This is my first expedition, due to not having to start a new save, hopefully they put previous expeditions up on the terminus for new players to obtain the cool stuff.
They do a Redux at the end of the year for 5 expeditions. I didn't realize what the expedition patch was when it came out so I came wandering in at number 3 Cartographers. At the end of the year, they did the first redux, and I missed 1 again. I did get exp 2. Which is my favorite. They never went back to 1, and I wanted it so bad. I don't think they can go back there now with the massive game changes. So this last redux, they gave the rewards for 1 in the redux of 3. So at the end of this year, you should be able to get at least 5 of them. it just depends on which 5 they offer. Over time they might repeat last year. I hope at least once they offer them all over again. I don't think they can go back to 1 though with all the changes. I am just assuming that, and you know the rules for assuming lol.
I never had done the expeditions prior, did omega on my normal save. Collected rewards after went back the next day just to make sure I collected everything and I noticed expedition1-11 rewards up.
@@tdewtx I really hope they change things up now that we have the new terminal. Instead of condensing 3-4 expeditions into a single month, it'd be cooler if they replayed 3-4 previous full expeditions throughout the year, specifically during times when HG is quietly cooking up an update and now much is going on in the community. Similar to how we get weekend missions, it'd be cool if previous expeditions were on a rotation every 2 months or so, and each new expedition would just get added to that rotation!
The game is cool but man my PC wasn't able to handle it. The learning curve can be steep. I remember just following where the game tells me to go and creating tunnels in the process, when I finally fixed the ship and went to where it wanted me to, I ran out of fuel in the middle of the trip and I remember getting them was quite a hassle so I just didn't play it again because of the stress not necessarily because of the gameplay necessarily but my slow ass PC😂.
I took a break right before echoes and the moment i saw the pirate freighters i verbally asked how to obtain one. My disappointment was immeasurable when i found out it wasn't available for ownership... until omega, where i can still feel my legs shaking upon discovering i can own one.
So I started no man’s sky for the first time on the expedition trail, and loved it so much that the second trial was over I bought it!!!! And have been addicted to watching videos on no man’s sky
Something also worth mentioning about the eggs you get through the optional milestone is if you didn't do the expedition you originally got those in they will unlock as expedition rewards for all your saves. I didn't have the whispering companion egg before this and after finishing that optional milestone I can redeem it on any save
Something i would absolutely love in nms is if we could create our own full navy with multiple freighters each with their own squadrons and frigates and they would have their own commanders that we would have to hire for however many units per set amount of playtime and we would be able to send them out to respond to distress signals we recive from around the galaxy.
I played this game from the beginning and as far as I can remember it was free. Now it’s $19 and 3 times the game it began as. What people do t realize is that each update would qualify as a (separately purchased) DLC in any other game, and they’re totally free.
Freighters haven't always been the same. Back in the early iterations there was actually 2 hangar layouts. There was the one the modern layout is based on where the stairs go up towards the front, but originally, there was a second one with stairs going both to the front and back of the ship. The set to the front would put you on the bridge, while the one towards the back would go to your base.
I miss the old format. Why would have hangar access direct to the bridge? What if you get boarded? Every single visitor has to pass through the control room? Thats just silly. 😂 I always built a security checkpoint between the stairs and the bridge cus that made sense. I like the look of the new freighter parts... but I prefer the old style. e Everything is so big and open, I used to fit 20 refiners in the space 4 refiner rooms take. Same with farming rooms. Its a space ship... there wouldnt be rooms with huge high vaulted ceilings and one thing in them. I miss being able to build on the bridge too.
@@gwoody4003 While I appreciate the sentiment and agree with your first point, the reality is, you don't actually get visitors. So it's designed for the players' ease of use and optimization, not realistic inevitabilities. I 100% agree with your second point. I don't like that the rooms are our only option now, at least not without some glitch building. I'd like to be able to place some normal refiners too, planters and the standing trade terminal. At least so I could place some outside. I'd be fine if they could only be used in the exterior spaces.
@@Lordoftheapes79 oh I know. But I build with practical use in mind. But ut would sure be awesome if now and then you did have to defend your freighter from an NPC boarding party.
I know its not a NMS ish thing, But some enemy npc which shoot and fight the player would be a cool addition, especially when you board a big vessel after disabling it. You can have a wave at the landing bay, one at the narrow corridor and the last at the main control room. We already do combat with the sentinels, might as well add a few npc s right ?
