EDIT: My list of materials, refine to needed other types: Gold, Silver, Atlantideum (>Pugneum), Oxygen (>Carbon), Copper (>Chromatic Metal), (Ionized) Cobalt, Cadmium, Uranium/Phosphorus/Dioxite (>Ferrite>F+F++), Sodium (Nitrate), Salt (Chlorine), Tritium (>Di-Hydrogen>Jelly). Acid, Unstable Gel, Stasis Device (1 stack 155M bucks). Maybe Repair Kit, Ship Aug., Suit Aug. (or drop pod charts), Multitool aug., Echo Locator, Inverted Mirror (nanites 1:95), Harmonic Brain. EDIT2: Dough, Silicate, Radiant Shard
Actually. Better start is to bring modules you can sell for nanites. On the expedition terminal, once you reach the anomaly, you can copy you best ship and multitool to transfer to the expedition for 2200 nanites each. Do as you wish with this info. Cheers!
Good tips! I like that they added a way for us to start expeditions on our main saves. I don't know if it would be possible but it would be cool to have a sort of an "expedition playlist" by the time they end updates for the game that allows us to replay the expeditions whenever we want.
This is Exactly what i want. The ability to select either past Expedition, at will.
Lots of great recommendations for technology and resources to send over, but I think you should have emphasized at the start of the video that if you start the expedition from a creative save, then you won't be able to bring resources back from the end of the expedition to your main save. By "resources" I'm referring to items, tech, nanites, credits, and quicksilver. And it looks like you can even effectively duplicate your strongest technologies by copying your starship! This is something that I think is a huge benefit of this new and improved system, and I wouldn't want anyone to unknowingly miss out.

I never got into NMS. I am glad that HG has been continuously working on it since the launch debacle. Is it worth getting in 2024?
I just bought it a few days ago and yeah, it's worth it (imo). Plus, you can play for free until Monday so might as well try it. It's on sale too if you decide to buy it. Plenty of discord groups and sites/apps for friends and info.
Absolutely worth it... It's for all kinds of players... The ones who play games to relax and unwind and others who like to challenge themselves through survival / permadeath modes / and pvp and pve and many who like to work together in building communities who share similar interests including building (literally anything you can dream of...) then there is ship hunting the coolest procedurally generated star fighters and space ships... And so much more with a decent in-depth mysterious lore... It's totally worth it!
but what about my ships and multitools? or even my fleet? i will loose them? or i can re-colect them after the expedition?

Do I need to complete a mission to begin the expedition terminus
Expeditions are released by HG on occasion, so we all are waiting for it to be unlocked now.
There are no Expeditions currently.
Ok I have a huge problem. I logged on for the first time in forever, and my main account was in an expedition. It says in the log that; all 5 phases are complete and to head to the Anomaly for my rewards, but under the actual expedition it says non are complete, and it won't even let me interact with the expedition milestones. I don't understand what's happening. I can't make any progress it seems
Anyone else run into a weird thing with the atlas helmet? If you use the construct chest and try to use colour red for secondary on helmet it will be pink

Don't play it's completely lazy they will have you sit though 50+ loading screens going back and fourth from across the galaxy to your base I'm still jumping though 14+ jumps to get to one stupid mission it's completely lazy of the entirety of the devil for doing this it's frustrating asf and it's going to drive me insane there is nothing fun about sitting and watching your ship animation back to back to back I will go as far as to say this is an evil act from them have anyone else deleted thier game when you jump 14 plus jumps and still don't see your objective in sight no? Well I did and I will not be downloading again I. Going to just play dl2 and wait for the update droping in a few days because no mans sky completely lost me with this one

I think this is amazing way to go and think it will make the game never ending. By just adding expeditions and building a mind blowing amount of them.
They got boring for me though unfortunately.
DON'T use a past save atm. It will be overwritten as the expedition and you'll never be able to play. The expedition is broken on xbox. Youll be dashboarded and crashed every few secinds to minutes. In 10 minutes i crashed 15x. Just a heads up on xbox.
same here; I have lost a 330 hr save and I did not even choose to use it. I chose a new save and it somhow overwrote both of the saves contained in it, this a HUGE step backwards worst bug for 7 yrs I am gutted.
@@vintagejakkerAnd if you restore a backup ? Still doesn’t work ? Edit : Just sawitwas for Xbox, but I did lose my main save on pc but fortunately made a copy of the game files before starting so got every save back.
Oof that hurts! :( Glad I play on pc, don't want to lose my 3000+ hours.
I make regular backups of the contents of `%appdata%\HelloGames\NMS\st_manynumbershere`.
e.g. `C:\Users\myusername\AppData\Roaming\HelloGames\NMS\st_manynumbershere` and just put that folder in a zipfile (about 20mb).
Maybe you can do a similar thing on xbox before you start a new game?
When you finish expedition... how does it got back to normal save?? just reset back to like it was before?
Just dont want to risk anything,, I'll just start expedition ith new save like normal..
You go back to the terminal, you get the prompt to return to normal and to send goodies back as well.
It’s a new creative save though which he said you could bring your loot to your normal save which is wrong. It’ll only bring your goodies back into the creative save 😡
@@numi1023 it brings them back to whatever save you started the expedition in. Your pre-expedition save being your "normal" save vs. a fresh save going straight to the expedition.

I don't know, I thought the point of the expeditions was to go out and do all the stuff, just seems like you are cheesing it...
Tell that to the pc players who don't even do these and just edit their saves to give them the rewards.

Agreed. I had to laugh that the guy who comes up with new challenges like no starter ship just to make the game harder,is advocating for making the expedition so much easier. 🤦🏻♂️😂 I ALWAYS want to go into expeditions with nothing.
@scubasteve2189 at its very hardest. This game isn't very hard at all. So for those of us who just want to get the rewards without spending hours mining copper and get back to building. These are helpful videos. But go on, flex away.

If the expeditions aren’t fun for you and you just want the rewards as fast as possible, sure. 🤷🏻♂️ It’s just a little funny when Beebs, who tortures himself and others with tedious, difficult challenges finds a way to cheese the expedition to make it faster and easier. 😂

guys, just a warning, when you put stuff into the expedition box, once you’ve picked it up in your expedition, you will NOT be able to get it back in your primary save. made this mistake when i decided that i would just make an expedition save so i could keep my regular primary save, and lost basically all my loot
You can if you start the expedition with an existing save though!

This implies that you can only transfer items one time. Is it not possible to switch games and transfer more items again?
I tried it, and it was not possible.

Something strange is happening with the saves. I went to an existing save that was a past expedition it crashed. Went in again and I am wearing the Omega Helmet. Haven't even started the expedition yet.
It's nice that they added this feature. I personally would prefer to play expeditions with a fresh save without any help which gives me the best experience and highest challenge. But for some players who just want to get the rewards with as less effort as possible, it's a great method.
You can still do this with an existing save, you don't have to transfer items. The nice part of using an existing save is that at the end, you can return loot to your main and not use an additional save slot if you don't want to.
That's strange I selected a load of resources to take with me but for some reason they haven't transferred over?
I think you have to interact with the same console on the Space Anomaly after you get there in the expedition mode, they should be stored there.

For the event expeditions, yes. You finish the expedition and bring the rewards back to your main save file.
@@anthonygameryou can’t bring anything back to a new save if you do this. You cannot create a new save, start the exposition and then bring everything back to a different save. I found out the hard way
