    Congratulations on your bold move, my wife Carmen and I and our two youngest kiddos made that bold move from Colorado in 2005 to Playa del Carmen Mexico, we bought a 3 bedroom home 1 kilometer from xcalacoco beach and have never regretted it for one minute, we doubted many times at the beginning but never regretted it… she passed away November of 2018 and left me holding down the fort with our African grey parrot, dogs, and cat… still no regrets, just miss her dearly… may our father in heaven bless y’all abundantly and watch over you and your little ones… 😊👍🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

      Her name is Ruby and she will be 19 this month and she’ll be around long after I’ve gone to the other side of the vail with Carmen 😊 she says hello a lot in Carmen’s voice, we had read an an article in National Geographic a couple of 2-3 years before Carmen decided 😅to invest in a grey 😁 that they could be telepathic 😮😂 a lot of times I really think it’s true, cause when I’m thinking of Carmen she’ll say hello in Carmen’s voice or she’ll say or react to what I’m thinking 💭 lol 😂

      @@missnice4869 Heyy there, I started replying but I think I had a call come through and didn’t finish my response. My son initially went to a private bilingual daycare here and more recently started at a private bilingual elementary school which actually goes all the way to high school. I am happy with both of my choices so far for my son. Within 3 months he was already speaking pretty good Spanish. In case you’re wondering, you can expect to pay 4000-10000 pesos/month for private daycare/school in this area. 10K pesos/month are about the priciest I’ve seen. There are also public schools but I don’t believe they are bilingual.

    Great quality video Paul. I watch the MLD channel and this was nice to see this lovely young couple filmed rather than filming.
    Having made a similar move to Mexico a few years ago, when Canadians became "difficult" to be around, I relate to their journey and wish that I had taken the step when I had a young family! I tried the beach for 6 months but couldn't function mentally with the heat and mosquitoes constantly when outside. The mountains in Mexico are like spring and summer all year round, and I can visit the playa when I can.
    I will say one small piece of advice about eating food here in México. I like tacos as much as they do, but there's a couple of things to be concerned about when eating them regularly, or when eating out in Mexico in general. First seed oils, especially heated, especially fried... DYOR.
    Second, tortillas, corn... It's good they use their own non GMO corn here in Mexico, but, there are chemicals in corn which deplete the body's ability to absorb nutrients... again DYOR...
    And, yes, I know it's the same thing in Canada, but, a lot of restaurants are at least aware of unhealthy processed oils and you can request olive or butter...
    Once those bad oils are in your body, they just cause havoc for decades, they're essentially plastic to our bodies...
    I'm not trying to be a no it all, on the contrary, I simply care about people and especially kids.
    I'm so hoping for their success!!

    I love to hear stories like this, I am Mexican and that's make me feel proud of it. The only one thing I don't like it is that mexican people started to rise the rents bc of forein people living in Mexico :( I can't belive the rent of that apartment is
    $ 22,000 pesos. when I started to watch the video I thought it would be like $ 13,000 or 14,000 pesos!! Oh well! I see everything is getting very expensive. Good luck to everyone 😊 ✌️ in
    addition, I think for Canadians $ 1,700 dls is better than paying around
    $ 3,000 dls rent every month plus utilities

    • @MovingToMexiCo
      @MovingToMexiCo  10 місяців тому +1

      I think your idea of the price for that apartment is more reasonable. You should be proud to be Mexican. Thanks for sharing.
