Great review Paul 👍🔥🔥💙
I agree!! Great review!
Sure, it was a clever stoke keeping the STIG's identity under wraps, but it was also hiding Paul's skills as a superb automotive journalist. More, please!
Now that is too kind, thank you, you humble me sir!
I agree we need to see more content from Paul.
Nice to see the performance sedan is back. Well done Acura.
Cadillac might have something to say about that...
What a great review and reviewer. You can tell he’s a great instructor too. More Paul and reviews like this!
True!

@@olivermaryjane6577 Ok..
I love it when you can tell someone really knows what the hell they are talking about. There are plenty are UA-cam car reviewer who can't even identify a drain plug.
This guy is great, more from Paul please!
I like the TFL guys, but Paul is a great addition and honestly better for this review. On the car note, I have waited years for this. So excited to see the return of the Type S!
Are you going to buy one then ?
@@Ecuador006 Funny enough I did buy a Type S just recently! But it was not a TLX!
@@atmartens mdx type s ??
@@Ecuador006 as much as I love to have one, no reason for a 3 row SUV. A RDX Type S wouldn’t be off the table if they ever get to it.
Thank you TFL for having Paul do this review. I typically love all your content and the entire team is excellent. Paul's style really breaks down the intricate details that us gear heads crave, A+!
What an excellent review. Paul is made to do these performance reviews. He makes me want one of these cars and I think I will be getting one.
Clicked so fast seeing that Paul was giving the review. Great presentation skills and great takes on driving impressions.
Acura TLX Type S, STIG approved.
but in the interest of surviving journalistic abuse on a road course, those on-track TLXs were fitted with track-oriented pads that Acura promises to recommend to interested customers. Car & Driver
Two things: 1.) Paul is a fantastic automotive reviewer. He should have his own channel "The Stig" with 1m subs. 2.) The TLX Type S is an absolutely gorgeous sedan from pretty much every angle, especially the front and rear end. They did a great job of capturing that in this video.
More Paul this is an excellent review....
was hoping atleast 380-400 on this car but this probably best looking sedan in his class
Great review and an especially good "canoe" metaphor to explain the difference the torque vectoring of SW-AWD vs brake based AWD systems. The big news this morning is the F-150 Lightning but the TLX Type S deserves some attention. It's an outstanding effort from Acura.
But when driven back to back with a showroom-fresh Audi S4 that Acura brought out for a Pepsi challenge, the Audi's suspension isolation and structure felt just a little more buttoned up. Car & Driver
@@normt430 That's one journalist's opinion...what do the other journalists have to say about that comparison?
@@KardiFan2000 but in the interest of surviving journalistic abuse on a road course, those on-track TLXs were fitted with track-oriented pads that Acura promises to recommend to interested customers. Motor Trend
@@normt430 if you hate Acura so much then why are you on every Acura video? Doesn’t make any sense
@@drivescene6747 not just me that thinks Honda+ brand socks the last few decades but Consumer Reports does not recommend any Acura today. So sad...
Love Paul doing reviews!!!
Could tell Paul was going to deliver a great review from the initial impressions video, and that was true. Awesome job detailing everything!
Really impressed with Paul’s style - one of the few sedans where it’s fine to be over styled - it has character without looking ugly (the rear end is my only gripe). I’d chose this over an IS500 F without thinking a second time.
Paul did a great job here. I hope to see TFL include more content with him in the future!
I thought this review stood out among others on the new TLX Type S. I found Paul's insights on the car as a true enthusiast interesting. I'd like to see more reviews using him. Subscribed just for that!
Excellent review, thanks! Waiting these next 4-5 weeks before I can get mine is going to be even tougher now!
Did you get it yet?
Love how professional Paul is compared to most of the TFL staff, no silly nonsense
The everyman TFL image is part of why I like them. I think Paul is great, btw.
Good review paul! Do more you’re great 💯
Great review as always, Paul! I’m finally excited about Acura once again because it’s been quite a few years; I was so in love with the original TL & CL Type-S models (saw that beautiful blue CL Type-S in the background) in the early 2000s and glad they’ve resurrected the moniker in a market that’s gradually “watering down” performance models. 🔥
What a review. I can listen to him talk all day.
