So basically... Me warrior Spirit Cloth...mine? Big smartypants hit stick... mine? Which means... All armor... is warrior armor... And all weapons... are warrior weapons?
Another thing that can reduce the recovery time is just hamstring kiting with a big slow 2h weapon. You keep your target slowed down at all times, and you only engage it when your attack timer is up. So instead of taking damage every 2.0 sec (normal attack timer for mobs), it will be whatever your weapon speed is (which should be about 3.5 or higher). Basically it reduces all incoming melee damage by about 40%. Not bad, huh?
Why would it increase combat time when you cannot attack during that period? Spending your rage on Heroic Strike over Hamstring isn't much of an increase to killing speed. HS sucks imo.
Sam Laflamme I looked at the database and the axe you'll talking about doesn't exist is vanilla. and if your talking about the axe the SFK that things a green in vanilla and is worst the staff.
Its better than the staff cuz of the shadows damage proc. And even more powerfull if you are an orc. But yea its bind when equipped, if you can't have it, the staff is the best choice !!
That's cool but that's a rare drop off of random mobs in Sfk you will most likely never find it and if it's on the AH it's always going for a lot of gold like 30-40g because it's a twink weapon.
hey, so I took a lot of influence from this video and am implementing it into my WoW Classic warrior leveling. I'm only 19, but I just crunched some numbers, and with 603hp, and 51 spirit, I was regenerating my health at 39 health per second. Likewise, without my spirit gear/buffs, my hp dropped to 523, my spirit to 27, and my hps to 20.667. So with my gear/buffs I was getting .76 hps per spirit, and without .74. This is nearly double what you were getting on private servers, and with considerably less spirit. It is worth noting that the scale seems much lower. I will report back in later as I acquire more data
Also, use Troll's blood potions (so you generate health in combat) and most importantly: get Minor speed enchant on boots asap. I'd wager that if you're questing, you actually spend *more* time running than fighting. Minor speed is +8% run speed, meaning for every hour of running you save ~5 minutes, adding up to ~2 hours per 24 hours. Not only that, but it also reduces risk of dying, since mobs run at 110%, and you can run away from other players in pvp. It's a must-have for leveling, especially melee classes.
I got 2 pieces of "speed gear" on my fire mage which give me 8% movement speed and it feels awesome. I wish there was more passive movement speed mechanics so you could basicaly build a scout from TF2.
Ok... where do you plan on getting all the gold for this crap on top of needing to save up for your mount? Warriors aren't exactly good at farming enemies; the time it takes to earn that extra gold could have simply been applied to staying the course anyway. Unless you are talking sending gold from a main or something.
Hey Mizoto, what do you think about using that overpower spec, and switching to a juicy 2 hander whenever the mob dodges for extra huge overpower crits?
I've done it before. I havnt done a whole lot of testing to find out exactly how effective it is. But its probably a good thing to do. as long as you switch the weapons fast enough so you dont lose your overpower.
We need more guides like this on UA-cam right now. Just wanted to take a minute and let you know how much I enjoyed this video. The hints of humor were appreciated but more than anything just making original content that’s not just rehashed material from other UA-camrs is great.
Thanks for saying this. My channel is kind of weird in that there's a huge amount of subs for the Harry Potter and Star Wars vids but I really enjoy making wow vids too. So I'm probably going to do it on some kind of rotation.
I remember when I was a real youngin and I was leveling a warrior in the days of Classic WoW. I swore up and down it made sense, that the staff as a reward from Gnomer was a good warrior weapon. And yet my cousins told me I was an idiot. Thank you, after all these years, for proving me right!
that was my main fear with this video. now im going to have warriors taking staves away from my caster alts in dungeons. omg i didnt see that gear switch haha.
Mizoto so you want people to waste a talent change just to have staves over proper weapons? You realize every time you change talents, it gets more and more expensive. Just play warrior as intended and save your gold.
Drew Dizzi why would they talent change? There's no talent that will increase benefit from Spirit. And weapon type really doesn't come into play until lvl 30 arms spec.
I usually run a troll warrior. Focusing mainly on spirit with enchants and gear, staffs etc. instant hp back after a fight, and as a troll 10 percent hp reg in combat. really good for leveling. No eating no downtime.