I've been playing for about 30 hours so far, and I did the first phase of Omega and was working on trying to complete it rapidly, unfortunately didn't, however it did give me a significant boost in my gaming experience and learning adaption, now I'm working on the finishing the final steps of the final story mission, and as well as the atlas path and side quests, currently crushing a sentinel interceptor with nearly 1600 ly per warp, slowly looking for better
I'm a new player that just started playing on the first free to play weekend, and when I finally had time to play uninterrupted I couldn't put the game down. Needless to say I ended up buying it given the half off sale! I've thurouguly enjoyed the experience, but during the expedition I kind of just felt like I was doing random missions that didn't feel like it had a throughline. Like, why did I need to make a liquid explosive and proceed to not use it? After completing the expedition, the game throwing me off the deep end with what feels like 5 different main questlines is a lot and I've been eager to learn more. It makes sense that I'm getting repeat rewards as I built out my base in the Artemis & Apollo quests.
Just a tip in case you didnt know, expedition rewards/quicksilver purchases are account wide so any new save you start will have these as available once you reach the Anomaly. Just in case you wanted to see what a fresh normal start is like but the thought of losing expedition/QS items was puttig you off. Survival mode is a whole new experience too if you're feeling up for more of a challenge that forces you to play in a much more thoughtful careful manner. The games difficulty settings are also highly customizable and editable at any point
As an experienced player, this expedition felt like a long tutorial. Maybe that was the intent to ease new players into the game since it has a lot of systems and content added over the years.
It'd be really cool if they made the starborn their own class of ship, kinda like solar and sentinel ships, where they're essentially fighters but instead of boosting weapons and maneuverability, it focuses primarily on maneuverability and speed.
Starship races, especially with a custom ship class, would be so fun! Betting, rewards, unlockable trophies...and maybe a good way to introduce ship customization to the game
@@thayneironworks what if they added a function where when you dismantle ships you get all the parts from it, and then are able to create your own from whatever parts you collect
what blows my mind the most is what made no man sky work was it their tools their understanding or was it the umbrellas their under and all luck of being where they are
I also tried it out for the first time during the free trial. After an hour or so of playing I thought this might be the next new thing I was looking for on console, so I actually bought it on the Switch. I liked it so much I bought the Steam version on PC as well while it was still on sale, and have completed the Expedition on both platforms. I was really impressed at how well it ran on the Switch; such a cool port! Accidentally falling into a massive, flooded underground cave system when I was shooting terrain, and had no idea there were even cave systems, was definitely the coolest exploration experience I've ever had in a game! I've already made a spreadsheet to track all my planets and resources and I think I'm up to like 10 bases now :P
I was in the process of getting PCVR working on my Quest 3 when the free expedition weekend hit. My VR wasn't fully set yet and it ran really rough, but the taste of the game in VR (I'd played off and on since launch) re ignited my desire to play the game like never before. The VR experience is amazing and the new improvements to the game, make it easy to pick it back up and start finding new stuff. Thanks for everything you do for the community Kanaju, the new station signs are dope. 🤘🧙♂🤘
This is amazing (expeditions terminus). I have recently gotten tired of seasonal style activities in all games because I want access to my eternal/main file stuff. With that terminal I'll be able to enjoy seasonal stuff with some of my usual stuff and then bring all my gains back to the normal save. Perfection. (in case you're wondering, it especially drives me crazy in diablo 4. I'm waiting for that game to fix 3 or 4 main things and then I'll play it again, but only in eternal realm).
This was my first expedition. Really fun! Learned a lot about the game, like putting power gen stuff inside bases and finding, by accident, that you can collect oxygen from the hazardous puffball type plants. There's also a damaged container you can loot behind the multi-tool vendor in space stations which I completely missed before. I also had no idea you can put power generators inside your base so you don't have to faff about with wires.
Fun fact about the expedition summary/rewards screen: it doesn't quite understand negative numbers. I had a penalty in exactly one category (NPC standings, because I raided some freighters for quick cash and never bothered to kiss and make up after) and it managed to underflow the entire credit reward. Best guess is they stored each reward value in the same class of integer as the player's credit storage, forgetting that it's an unsigned class. Whoops.
