💯, it’s not the fastest in its segment but packs a nice punch with simple mods.
That’s some pretty good results from just a base map. 0-60 in almost 4 seconds flat is plenty for most every day driver. Good stuff!

Awesome work. You're a pioneer for this car. I was really disappointed with how poorly this car performed from the factory. Hopefully they can sell more of these and the aftermarket picks up. It would be great to see someone put a slightly larger turbo on there and get into the 11's. I'd go out and buy one tomorrow if that could be done. It's such a great looking car, just needs more top end. I was totally underwhelmed on my test drive with its pulling power ... it noticeably runs out of steam up top.

To be fair you could say that for literally every turbo car and supercharged car from the factory after tuning them.
The fact that you got this thing to low 4's 0-60 is amazing. If acura could shed some pounds from this car and add on some of your hardware mods as stock, this car would shred the competition on track and compete in a straight line.

@@Pratagraph it’s a 25 shot, does more cooling that anything and was only sprayed 2nd gear onwards to keep the trans happy.

Holy shit, thats a huge difference between what came out of factory. So, my factory acura 21 tlx type s can be pushed to hit 4.15s~ 0-60MPH? Thats almost a second improvement from stock, wow!! Would have been nice if it came that way from the factory.

Side note: do you have an accurate dragy for 60mph and 1/4 mile for stage 1 for stock car vs. stage 1 for major bolt ons?

This isn’t totally related to the video, I love the progress the Ktuner made btw, but would you be able to do a video on tips for maintaining or repairing suspension components as you get into the 250,000-300,000 mile range. As well as anything that gets old over time, catalytic converters, etc?
I have a 2005 TL 6MT with 253,000 miles running pretty good, but I’ll want to do some more work myself over the next few years before it may be time to retire it.

Search for AHC garage TL type s. They did a 20+ episode rebuild that serves as a good guide.
Thats a decent gain for just a basemap, and if you were in the same DA Temps as the stock map run you wouldve got into high 3s 0-60 and maybe a 12.1-12.2 @113mph. 🔥🔥

With a 103 stock trap, a 10mph jump isn't bad. As an Type s owner, it prob should have come stock like that tho. Really enjoying the car otherwise !

Hey man. Thanks for all the videos. Been watching since I recently purchased a 23 A spec. Almost everyone telling me to tune to stage 2 via ktuner. I wish the TLX had more power but I’m a little skeptical of voiding the warranty. Do you think the stage 2 tune is pretty safe overall and worth it?
Yes for sure. Those shelf maps are mad pretty conservatively. Use 91+ octane with them.
@@BCautosolutions thanks man. All I use is 93 from Costco. Also do I need any other mods like downpipe? Or is it okay to run stock with stage 2 tune?
I feel like the times could be better if the car was able to launch at 3k rpms, I know the TLX 2.0T after a tune can launch at nearly 3,500rpms and it makes a big difference
Yeah, there’s definitely a tenth or two to be picked up from a harder launch.

I just bought one of these cars. What do you suggest as the best tune for this car? What is the advantage of the K tuner over the JB4? Lastly, will I have problems with my dealer if I put a tune on the car? The service manager is a buddy of mine so he won't care but what risk do I run as far as Acura finding out?
Anytime you’re messing with boost/timing targets it’s a risk. K tuner actually changes the maps, jb4 just does a whole bunch of trickery that leads to horrible experience.

Thanks again for the video. Wondering if it made any audible changes to the exhaust/turbo. And if you feel like reliability has taken a hit because of it. I want to invest in it but am not sure I want to be the one that has their engine blow up and warranty voided. Thanks again have a good day

Really depends on what you like, just don’t get the cheapest ones you can find.

Thank you, playing with fire anytime you mod and tune. 10at is very reliable and so is the j series so hopefully we are good. Worst case I can always repair it myself lol

Hey man! So just to confirm your did 0 to 60 in 4.09 sec with only a down pipe and Ktuner?
Downpipe, drop in filter, intercooler, ported manifold (pretty sure this is hurting the car), ported tb, k tuner, and lightweight wheels/rotors.
I'm guessing this will require work with a TCM, but do these tunes allow you to hold a gear even if you bounce off of red line? I'd like a used one of these one day, and one thing that really drives me nuts about these cars. Hopefully it gets addressed soon if it hasn't been already
No, it’ll automatically upshift. Until someone cracks the tcm, we are stuck with that.

on stage 1.1 i got the same time as the jb4, on stage 1 i felt a huge different from a dig, couldnt do rolls because of fuel cuts. thats other thing, im getting fuel cuts in PR, its hot ash here 😭
Yeah I only use 1.2, anything else ends up in cut

K tuner feeds ecu correct data. The jb4 spends its whole time send ecu bad info.

Hey guys, I am new to tuning and I have had my TLX-S for a few months now. I am looking at getting ktuner v2 but I just wanted to know if any changes you make are reversible and that you are able to change everything back to stock. Also will the dealership know if you do reverse the tune?
You can flash the 21-22 but no 23. You can go back to stock at any time and dealer will never know as long as stock file is on the car at the time of visit for anything with the engine/transmission.

That’s correct
2023 are now flashes, but isn’t publicly out atm, still in beta
What mount are you using for your Ktuner?
Search “ram mount” on Amazon. I zip tied it to my small dash vent.
I am actually upset I can't put this on my PMC for probably another year or two
