You always seem to have the best attitude regarding this stuff. Tough pill to swallow for any truck owner. Best of luck. If drop the shop engine in it!!
You never know, catastrophic failure can happen to any engine at anytime. Take it to Cleveland Brothers Cat in Milesburg PA and get a real engine !!! They are the best !!! Talk to Doug.
Sucks it went down. I have never had good luck with Cummins engines of any type. Not a fan. Detroit or Cat for me. Hope you get it back on the road soon!
I agree with you 100% about the cat engines. I suppose you know about the "new content" Cat engine that's available . You can even trade in your Cummins for a core on a Cat engine the same year or newer then your core engine. I believe even with a hole in the block.
Here Kitty Kitty, They're just more fun to be around, It is time, say with enough horse power (as Rolls-Royce would say) just to make the heads turn as she rolls by. Now no more winning ,push it in the and back her out with the rumble.Need a report in 3 days , carry on. She's going to shine now.
Hey Justin! Best of luck with the truck. I think I remember the video when you first got it. Cummins living up to there reputation. God Bless and Peace Out...
Hole in the side ,threw a rod . Repair if u want . I’d install the Cat . A part failure is always a possibility . Like flipping a coin , u didn’t get this far by crying but by doin . Justin have a good one !
Hey, imma tell Durrel that you are going through his tool box!😂 seriously though an engine window is never a good day. I'm a Detroit guy but I'll say put a yellow one in if that's what you have the most of. Less different parts to keep in stock
That's sad. I would like to see you swap the Detroit for the Cummins. I think you'll really be surprised at the difference in fuel economy with Detroit over the Cat.
@@scottberry5266 that’s odd??? My neighbor has bought two in the last year and he had no problems with them maybe he went to a different company? They give a 6 month warranty oh well I tried to help you
@@Thedropshopkustoms : yeah, I have no idea. I’ve seen some place in Miami area advertising those prices I think it’s j j engine rebuilders. Pretty hard to build one for that price and use quality parts. Idk, perhaps.
@@scottberry5266 the dealer I saw I think was in the Daytona area they are used engines that they test and run . Tons of people were swapping Cats into emissions trucks. The guys in Oregon that were making the conversion harness finally got in trouble recently. Best thing to do is leave the def tank and stickers to try to play dumb.
They dont call em cummaparts for nothin....N14 needs rods and mains at 400,000... as long as that hole is in-between a web you can fix it without taking the engine out if you know a good welder
Sorry to hear about your truck Josh we all can agree that it’s not the end of the world and that sometimes bad things happen to Godly people. Josh I have faith in you knowing that God has your best interest at hand 🖐️. Josh make a video of your truck getting repaired for me. May God bless you and your entire family and friends.
I saw a video at Mats a guy was talking one of the reps at the Cat booth and according to him they will take a competitors engine in for core even with a hole in the block.
@@flintcreektransport That's great too bad about the hole in the block but I'm sure you can handle it. Love the videos and the trucks I'm retired and really enjoy them also the reference to Christ god bless you brother.
A yellow motor with a def tank? At least it was a pete and not a volvo And a Cummings with an inspection port in the side of the block, never😂😂😂😂. Pretty sure thats why all the x15s ive run are rev limited to 1700 rpm. My c13 cat, she likes to scream all day like a 60 series detroit.
Cat do reman program ,,,, trade any cummins ,detroit for Cat and legal. Pull the engine repower, repin the appriote plugs and wiring to suit, your good to go :)
You know the peterbilt always has to tow in the lower class kenworth 🤣🤣 go with the cat then it'll pay for itself in no time. Sorry for luck but like you said it could've been worse. Thanks for sharing Justin 👍 happy trails
@@flintcreektransport he gotta wake up lol. I used to be the biggest 379 fan. They’re great trucks, but the W900l models give you everything! Interior is not even close. man i feel bad for ya , it can happen to any engine , i always kinda liked those N14s but im a Cat guy so i'd put a Cat in it but everybody needs to do whats best for them
Sharp truck shame the engine puked. Hope you can get it back on the road right away. I think you could trade that cummins in to CAT for credit right now on a new CAT engine.
So do you like the Detroit 12.7 ? I’m buying a w900 triaxle with one but I don’t know much about them other then what google told me 😂. I’ve always been a CAT guy mostly.
Nothing wrong with a 60 series, Cats in my opinion have lost there reliability cat literally puts used parts in platinum kits now.. the N-14 is basically a electronic big cam that’s a tried and proven engine platform not like it’s a x-15
Couldn't have happened to a nicer person this is just another example you don't know what to expect when you buy used the truck will look better with a yellow engine in it anyway.
Rebuild & Gett back ROLLIN!!!!! STILL BETTER than an Def Engine any day!!!!!!!
The cost of doing business. It’s trucking. I love your attitude. More owners need your attitude. You are the gold standard. Thanks for the videos.
Thanks 👍
That engine with the hole still has value, it can be used as a core for a new Cat.
that is right ,,,,, repower to cat :)
Sorry to hear that the Cummins isn’t working out so good ! Swap a cat into it and it should run for years to come …. Nice ride !
14:35 Look at that a Peterbilt pulling a Kenworth. Always picking up the slack. 😂😂😂😂😂

