    Nice boat...I know the bug thing well we where out on Kentuck Lk. In Vilas Country chasing Muskies the other night by the time we came in @ 11:00pm the Lund Explorer 17 was still pretty tidy inside but extremely covered in white curling bugs

      Whitetail 262 I love the nite bite. I wait all year for the hottest most humid days for the night time too water action!

    The retractable trailer straps are nice but because they submerge when launching, they tend to have a life span. If you get them, use a little fluid film or something similar to protect them.

    My boat is fiberglass and in the spring when trolling on the big lakes the knats are so thick you are literally breathing them. Boat deck floor after a day looks black. Pressure washer works well to get them out.

    Nice rig , gave me some things to think about that's for sure

      Chris Zasada for sure! My best advice is to buy the biggest boat you can afford to power effectively. Let me know if you have questions throughout your boat buying process.

    Hi, I have a question for you, I'm limited with a towing capacity of 1500lbs, does the full package(boat/motor/trailer+gas and electronic) will be too much with a 70 yamaha(253lbs) or a Zuke 60hp(the 70 weight too much).
    Thanks for information, and love your boat

    I was curious what you paid for the boat and what you think it's worth now?
    I'm asking because I am currently shopping round for a new boat. Dealers never tell you what the price is unless you are in their shop. Go figure.

      With the upgrades to trailer, motor trolling motor, and two 9” Garmins, I paid right at 21k. As far as value today, I don’t know what to say. There is a dealer near me with a similarly equipped 2017 that is asking $17,900. The inflation of boat prices has gotten a little crazy.

      @@fishingthe262 Yeah I know inflation is crazy. Tell me bout it lol... I don't feel right hauling a boat that is worth more than my truck. Been getting quotes for boats that are in the 2015-2020 year range with options similar to yours and it averages around $15000-$20000. New Alumacraft boats similar to yours with just the boat and motor start over $21000 and go up from there. Bidenomics is working....

    how well does it handle big water? I fish the SF bay alot, and we can fish a 16' boat in the early part of day, but i want go out the Gate on decent days... yes i am shopping, lol

      Henry Sanchez I’ll take it out on Lake Michigan on calm days, but I’d really like an 18 footer when it gets tough on the Great Lakes...I can imagine you’d feel the same out there.

      I just sold an older 21' searay, but I want a brand new boat with no motor issues, trying to get the best for my buck

    How deep is your garage? I only have 19' and wondering if I could squeeze it in.

    • @fishingthe262
      @fishingthe262  4 роки тому +1

      Bryan Wolf I can’t see that working in a 19 foot garage. I just paced of my garage and it was 8 paces from the back wall to the door. Figure that is 24 feet give or take a foot and there’s not much room to spare....

    How is the performance speed and plane time with that Yamaha 70?

    • @fishingthe262
      @fishingthe262  4 роки тому

      Zero issues getting on plane whatsoever. 2 guys and gear and it will run 32-33mph when trimmed properly.

    What color are the LED's? Yellow?

    • @fishingthe262
      @fishingthe262  5 років тому

      Paul Buchanan The interior lights are indeed yellow. Slightly annoying, but it is enough to be able to see the foot controls at night.
