    An idea: maybe you can show before and after of sounds from the bike?
    It'd be satisfying to hear all kinds of rattle and slooshing, then in the next shot - silence, freehub and perfect shifting :)

    Externally not much difference before and after BUT the things u sorted out and rectified are going to make it a totally new riding experience. I can imagine the big smile as the rider tries on the bike. Just gonna feel smoother, faster and sweeter on the ride.🎉

    • @Bikespeeds
      @Bikespeeds  Рік тому

      Absolutely, it was night and day. The rattles are all solved so the bike should feel sturdy as now. The rider had also been riding without using the front brake we’ve since found out which is mega dicey! Thanks for all the kind words 🧡

    Its interesting how much copper grease you use on bikes, most mechanics stick to general grease for most parts of the bike.

    Hey Bikespeed!!
    Can you maybe talk through your process/steps you follow when mounting a front derailleur(cable) in your next video. I have been battling with getting mine shifting right, and I dont understand how you seem to just screw it on and then add the cable. Seems like some kind of dark magic to me! I have been fiddling with limit screws and cable tension just to get it into the big ring and I still dont think its right. I am based in Germany, if I was in the UK you would have seen my bike long ago!! ;)
    Great videos, been watching for a while!!!

Without the bike in front of us it’s impossible to advice you unfortunately so if you’re still struggling our best advice is to get it to your local bike shop. Best of luck!🧡

    • @Bikespeeds

      That's only when bikes are sold. My 2 bikes in the UK are the other way round because that's the way they are in where one drives on the other side of the road. Given the number of times I've had to hit the brakes instinctively hard coz some toe rag has just pulled out in front of me or cut me off in the UK is not inconsiderable and I don't want to go head over the bars into whatever... I ride most of the year on the right hand side of the road so rear brake is on the right. I've had our local bike shop in the Isle of Man swap my wife's hydraulic brakes to the EU sides - no problem.