And intellect increases your chance to gain weapon skills, meaning more hit % with melee and ranged weapons and switching to a new weapon type isn't as time consuming. So all warriors should really be rolling on int/spirit cloth if they want the best leveling experience.
"When you're leveling you don't have any +hit" Jesus, I'd totally forgotten about hit. And weapon skill points! Oh my god. It's so easy to forget how painful life was back then.
hey. not sure if this is going to work like it did in vanilla.... but if it does, dual wielding and focusing on overpowers, I used to use a slick weapon switch macro that would instantly switch to my 2h weapon and then I'd overpower. there was no gcd on switching weapons back then. it was really effective for killing anything if you're looking for overpower spams. I think the macro was just use(first 2 bag slots) and I'd keep my 2her there and nothing in the other bag slot. then it would drop both equipped weapons into first 2 bag slots and then hitting it again would obviously equip your d/w or sword and shield whatever you're using.
Ah this takes me back to my first warrior i used of the whale gear while leveling because spirit increased health regen and i figured lower downtime means faster leveling. Good to see it brought back to light with classic coming out. Never did the 2h staff before but you make a good point with weapon end dps.
does str not also increase the hit of warrior abilities? so you avoiding using them would that not make your study more favourable towards spirit then it would be otherwise?
DON'T TAKE RESURGENCE ROD FROM THE MARA QUEST!!! Yes Its damage is decent but one of the alternative rewards is Thrash Blade which is the best 1 handed weapon in the game at its level. Its even competitive at level 60. Thrash blade is always the reward I take.
What you didnt take in mind is, armor loss using spirit gear. Id assume that would make some impact on how much recovery you would need after each fight. Items that dont have armor I could see the point in having spirit on.
Reminds me of my days leveling a mage and having prolonged fights against a warrior that would swap out to a different set of gear to bandage OOC. I remember thinking that was a fantastic idea, but I never adopted it while leveling my own warrior, mostly because I'm too lazy to actually collect the gear. Good times. I remember somebody figured out they could use a low level priest with spirit enchants and buff to survive fatigue damage in order to get to GM island. It's not surprising that spirit isn't useless OOC.
@vanyadolly - they have +5 skill in swords and maces in vanilla. Humans actually have the best racials for pure dps because they have higher chances to hit which means less glancing blows and better white damage. Some people will argue that orcs bloodfury is the better dps racial, but Humans will always do more damage than orcs with the same exact gear simply because they will hit more than orcs. For melee in vanilla, Hit rating is the most important stat because for warrior and rogue you will be dual wielding and any % increase in hit is a direct damage increase. also there are a lot more epic swords and maces compared to axes at max level, so the orc +5 axe skill doesn't really matter too much.
Did my first warrior in 8 days without spirit (which may or may not be blizzlike), just make sure you always have 2-3 stacks of food. IMO putting spirit gear in your inventory leveling and itemrack swapping could lead to less gold generation and/or heading to town more often because of bag space. I'll agree about the staffs though. And please, hamstring your murlocs sub 20%
Yea, i was being noob with those murlocs. It was my first time logging on in a few months and i was half watching an asmongold stream haha. Im not suggesting having a spirit set, and a str set in your bags. the point of that section of the video is just to show that spirit isnt as useless as people seem to think, and to consider gear with spirit instead of throwing it away out of hand. good food can get expensive
Word, and you're also right about DW sucking past 40 - for orc there's a viable low level items but they usually involve the AH(2 nice blue axes and the blue helm with +axes), so I don't advise them personally unless Warrior will be your 2nd or 3rd 60 and you can gold burn/twink level. I'd also suggest going Fury until you have enough points to get 2/2 impale.
One slight issue to take into consideration with the spirit build is that because retail classic is going to be on the modern client there's a chance addons like outfitter won't work on it. Depending for how long this lasts experienced players may still want to go with strength. Especially if leaving combat is going to be wonky. After all, the moment you enter combat spirit does nothing. Then again it's an interesting bit of theorycrafting that can certainly be put into use.
