Jimmy speaking for Asians everywhere: “I saw videos of Gordon Ramsay stir-frying and I was APPALLED by this white man using olive oil to stir-fry.” I cannot tell you how many “Asian” recipes I’ve seen (from white people) who use olive oil and I’m like, we DO NOT use olive oil in Asian cookery!
Olive oil doesn't stand high temperature (especially extra virgin kind) which often goes against the golden rule of stir frying-hot and quick. Besides olive oil have a very distinctive odours, which is just weird when pairing with Asian cuisine.
Jimmy is really cooking by himself every day, I could tell from his kitchen, not like some youtube influencers KOL in Cooking/Food: their stove, pan, sources are brand new everything is super clean, which is only for shooting video, not for daily use.
Thanks for keeping it real and simple Jimmy O! Appreciate how the kitchen looks like a real household’s and not an overly clean or staged kitchen! It makes me actually want to cook.
I watched two Jimmy cooking videos and they really motivated me to cook more than those professional chefs videos. The ingredients are simple and familiar man, I love it
Damn, Jimmy. My first video of you cooking and you got balls, bro. The stove is a little dirty, and using pots and pans that are oil-stained or burnt a little - you bold. Props to you man. People these days gotta make everything looking all new and never touched like "B-, you can't afford any of this" type of vibe, but you da real MVP. Keep going! Looks delicious!

Pad see ew. Sweet sauce with thick noodles. Yummmm Love it tho the real way it's prepared. Not the Bernard way all jacked up with spicy chiles and thin noodles.
Well yeah. If I knew this dude was wasting his time with a Not Hot Dog app instead of cooking some bomb ass asian food, I'd be pissed too! Although that Not Hot Dog app was low-key great.

jimmy just used the holy trinity of sauces for southeast asian stir fry! fun fact: u can also use those same sauces, sugar, black pepper for chicken wings and carne asada cuts for the grill👍🏽
Made this tonight with prawns, bok choy, carrots, garlic, 1 Serrano chili, egg, and I had white pepper... It was really delicious! Although I seeded my pepper, it was a bit on the spicy side, so I will cut that in half next time. I made two portions, and my husband wants this in the regular rotation. It's one of his favorite dishes when we eat out at Thai restaurants. During quarantine I am trying to learn to cook a wider variety of dishes, and have been focusing on Thai, and Japanese foods because I like them the most so far. Thanks for the lovely recipe! 🥰
Thank you for your voice your humor Yo thank you so much for your videos it’s a huge release for me during this fucking year I love everything you have ever done! But just the reality of your cooking is so calming and satisfying thank you for takeing the time for doing this!
Awesome Jimmy......every Asian kitchen should have those ingredients any day of the week. Its like a White family has butter, mayonaise, bbq sauce, and of course olive oil.
