nice boat, you gave a good tour I like all the storage
Glad you enjoyed it!!
I have an Alumacraft Classic 165 CS (2017). I wish I would have gotten the tiller model. If you do upgrade I would recommend the vinyl deck. Very easy clean up especially if you are using nightcrawlers. Great thorough tour of your boat.
Hey Does that vinyl deck get slippery when wet?
Great video
I bought the exact boat in August of 21. The 70 hp will idle at about 2.2mph. Top speed is 31-32mph. I have 5 batteries on board and 2 Minnkota anchormates with 32# anchors. I really like this boat. The motor jumps on plane quick and is very stable.
You bet they are amazing boats
I’d buy it when your done with it.. nice
Awesome!
Thanks! Hoping to get you out in it soon!
I love the design of this boat! I would have a slightly lower horsepower outboard. I would also have a Garman Force trolling motor with live view for the bow!
Right on! It's a great set up
I like tiller boats. More room to fish. :)
You betcha!
Very true
Enough room to lay a queen mattress in for jump shooting ducks, was told by a friend.
its a good boat, i had one i bought new in 2013.
We love it!
@@Wisconsin_Fisherman I liked mine too, but I needed to go to a full windshield for big water
Nice boat. Sure nicer than mine!
Thank you!
What lake are you on looks sweet!
Let's see an update on the chickens, and a deer stand tour!
The meat birds taste really good! and the layers are all big now! i'll get them in a video soon
Upgrade to the foldable tie downs;)
I have the smme rig 🙂, do yourself a favor and get Tiller Assist.
That boat is very similar to my Alumacraft Lunker yet very different. Probably a little heavier cause although mine is 16.5 feet long it is rated for just a 50 HP outboard. Also my livewell is on the side of the boat, which when full really changes the balance in the boat. And also I don't have an internal gas tank, just a 6 gallon external tank. Your boat would be a nice upgrade to mine, let me know when you sell it in a few years I might be interested!
Right on, that is what my dad has for a boat great boat. The width is a big difference too as mine is 87” wide! You’ll love the Competitor! Thanks for watching!
I was your first view
Where did you get your boat
Thank you for the info, for me, just want a simple fishing boat, no bells and whistles. 40hp motor and maybe 16 ft long. that is it. I'm a kentucky poor fisherman, using jawbone baitcasting combo w/2 pi rod 6'.6", with 20lbs line. $49.99 can't bet it. Just saying. Bank fishing rivers, lakes & creeks, catch and clean and cook hem.
What's the price?
Put the light where the fly rod is.
Would this size boat handle ok with bigger lakes on a windy day? Leech, or LOTW? Or would a 17 or 18 foot be better?
The 185 would do better on the windy day
Do you like the shorelander trailer? Is it a 2 bunk or 4? I see quite a few Alumacraft 165 models like this and the classic on heritage and eagle brand trailers to that look much sturdier.. anyone else have opinions on trailer?
I do have the shoreland’r roller I love it. In some shallow lakes up here it’s hard unloading bunk trailers. I like them and EZ loader as well. Eagle is a great trailer for the price as well
I have a competitor on an Eagle trailer, lets just say all my lund friends are jealous.
I'm on a boat!
I'm riding on a dolphin, doing flips and s#!&
Hello, what prop size do you have on the Yamaha 70 pushing your boat? Thanks
I believe it’s a 13.5x15 15 pitch for sure but not sure on the diameter
Always leave you hatches open during storage, the boat will dry out better. Never should have water in your boat for prolonged periods
How many people do u think u could fish out of it comfortably?
Max 4
I'm wanting to get a boat like that the only problem is I'm in the south and I will have to order it without seeing it. My question is there any way you could tell me the length and width of the cockpit. I can't find it anywhere. Thanks if you can and thanks for the video.
length is 77" width is 63"
@@Wisconsin_Fisherman Thank you so much for doing that. That really helps out.
Nobody ever talks about the lowest speed (MPH) that Yamaha 70 will go down to. I know they have the RPM adjust like most motors, but what is the slowest speed using that feature that 70 will troll???
I believe I had 1.4/1.8 or so
What's the top speed with just you in it?
About 31 Mph
@@Wisconsin_Fisherman Thats an honest answer, kudos.
Out of curiosity, how much did you pay for that boat and set up?
Let’s say I sold it as is like that in 2020 for 15 K
how much was it with everything
In the ballpark of 20K
How slow can you troll with that 70 HP?
About 1.8 or so
I like a deep v, but I wonder why your 165 seems to lean to starboard as you sit in back. I can't stand a tippy boat.
