If you want more lore, KittenCatNoodle has many videos on lots of leagues and topics - ua-cam.com/users/kittencatnoodle
for the stash size issue: you can make other characters to store your lesser used items, and you can also run 2 accounts at the same time, which means you can effectively have unlimited space (because you can make multiple accounts).
if you're doing a free to play experience, imo the best way is to just run a 2nd instance with one that has your trades setup, just limit it to like 2 fps in the background.
you simply have to trade what you want to trade to your alt account and then list it.
edit: you can also use the acquisition external tool by gerwaric to list your items, it's way easier than through the forums and once it's setup basically works as well or better than premuim tabs (except having to tab to it to make changes, which is a big plus for premium tabs. but it's especially useful for currencies, as you can still use your currency tab to craft with right click while listing them) it also allows listing items offline, in remove-only tabs and in your other characters' inventories.
as a free to play player, that sounds like a lot of effort and frustration when they could just... double your f2p stash. What does it cost them?
I wanted to say THANK YOU for cropping your ultrawide monitor to 16:9
You are a gentleman and a scholar
You're welcome 😊
I think 21:9 looks amazing in some games, like Starfield if you have the monitor.
But to actually enjoy a video on a regular monitor/phone, 16:9 can't be beaten.
Here is some behind the scenes info, the biggest mistake I have made in this video was to record it in 21:9 and not 16:9 to begin with. It made editing quite difficult or even impossible 😅
Can't make it perfect I guess.
buying my first premium stash tab is like paying for a dlc which enables me to actually play the trade league.
That is a good point, but you get the content for free in PoE. DLCs are giving you content. So technically, you pay for content in other games, which you don't need to do in PoE. Of course, more updates led to many more items which you want to store, but at some point you don't need more stash tabs, because you don't even fill most of them.
It's also fractions of the price ... and u csn also trade in trade chat ... acting like u paid 40 dollars for 1 tab is ridiculously uneducated
- www.pathofexile.com/shop/category/stash-tabs
To be fair though, that is far from what I would want to buy to feel comfortable in the game when it comes to storing stuff.
Dont think you read his comment correctly, he was taking a jab at OP for acting like he spent 40@DanielTheExiled
20:33 reaction had me in stitches lol It's EXACTLY what my reaction was hahaha! You got a Sub here 👍
The "ignoring siosa in act 3" really resonated with me lmao
Amazing video! Nicely structured and very entertaining :)
inssanely good content man. you did a nice job, both playing and editing... lol

What a great video, I hope it gains more traction
Aww, thank you! 😊
Next PoE-Challenge => "the noob"
Free to play, no external tools, no build guide, no loot filter, no vendor recipes ... nothing someone who is new wouldn't know
good luck
If you are curious from somebody who did that, I didn't really know how the game worked, so after beating Kitava in act 5, I considered the game beaten and was satisfied to move on, I briefly tried act 6, but that was far too difficult and I didn't feel like going through the acts again in a NG+
A year later a friend had played it who told me about maps, so I rolled up a new character and rocked through the campaign with crit fireball... and arc... and frost bolt... and zombies lmao. But like 20k dps, 2k life and 1k energy shield does not make for a pleasant mapping experience!
I did that back in harvest league, and I quit the game at act 6, I was playing eartshatter skill
extra story: Only came back to PoE in ultimatum league, I beat the acts with the help of a build guide for bladefall/bladeblast, got to level 93, cleared most stuff and quit again
Came back for good back in curcible, I did everything you can do in PoE and been playing every league ever since
I do this normally. But I also don't get far because arpgs like poe and diablo don't hold my attention that long. so i can get away with just making some random jank build and just have fun while it has my attention.
@@Xinderkan haha brought a self cast discharge build up to t12 back in the days, total noob but discharge used to be good (yeah it was clunky as fuck)
I played 1100 hours before I bought any stash tabs, and the $20 I spent on currency+map+1premium tab on sale from the First Blood Pack are more than enough that I cannot imagine wanting more.
A huge part of gitting gud at PoE is learning what to not bother picking up.
True! Picking up everything takes way too long and isn't worth it 😅
thats impressive with 4+3 tabs , cant emagine anymore how it was witthout to play without all the others even its only max 1 year ago i started playing, but however the pay(cost)/playtime ratio is even with all affinity tabs and some premium and quad tabs waaaaaaaaayyy higher than in many many many ... other games ^^
I have like 120 quad tabs 😂. I love grabbing garbage, I'm a loot hoarder

