i never liked aero cab bunks, or condos, any integrated sleeper. Up to 94 really, separate cab and sleeper, solid cab and bunk mounts. Air seat and an old school walking beam suspension. The best feel for the road and traction, on and off road. Kw 8 bag walking beam is the only other one i really loved. I guess im a tradionalist, but i drove a lot of cool trucks from the 70's 80's and 90's. 2005 was my last one, nothing but electrical problems with the heater, all that electronic garbage was a solution to a problem that never existed. I only drive an all factory 85 c20 chevy now, with a quadrajet carb, zero electronic, zero problems and 16 mpg.
Yea. This new electronic stuff isn’t always what it’s cracked up to be !!!! Someday I wanna own one of those old chevys. Except an 84 model. That’s my birth year
We all complain about emissions stuff but maybe it's a good thing. Without all that craziness would people be saving all of these older gems? I feel like they would still be sitting outback in the weeds. Maybe I'm wrong but it's good to see trucks like this getting a new lease on life. Thanks Justin
hey Justin, you're correct that that type of bunk was used in the 90s but that modular was still used in T660s with flat top/mid roof but mostly in Mexico
Hey Justin, that 95 Kenworth project is going to be cool! love the giant picture of the Kenworth on your office wall!!!!! I am really interested in the calendar for 2024!!!!!! let us know when they are ready!!!!!! be safe hunting1!
Justin, no doubt you'll have her standing tall in no time!! first class at flint creek transport!! also i hauled grain out of marquart bros about 5 years ago, don't think your too far from them!!!
Great video! Whatever happened to the 74’ with the 36” Aero you pulled out the woods? We would love to see a custom Flint Creek Transport build using that bunk & cab?
@@heaveymelt That bunk looked maroon & bigger than a 36” to me. I could be wrong but I thought the 74’ a model in the woods was black. Also I believe the bunk he is pointing at is a mid 90’s bunk from what he said.
You should have a friendly competition with Mr Troy Massy . I'm sure you're familiar with the channel but if not he's got a yard full of pretty swaggy looking trucks. Of course he's a Peterbilt guy
How far are you willing to go to buy a project truck? I was driving around in my area about a month ago and I noticed a W900L sitting in someone's yard and I noticed someone pulling out of the property and I talked to them about the truck. It's a 1999 W900L powered by 3406e 600hp 15.8L engine and a 18 speed transmission. The truck has 375k on the odometer and it's been parked since 2003 when it was wrecked. The truck was T boned on the driver side front fender and it broke the axle, radiator, intercooler and the hood is destroyed and the front frame rails are probably pushed 18" towards the passenger side. Other than thats it's a perfect truck with no damage to the engine. It has a 48" flat top bunk with a big hole, its single frame with 40k rears and the wheelbase looks to be somewhere in the range of 255"-265". The owner held onto it with the intention of putting it back in the road but with California emissions standards it's pointless. The owner threw out the number of $15,000 to buy it which seems like a decent deal for someone who has some parts and wants to rebuild a truck
Justin I know there is an older I’m just like the one you pulled out of the woods. While back it looks to be in good shape it’s been sitting for at least the last 5 plus years, it’s on 34 heading north I could get the exact location if you would like repaly here and I’ll shoot you the location I do have your number from last year when we talked
@@flintcreektransport 👍 i dream of taking one of those & converting it to flattop for a lil more room . the 60" is the longest factory flattop bunk & i talked to my local KW dealership & can get the 60" flattop roof cap & im thinking i'd just cut it in half right in the center & stretch it to fit on a longer bunk
@flintcreektransport I wish I had a few months to spare . I'm just trying to get what I owe on it man the market is shit and I'm going broke. So I'm going to drive a company truck for someone else. 120k is what I owe on it, and it will sell or get filed on. I love your channel, man. Has platinum overhaul 165k ago new ac front to back with evaporates new air compressor new fan hub new air to air new radiator new condenser full fenders. It's on my channel you can see it 295 wheel base
@@flintcreektransport 🤔 that's about $7K per truck. Not bad for multidriver operation. I'm paying $5K/yr in full insurance MC with $250K cargo... But I'm very vigilant with zero loss runs in 7yrs. Kiddos in you, coz I can't imagine how you keep it clean with 30+ drivers 👍🏾
Congratulations to Tyler on a job well done. Is there a weight or other strategy for you to use the L models? Or is it just for bragging rights? In any event, thanks for the videos, always something thought provoking there. Take care and happy holidays.
When you get done, this truck is going to be awesome, great potential!!
That KW is not rough at all. I can't wait to see it rebuilt. I just bought a nice Remington pump shot gun. Happy Thanksgiving 🦃 tomorrow!
Looks like air ride on the front axle?? Sitting low even with no motor. Great videos. K. W. All the way.
Yes

I just bought a 1994 flat glass Detroit. Needs fiberglass work on the hood . You scored good on that one . Hood looks new and dash is all there 👍
That is a very nice bunk, let it stay.

Sure send it over ….
When you talk about insurance, is it just vehicle or business and property?
Workman’s comp, general liability and auto liability
Those front tires supposed to be that high under the fender? tires gotta rub
It has air ride on it
Antlers Justin, not horns . Lolo hahaha 😆 let get older 4 1/2 to 5 1/2 years old. Keep us updated on the project truck.
🤣
I havent checked in for a while, what happened with that tiny areo bunk you bought?
Still have it. Didn’t start on it yet …..
hey what length is that earodyne 2 bunk & are you planning to keep it or sell it ?
I think a 72 I will eventually sell it but not for another year to we figure out what we need

This truck will be nice as long as you do not put a lump of red under the hood.
True
Captive insurance, u say? How many trucks you got? Im a single truck MC and dont think i can get to your big boy level
35. It’s goes by the premium size ….

Hm... It starts or not...?!
Why dump that bunk, it's cool?
Wait till u see the aero 1 😜
How much is a truck with no engine cost or worth?
Depends on the yr, rears, etc
Lots of variables. Depends on what shape it’s in and how valuable the parts are to you
Congratulations to Tyler on a job well done. Is there a weight or other strategy for you to use the L models? Or is it just for bragging rights? In any event, thanks for the videos, always something thought provoking there. Take care and happy holidays.
Very good question …… the 900L is a very common model …. I can’t find t800 gliders very few if any …. Easier to work on ….. and bragging rights too
Hey Justin - are you currently accepting partnerships at this time? -Brandon
Depending on what it is
I bet that new truck you just bought gets good gas mileage😊 lol
Haha
Come on ..build a western star ..enuff with the ugly KWs..😂😂
Haha