I started with an expedition because I just went "It's probably Seasonal Diablo 3" so I hope when the 2 weeks left ends I can just keep everything and use it as my main file.
I came across a Korvax that was flailing, desperate for...something, like their life depended on it. I gave them the wrong thing, and they shuddered, and slumped over as it *permanently shut down*
I first got NMS at launch, but at the time it was lack of understanding this type of game (and lack of online knowledge) that made me stop after a couple of planets. When it went free to play, I played under 2 hrs, then bought it again. Now I’m almost 80 hrs in and loving it more than I could ever have imagined. It now is what I wanted it to be then. Actually, I’m way more impressed w what they have done…the vastness of opportunity being anything u want, and all updated for the community for free. Incredible.
The photonix core made me happy too. I'm one of those players that want to fill in all slots of a collection in a game. And when I can't... oh boy. Looking forward to "Pipe" № 1 being obtainable once again. P.S.: Also liked the catalogue upgrade, but, there was an issue with that change. Don't know about the rest of you but everything that I had previously recorded, aside from "Wonders" was wiped clean.
I've come across a good many NPC Missions. Though, as someone who likes to explore, scan everything in sight, the missions make it even harder to complete if you already scanned everything but the few extremely hard-to-find rare fauna, and minerals/flora that you have not scanned. Always best to not scan everything you see before you go to them. Still quite fun to do even though you may have everything but more so for getting the '+1 " (insert race) " Standing' you also get.
You forgot the most important part about the Runic lens’s. It doubles not just as a mining lazer but also as a cloaking device saving you one more tech slot.
I played this for the first time during the free weekender and bought it the day after it ended! Obviously I haven't seen how it started out and has evolved over the last 6 years but I hope it continues to evolve. I'd particularly love to see the addition of a shipyard where I can either buy ships, change my existing ship parts or build my own ship from scratch. There also needs to be a ship management screen where I can easily see what ships I have and what systems are installed.
The Omega Expedtion is like a New Player jump start. You get set up with a cool ship, a freighter, a home base on an awesome white grass paradise planet. You got enough quicksilver to get a decent haul of stuff, all the tutorial you need to understand how to play... Its genius to couple it with a free to play period. The first hit is for free but if you come back, you better have 20, G. 😂 All these new people can try the game beyond the first like... 20 hours that the New Save tutorial period takes.... which I know for a fact has chased people away. Several of my friends quit before ever making it out the first system cus they got bored and frustrated.
7:50 It's also the only currency in the game which you don't have to spend to buy almost anything with it. Weirdly enough despite being a known exploit for months already. I won't deny that it's incredibly convenient for anyone who don't want to do repeatable missions (which get boring after 10-20 runs anyway), but why they decided to make unlocks account-wide while store QS in the savegame I have no idea. For those unaware: spend QS and load last savepoint (when you landed on the station). Your QS will be back in your pocket while things you previously bought will be available to activate for free now. Repeat until you unlock everything you need, reload last time and activate everything. Note that a few items in that list actually deposit an item into your inventory (like an egg). These are treated differently. You won't retain this egg when you reload and the egg item in the shop will display counter of how many of those are there to claim yet. So, these are only items you can't cheese with this exploit and you actually might be able to deplete their stock this way if you wish locking yourself out of these items completely unless someone give you one. There's quite a large stock, though. So, this is very unlikely to happen on accident.
tbh i hope they will add eventually that the multitools types all have a unqiue ability like the sentinal ones where one looks like a luger or the royal multi tool i believe its called
Having new missions is awesome, the thing I most enjoyed about No man is the expedition rewards hopefully we can one day we can get past expedition rewards
I played NMS before because I had a trial of gamepass. Tried it later with the second omega weekend and bought the game. The expedition really helped jump start me this time. I've been playing too much Helldivers to play NMS recently though.
i quit playing after updating my computer and swapping os's meant that most of my expedition rewards were forgotten, so uninstalled and never reinstalled since expedition 7 i think it was
Even if the game stopped doing updates, at this point they've done 7 years of free updates. They aren't getting more money to dev from the people who already bought. Your 60$ 7 years ago doesn't keep contributing to them. It's OK for games to stop being updated
I'd pay big money for a content heavy free update. I'm really ready for the game to "die" ie hello games stop updating it. Then hg release the creation kit so modders can take over. There are so many absolutely amazing mods that should be in game.