comment for the algorithem! one of the best video's about poe ive seen so far! (5500 hours played) earned a sub!
I did that. And when I found, I`m over 200 hours in the game, I bought supporter pack. Still a noob in the game, but I`m enjoying it :D
@@lanmandragoran8337 mate, turtle hideout... Fan of Terry Pratchett? :D
Amazing video, loved the silly jokes, the gameplay and explanations for newbies. Showing the possibilities for trade league gameplay (cool stuff for lucky drops and currency)
Thank you so much 😊
One note on the completed map thing.
One of the few content creators that I'm suprised doesn't have more subs.
Aww, thank you 😊
When the game first came out you could stretch those first four tabs a lot further.
This video is so good it makes me want to play the game
That seems a bit boring for a video, because the fun part are the bosses, not just running the 200th map and saying "i got a divine... cool." 😅
Either way, thank you for taking the time to comment.
Love the humour. Love the template. Love the editing. Love the video!❤️
I love how your narrated summary of the campaign is almost as long as Havoc's whole run.
True 😅
dam brother 901 subs and counting with a 126k views video well done man keep it up, as per youtube subs are broken and pointless to most, you should be closer to 100k when things are working better :)
Even trade itself isn't behind a pay wall, thankfully 😅
good shit m'dude, underrated channel
Nice stuff man, really enjoyed the endgame part
What a great video, thank you for sharing that experience! Makes me remember 2016, when me and my friends was fighting for vendor trash uniques... Anyway, like and sub, amazing work!
Thank you for the nice words 😊
Hope you and your friends jump into PoE 2 in November during Early Access.
Gotta get those vendor trash uniques 😤
It was really fun to watch! Nice one!
1:30:1 Agreed, Kamil is doing gods work!
Dont give much on the hater! Great Storytelling - was very fun to watch. And there is nothing wrong to claim its a struggle w/o currency tab ect! Bc it is :)
Keep up the good Work.
Edit: great mathil joke!!!!! :D
I like the aspect of this game but my big problem with it is I'm on console and trying to read anything is a nightmare as writing is so small when sitting back from TV a bit but great video glad to be your 800th sub
You could ask on the PoE subreddit or in the forums, if others have had that issue and/or how they solved it.

“Ohh nooo a free to play account, this is the first guy that has done this in history, is not like the 70% of players are free to play”
Very helpful and informative. Good job sir
The sheer amount of items in this game kept me from ever getting past act 1. I really love the gameplay and progression but I couldn't get an item filter to work properly on console. I'm excited to play POE 2 and hope the item economy is more manageable.
Im veteran and that was fun to watch ❤

imo poe is a game that worths your money to throw,no cashgrab no p2w no bullshit moderation of the game, great community
tho im saying this i was heavily no stash tab player before i would just make mule alts for stashing currency etc.. after that 1.5 ish hours mark i really did start to feel i need stash tabs
sure now GGG REALLY wants you to buy them tabs yeah also aggressive about it if you ask me with all that new currency and shards but again i really feel like its money well spent
Yeah no
Free to try is destiny 2.
@@newax_productions2069 it's kinda winrar model + pay what you want, but you do usually want at least the currency and map tabs and a premium tab.
Considering the game has given me hundreds (probably thousands) of hours of enjoyment for FREE I think $60-80 (the same price as AAA games nowadays) is totally reasonable and fair.
u deserve at least 300k sub

Aww, thank you!😊
To be fair, I have been making a lot of videos across multiple channels the past 10 years.

