    I made these yesterday. Froze them with parchment paper in between each one. Took out of freezer and microwaved for 20 seconds and patted moisture out with a paper towel. These are the best wraps I have eaten! I thought they'd taste coconutty, but they don't! Very happy with this recipe and will be making this a lot in the future!! Thanks for another great recipe Elsie!!

    Thank you so much for sharing this recipe. One of the easiest and tastiest wrap recipe that does taste like a wrap 😂.I once bough a kg of coconut flour and the recipe I tried was a failure. I then thought to myself what am I going to do with all the coconut flour? So glad to have come across your recipe, I have made your recipe for the 7th time. I usually triple the ingredient and make them. I then store them in the fridge for the week and microwave it for 10 sec before eating it. I recently introduced my sister and mom to Keto and your wrap recipe has been a staple in our diet. Thank you so much 😘💕

    This is the best wraps recipe that I tried so far, it is so easy and works without so many eggs like other recipes. This wrap is very light and fluffy, also stretchy enough to hold fillings in it before cooking. I used it to make Chinese stuffed bun and dumplings at the first try and surprisingly it worked beautifully and tasted even better than normal flour skin. Thanks so much for sharing!

      @@lowcarbrecipeideas Hi Elsie, I finally know your name. I have so many pictures to show you as my feed back for your recipes, I think I am about to try all your recipes, as they are very reasonable and balanced, easy to follow, and full of flavors. This wrap is perfect for Chinese stuffing type of cooking, they are stretchy enough to hold fillings and not break when there is a bit moisture while cooking. Very light and fluffy texture, better than flour skins which always feels too dense. Try it out and I am looking forward to seeing more of your creation! Loves!

    I made these tortillas tonight for dinner. I replace baking powder instead as I did not have baking soda. Everything else is exactly as per your instruction. It turned out so well and it was so easy. After dinner I decided to make a new batch with the 7”. Perfect, easier and faster as I was more confident. I let it cool and stored in a glass container in the fridge for the next few days. This is definitely a winner. I will make one of your bread and then buns as soon as I find time. They all seems easy with few ingredients and inexpensive. Thank you for spending the time to explained why and how to achieve the same results as you do. You have done the hard work of researching and experimenting for us. Much love ❤️ your way.

    Out of all the recipes I have tried, these are THE BEST! I love how spongey the dough becomes, like gluten, but not! I’m going to make blueberry pancakes out of these next time. I love Chinese food, and since this reminds me of gluten, I bet you could take the dough and shape it into a loaf and steam it or cook it in the microwave, then slice it like meat and dip it in a sauce or maybe even marinate it with 5 spice powder, soy sauce, thinly sliced and lightly stir-fried shiitake mushrooms, carrots and celery. Maybe add some boiled peanuts, too (similar to Buddha’s delight). Can’t wait to try it out.

    you're a genius! thank you for this wonderful recipe, I also tried using 1 tsp xanthan gum at first because I only have whole psyllium husk but it will not duplicate the elasticity given by psyllium husk, it was crumbly.. so I used whole psyllium husk on same measurement of the video and it didn't cause any problem for me, at last it was a success. replacing PH with Xanthan gum didn't do this bread any justice.

    So I just made these. I wasn’t excited, I’ve made so many coconut flour breads, I just hate the taste of coconut flour in breads. I’m not even sure why I bothered to try yet another one.
    But man, am I glad I did! These were seriously amazing. They were easy to make, and turned out tender, bread like, with a slight chew! How is that possible? I did add a t of nutritional yeast to a half batch for flavor, I’ve made hundreds of keto breads, and I love nutritional yeast in breads. Maybe that helped with the coconut flavor? I don’t know. All I know is these were awesome.
    I also used baking powder, not soda, as I wanted it to rise and didn’t think it would without an acid for the baking soda. I made them in my little tortilla press, some had thin parts that I could see through , those parts got crispy so I’m thinking I’ll do that if I want hard shells ( fold them before they cook and harden, maybe add some corn extract). Some I made with thicker parts, I loved those so much! It was very naan like! Only the faintest, not offensive flavor of coconut… I’ll feed one to the hubby and check back here. He’s super picky and if he likes them then they taste like the real deal. He hates most keto foods.
    I cannot express enough that the texture is so very much like a tortilla, or if thicker, like naan… these are really really good

    • @lowcarbrecipeideas
      @lowcarbrecipeideas  4 роки тому +1

      The psyllium husk powder is important to make the dough flexible for moulding and holding everything together. You can try replacing with ground chia or flaxseed with same ratio. Frankly I have not tried this so not sure how the texture will turn out. I highly recommend you use psyllium husk powder

    Hi,
    can the coconut oil be replaced with olive oil. Also on a previous flatbread I made with almond flour, they blew up like little balloons, do you think I rolled them out too thick, I was able to push them down though, so they were okay.
    Thanks, Colin.

    • @lowcarbrecipeideas
      @lowcarbrecipeideas  4 роки тому

      Yes you can replace with olive oil. I think the almond wrap problem may be due to the baking soda. I have experienced using a different brand of baking soda and my buns also looked like almost exploding. I think some brands are too strong like double acting. So i switched to my regular brand and the problem was solved

    • @lowcarbrecipeideas
      @lowcarbrecipeideas  3 роки тому +1

      @@archie591 If you are using pre ground psyllium powder which is much more concentrated then only a small amount like 1 to 2 tsp is required. Also some coconut flour are more absorbent than others so you may need to adjust the water. If you find the dough is very thick and dry that means your coconut flour is more absorbent so you need to add more water until you get the right consistency of the dough.
