      I'm 4 months into my human flag training and I'm following this routine. I'm currently on step 5 and even just that is very impressive at the local gym! You know what really helps? Some light 2 or 2.5 lbs ankle weights. I try most exercises with them, even if it's just for 1 or 2 seconds, and then when I take them off I feel super light and powerful! Oh one thing that helps is before you can swing your legs up to get upside down, do a climb to get yourself upside down so you can know what it's like to hold yourself in that position. Gotta have the grip strength for sure! Then just slowly climb down to get safely back on the ground.

    • @zod-engineering-welding
      @zod-engineering-welding 2 місяці тому

      Here's two tricks: 1. Climb yourself with your feet into the upside down position so you can learn what's it's like to be in that position and the grip strength needed to suspend yourself. Once you can hold for about 15-20 seconds, your grip strength is good. 2. Practice the up-kick with 2 or 2.5 lb ankle weights. Do the up-kick as fast as you can, even though you won't be able to. You basically trick your mind into thinking your legs are heavier and your nervous system starts to recruit more muscles. Then when you take them off, still kick as fast as you can, and you'll see you'll be able to kick a lot faster and the momentum will carry you upwards a lot better!

      All straight arm strength like the human flag and front and back levers put a lot of stress on the joints. And the taller and heavier you are the more stress involved. Forget about the 21-day claim in the title because that is impossible. Just take your time with the progressions and don't rush them. Also look for some other tutorials that will give you different types of prehab exercises to help prevent injuries.