Btw if you use a main save in expedition and get a new model Frieghter different from the main save, when you return there is a bug where the docking bay doesn’t connect right for some models. So far I’ve seen that if you got a pirate Frieghter during expedition when you had a Dreadnaught or Star destroyer previously, when you return to normal you will have the body of the main save ship with a detached floating version of the pirate docking bay/base it’s unnerving, especially for me since I only play in VR.
Man, I know its cliche but seeing these new plauers come in from the weekend and how the gane grew from 1.0 is so surreal, it grew from a great game to a awesome game!
As a player that has a Perma Death character with more then 100 hours on it.. I saw an unique and cool potential on the Expedition Terminus, the hability to do a gameplay inside another .. the Expedition brings the dificulty of the game down, and get rid of the inventory restrictions.. didn't know if you are above the death sentence if you die on it, didn't tryed out to confirm, but for sure you can take advantage of that features to safely improve your main save wealth, stashes and other stuff where you can get yourself in danger!..
I claimed their freighter but when I exited it it kept shooting me so I destroyed it lol, it was super buggy, like in that Professor Cynical video. Then I summoned my dreadnought in the other system and it was fine.
Nice list. I started playing at the start of the 1st free weekend & bought it on the 3rd day. I absolutely adore it & and dont want to play another game. I starting gaming again a few years ago & and have stuck to games without combat. Bought a steamdeck last summer and this was on my wishlist from then. It was a perfect reintroduction to more challenging games especially with the difficulty levels. I did get stuck a few times so the tutorial does need some more work. I am starting the main quest now so it is making more sense. Definitely getting the next game they make.
Nice movie about the expedition, congrats! Usually expeditions are a great way for new players to start the game, but the last one is even better :-) I did the Omega on my both accounts, XBox PC and Steam. And with Steam I did it twice, because I realized it was better to do with the main save, to be able to bring the quicksilvers. Great MT, great ship and rewards. On my main game in XBox I have an Ice cream factory, maybe now I will change it to biscuit production LOL Have fun!
I was never a big fan of expeditions, but the new terminal really excites me as it finally feels like something that's integrated into the main game. I hope previous expeditions will be on a rotation where a random one will become available for a month or so during times where HG is silent and not much is going on in the community, I think it'd be a better system than expedition reduxes. Also I think the Atlas Path mission is bugged, I managed to acquire both endings and items, but only one of the two possible missions is displayed in my mission log.. but if I scroll with my mouse wheel through my mission tabs, I can select the other other mission even if the tab for it isn't being displayed. I assume the change to the ending is just a foundation for what they have in mind, because it just feels like a single extra step, but I haven't seen anyone else talk about this bug and I worry it'll break my save in future updates if this gets expanded. 😅
Love these update breakdowns! Can’t wait for what 2024 has in store for NMS (and LNF?)! Hope they rerun Leviathan sometime. That’s the only one I haven’t completed.
Thanks for watching and the support! And rerun of Leviathan would be fantastic. That was one of my top 3 favorite expeditions. I'm also hoping we hear more about Light No Fire soon. Then again, Hello Games doesn't advertise too much ahead of time these days.
I absolutely love the design of pirate freighters and especially pirate frigates, they arent even that special compared to other types of frigates but something about them having solar sails
Having the free trial, gave me the chance to try it out for the first time, and id been wanting to play for a long while. Yes, i bought the game. Space is a massive comfort for me, and its been basically the only thing ive played for two weeks now.
