    LYRICS
    Life is a waterfall
    We're one in the river
And one again after the fall
Swimming through the void, we hear the word
We lose ourselves, but we find it all
'Cause we are the ones that want to play
Always want to go, but you never want to stay
And we are the ones that want to choose
Always want to play but you never want to lose
    Aerials in the sky
When you lose small mind, you free your life
    Life is a waterfall
    We drink from the river
Then we turn around and put up our walls
Swimming through the void, we hear the word
We lose ourselves, but we find it all
'Cause we are the ones that want to play
Always want to go, but you never want to stay
And we are the ones that want to choose
Always want to play but you never want to lose
    Oh
    Aerials in the sky
When you lose small mind, you free your life
    Aerials, so up high
When you free your eyes, eternal prize
    Aerials in the sky
When you lose small mind, you free your life
    Aerials, so up high
When you free your eyes, eternal prize
    Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh
    Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh
    Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh
    Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh

Their songs have DEEP meaning whoever said that must be ignorant of their music/lyrics...would you have ever thought a rock song would hit you so hard? Great reaction

Yes, I think that there is a meaning behind these songs, a combination of the artists hearts and minds, but I think in the end the at it is just art that is put together by the a ARTISTS. In other words, I don't think that it's meaning is to change the world, simply to make it more beautiful.

Seeing that the new-gen has a full understanding of that how deep this music is, just makes me feel overwhelmed. Especially if it's a young man that prefers a 180-degree another type of music. You're an open-minded person, that's just great. Keep it, mate, these qualities are a kind of treasure nowadays.

System of a Down has a LOT in their songs, really wack someone would say they don’t lol glad you touched on that.
Music is definitely a way artists can put some of their subliminal and active thoughts together so people like you and I can understand fully how they truly feel. The lyrics tell you what and the music paints that picture. It’s beautiful.

Yeah, it's crazy someone actually thinks their songs have no meaning or lied and tried to steer Jojo wrong. Nearly every single one of their songs has a message about the state of politics, society, or the world as a whole. There are some of their songs I'm surprised that haven't gotten them in trouble. Two that stand out are Sugar and Attack.

Yeah it’s wild there’s a crap ton of stuff in all their songs. I didn’t even know for a while, after I got some years in me the more I listened I would catch stuff and then started listening to all the stuff in their songs. Love them! First band that really pulled me into music

Prison song alone has so much intense and great meaning. Like yeah, they use “nonsensical language” sometimes but so much of it is protest music, you just have to pay basic attention. Wild that anyone would say their lyrics have no meaning 😪💀

All my life, I've taken life lessons from books, movies, and music. Day after day, I watch you level up when you analyze these songs. You remind me of myself in that way. I watched my own son waste his life away wanting to do nothing but play video games and ignore school work. He eventually dropped out of school, and went to go live with his biological father. He also got kicked out of there and couch surfed with his friends for years. He got in with the wrong crowd and ended up in prison for a little while. But when he got out, he went and got his GED. He got a job, bought a car, found an apartment to rent. With the money he made, he put himself through school to get certified in medical coding. Now he does that and maintains an apartment, pets, a car, and a love life. I am so proud of him. With the way you seek truth everywhere you look, I think you'll avoid a lot of life's pitfalls and will succeed in everything you want to accomplish. I believe in you.

Another pretty straight forward song with a lot of meaning is "B.Y.O.B." which stands for* "Bring your own bombs". The lyrics are very self-explanatory on that one.
Ps. i think you actually nailed the meaning of the song haha. Its also about us as individuals and our misconceptions about ourselves i read somewhere one time, which makes sense as well from hearing the song. Ty for the uploads bud!

