He is right about the rent here in Las Vegas where I live. Rent in the areas that are bad have increased greatly over the past three years. If you want to rent a nice two bedroom apartment in a better area you are looking at $2,000.00 plus, and they have doubled our electric and gas heating prices.
meh. You can always buy a place outside of Vegas in the middle of nowhere, and it will be quite a bit cheaper and you can still visit Vegas whenever you want. Although you would have to pay the Nevada Tax of having your next door neighbor be a Trump supporter. lol Here in Silicon Valley, a ONE bedroom apartment is well north of 2000. But then, you get to live in the Bay Area. Comes down to what it's worth to you personally. There are lots of cheap places in this world but then you have to live there. 🙂

Beautiful. The home prices in my state are one of the highest nation wide when it comes to percentage of what they were to what they are now. @@exposingextremists7786 gentrification is the natural order of Barrios. Either your Barrio is getting better or getting worse. Everyone benefits from gentrification. There are areas that went from scary as he!! In east Los Angeles Boyle heights area when I was a kid. Hard working people who wanted to buy a house moved there. They kept their houses clean, yards manicured. They got involved in the area. They called cops for crimes and told them information. Bad people got put in jail. Crime went down. More decent people moved in. Property values went up and people who had lived there for 50 years could actually sell their houses and downsize. The only people who "suffered " were the homeless, the junkies and the people who worked under the table for really good money, got section 8 and food stamps, even though they made more than I could as a union electrician. The people who had to rent their houses out to section 8, because nobody would buy the house, finally got either good rent or sold house for decent money. I am mexican, and I have family that lives around those areas. The reason why Queretaro has always been considered "somewhat safe", is because in the 90s, alot of the Cartels family members lived there. Back then (not sure now), there was a golden rule that no one was allowed to touch others family members. This is why Queretaro started having less crime and violence over that period. From what I know, all those familes have moved out since the late 2000s, and now live somewhere else in Mexico. Since then, the crime and violence has started getting worse again in Queretaro every year. I am glad that nothing really bad has happened to you (from what I know) while you have been there!

It's always nice to hear from a happy renter or homeowner. It seems to really work for you. I gave Mexico a chance when I bought an oceanfront condo in Rosarito Beach, Baja California, MX in 2005 for $80k. (That is about a 50 minute drive from the San Diego International Airport.) After 5 years, I sold for $95k and have never gone back, even for a visit. To put it simply -- Hated It.
@@glieseseventen4921 It was for both of those reasons. As an owner, not a renter, this was a secondary residence for me. My primary residence, and my spouse, were in the NYC area. Strictly speaking, MX does not allow property ownership by foreigners along its borders and coastlines. But something very much like foreign ownership is achieved via a special legal provision, a document called a fideicomiso. By its terms, a MX bank is the technical owner of the property, but delegates full use of the property to the foreigner who buys the property according to the terms of the fideicomiso. My condo association was not well managed. There were several ignorant, corrupt gringo board members who seemed to think that down in MX they could just do whatever they wanted. MX law had little or no force. Whenever I went out, I inevitably headed straight for the USA and San Diego. As a guy in my 60s who only visited my place there, I never found anyplace in the Baja where I liked to go other than my condo and its beach access, and I formed no significant relationships with anyone else in the condo or in MX other than my local contractors. (I gut-renovated my condo unit.) Crossing the border from the USA into MX was easy, but crossing back from MX into the USA was usually an hour-long hassle. MX law was at times maddening, even when all I wished to do was observe it and be a good resident there.
@@djkenny1202 I had lived half my life on the California coast before moving to NYC. The oceanfront condo in Rosarito Beach was meant to be a pied de terre on the West coast, and I wondered if I might eventually live there FT. If you only pay $1700 USD roughly for the house, it makes me wonder what an actual apartment or condo costs there. I mean I guess on one hand, you could rent a condo or apartment (if it's under $1000 per month) and have a "second home" in Mexico (if you lived in the US). But given the price that you said you pay per month, this is probably why a lot of people are actually moving to Mexico to retire... it's cheap relatively speaking (compared to the US and Canada). I'd still be a bit skeptical myself of the Mexican government though, although the US government is probably not much better.
I had a studio in Queretaro that was 7,000 pesos a month. About $350. Had a nice big bathroom with vanity mirror and a decent living space which was plenty good for one person. That was a year and a half ago.
Hi, I don’t know what you mean about the Mexican government when in fact, if you move you’ll experience something that other expats are voicing, not a the beginning, but over time you’ll feel more free because you are not over regulated. You want to build a house without the city and inspectors-Marshall’s sticking their nose? Done You want to have a hot dog stand out of your house whenever you want? Done You want to have a rooster and chickens in the back of your house without your neighbor complaint? Your choice That’s only the top of the iceberg of what freedom in Mexico really means.