@@anditippie5923 definitely doing it between tomorrow and the day after. I thought it was just for a week like the December ones, i generally finish them in a couple sessions
I so sad i missed this event ngl, i literally just bought the game 2-3 days ago after refunding it twice off my account years back bc i couldnt stand it (i wasnt a preorder or anything, i gave it a chance back in '18 and then tried again in '20 but neither time i made it more than 20 minutes into even just the tutorial quests) but ive now racked up around 30 hours in 3 days and i cannot stop, gotta say tho the first 5-7 hours as a new player are uh... how do i say this nicely... you have to WANT to like the game to make it past the first 5-7 hours of learning systems and having names and lore crammed down your throat before you even know how to properly pilot your own ship 😐- its terrible im so sorry, but once you make it past that and are flying around on your own comfortably and starting to actually seek specific ships and planets or building up a proper base somewhere THEN the game is beautiful and honestly the most addicting thing ive ever played. I just got done making the beginings of a portal base and im thinking of starting to record gameplay for it bc its just so much fun 😃 i spent 10 hours last night doing nothing but going planet to planet system to system scanning EVERYTHING bc i had finally gotten a bunch of S class scanner uprades and had a very nice pistol multitool with perfect supercharge slots for my scanner upgrades (bro istg i scanned something for just over 1m units, i was like 5 bowls deep atp tho so i may have been seein things 😂) im also just now finished the artemis quest and am starting the atlas questline, full disclosure i am playing creative rn, my first save tho is basically default settings but with infinite sprint and i did the full atlas quesline on that one bc if when the artemis quest splits off and you can first ask polo for atlas coords and it automatically switches to the atlas quesline instead i thought that was where i was supposed to go for artemis and i didnt realise it was a second questline until i had completed the entire atlas quesline and gotten like 2-3 repeat atlas interactions deep. (So sorry, this is long much love to anyone enjoying the musings of a veey new player 🙃)
Free play for a short time are a common marketing method, several do it, HG should have done it for many years ago (and regularly). The update and expedition were for me at best mediocre. Seems some got confused by having an experimental version for PC Steam. Still with that several issues and bugs at release and beyond. A new freighter, ship, staff, some cosmetics and base stuff, some Twitch drops. Expedition terminal seems nice, but have no option to convert it to a regular save, yet. Also "experience" are not transferred, as discoveries and systems (and time). Just one starship and one multitool and some items/modules (24/8) and currencies. Is mostly play fast to get the rewards, forget the forced repeating of 98% common game mechanics. No other expeditions or mini-missions released so could try out the terminal even more.
Your perspective isn't wrong. It wasn't the most innovative update we've seen. Still, the pirate dreadnought, expedition terminus + rework, and catalog improvements are pretty significant in my book. The NPC missions and Atlas Path ending also add a bit of extra replayability, which is always welcome. All that said, I can respect folks seeing the update as mediocre compared to others we've gotten. It also launched with more bugs than you would expect following a week-long beta. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
@@Kanaju YW! I have little use of the catalog improvements, was not conscious of them before you told about them. I rather have search and sort options for catalogue, galaxy map and teleporters (and able to have more and favorite list). Along some inventory handling improvements. Better systems for frigates and settlements (have posted a detailed suggestion of the latter). As usual peoples play in different ways, so will be variations in likings of course.
I destroyed a pirate freighter and got an S class freighter upgrade. Much better than doing derelict freighters just to get a C class upgrade for 2% more fuel efficiency.
I'm a little upset that I lost my Bibi egg because it wouldnt let me transfer it back to my main save. Not getting to transfer eggs was pretty annoying, but im glad I have the one companion egg from an expedition I missed (biological horror).
oof... I also forgot to pre-order. Bought it moments after launch. Played once and didn't pick it up for three whole years. Now my brother and I, every time there is an update will play a bit. They keep delivering. This is the definition of "actions speak louder than words".
i wish they made it possible to do older expeditions cos i've missed so many not like a give allllll the rewards as i get that doing them on release should be where ya get the bulk of the stuff but like the patches and some upgrades and such
I did one of the NPC planetary missions, well, I didn’t actually do it because it was to scan creatures on the planet but I had already scanned all of them on the planet so that mission was hard locked. Had to abandon it 😢
I've been playing the game for a couple of months now i was a Destiny & Division player for many years..i played no mans sky around 7 years ago didn't enjoy it..I have now bought the game money well spent the change for me was unbelievable best game I've had for a long time very enjoyable once you learn the basics of the game I wouldn't mind paying for decent updates to the game in future the small team of creator's deserve it well done to them..
Thanks for the video. I still haven't got the answer though what happens to your items if you played via main save after completing the expedition. What if you wanna transfer your starship you acquired during the expedition to the main save, but you've already maxed out your starships? What happens if you got a freighter? Because you can only own one freighter. Do things in the main save get replaced by the expedition ones or vise versa? Please, somebody answer me this. I'm afraid to play from my main save because of these things. I don't want to lose important stuff.