Great video...
As a free2play player its nice to know some different perspectives from other players who played it the same way as mine .
At first you become a hoarder but as you learned enough those free stash tab you have is actually perfect,
i love inventory management on games like this.. And every league sometines i end up with free space on my stash tabs
Had to check the chapters to see if you "Beat" as in finished chapter 10 or "Beat" as in... well done sir.
😊🙏
"if you build doesn't feel good in blood aqueduct something is probably wrong"
there's a few builds who need an item that's like level 60-72 to feel good, and they might not feel great till you have it.
Other than that, you can also consider unlockign the favored map slots as additional goals, but they are not quite important enough, and obviously doing all this on top in 24 hours is unrealistic for most players :P
edit: didn't die 69 times. wasted opportunity.
This is pure gold
the dynamic resolution bit broke me lmao..those time when I dont have a good enough PC to play POE..good old days..
I'm sure you'll get a good enough PC again some day to play PoE. In the meantime, maybe you got a console you can play it on 🙏
great video man
It isn't really pay2win but it's true that premium tabs and map/essence/currency tabs matters a lot, they make things a 1000 times less frustrating
It's pay for convenience
Great video !
That Game is really God-tier, all money invested was worth it.
One of the rare games I'm willfully buying some cosmetics to support the devs
I spend like $180 on the game. And after 6 years~ sometimes I feel like I'm unfair with GGG people. Its the perfect ARPG of all times IMO. Amazing video!
there's no beating the game in POE when it's an endless grind.
Sirus is still to this day, my favorite boss

you can beat poe as f2p. its just grinbier cuz you cant sell stuff. you can buy from other players which means you can still speed up the process of gearing and tuning your build.
the first time i went through the game i did it without any stashes
I think Yeena turns into a salamander, not a fox, since you see her crawl along the wall in the spider queen's chambers
Nice one! Im at t5 maps in 24hs
Step by step 🙏
nice vid. shoutout to steve
🙏
"Not this time" while Call of the Brotherhood is in the nameless seer "shop" anyways it's a nice video, really enjoying it
Call of the Brotherhood was around 4-5c in April in 3.24. Most of these items were low-tier uniques and can be bought for barely anything usually.
Glad you enjoyed the video 😊
@@DanielTheExiled Oh it was that cheap at that point? Sorry about that then. But the vid slapped hard, I enjoyed it very much
I Played PoE free to play for 5 years before i buy tabs. there is PoE acquisitions which was my best buddy for those years.
listing items on the forums is how we did it in the days before trade websites existed
Indeed... a pain 😅
But selling most stuff that isn't an item wasn't that bad as mentioned in the conclusion at the end.
New player here, thanks!!
Not only can you 'beat' poe as a free player, you can be the #1 player on a new league / event to do so. Proven multiple times by a player named 'Aila' who won multiple very competitive races (fastest to 100lvl and others with different objectives) with no premium stash tabs. Sure, it will be very inconvenient, tedious, and require quite an insane discipline, but it was proven possible.
tbh when racing is kinda when you need the tabs the least, cause you're not trading a lot.
i never played the game but i loved watching this and you made me a laugh heres a sub and a comment :D
you can find which map has the bonus objective on the atlas directly, though a pair of icons on the map item itself would be great.
Over the span of 10 years, I've maybe spent a grand total of $60 in this game (for stash tabs) and have done all content numerous times.
And NO, you DO NOT require stash tabs to run maps, but they do provide unparalleled QoL and you should be prepared to have an extremely strict loot filter if you don't buy any.
just tonight when i logged in to mess with stuff, steve himself hit like 62k depth or something, maniac
Steve is an absolute giga chad 🙏
As a ssf player this challenge is really easy. Next time try to limit yourself to 0 stash-tabs. That's way more of a challenge.
Two suggestions maybe - get connected via LAN cable, if not already. Check other server/gateway if you have options :D
Always have been on LAN. There was something with the server during that time in April. It is an online game and it has issues sometimes. Can't do much about it.
I just started! My goats are playing this way 😅
Godspeed fellow Exile 🙏
@DanielTheExiled got to maps and got bored was fun tho. Did ya check out my goats? 🐐🎃🐐
Wait, four? When I started, they only gave you three! You could start a guild for three extras.
Great video!!
Some things i've discovered from this video.
1. People think buying tabs will help (It's more of a convenience)