      @leonelaquezada5322 2 роки тому +4

Idk you and i know this was directed at JoJo but i have a friend i made by watching him on twitch and he's still going through the same thing. But we've built a small community that's tight knit. Keep in mind that there's always a audience for everyone. I think you should go for it. Take baby steps til you feel like you can move to twitch. This might not mean much from a random stranger on the internet but i just feel like you should go for it. You miss 100% of the shots you don't take. I hope your journey goes well. 🙏❤️

    • @TheCabIe
      @TheCabIe Рік тому +1

Honestly, even if you end up talking for yourself for some hours, it's not a bad thing. You end up articulating your thoughts which probably helps you in the long run and will ease the shyness. Eventually even if you only get a few people watching it's still cool to hang out and have a small community. Yeah, realistically you won't get thousands of viewers, but if you want to try it, just try it, it's not like it's some big commitment.

One of the best, most honest reactions I've ever seen....powerful stuff. Most people who don't listen to this type of music will simply mock it by throwing up devil horns and banging their heads, never even giving the lyrics and the meaning a second thought, but real music deserves your full attention, it's beautiful to see the raw emotion come out. Music is at the pinnacle of all art and the most important contribution humans have gave the universe, you just got a small taste of its power. I'm excited to see where you go next.

When you cry, I cry. You said something that made me think about a friend I lost last October. He was so always wanting to not live the way we're forced into living; it was something he battled with. Always trying to make things work for him in his own way. Fear of success, fear of failure. You hit it on the head. Perfectly said and so fucking close to home for me. I've been procrastinating starting my channel for 3 1/2 years. I've got an deep and wide oceans worth of content. Being afraid of no one watching is terrifying to me. I'm an old school real deal punk rock/psychobilly guitarist and singer that's made a living doing it since 1986. All of this is new, and new is scary instead of exiting sometimes. Thank you. You've just given me the courage I've been lacking. When you're ready to take the journey into punk and its many sub-genres, I'll be of as much help as I can. I was there through most of it and saw ot happen first hand. My insight of the context to much of it will definitely help it make much more sense, because it's not for the faint of heart and a bit jarring without context. Get used to a bit more of the 90s metal and let it relax you like a warm bath before jumping in that pool. Cheers. Your friendly neighborhood Dr. Johnny Love PRPB Mastercraftsman Esquire.

Thanks for sharing this video and your heart.
Many rock and metal bands have a gift for letting you experience a wide range of emotions..
The sometimes shocking change in pace of music and tone is part of the dynamic range of a situation or different characters in a situation.

When music brings out such emotions and has you thinking of your life, you know you're a fan of that music. The way you realised the message being sang about was amazing to watch. Now you know why metalheads love it.

Watching/listening to reactions has become a part of my everyday life. I'm a Painter and I work from home, so thankfully, I'm able to. I never realized how much pleasure it brings me to see other people, not only experiencing, but enjoying the same music I do. I've been watching your dad's channel for a while (long enough to remember the pizza incident or when you guys watched the Stan video), but I sorta faded away for my own reasons, but clearly he did a helluva job as a father. Your channel is one I watch daily and not only because of the music you choose, but because you're genuine, sincere, insightful, and sometimes wise beyond your years. Thank you.
Now here goes the request, I'm not asking for you to react,(it's awesome though so you should😉) but in your own time, listen to drugs by eden. I would bet every good memory I have that you'll enjoy it...in a sense. ✌️❤🎶

Your explanation at 5:29 means a lot to me, as I was in the same boat for so long... however once I finally found the courage to post a couple of recent videos on my holidays, it barely got exposure and it's pretty much demotivated me from posting anything since. Maybe some day I'll try to get back into it.

Hey man, been watching a few of your reactions, it's great seeing younger generations listen to the music i grew up (teens) with. that emotion you felt from the song, many SOAD fans have been there, trust me, and always keep it 100 with your emotions, never apologise if a song hits you deep. you feel what you feel, never apologise for that.

I’m glad someone cleared up the “meanings” behind Systems songs. I’ve heard that they actually all have meanings but they like to leave it ambiguous to allow the listener to come up with their own ideas. 🤔 Although some songs are pretty clear about the meanings like Chic N Stu and Boom. Great reaction!