I genuinely hate that expeditions are limited time. I really want the rewards of this expedition, but my Xbox one can’t really run this game anymore, and I can’t currently afford to buy a new console. But this expeditions rewards are easily my favorite of any expedition in the past. Because ofc my favorite would be the one I can’t play.
I didn’t see the new trailer, I didn’t keep up with the news but this is the first expedition of the year and if we haven’t got everything I’m thinking we will in the next expedition in a few weeks. Obviously because yes we have an expedition terminal now. Which is cool but also the game is constantly evolving. So we will see everything soon.
I've been doing the same but not going back to add to the older bases so it works as a calendar for me somewhat. I can gauge what quarter of what year I built the base by the number of Expedition decals on the wall XD
3:52 I have the same origin story 😭 I was gonna preordered 1 day before launch and i fell asleep before ordering :( that's why I named my original 2016 save "day 1.5 save", because while i played day one i don't hace the preorder ship to prove it 😞
All in all, I like it, but I brought in my 600+ hour main save. Got about halfway through and all of a sudden, it stopped saving my progress. Tried save points, save beacons, the save beacons out of buildings, exiting my ship, reverting my save back, but nothing works. I submitted a ticket, but still nothing. I ended up bringing in a different save and stat to the expedition over with that, but I could really use the quicksilver and nanites on my other save
I regret starting expedition from terminus. There is a bug that vipes your wonders records. Cant redo the atlas path on your main save if you already finished it. And it blocks you from getting the tech.
I love this game, top 10 easy for me, but I hate the fact that Expeditions do not stay up until the new one start. Every time I want, and can play NMS, it happens to have no expeditions running and I’m missing most of them because of that. It’s been years like so and it’s driving me crazy!!! 😢 I mean I want to do them, but I can’t. much love. 😊
Im ok if hello games put some price in updates, ships, cosmetics, money, and other because they deserves it really deserves it. Im playing no man sky since begining and now look at it, its so fucking awesome. Lets appreciate what they have done
I feel like I'm doing something wrong, but I can't start an expedition from my existing save. I've had it almost since the game came out but never thought to do the expeditions, and then hadn't played for a good few years. got back into it this last week but when I go up to the terminus now it just tells me that there aren't any expeditions at this time. Would also be cool to be able to get everything I missed.
Could you make a video about items that are srill in game but are no longer accessible by crafiting, talking about Tetracobalt, advanced ion bateries, atlas relicts ect.? Im really curious- thanks
i got an npc mission but couldn't complete because i had already scanned everything on the planet it was asking me to scan. disappointed because you'd think it would have a way of knowing what mission it was giving you and if it could actually be completed or not based on game progress.
No never !
Nah I'm kidding I pray they do
totally agree and saw this after i made a similar comment xD
@@tdewtx I really hope they change things up now that we have the new terminal.
Instead of condensing 3-4 expeditions into a single month, it'd be cooler if they replayed 3-4 previous full expeditions throughout the year, specifically during times when HG is quietly cooking up an update and now much is going on in the community.
Similar to how we get weekend missions, it'd be cool if previous expeditions were on a rotation every 2 months or so, and each new expedition would just get added to that rotation!
I discovered NMS last weekend during the Free To Play period, bought the game, and played 50 more hours since
Same here. But the learning curve is terrible - how the hell am i supposed to find this lost freighter (and land ;) )? Solved after like 20 h
BRO WHY IS THAT SO TRUE
The game is cool but man my PC wasn't able to handle it. The learning curve can be steep. I remember just following where the game tells me to go and creating tunnels in the process, when I finally fixed the ship and went to where it wanted me to, I ran out of fuel in the middle of the trip and I remember getting them was quite a hassle so I just didn't play it again because of the stress not necessarily because of the gameplay necessarily but my slow ass PC😂.
Wait hold on... The ingredients for the "herbal crunchies"
DID THEY ADD EDIBLES?
Don't tell Australia you know what happened to Rimworld.
they dont have any effect on you so no. but tong give them to your gek friends.
There already weed
I mean, i always thought 'Geknip' was something similar to Catnip, basically drugs
Nip nip buds 😂
I took a break right before echoes and the moment i saw the pirate freighters i verbally asked how to obtain one. My disappointment was immeasurable when i found out it wasn't available for ownership... until omega, where i can still feel my legs shaking upon discovering i can own one.
So I started no man’s sky for the first time on the expedition trail, and loved it so much that the second trial was over I bought it!!!!