That's a really beautiful place and great location. Though I've never been, I can see why some people are interested in visiting Vegas, but I don't get the lure of living there, especially if you pay huge rent for a tiny place in a bad part of town.

Is not hot enough in Querétaro?! Maybe there's a plus on living near a golf park with all that oxygen and the material of the walls in that house but I've been living here for 18 years (I originally come from a colder state) and I haven't been able to acclimatising to Querétaro's dry hot weather and the amount of hard sun there is... so I dunno if its because you live near a park but the rest of Querétaro is hoooot.

It is for a house of that size, with those gorgeous features that is on a golf course and lake in a gated community. Here in Florida- and not even one of the most expensive parts of Florida- that same house would easily sell for 2 million or more.
Absolutely beautiful but no one has ever addressed the issue of the water. I was told that drinking water is not good in Mexico. Can you elaborate on that or anyone in the forum.? Thanks so much✨
I would love to live in a lovely house like this one-- but a smaller one. I have never lived in a place that nice. I will retire in a few years. Maybe that will be my opportunity to get upgraded housing in Mexico.
Beautiful home Jordan and so spacious for a large family. I love the peace and quiet of it but it’s a lot of space I may have to visit Querétaro - CDMX is quiet noisy and one of my pets gets scared easily bc of the loud vehicles noise 🥺😣 Thank you for sharing 💗…. Besos a Laska 💗
That home is beautiful! Perfect for a large family, but for you it’s too big. The only part I didn’t care for was that it had gate locks on the front door and windows considering it’s in a gated community. I’ve stayed in nice homes in Mexico that didn’t need those in gated communities. For the price you pay which is still a lot for a even professional Mexican workers, have you considered just buying something there?
I think the bars on the windows and doors here are unnecessary because it’s inside a secure gated community. And I agree, this is too expensive for most working professionals. The only people who can afford a place like this are the highest paid working professionals and business owners. The prices to buy here in Querétaro are generally too high compared to rent prices for me to consider buying. Like this house for example, I'd have to spend $500,000 USD + closing costs, so somewhere around $530,000 and then I'd still have to pay the 5,000 MXN HOA fee every month. For most places here, renting is a much better deal in my opinion.
And that's not even mentioning that most foreigners buying here have to pay cash. I spent all of my money buying Tangerine Travels so I have a lot of saving to do before I can purchase any home let alone a home at this price point.

Gentrifying.. Why don't u guys go to Europe instead
The money Americans bring to Mexico, is substantial. It enriches the areas they live. I lived in the same area in Mexico that my grandparents were from. I taught the kids English, put up a basketball hoop for kids in mi pubelo. I volunteered for numerous neighborhood things (volunteering isn't a big thing in most Latino countries) myself and two other expats and a bunch of current and ex policia started a gun club, so there was a safe place for people to shoot without endangering others.

Why did you hate it? Was it something about the condo or something else?
(I gut-renovated my condo unit.)
Crossing the border from the USA into MX was easy, but crossing back from MX into the USA was usually an hour-long hassle.
MX law was at times maddening, even when all I wished to do was observe it and be a good resident there.