Leveling a warrior is the closest you will get to WORLD OF WAR CRAFT There's a WORLD you travel on foot no speed ups until mount at lvl 40. You play a WARrior!! You *have* to CRAFT food, bandaids, armor, weapons, sharpening stones, potions, bars.
i was hesitant about saying anything absolute how leveling in cloth gear was turning out to be effective. i learned about it while making the video and im afraid to make any statements on it haha its like.... the numbers are saying its effective but.... its cloth lol
I've actually played warriors since vanilla, I've done just about everything in wow and my leveling speeds raised more than a few eyebrows, so I'll add my own stamp of approval to most of this. The spirit thing might be iffy but I agree it isn't a useless stat. One thing I'll add is stick to lower level mobs (and therefore quests) if possible. 2-3 levels below is optimal. This reduces your chance to miss/dodge/parry and the lower health pools speed up the killing more than the slightly reduced experience will penalize you. It is worth changing zones to keep quests and mobs at this level. After your starting zone switching between the various zones of your level range is worth the time investment to travel there. Good vid!
about spirit. once i tested it once. got full spirit gear and wear it always when i need to ron for ~5-10 sec between mobs... was pretty good but too much micromanagement so i still prefer bandages. kill few mobs. bandage yourself for 5 sec. repeat till you 60 xD
download cartographer addon it will show you levels of locations so... pick any you like and go there. you anyway should be in almost all of them except few if you have enough exp like... desolace deadwind path and searing gorge usualy skipped.
@@Jajalaatmaar If it wasn't so long ago I could give you a zone order. I never documented anything though and it's all kind of fuzzy now. Going to have to figure it out all over again next summer.
One time I ran out of food while leveling my warrior in STV, so I would use bandages and build a basic campfire for the slight spirit buff because I wanted to finish my quest before heading to a vendor, I started carrying a few pieces of spirit gear after that and would switch to it while out of combat. The staff thing and dual wielding before lvl 30 I've never thought of, thanks for the great info!
Good video, another tips is 100% uptime on Enrage, if you have the talent. When you pull a mob, when it is about to hit you press X to make your character sit down, so the mob crits you-- Then you get the Enrage buff, whenever it drops out, just sit down again and let the mob crit you again to have 100% uptime on the talent.
if nothing else hopefully people take away from this video that there are different ways to play and stat your character, as long as your understand and think about the impact different gear can be situationally viable. good vid!
I used a staff while leveling my warrior back in vanilla. Only one I used was for when I had to do underwater quests and I got one that allowed me to breathe underwater for STV quests
I told quite a few people back in vanilla that spirit really isn't that bad for a warrior as they get a bonus to health regen compared to most other classes. people just looked at me as if I was growing a gnome sized cancer on my face
The start of the video got me xD Thumb up! This vid reminds me what my brother once said. He bought shoes for female, just because they where "lined" shoes. Nothing else differs from that male version. So the seller told him that he is going to buy the female version. He replied (hope it is right translated):"Yes, I know. But to wear female shoes won't happen to drop off my balls." Could shit bricks nowadays if remembering this story :D. Keep up doing such nice videos and have fun doing it!
No problem, I still think the humor and effort you put in you Videos is worth watching. (even if I don't get why you would want to play as a Muscular Ork, fighting with a slow battleax to begin with xD )
the blizzlike server with 10 k population based on nostalrius core (improved) is starting in 5 days (northdale) get yourself to expirience vanilla close to what retail vanilla was like Lights hope vanilla wow
After your video came out, staves on Light's Hope Northdale server went from normally priced, to now a level 10 staff sells for 1 to 3 gold! As you go up in level, the prices get even crazier
This is great, thank you. I rolled a warrior and only warriors in TBC and later on a private classic server, and plan to again when it comes out again. RUAAA!
【Light Head Finns】I am a leveling a dwarf female arms PVP only warrior, i am the Warrior of Liberation. Hello Best Warrior .D Nice to have a honest video :D Thanks for the info! PS: you have a beautiful "idiot warrior" voice :D
I think it is only to compare a quest item to a weapon with a 20% chance to drop in a dungeon. They have similar dps but obviously the wound thing makes the difference.
Fellow vanilla warrior main reporting in. I disagree wholeheartedly on the DW before 40, 2h after 40. I fully believe that the reverse is true. However, I never considered that things like spirit reduce leveling time more than strength. Good video m9. Will keep it in mind.