And have been addicted to watching videos on no man’s sky
there is also a small teleporter in the nexus to the left under that high balkony that gets you right up to where the giant base teleporter is
Something also worth mentioning about the eggs you get through the optional milestone is if you didn't do the expedition you originally got those in they will unlock as expedition rewards for all your saves. I didn't have the whispering companion egg before this and after finishing that optional milestone I can redeem it on any save
starborn runner felt very nostalgic to me as i played wipeout a LOT on the first playstation
The game was 60 bucks at release.
For you maybe it was, not everyone is on a PlayStation. So, aside from your trolling, for me it was free, like I said.
yeah sure it was @@SinesOfLife2023
It was a ps exclusive at release
@@SinesOfLife2023 shut tf up, the game has never been free. Only if you count getting it for free from xbox game pass
I always built a security checkpoint between the stairs and the bridge cus that made sense.
I like the look of the new freighter parts... but I prefer the old style. e
Everything is so big and open, I used to fit 20 refiners in the space 4 refiner rooms take. Same with farming rooms. Its a space ship... there wouldnt be rooms with huge high vaulted ceilings and one thing in them. I miss being able to build on the bridge too.
That would be a good idea to re-add for, say, a Sentinel Dreadnought
@@gwoody4003 while things like that are cool, that's not a mechanic I have any interest in for NMS.
still hoping they add those in atmosphere derelicts to the base game
Imagine they had a timer on them before they get pulled into the ground/orbit. This is assuming you were talking about freighter derelicts.
@justanidiotmk2749 that'd be really cool. And then you could tag it and salvage it once it lands while the goods are warm.
I found a derelict in the atmosphere during this expedition. It was definitely a bug and it made me fall off the planet sideways
I want more combat related updates
Me too! Hopefully we get some new combat encounters this year. Thanks for watching!
I know its not a NMS ish thing,
But some enemy npc which shoot and fight the player would be a cool addition, especially when you board a big vessel after disabling it.
I love the Dreadnoughts. And I play No Mans Sky exclusively in VR so the battles are extra intense.
The fact we can get the pirate dread as a freighter is awesome enough! Thanks for letting me know!
@@TazyBabythat would be really cool but I would assume very labor intensive.
@@Manie230 but it would be so cool, imagine what ship meet ups would be like
@@TazyBaby true. I would love to do that. I would love that feature but realistically speaking I think that’s a pretty hard thing to implement.
what blows my mind the most is what made no man sky work was it their tools their understanding or was it the umbrellas their under and all luck of being where they are
Dont waste to much time getting lost in coding its getting automated faster then even im comfortable with
I just want to be able to customize the colour on my mech after the upgrade! Such a weird restriction have no idea why they do this
Ive always Loved NMS then i tried it in PSVR2 and now i cant play it flat screen and wow mind blown its incredible..
🤘🧙♂🤘
New subscriber here. Just wanted to say I love your video style, your joy really comes over and I love the positivity.
At the freighter part, i got a S class dreagnought a day before the expedition came out😁
This is amazing (expeditions terminus).
Question: How do I bring my loot from the expedition to my normal save file? E.g quicksilver
@@critdaddysama4656Quicksilver is already supposed to be shared between all saves.
As of 5 minutes ago, I just completed the expedition and man was it something. I'm just glad I was able to keep those companions.
Whoops.
Yeah I thought the game just figured a 1 unit fine overall was in order since I was able to transfer all the real rewards over lol
I started with an expedition because I just went "It's probably Seasonal Diablo 3" so I hope when the 2 weeks left ends I can just keep everything and use it as my main file.
I came across a Korvax that was flailing, desperate for...something, like their life depended on it. I gave them the wrong thing, and they shuddered, and slumped over as it *permanently shut down*
They need to make expeditions always available bc i upgraded to the ps5 version and lost all my expedition progress pretty bs if you ask me
Just wish I could do the past expeditions when I want to. Either way it's always a game I come back to, regardless of opinions around the internet.
I wish we could too! Thanks for watching!
😂
All these new people can try the game beyond the first like...
8:07 wow those bettles are really cool
tbh i hope they will add eventually that the multitools types all have a unqiue ability like the sentinal ones where one looks like a luger or the royal multi tool i believe its called
Having new missions is awesome, the thing I most enjoyed about No man is the expedition rewards hopefully we can one day we can get past expedition rewards
You can also fix the freeze after ending the mission by going into camera mode quickly before the window pops. Hit accept and it's fine.
