Always good to know what other classes are going to do, what they're thinking, what their abilities are, and what their strats are to better counter them.
bro this is the light in the dark path, ive been playing warr from 2019 classic and have been waiting for the arms pvp guide for so long. The resources that are around are so scattered and so few. This really hits it home for all the pvp arms warr the ultimate guide.thx so much
What’s crazy is you could probably make a video like this for more than a few classes. I give props retrowow but homie you’re a true wow polymath. Just finished the video, loved it.
Some advanced strat for beating mages: You can easily turn the kiting game of mages (the vast bad majority of them at least) into your favour sometimes by actutally playing along and not chase but just run away from them when you are not slowed at the moment of your intercept (turn off auto attack to not trigger Frost Armor). Mage will always blink your intercept. If you just run straight away from the mage with no slow, they often time fail to connect a cast in time before you can run out of combat. With some good timing you can turn around right before you would drop combat to get back into range for a charge. Mage now has no blink which usually instantly forces a block. It sounds kind of complicated but with some practice you can pull this off fairly consistently. This also works well with a full stamina gear setup as it forces the mages to use more blinks without actually connecting dmg which results in mana problems on their end fairly often.
Great video, I've always told people warrior was the hardest class to play in wow classic pvp. We are the only class that has absolutely no tools, we have to outsource nearly everything. If you are losing to a warrior in pvp as a non warrior, its simply because they either have better gear or they are probably better than you.
thanks for the bit at 47:27, I really needed to see a warrior use Shield Wall and switch to 2-handed to prove how this works to a certain private sever staff. and this is indeed very big for warrior 1v2 situations!
You can use a Frost Reflector for his traps btw, especially when doing the first intercept, they'll scatter trap you so you can preemptively use Reflector. Or save it up for later if the hunter already knows what you're doing.
Insane video. Very well done, very thorough but never over the top. To the point, direct guidance. Every class duel was kept neat and compact but insightful. Great work.
@@psyonicpanda nope most of the people you encounter in open world are passive. Most of the ganks are 4v1s or end game geared pple farming greenies. His experience as a fresh 60 war in wpvp will be utter dogshit.

warlock duel vs warrior will use void, sac immediately off the charge (which an honorable warlock in a duel will LET you get so as to not be accused of "cheesing" the charge" but if they do chesse it you will never have the chance to shout it) and deny you rage, force intercept > coil and win 9/10 games. you didnt "oops forget" im pulling your card.
Undead is what I prefer as a horde compared to orc. I have no concern to get feared as I play when needing to switch in battle stance whether for sweeping strikes use or simply for damage mitigation when getting focused and thus overall versatility without wasting my berserker rage, cancelling as well charm, mind control priest/helmet, sleep powder, cannibalism plus bandage for fast full Regen. I also prefer 15 agi to gloves compared to your 7 str. I chose to play more bursty so I'm using 4 points in improved battle shout which gives me like 100 extra AP, instead of blood craze which is often diminished by other warriors MS or orc's blood fury racial. The strong antivenom version is also enough for dispelling PvP poisons and It's stack 20 instead of 5, you don't need the strongest and rarest one there. About using shield wall then switch to 2-hander while keeping the buff, this is a bug. Doesn't apply at all on the server I play (buff disappears) and I read posts which say the buff is supposed to vanish as soon as you don't meet the requirement which is to wear a shield. About saying spaming rend for generating overpower procs, this is also true for spaming hamstring in zerk stance hoping that your target dodges it when you cannot allow yourself to expose yourself to a gouge for too long in other stances. Overall It's a very good PvP warrior guide you posted but as a player who's played this class for about 15 years in vanilla warrior PvP, I don't fully agree with some few of your statements there. But hey good job anyway!
Dartols rod of transformation, from raenes cleansing quest in ashenvale, dont turn the last part in. That rod used to be able to get you out of mages polymorph. Havent checked if it still works but was a pretty handy pvp item back in the day
What a treat! Executus is back and with a guide on my go-to class. Even if I will probably no longer pvp... I am currently off of the game but always like to watch some videos. You are definetely my favourite warrior by far. Why? I relate very much to your plays. You go through stuff and try new skills not so easy to come accross. Very cool and fun to be able to understand your thoughts process. The gameplay is really enjoyable. Even learned new stuff while I thought I mastered my class! Waiting for HC I guess...