Back when I played original WOW. My first toon was a warrior. I was in Arathi Highlands and another warrior i met explained all this Spirit stuff to me.
"Strength increases DPS, which kills mobs faster and reduces the damage you take, reducing recovery time." "To test this, I made sure to kill mobs with only white damage and no abilities -- which make up the majority of warrior dps, and which strength improves -- maximizing not only how long it takes to kill mobs, but also how long it takes to recover -- the best case scenario for spirit, and the worst case scenario for strength, and completely divorced from what grinding mobs actually looks like." TL;DR + real tips: use the highest dps weapons available, kite mobs to reduce recovery time, str/agi and str/spirit while leveling as long as you can survive what you're fighting, and if you're really up for it, maintain a spirit item swap macro for ooc recovery.
I like this vid. I always argued how difficult leveling with warrior class is. I'm glad you pointed out how useful spirit is. A lot of people don't know that :D Good vid
NO, DON'T SHARE MY SECRET! I always carry around a full set of spirit gear. Just putting it on regs more health than sitting down to eat. Now that we're at it: I also try to get a full set of int gear, just so I can level up weapon skills.
I always try to go dual weild/overpower spec with warrior. It's so much more fun to play than having to wait 3.8 seconds for a swing only for it to miss and leave you with no rage.
I played a warrior in BC that was a hybrid Prot/Fury spec. It was amazing for leveling and/or farming, the recovery time was virtually nothing. I wore mostly tank gear but dual-wielded fury weapons; I wasn't killing as fast as I could, but I hardly took any damage so I could go through 20+ mobs before I had to stop and eat. One time a rogue tried to gank me while I was farming. But because of my spec I had enough talents to stunlock him to death.
This video has so many issues but I want to talk about the staff recommendation at the beginning. This point is a bit worthless without some actual examples. The one example you do give is the Rod of Resurgence, but you fail to mention that it's the result of a quest where your other option (Thrash Blade) is one of the best pre-raid weapons in the game. A better example (which you didn't mention) is the Crescent Staff. Most warriors run WC just to get this weapon since it lasts so long, yet you act like you're the only person to have ever equipped a staff as a Warrior. But beyond the Crescent Staff, and the Rod of Resurgence which is honestly just bad advice, which staffs are you recommending a warrior go out of their way to obtain?
You completely missed the point he was making. He didn't say to prioritize staves over other weapons, he said to prioritize higher weapon DPS over strength and agility, even if it's a staff, since the effect it has on the overall DPS is minimal. He only used staves as an example to emphasize with the shock of a warrior prioritizing using a staff over an axe.
The problem with Spirit armor is that it is frequently cloth, which makes you take more damage in combat, thus countering any benefit from having higher recovery stats.
@Thelondonbadger i mean only if your intent as a warrior is to just let everyone fuck you... actually buy Free action potions and use engineering and you realise warriors are a lot better at low level. I find it particularly funny you say shamans though, i always found them free for a warrio
I leveled quite a few warriors in the times of Vanilla-LK both retail and private servers and though you have unusual teqhinques i quite like how you came to use this playstyle of yours nice video +1
The amusing thing is I actually did that very thing back in vanilla on my warrior. And I leveled him quite quickly. And yes, there were dudes in my guild saying I was stupid and it should be strength strength strength. I remember there being spirit on the original Valor gear.
The only reason I became so good at Warcraft (top ranked raid dps for many years) was leveling a warrior in Vanilla (also a rogue in BC, but mostly warrior).
The problem with the staves strat, if i undestand vanilla correctly, is that you would be leveling your weapon skill with these instead of axes or swords. So whenever you get a new weapon that it's better than your staff, you're going to have to go somewhere and level up your other weapon skills to use the better weapon.
Resurgence Rod is a sweet quest reward and it does have some nice damage and for sure take it if u dont have anything better, but you forgot to mention that Thrash Blade is also one of the quest rewards which is like HoJ(chance on hit to get extra attack)and also a great if not better choice. Still a great video, well put together.
the real problem is: everything on every yt video are facts tested on any private servers...and noone can say for sure that's how it really is on the original classic servers. someone made the source codes for all the used private servers and filled out the unknown data. there is no guarantee that spirit will stack for example.