A Whispering companion?! :O Nothing better to go with Horrific Flesh-Helmet that I love to sport 😍🥰
I played NMS before because I had a trial of gamepass. Tried it later with the second omega weekend and bought the game. The expedition really helped jump start me this time. I've been playing too much Helldivers to play NMS recently though.
i quit playing after updating my computer and swapping os's meant that most of my expedition rewards were forgotten, so uninstalled and never reinstalled since expedition 7 i think it was
Super fun update just wish the new space stations came with
Don't worry it'll be here before you know it!
I'm always pro "let them cook" when it comes to HG. The space stations just aren't quite ready yet I'm sure.
this is the best qol update in a while. Hoping for some love to outposts, the player led ones, on some of the next ones
When get paid by the pirates for sparing their lives but still destroy them you don't get tech for your Freighter
The scaled worlds are so good looking. Found one the day before yesterday.
I ended up buying the game after free to play weekend. Can't wait to finish the expedition!
Having the free trial, gave me the chance to try it out for the first time, and id been wanting to play for a long while.
Yes, i bought the game. Space is a massive comfort for me, and its been basically the only thing ive played for two weeks now.
i love youre uptades reviews .
Thanks for the content and I brought No Man’s Sky previously on the PlayStation 4 and now replaying it with a new save and have lost my original save.
I pre-ordered for the PC when it was coming out. I haven't tried the new mini expack they put out. This makes me want to try it out.
Man, i completely missed this release! Took a break from NMS to play my backlog
That expedition helmet looks so cool
I believe it’s still going on for another two weeks! If you don’t get distracted, it takes about 4 to 6 hours to complete. Or, for me, 8 to 10 hours.😂
I see my Wipeout XL "car" from the 90's as a ship to get now... I know what I must do...
Now that they have pirate dreadnoughts and frigates, they gotta add pirate starships
oof... I also forgot to pre-order. Bought it moments after launch. Played once and didn't pick it up for three whole years. Now my brother and I, every time there is an update will play a bit. They keep delivering. This is the definition of "actions speak louder than words".
I already owned it, but convinced my ftiend to try it out for free and he saw it was on sale and bought it.
I like adding Fire Wine to the biscuit to make it spicy!
N Murder Drones: BISCUITS!!!!!?!!!??!?! YES
I wish that if you had already completed the atlas path you could go back and redo the choice to see the new version
i wish they made it possible to do older expeditions cos i've missed so many not like a give allllll the rewards as i get that doing them on release should be where ya get the bulk of the stuff but like the patches and some upgrades and such
I did one of the NPC planetary missions, well, I didn’t actually do it because it was to scan creatures on the planet but I had already scanned all of them on the planet so that mission was hard locked. Had to abandon it 😢
I've been playing the game for a couple of months now i was a Destiny & Division player for many years..i played no mans sky around 7 years ago didn't enjoy it..I have now bought the game money well spent the change for me was unbelievable best game I've had for a long time very enjoyable once you learn the basics of the game I wouldn't mind paying for decent updates to the game in future the small team of creator's deserve it well done to them..
i rlly want them to update the inventory and make the items look better the( UI of the icons of the items ), and better narrative
16:06 I’ve done that 3 times, it’s just so great
Wish I knew this before doing the expedition I just want the quicksliver
I was hoping for ship customization.
When ever I build a new base I dedicate a wall to all my expedition decals
I've been doing the same but not going back to add to the older bases so it works as a calendar for me somewhat. I can gauge what quarter of what year I built the base by the number of Expedition decals on the wall XD
3:52 I have the same origin story 😭 I was gonna preordered 1 day before launch and i fell asleep before ordering :( that's why I named my original 2016 save "day 1.5 save", because while i played day one i don't hace the preorder ship to prove it 😞
I am extremely salty that i missed out on this expiditon entirely ive been wanting the old expiditon compaions for years
I bought it instead of using the free to play because I'd been meaning to buy it for a while and it was on sale for 30 dollars.
in pc, you can use save editor to unlock the recipe of the photonix core...
Omg this game have changed so much
I feel like I'm doing something wrong, but I can't start an expedition from my existing save.