Love your videos ! I want to play warrior now ^^ I learn so much from your chanel since 3 years with vanilla PvP. Will you made this style of videos for other classes? I would love to see a hunter tutorial like this because this is my main class Thank you for your work! 💪
Good summary. One thing that wasn't mentioned; there's an amulet from ZG activities (Rage of Mugamba) that reduces hamstring rage cost by 2 (the other stats are also fine for PvP). Coupled with the PVP gloves, you could bring hamstring rage cost to mere 5, so maybe something to consider for those fights where you use the ability more than usual (such as the shaman fight). By the way; in the paladin duel, if you could afford the rage, wouldn't sweeping strikes also been a good option, as soon as you saw the summoned peasants?
one more tip i learned from my r14 grind vs mage, after nova‘d, you can run(most likely w/ slow effect) in the opposite direction and try to squeeze out your charge cd from out of the battle if the mage trying to cast a max rank FB. more charge reset vs mage = higher kill chance. But in the end, the good mages will use their max range intterupt to force war into combat. ❤
Your best guide and possibly the best warrior guide for Classic I've seen. Good job! RACE: Gnome racial is huge. However, it would be more valuable to horde than alliance, given no BoF. It can also be mitigated with FAP to some extent. Spider belt and also helps negate the need a bit. Gnome racial isn't gonna swing the matchup vs a good and decently geared mage either, nor hunter or any other matchup. It will make non-organized PvP less miserable however. I do enjoy NE since I think Shadowmeld is quite strong but I see your argument for Gnome being the only "acceptable" race for PvP. On horde side however, orc only "acceptable" race for PvP? Hell no. Great for organized group engagements, such as WSG premade. Otherwise just "ok". Warstomp is that clutch interrupt that can save your butt from getting polied or squeeze in that Sweeping Strikes WW. The Warstomp DR doesn't matter much just like mace spec isn't an issue, you want the interrupt and it's not much of a factor in actual play. The added range on Tauren is useful whe doing wreckingball AoE plays in PvP too. WOTF allows you to stay in battle stance when charging which is strong for group play, it also gives you a chance vs succubi warlocks as well as vs tryhard druid flagrunners using sand. Being able to break fear twice is immensely helpful in the priest matchup too. I don't think there's a clear winner but I lean towards Forsaken for best warrior race. But yes, this is a controversial pick. GEARING: Typically the recommendation goes sword for PvP or "depends on which weapon you have" (Consensus largely goes something like Arcanite Reaper < OEB / TUF < BRE / Ashkandi / Rank 14 < Dark Edge of Insanity / Ashbringer < MoM). Crit from axe spec doesn't scale off your crit which goes up as you get better gear. It scales with deep wounds and your yellow hits with impale. Your extra sword hits can proc off from abilities like hamstring (if you crit a hamstring big whoop) and can crit giving you a much higher burst potential than axes. Crits can also give opponents benefits, such as reckoning procs and healing effects. So what exactly is your argument for Sword spec because deep wounds and impale seems like a weak argument? MACROS: Similarly I use few macros. It just leads to misplays. One I do use is a stance swap macro with charge or intercept that casts hamstring or disarm if in range. Haven't found any real downside with this macro. Theoretically I guess I could end up charging a target I don't want to if I swap stance with a target selected. POTIONS: I guess you like farming gold.
Ashbringer is not really good for PvP, you lose 600-700 health pre-buffs compared to MoM or Rank14 or Ashkandi, which is huge. Orc is way better than Undead, not even close, if you eat fears as a warrior you are missplaying, and the seduction is super situational.
@@fmls8266 Seduction and dusts. Also if you charge into a pack and want to Sweeping strikes that's at least 1s before u can swap stance. Undead doesn't have this issue. In war vs war duels can also stay in combat or defensive without worrying about fear. Vs a strong priest you also can end up getting feared as the fight very well may go past 30 sec. As for Ashbringer a war already has a fairly large hp buffer and as long as you get 2 procs you're back on top. One will almost do it if you count the swing factor. Wars rarely outlast their opponent, it's mostly about burst or lose and with sword proc and the proc effect it has higher burst potential.
