Totally fair. I understand where you're coming from and I'm grateful that you can see the challenge we're up against in creating these videos. Thanks for watching. Cheers! -Ben
Pretty cool to see jason having his designs made by the bigger producers. Id still take the original anyday, even at twice the price, but its nice to see his talent being recognized by major manufactures.
***Hey - you're audio says 8CR18, but it's 9cr18... it even shows it on your packaging you display on the video
Already got mine from you guys :)
I really want to upgrade to one of Jason's sometime.
Thanks for your vote of confidence. I don't claim to be a knife expert and I certainly don't have the time to do intense research on every single knife we sell. I try to get you the best look at the knife possible, talk succinctly and clearly, insert ridiculous humor and enjoy the living daylights out of my job. Does that mean you get a perfect knife overview, every time? I wouldn't bet on it. But it seems you watched the video, so it worked, right? :)
The cutting edge is a quarter inch? Isnt that a bit thick? Perhaps .025?
Need to zero out that caliper!!! lol Its not a half inch thick.
Just saw the SS Hawk vid that Jason uploaded, Ben. Yes, please. Score some of those when they're available. In fact, maybe you could get the ball rolling and get the guys to put it on the website so I can be notified when they're in stock?
I was just pointing out to the other commenter that you were wrong in the video. And, well, answering his question. I AM glad you're so comprehensive with these overviews. It's really weird, when I think about it, that you're competing for views with people who put hobby amounts of effort into their videos and knowledge, which would be impossible to do on this large a scale. I'd much rather you made the comparison than not had a mistake, but I will comment when you get a knife's name wrong.
Thanks Jason! That's my bad... I'll annotate it.
do you know any knife that is similar to this, probably smaller, that is made as a tie clip for conceal carry?
This would be a good knife if you are thinking about getting the custom but you are not sure if the grip would be comfortable or if you like the design before you spend the money on the custom.
I just bought this yesterday. Aside from a conventional folding razor knife, this is my only other blade weapon. And I think that’s really all it’s designed for. Defense. Yeah it’s small and you can’t skewer someone with it but if you need to get someone off you and give yourself a chance to get away from an attack, this small blade will def get their attention. And yes of course any sharp blade can be lethal but that’s not really what this is for imo. I’d rather have the option to do less than lethal than only the option to grab my gun.
Do you think you could add a "wish list" to bladehq? I have a bunch of knives lined up to buy and I'd like to have them on a wish list. Keep up the great vids!
I want a half an inch thick knife!
I thought that was a V2 with the wharncliff blade.
Is the blade type a Sheepsfoot or wharncliffe?
Dude, calibrate that caliper. There's no way its a half inch thick!
I will probably just buy the actual silent soldier just cause its not that bad of a price
If only it wasn't Wharncliff...
I'll probably snag a SS with belly when I get some money
