"Lonely Day." If you want a well and truly calm SOAD song I think this is genuinely the most mellow song they have ever done. But it's a sad one, too. Might "hit you in the feels" a bit. But it's a beautiful song.

You got it right on the "Sweet Berries ready for two" verse being a reference to Adam and Eve, this song is about finding your own meaning on death and shedding the preconceptions religion gives us.

Never think in that interpretation, i´m more likely to the most common interpretation about a double suicide, and the "Question!" about the afterlife, it got more sense when you know about Serj´s personal spiritual interpretation.

System of a Down is a rarity in Heavy Metal and Rock n Roll, if not Music in general. They are the only band I know of that has released two albums the same year, and went platinum both times.

Soil by System of a Down is a song about suicide and is definitely a must listen. It’s very emotionally fueled and it’s by far one of the best in my opinion. The lyrics really mean something deep if you take the time to read and think about them.

The calmest song is Roulette... don't know how that keeps going under the radar. Everyone's suggesting Lonely Day but Roulette doesn't even have drums in it!
I didn't see if this had been added down below, but this song was about a dream that one of the band mates had, and they turned it into a song. It definitely does touch on the concepts of life after death, and what waits for us beyond, as well as touching on the notion of the forbidden fruit, and the cost.

Edit: I would recommend holy mountains or spiders if you're looking for something a little less aggressive (not calm, but not entirely slamming your face into the wall either). That said, be aware these songs, especially spiders, may elicit a bit of an emotional response. There's something about the way Serj sings that pierces you. Serj also had a solo album called Elect the Dead, and the music video for Empty Walls will hit you hard.
