Mine fits like a glove. I put my finger tip in the hole as my fingers are shorter than yours. I tested it in handing punching scrap drywall. It’s comfortable and didn’t hurt at all. Amazing little design. Great video. Thumbs up!
if you dont use the 2 finger technique, youll just wind up cutting your middle finger wide open if you meet any kind of resistance, whether it be wood or bone, theres no gaurd.
I'm wondering how this guy measures up to the Talon neck knife. They are both smart designs because they allow the user to still have use of their hand while holding it. I think this makes more sense for day to day stuff than the Talon, but this definitely has a more durable construction, and better blade steel. It's also about 15 bucks more. Any thoughts?
I have not used the Talon knife, but looking at it gives me concerns about the strength of the design. The steel is very thin where the blade meets the handle. I know it isn't designed for chopping, but just looks weak. Interesting design though. I like that it has a more simple to hold design, as the Snarl can be confusing.
Which one? If you like the Folts Bowie design, check out the SMKW exclusive in D2 steel with tan micarta handles. It's a major step up, and only about 5 bucks more. It's my favorite all around neck knife.
