Gordan you inspire me. I cook for my kids almost everyday. I in turn inspire them, they both want to help me when I cook. One of the best feelings being a dad and cooking for your family.
Beyond my culinary appreciation is my respect for Gordon's capacity to excel in business while remaining central to his children's development. Gordon Ramsey is a 'MAN IN FULL'.
Gordon we'll have to talk about how much a tablespoon is.
😂
Half the bottle
Technically he was either a tablespoon or close to it, because of the closed tip one second of dumping equals 1 oz and he didn’t dump, he just spread it out so it looked like a lot.

I really enjoy his videos. He cooks simply . No “Bam!” No gimmicks, no cockiness. Just cooking. And nothing in the video looks impossible, or intimidating. You come away feeling like you could make these dishes but, we need to talk about that knife and those skills with it. I would have butchered that onion and whacked off part of my finger.
I tried the first recipe and it was delicious and easy to follow. I love the freshness of the tomatoes and green onion at the end. I substituted cilantro for parsley and my family loved it. I will try the meatballs next! Thank you!

- Honey, I'm hungry, can you cook something for me?
- Sure, what do you want?
- Something quick and simple.
- I know just what to do, I've watched a Gordon Ramsay video. Do we have minced meat, garlic, onion, chili peppers, milk, coconut milk, bread crumbs, ginger, lemongrass, coriander seeds, cardamom seeds, turmeric, cinnamon, dry chillis, chicken stock and lime zest?
- I want a divorce, Richard.
Im laughing like one of those tik tok video laughs where its a combo of coughing, choking and struggling while the sandwich pieces im trying to swallow are coming out of my nose
I mean those are actually are relatively common staples to have in your pantry besides the fresh spices and coconut milk, I'm sure you could make an alternative to that or just go out and buyc1 ingredient to make a special meal, but if you actually grocery shop and you don't have basic produce and meats then like what are you even buying?
you forgot the white wine Richard.

Poor Richard
The two recipes I tried so far- sausage rice and meatballs turned out to be so delicious. They are really quick and easy to make. Can’t wait to try them all. Thank you for the amazing recipes. Much love❤
I'd like to do them but veganize them (use vegan version of sausages and hamburger).
I love to watch you cook as I imagine myself making the same amazing dishes.
Doesn't always work out exactly as imagined though....

Thank you Gordon! I’ve made the Sausage and Rice dish about 4 times now ( but without the wine ) and my family just keep requesting it. If you prep all ingredients prior to start it is much quicker and still incredibly easy. The French toast with caramelized apples Yum Yum! Thanks again and the Book is great, love all the tips and can’t wait to cook new things. 😋
I have the book but can't find either of the sausage or meatball dish from this video in the book. Am I being blind? Is it actually there?
Did you use any spices or do you have any tips that he doesnt mention in the video?:-)
how much rice and water do you use?
@Stephen Martin Gordon was using chicken stock yeah but beef stock works fine. It's really up to whether you want it to taste like a stew or soup. Beef stock always has a very distinct stew taste that is hard to mask with seasoning. While chicken stock is really easy to hide and absorbs into rice a lot better.
@@7177faith You don't really want to use water unless the rice is undercooked. The rice is going to cook in the stock. If you use water the rice will be way overcooked or you'll have a super soupy dish
I learn something new every time I watch him cook. He's an amazing Chef.

Hello, Chef!
My son and I watch and love all your shows, especially your "deliciously simple Recipes"
They could be simple for some trained cook who knows how to balance spices in a dish with their measurements. but we are simple funs who enjoy watching and getting inspired by you.
It sure would help a great deal to post some measurements with your recipes.
Merci Chef!
I also would like to point out his use of the Wusthof knives. Incredibly sharps knives that hold an edge. The biggest problem home cooks encounter with their cutlery is a dull knife.

Recipe: Coconut Meatballs
Ingredients:
Onions
Garlic cloves
Olive oil
Salt
Pepper
Minced beef
Dried chili flakes
Bread crumbs
Milk
Coriander seeds
Cardamom seeds
Turmeric
Pinch of cinnamon
Dried chilies
Lemongrass
Fresh ginger
Chicken stock
Coconut milk
Lime zest
Fresh lime juice
Instructions:
Heat a pan over medium heat and sweat off finely chopped onions and sliced garlic in a tablespoon of olive oil.
Season the onions with salt, pepper, and dried chili flakes. Cook for about 2 minutes.
In a mixing bowl, combine minced beef, bread crumbs, and milk.
Mix well until you achieve a slightly doughy texture.
Add the seasoned onions, garlic, and chili to the bowl with the beef mixture. Mix thoroughly with your hands.
Shape the meat mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs, ensuring they are tightly packed.
Wipe the pan used for cooking the onions, but do not wash it to retain the flavor.
Heat the pan over medium heat with a touch of olive oil.
Gently place the meatballs in the pan and cook them until browned on all sides.
In a mortar and pestle, crush coriander seeds and cardamom seeds. Add them to the pan with the meatballs.
Add a pinch of turmeric, cinnamon, dried chilies, smashed lemongrass, and thinly sliced ginger to the pan.
Pour in chicken stock and bring it to a boil. Then, add coconut milk to the pan, ensuring it is just underneath the top of the meatballs.
Check the seasoning and adjust if needed.
Simmer the meatballs gently for 8 to 10 minutes until they are cooked through and tender.
Sprinkle lime zest over the meatballs to add a fresh contrast to the richness.
Squeeze fresh lime juice over the meatballs to enhance the flavors.
Serve the meatballs generously with the coconut broth, tilting the pan to ladle a good amount of the broth onto the plate.
Enjoy these delicious coconut meatballs, which have a modern twist on an old-fashioned recipe. They can also be cooked from frozen.

For those complaining that these recipes aren't simple: it's important to remember that these videos were kinda made for foodies/home cooks, so they're designed under the assumption that the viewer has spices at home, as well as other non-perishable kitchen essentials like breadcrumbs, canned coconut milk, etc. If you're someone who cooks once a month then these recipes will be really expensive because you'll be forced to go out and buy the essentials.
I couldn't believe some of the comments about there being lots of ingredients. The first recipe has 9 ingredients 🤦
Yeah, I don't understand these comments acting like adding a teaspoon of a few extra spices is some Herculaen effort.
I grow my own herbs…. Super satisfying. I sometimes make my own stock, and I more rarely make my own homemade pasta. Limited on time with full time job, but cooking is very enjoyable (at least to me). I enjoy learning tips and techniques from Chef Ramsay.