TheZackzable This is true and I really hope that Classic will be different from the private servers we have today, because then people will be again not sure how the game actually works and thus closer to a genuine vanilla wow experience for all
So basically...
Me warrior
Spirit Cloth...mine?
Big smartypants hit stick... mine?
Which means...
All armor... is warrior armor...
And all weapons... are warrior weapons?
You understood this video better than anyone
hes saying this isnt pvp just use whatever to cheat the game and keep smashing.. even if ur not toping dps u will still role through mobs
Vanilla 2006 - HUNTER WEAPON!!11
Vanilla 2018 - WARRIOR WEAPON!!!11
The only notable exception to this rule are the wands.
That's the very single thing warriors can't equip. Everything else is up for grabs.
wands and intellect are still bad
having health regen out of combat also allows you to retain more rage, which is a compound effect to help you do more damage each pull
Legends say he's still jumping off the zeppelin tower in undercity.
who isnt?
In underpanties
Besides agility spirit was always my favorite stat. Just the idea of regening faster than the damage you take or spend mana just makes me super happy
Pretty sure only trolls recover HP in combat.
Another awesome tip :)
even though you have a point, that sounds royally tedious to keep doing xd
As if the normal process of mob killing isn't tedious? If anything, it adds more diversity.
Doesn't that increase combat time though?
Why would it increase combat time when you cannot attack during that period? Spending your rage on Heroic Strike over Hamstring isn't much of an increase to killing speed. HS sucks imo.
loved the little freakout moments haha. hilarious. nice video, very informative!
wtf since when do you play wow
Finally somebody else who noice how crazy good that staff from WC was.
It is, but you can get an axe that is better like 1 or 2 lvl after getting this staff ! If you are playing an orc ofc
Sam Laflamme I looked at the database and the axe you'll talking about doesn't exist is vanilla. and if your talking about the axe the SFK that things a green in vanilla and is worst the staff.

Staves*
One slight issue to take into consideration with the spirit build is that because retail classic is going to be on the modern client there's a chance addons like outfitter won't work on it. Depending for how long this lasts experienced players may still want to go with strength. Especially if leaving combat is going to be wonky. After all, the moment you enter combat spirit does nothing. Then again it's an interesting bit of theorycrafting that can certainly be put into use.
Leveling a warrior is the closest you will get to WORLD OF WAR CRAFT
There's a WORLD you travel on foot no speed ups until mount at lvl 40.
You play a WARrior!!
You *have* to CRAFT food, bandaids, armor, weapons, sharpening stones, potions, bars.
wrong
no u
try a rogue
Pffft they can vanish, sprint, cc spam
Never leveled a warrior to 60 pre bc.
Couldnt find the patients.for.it
Where's the "using Crescent staff for way too long" squad? The other day I met a fellow warrior still running with it AT LEVEL 35!!
cloth warrior new meta
i was hesitant about saying anything absolute how leveling in cloth gear was turning out to be effective. i learned about it while making the video and im afraid to make any statements on it haha its like.... the numbers are saying its effective but.... its cloth lol
Wouldn't there be some shammy mail & paly plate with spirit on it? I think I recall that.
Florian bades it was always meta for leveling
And hunters used int/spirit (just sometimes, it's not endgame meta m'kay?) for mana regen.
Int warriors used to be a thing to level weapon skills.
And they want to be a "SWIFTY NOOB PWNER FURY DUAL WIELD, WHY THE HELL ARE YOU TRYIN YEAH" hahahahahaha
staves deal damage, and spirit does what it does?
amazing. who woulda thunk it?
Do you have a list of leveling zones to follow somewhere and at what level? For horde?
download cartographer addon it will show you levels of locations so... pick any you like and go there. you anyway should be in almost all of them except few if you have enough exp like... desolace deadwind path and searing gorge usualy skipped.
Good advice. Maybe it was from leveling warrior but I also quickly learned to target slightly lower level content.
@@Jajalaatmaar If it wasn't so long ago I could give you a zone order. I never documented anything though and it's all kind of fuzzy now. Going to have to figure it out all over again next summer.
I keep coming back to this video for 1:06
for the most obnoxious part?
i wanted to turn off the video at that part
boy you think thats mad? haha call me when your mother stops spanking you
Absolutely womp'd.