Same I live in dtla and pau 2500 for a loft that's 800 square feet. Ughh

You want to have a rooster and chickens in the back of your house without your neighbor complaint? Your choice
That’s only the top of the iceberg of what freedom in Mexico really means.
Omg I love your home, how did you found it? I am looking to rent first before I commit to buy, moving to Queretaro, bought some land closed to Peña de Bernal, however, I think the city is better for my kids education
I have been giving a lot of thought able moving to a warmer climate because of chronic pain syndrome...if or when you come across a home that's like yours I'd love to know about it. I'm a senior citizen but do have a pension. Thanks in advance
Maybe get another senior to move with u

Beautiful home! 😍 Wish I could move there.
Beautiful 🤩 home !! Parota. I think is one of the few ones that termites can’t get into. So very good 👍. And I think 🤔 you should add large indoor plants to fill in the voids. You have so much space I’d put one large plant in some corners.
It tells me how over price it is here in the U.S. Even being pay off the real estate taxes will put you back. The families moving back together will be the trend. I like millions other are looking at all option . We are being force too. Thanks Jordan , a handsome couple, Viva La Mexico
@@acardioxc You are absolutely correct; I was going to say the same thing. That apartment/house is completely unaffordable to the average professional in Mexico.
we are making it expensive now in Mexico. Its increase demand in consumption that drives the price
@@acardioxc Most teachers earn twice that , but its still not nearly enough to pay that rent. My friend works for the government in GTO and earns nearly 40,000 which is still not enough
It's easy when you pay in dollars, most of us here can't even think in afford a place like this

Hi! We moved to Queretero last month and we will be moving into an unfurnished home. Can you do a posting on where you got your furniture and how much things cost? Also, please let me know if you plan on selling any items for your move. Thanks so much! Thanks for this video.
Hello, where are you at? I am in El Marques. There are many furniture stores on Bernardo Quintana blv. I hope you get to like this city and welcome.
What do you do for work ?? And what made you decide to move to Mexico ?? Are you intending to stay there?? Or will you move back to the states ?
$1700 seems like a lot for Mexico. Beautiful house though. Good for you realizing you need to move on and leave the past behind you. That is crucial for your relationship and mental health. Kudos.
That's a really beautiful place and great location. Though I've never been, I can see why some people are interested in visiting Vegas, but I don't get the lure of living there, especially if you pay huge rent for a tiny place in a bad part of town.
LV has massive home value fluctuations... heavy turnover (moves in, then out...) a desert landscape, hot weather and the "gambling" undercurrent. I frankly never understood, the appeal... for more than a weekend, either? (To each, their own...)
Fabulous video. I can't wait to travel in Mexico and find a new home. Love your videos.
Great Home Jordan Jerry Brown here with Jerry Brown travels our home here would probably fit in your garage or your master bedroom. Jordan keep doing what you do it’s appreciated by all. And congratulations on your future plans.
I've been looking for you. Lost your channel notifications. I know you and your wife live in the a same town. I will resubscribe
glad to hear you are happy in my country
$21,000 a year rent isn’t like a awesome deal for Mexico lol . It is a killer pad though. Sorry to here about your separation and I hope your pup operation turned out good . Your new lady is cute . I wish you all the best !🙏
21k a year would be 1,750k a month for that house which is actually an incredibly low amount for rent. It's a monster house. Not sure what you're talking about, but that house would be about 5,550k or more a month in my state.
It is for a house of that size, with those gorgeous features that is on a golf course and lake in a gated community.
Here in Florida- and not even one of the most expensive parts of Florida- that same house would easily sell for 2 million or more.
This is such an awesome video! thanks for showing us!
Absolutely beautiful but no one has ever addressed the issue of the water. I was told that drinking water is not good in Mexico. Can you elaborate on that or anyone in the forum.? Thanks so much✨
I love this house. The views are amazing!
I would love to live in a lovely house like this one-- but a smaller one. I have never lived in a place that nice. I will retire in a few years. Maybe that will be my opportunity to get upgraded housing in Mexico.
Glad to see that young Lady is giving you a chance!
Great video Jordan, glad that your happy and that Laska is doing well
God is good to you! You have an awesome home. You seem like a really nice guy, I wish the very best for you.
Beautiful place!!! so cheap with those amenities!!
Beautiful home Jordan and so spacious for a large family. I love the peace and quiet of it but it’s a lot of space
I may have to visit Querétaro - CDMX is quiet noisy and one of my pets gets scared easily bc of the loud vehicles noise 🥺😣
Thank you for sharing 💗…. Besos a Laska 💗
Beautiful place.What a phenomenal deal!
I like the quiet peaceful aspects of your place.