Now this is the type of warrior content people are looking for. I already took priest to rank 14 in vanilla and druid to rank 12 in classic but now It's time to start the warrior and take control of the mid field. Now decide to go heavy RP race choice or minmax. I think you're under estimating how good Trolls can be for many melee matchups and UD are fun af to play with cannibalize (any extra healing self healing is amazing) and not having to be in berserker to deal with fear. Orc stun resist is straight up broken though lol, the amount of times I've had blackouts and pounce/bash be resisted is obscene. Gnome is clearly the best for the bad match ups like frost mage and getting stuck in entrapment procs but stoneform lets you straight up dumpster rogues because they can't bleed kite you or 2nd blind you and prevents them from taking AB flags. Warriors should always go with the highest HP they can manage while keeping good stats, glass cannon styled warrriors are a waste of team slot and healers hate you because your gameplay is dependent on them.
Executus, I Really love your work since 2019 but I have a little critique concerning the duels: 1) you duel with a flask mate… 2) you duel only once with very helpful CDs (f.e doom off hand) I would like to see normal duels or at least 3 duels, so we can see how you try beat someone in casual situations Greetings
It was PTR, everyone was flasked and had the same gear. I didn't want this video to be more than an hour long so only included what to do. This is more of a guide not a duel video, I already have that on my channel!
Hey mate, thanks for responding! I’ll watch the other duel videos, thank you for your amazing work. Like I said, I’m watching you for a long time now, I learned a lot from you
Hi exe, thx for the great vids bruh, I have a question, at what point did you switch to preferring fury in pvp over arms? Many of your vids are arms warrior but then you went R14 fury DW in classic. Can we really do without MS debuff? Thx
Try the macro of startattack + hamstring + charge as well as startattack + hamstring + intercept ive always used this macro together because you charge if out of range, you hamstring if close in range....they really go well together to reduce buttons/keybinds. Because you will never charge when close in range, and you will never hamstring when out of range.....its that simple
i will watch this and im not even playing warrior

Gnome is clearly the best for the bad match ups like frost mage and getting stuck in entrapment procs but stoneform lets you straight up dumpster rogues because they can't bleed kite you or 2nd blind you and prevents them from taking AB flags.
Warriors should always go with the highest HP they can manage while keeping good stats, glass cannon styled warrriors are a waste of team slot and healers hate you because your gameplay is dependent on them.
Executus, I Really love your work since 2019 but I have a little critique concerning the duels:
1) you duel with a flask mate…
2) you duel only once with very helpful CDs (f.e doom off hand)
I would like to see normal duels or at least 3 duels, so we can see how you try beat someone in casual situations
Greetings
It was PTR, everyone was flasked and had the same gear. I didn't want this video to be more than an hour long so only included what to do. This is more of a guide not a duel video, I already have that on my channel!
Hey mate, thanks for responding!
I’ll watch the other duel videos, thank you for your amazing work.
Like I said, I’m watching you for a long time now, I learned a lot from you
Thanks for the Vid Executus, do you think Escape Artist > Hardiness?
Yes, better against almost every single class
Hi exe, thx for the great vids bruh, I have a question, at what point did you switch to preferring fury in pvp over arms? Many of your vids are arms warrior but then you went R14 fury DW in classic. Can we really do without MS debuff? Thx
thank you man good vide
im starting to play wow today i hope to become as good as you
Enjoy!!! Overtime you will only getting better!
Try the macro of startattack + hamstring + charge
as well as startattack + hamstring + intercept
ive always used this macro together because you charge if out of range, you hamstring if close in range....they really go well together to reduce buttons/keybinds. Because you will never charge when close in range, and you will never hamstring when out of range.....its that simple
Man, Simply Thx a lot. Your video is really Great.
If I can Ask just one thing : what are your bind to swap Between your warrior stance ?
Thank you
Thank you!!!
Shift-A - Battle Stance or A for Attack
Shift-S - Berserker Stance
Shift-D - Defensive Stance