I want every comment section on all of my videos to be exactly like the replies were on this comment.
One time I ran out of food while leveling my warrior in STV, so I would use bandages and build a basic campfire for the slight spirit buff because I wanted to finish my quest before heading to a vendor, I started carrying a few pieces of spirit gear after that and would switch to it while out of combat.
The staff thing and dual wielding before lvl 30 I've never thought of, thanks for the great info!
assembling my staff list right now. ALMOST GO TIME
Good video, another tips is 100% uptime on Enrage, if you have the talent. When you pull a mob, when it is about to hit you press X to make your character sit down, so the mob crits you-- Then you get the Enrage buff, whenever it drops out, just sit down again and let the mob crit you again to have 100% uptime on the talent.
I really don't want to take staffs from casters.
You're a big warrior you push those clothies outa the way for them big damage staves
Casters use wands
The sound effect @ 1:19 makes the whole thing. Nice job with the edits =) +1
BIG ARMS BIG SWORD TASTE THE BLADE OF MY STEEL
That was suprisingly fun, i was expecting some boring stat thingy.. good job!
if nothing else hopefully people take away from this video that there are different ways to play and stat your character, as long as your understand and think about the impact different gear can be situationally viable. good vid!
Anger Management is incredible for leveling, the tooltip is incomplete and it also generates 1 rage/3 seconds.
13:18 to summarise the video
1:36 SOAD - Aerials nice.
im sure i said this before but thank god someone els knows this even if a staff who cares if its plus 100 damage its better then plus 4 str or agil
I used a staff while leveling my warrior back in vanilla. Only one I used was for when I had to do underwater quests and I got one that allowed me to breathe underwater for STV quests
I told quite a few people back in vanilla that spirit really isn't that bad for a warrior as they get a bonus to health regen compared to most other classes.
people just looked at me as if I was growing a gnome sized cancer on my face
dude you have a really unique style of video, good shit. subbed
“Everything is a warrior weapon.”
“What? This staff just has mp5-“
*Everything*
The start of the video got me xD Thumb up! This vid reminds me what my brother once said. He bought shoes for female, just because they where "lined" shoes. Nothing else differs from that male version. So the seller told him that he is going to buy the female version. He replied (hope it is right translated):"Yes, I know. But to wear female shoes won't happen to drop off my balls." Could shit bricks nowadays if remembering this story :D. Keep up doing such nice videos and have fun doing it!
Hey! I never played WoW... But I'm still here! ....I don't really understand anything though.
well thanks for showing up, someone in a previous video asked me to make another wow video in the comment section and i said i would.
No problem, I still think the humor and effort you put in you Videos is worth watching. (even if I don't get why you would want to play as a Muscular Ork, fighting with a slow battleax to begin with xD )
Watch the Battle for Azeroth cinematic
the blizzlike server with 10 k population based on nostalrius core (improved) is starting in 5 days (northdale) get yourself to expirience vanilla close to what retail vanilla was like Lights hope vanilla wow
the basic conclusion is
roll on preist gear
After your video came out, staves on Light's Hope Northdale server went from normally priced, to now a level 10 staff sells for 1 to 3 gold! As you go up in level, the prices get even crazier
why so many dislikes? he obviously put a lot of effort into making this.
This is great, thank you. I rolled a warrior and only warriors in TBC and later on a private classic server, and plan to again when it comes out again. RUAAA!
lmfao nice mix of comedy and really important stuff. hillarious.
Lmfao this shit like at 13:18 made me laugh so hard. You go from so calm and calculated and crunching numbers to that and then back instantly, lmao.
Spirit gear is called having a friend who heals for the warrior.
【Light Head Finns】I am a leveling a dwarf female arms PVP only warrior, i am the Warrior of Liberation. Hello Best Warrior .D Nice to have a honest video :D Thanks for the info! PS: you have a beautiful "idiot warrior" voice :D
Hey, remember when I had eardrums?
3:40 bruh you just picked a staff over what is like second bis pre-raid for fury that's what's crazy.
just continued watching, and you recommend duel wielding. you won't get any fury with duel wielding.
Seleckt
The Chad warrior
The virgin healbot
27% chance to miss is a good reason never to DW while leveling
Sword of Omen + Vanquisher Sword combo is such love though
Everyone uses the Trash Blade on release once Maraudon is open. At least until they can get ahold of the almighty ARCANITE REAPER!