Very good review. Paul was quite informative. He give out a lot of information that I didn’t know about the TLX type S. Acura has done it again!!!
This gentleman just convinced me enough to get a Type S.
Very nice car. One of the best car reviewers on UA-cam, too. I look fwd to more of your reviews - well done!
Wow this guy really knows his stuff! What a wonderful review!
The way he explains the SH-AWD system and torque vectoring system was easy to understand and I finally understand it. 👍🏼
Great video!
Paul, great review. Informative, calm, cool, and collected! A most enjoyable video!
Great review Paul!
That was a great review! As a racing driver, you've adjust your feedback to a daily driver review with all the "feel points". From the seat to the steering and the modes.👍 That's "everything I wanted to know". Now it's time for my road test, when it will be available.
Great review! Thanks for comparing it with the S4. I am a huge Audi and Acura fan, so I have a ton of comparing to do. Thanks!
Great review. You are very good at it.
@The Fast Lane car Thank you TFL and Paul for an excellent review and Paul is a fantastic reviewer. What a spot on review. I like the the way Paul blends in the technical aspects and explanations and that makes the overall review stand out and more interesting. Almost like sitting in a classroom with Paul. Please have Paul do more reviews. I have been waiting a long time for the TLX-S’s arrival and I plan on buying one later this year. Thank you again and looking forward to the next session of “TFL Reviews with Paul “.
Excellent, spot on review! Paul knows what hes talking about. Great car too! Home run for Acura.
I'm an automotive technician and a gear head with some real life race experience....and I loved Paul's review and explanation of the car.. best in business i think
This Guy Needs His Own UA-cam Channel!! He’s Great💪🏽
Great review Paul! Such a same that we don’t have Acura in Europe…
Excellent review. Almost felt like I was watching CNET lol. I will look for more reviews with him featured in it
This is very good review done by an objective driver who can really drive cars. Thanks for this experience.
Not just because Im a 25 year Honda/Acura customer, but this is one of the best reviews I've seen in a long time along with a British car review of Honda e and of course Chris Harris. This reminds me of real television car reviews of like motoring TV, motorweek, etc because you review the car and talk just about the car highs and lows, it was focused, rather than that guy sofyan if you watch his review of same car.
Wow where did he come from? This was a review I did not expect from TFLCAR. EXCELLENT!
Fantastic review, brought up a lot of valid points I never considered
Great review. Genuine and good explanations for his comments.
An actual review instead of a drag race! Keep these coming.
Nice review!! By far the best one yet!
How do you compare this car in terms of performance against the Genesis G70 3.3 or Stinger GT2 ? Thank you
Love that professional drivers don't have a need for crazy speed in street cars. Great review.
This car is increadible 👌🏼
Need more of that guy on the channel. Great review!
Excellent Review!!
Thank You👍🏻
Yup....I'm TeamPaul as well. Best explanation of Torque Vectoring and the different setups to date. Keep on with the content brother.
Great review, very happy that Acura Type-S is back. 🔥
That close up with the flakes in the pearl paint 😎🤤
That’s the best review I’ve seen on this car and I’ve seen a few on this model.
This is the best review of the Type S I have seen so far. Great work Stig!
Love the TLX. But I hope they bring back the camera for the side mirror. It was one of the best features I have in my Accords
Excellent Paul review. Let’s see more.
Great explanation of the awd. Fantastic review as well.
Great review as always "Stig" I could imagine what a tune and minor add-ons mods will do to this unleashed beast!!! Paul next time bring your exclusive "white racing suit" 😃
Awsome review...great explanations that anyone can follow, even non-car people
This guy is really good explaining how a car drivers, great job
Fantastic review, Paul!
Really good review. Keep it on!👍🏼
Great in depth review
I think this will be my next car purchase and soon I hope. I figure that the nearly $10,000 saved over the comparable competition will buy the first 45,000 miles worth of gas. Friends have purchased German competitors in the past and have paid dearly in maintenance costs. Acura has a reputation for very good reliability. The TLX is a very good looking car that will fit into my conservative life style. I am old enough to think that this is likely to be the last car I buy and it might as well be a nice one.