You also should look into assembled titles on the newer trucks, you do not have to follow emissions anymore.

Rebuild Justin be better than new ! Keep the faith 🙏🏻
Yellow motor trumps red motor any day!😁😁😁😁
A typical M14 my brother only thing they're good for is boat anchors
It was running good, except for the whole in the block! 😂 It’s like when the cow died and the farmers said she never did that before.
Also you can use that cummins as a core for a new content cat engine
No not the new green truck
Really enjoy Chanel wish we had truck owners out like you hauling oil in Texas man of good morals
Thanks 👍
Seen one of your grey kenworths look like the one at beginning of video in pa on interstate 81 near mahanoy city exit

That's a beautiful truck. Going to look better with a yellow motor. 😺
I prefer the yellow engines myself but a series 60 set at 500hp is a decent powerplant

I see the problem, Baldwin filters and engine brake. That always brake engines 😢
Do you have over the Road positions? Are you looking for a team drivers for your company?
No teams …… but potentially a driver. Fill out a application on our website

Well that sucks when you put a window in the block. Been there done that. Worst feeling ever. 🙏
Snatch it out and put a yellow motor in it. You should have done that when you got it! 😊
Good luck to Flint Creek transport

I am a Detroit kind of guy. Just swap it and keep the wheels turning.
I would go detroit. I would swap my 6nz for a 600 ho 12.7 Detroit
1:29 Is the color green? 👍
Yes. Forest green
don't even elaborate justin, yellow motor, hopefully a 2ws, !!!
I own 2 pete gliders justin both yellow motors, 5ek, 2ws can't go wrong!!
Great combination !!!
No new junk def no good!
Get another block those a good motors
It's needs a cat ...I like the 2ws cats..nice kenworth still...
Put a 6nz550 hp cat in my truck and that would make me happy! A dealer in Florida has several for $13500 with a 6 month warranty that’s hard to beat…

No
Put a yellow engine in it....can't go wrong with caterpillar yellow....
It could be worse, it could be hooked to a Volvo. 😂 Now is a good time to swap that Cummins for a Cat.
Let's get at er! Wouldn't be my first one or two 👍🇨🇦
Is that a isx motor??
No n14
N14
Did you ever decide if you were selling the red Pete or did you sell it
The 379 short hood sold. I still have a 2007 I might be selling.

Disheartening for sure. I would be glad to take it off your hands if you'd like to donate it to me !

Cat or DD is fine

Got burnt
O 4got to say this a sad but great video
That don't look like a Cummins
Put a 575 1850 TQ HK60 14.0 Detroit in it 😮
I have a 6ts cat 😉
Swap the engine out or rebuild it
Keep the Cummins 😢
Go yellow
Put the CAT in it...too strong of a W9 not to...Come-On !
I see a cat coming
It's a tractor only tow why would you tow it from the front ???
That’s what happens when you’re not meticulous with your maintenance especially preventive
Detroit is a lot cheaper to work on.
True
Switch it out for a cat apparently cat is building new engines now
Burn the n14 and drop a 12.7 Detroit in it or a cat 6nz
Replace that Cummins with a Cat.