Back when I played original WOW. My first toon was a warrior. I was in Arathi Highlands and another warrior i met explained all this Spirit stuff to me.
Still gonna dual wield because maintaining two separate weapon skills for tanking and for soloing is too much of a pain in the ass.
cmon man, dont lie.... its really because you want to be like swifty ;)
Well.... who doesn't?
Mizoto WHY THE HELL ARE YOU TRYING?
really easy to maintain wep skill if you carry a sword and shield with you to interrupt casters and maximize dps with 2h
2h warriors trying to tank 1h shield with no 1h weapon skills are going to have a bad time.
"Strength increases DPS, which kills mobs faster and reduces the damage you take, reducing recovery time."
"To test this, I made sure to kill mobs with only white damage and no abilities -- which make up the majority of warrior dps, and which strength improves -- maximizing not only how long it takes to kill mobs, but also how long it takes to recover -- the best case scenario for spirit, and the worst case scenario for strength, and completely divorced from what grinding mobs actually looks like."
TL;DR + real tips: use the highest dps weapons available, kite mobs to reduce recovery time, str/agi and str/spirit while leveling as long as you can survive what you're fighting, and if you're really up for it, maintain a spirit item swap macro for ooc recovery.
Ahh I see you're a man of culture as well. Lol Thank you for your TL;DR
Troll's get racial skill with "+10% hp regen" AND recovery while in combat! making troll warriors beasts at questing!
I've been using stalves to level... Every warrior guide I've seen recommends using any good staffs you find.
well then gear of the Boar would be perfect for leveling it has spirit and strength
I like this vid. I always argued how difficult leveling with warrior class is. I'm glad you pointed out how useful spirit is. A lot of people don't know that :D Good vid
Sorry about the volume. sounded fine while editing.
i find Dw pre 36 lvl better cof of many overpower procs and better rage regen
Mizoto troll
i agree but it really depends on the weapons
NO, DON'T SHARE MY SECRET!
I always carry around a full set of spirit gear. Just putting it on regs more health than sitting down to eat.
Now that we're at it: I also try to get a full set of int gear, just so I can level up weapon skills.
2 minutes and 25 seconds in, and this video changed my god damn life. wow
Your explosion rant montages in this video made me laugh out loud at 7 am lol pretty funny
Warrior in cloth gear on pvp server = fresh meat.
But on the other hand, if you're eating you are fresh meat anyway.
Hahah i love you dude
WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TRYYYYIIING ~ ~
All you gotta do is auto attack 3 or 4 mobs once you get a new weapon and you're fine.
Taste the blade of my steel!!1
thanks for the info, I found this very useful, especially about the staffs - I have always completely overlooked the possibility of using staffs!
So level in mage gear to level faster as a warrior? Vanilla, how broken you were
Always a ton of warriors till mid 20s where the avg scrub leaves for "greener" pastures.
Thrash implies you're using 2 1handers... which is unanimously a no-go leveling a warrior.
@@Rave.- Yes but Thrash blade is a nice weapon even at 60, and as i understant it isnt replaced until you get something like the Dal'Rend weapons
At 60, when you have +hit, you can DW. Otherwise it's a dps loss.
One thing to note about getting a staff at lvl 45 is the tedious weapon skill grind before you manage to get any benefit out of the weapon.
GIVE HIM YOUR MONEEEEEY!
Glad to see I wasnt the only one who discovered the "Dual wield Arms" spec that's extremely viable pre-40.
Very strong.
the strengthiest
Your entire bit about weapon speed: If you're not weaving Slams, oh my god what are you doing with your life...
Good video
Shit volume
yea, after working on the video for 25ish hours I was like .." screw it, no one is gunna see this anyway". now its biting me in the ass.
the real problem is: everything on every yt video are facts tested on any private servers...and noone can say for sure that's how it really is on the original classic servers. someone made the source codes for all the used private servers and filled out the unknown data.
there is no guarantee that spirit will stack for example.
TheZackzable This is true and I really hope that Classic will be different from the private servers we have today, because then people will be again not sure how the game actually works and thus closer to a genuine vanilla wow experience for all