One of these times when the car and the driver make an excellent combination. Pure fun.
Acura is all about performance and handling awesome review so glad
Type S back with Precision crafted performance
Lol sounds like acura sales reps
@@Ecuador006 lol nah I drive 2020 tlx v6 aspec
Nicely done review.thanks.
Can we leave the interior lights on even in the morning or is it just for the night ???
Great technical intro!! now I have to get back!
Fantastic review..thanks a bunch 🌹
WOW! Stig talks! I am speechless!
You’ve made me love this tlx type s even more
Already the Type S, with manual transmission from 2008 was a performer for the price and most people overlooked the overall capability of the car. I would expect nothing less than a revised type S for 2021. SH-AWD, performs well on inclement weather conditions with a lot of Acura cars. I own a 2011 MDX and the torque vectoring along with the outstanding AWD and 300 HP, provide a lot of power to move a large family SUV. I can only imagine 355 HP in the new TL, seems like a good concept to make every day driving fun
super review! thank you!
Great review.
Namaste, its amazing review and great knowledge. Learned good stuff.
I have this car in the same color & it's terrific, plenty of power & great sound system
Good job Acura wow color me impressed for an Acura finally! And that color/paint wow like a freakin gold bar!it seems like Acura took everything good from all the other cars and threw it in this!
Really enjoyed this drivers professional thoughts and interpretation of what he is experiencing driving this Type S.
Great review!
Great review
Love Nathan , Andre , Roman ,Tommy and everyone in between! But Paul is perfect for this! Plz plz plz more Paul!!!
Great review! Tlx for the win!
Best technical review ever.
AWD in any form is great.I have a KIA Stinger AWD and it feels just like the Audi a6 that i rent on business trips. Thanks for the clarification on the AWD.Only thing missing on this car is more HP.I would choose this over a CTS-V AWD--or a Q60 AWD--but with my money I chose a Stinger.I had a 50k budget and after my trade I paid 19k for my Stinger--wo I have 30k in the bank--also this was not out last year when i went looking or I might have gotten one or at least gave it a serious look.I had a crosstour and after 10 years the car was in the same condition as when i bought it--every part was tight---no mechanical issues ever--seats look new. So far though my Stinger has also ran flawlessly--buttons are also still tight--i have even gone to public drag night--4.27 to 60 and 12.7 in the quarter with no launch control.I will be in the market in 2024 or 2025--cars in this TT V6 class should be putting out 400 and hopefully faster numbers then my already quick stinger.
Excellent video, I wonder how a 25PSI remap will feel.
Awesome review. I am looking at 3 cars in this class (including the Genesis G70 and Lexus IS350 F Sport) and test drove all 3. The Acura feels the most responsive and "quickest". The Lexus feels smooth, but dated inside and definitely slower feeling than the other two. Tough choices, but I like a LOT about the Acura. Thanks for the review! Subscribed.
It's about time acura catches up to the competition. I had a twin turbo v6 with awd in my Taurus SHO 11 years ago.😅
Your SHO must have been customized, because they did not come from the factory turbocharged. I had a 1990 SHO with the wonderful (and beautiful to look at) Yamaha-built V6. Some guys did put aftermarket turbos on them. It was such a stout engine that several open wheel Pikes Peak racers used them as recently as a few years ago at the Pikes Peak Hillclimb. .
But what a massive pile of shite it was 😂 😂
"had". An 11 year old Ford is in the scrap yard. An 11 year old Honda/Acura is just getting broken in.
This gentleman explains the acura sh awd system the best
Solid review
Paul knows his shit. Great review.
Again, congrats on this awesome review... Too many irresponsible car reviews that give people wrong information and impressions of some vehicles especially Honda/Acura products. They are irresponsible with comments that suggest vehicles are not good enough or lacking for them to love it, but have no intent to buy.
Best review I've seen on this car.
EXCELLENT REVIEW.
Awesome review of awesome car.
Nice vídeo 👏🏻
That tiger’s eye with white interior is in my future, if I have any say in it.
I’m definitely considering it lol just the price is a little concerning to me. I might wait a year or 2 to pick one up certified preowned
Performance Red for me. Looks like a super car in that colour
