"On the Turning Away" is probably the most beautiful Pink Floyd song. The sequence of notes, vocal or instrumental, act like a secret key which opens he innermost doors to your soul letting all emotions break free. It is a masterpiece.
It's often said of Jimi Hendrix that he could make the guitar talk. David Gilmour can make his guitar sing, cry, wail and scream. Nobody plays guitar with so much emotion and soul as David. He is absolutely unique. Often imitated but never equalled
Jimi could imbue his guitar with the raw emotions of the time... he wasn't a "precise" guitarist by any means, but you can feel the emotion. David is like taking that emotion and focusing it right into your soul. I don't think they can really be compared, but I *do* prefer David's "every note has to mean something" approach.
You are a very beautiful young lady, i have been a Pink Floyd fan for 45 yrs and i play several of there songs on a Yamaha electrical Acoustic 12 string! Many of you are right, there will never be another band like them. Gilmore is an amazing guitarist!
Never apologize for experiencing any kind of emotion while listening to Pink Floyd, your tear involuntarily rolled from your eye as soon as you comprehended the meaning of that phrase. The great mystery of Pink Floyd has always been how each song can mean one thing to one person and completely something else for someone else, it is genuinely a very interpersonal experience. And it can mean something different altogether tomorrow, making their music truly timeless.
Those backing vocalists add so much body to the song. They're barely noticeable until they're shown in the video, then their vocalizing comes through loud-and-clear for the remainder of the song.
This is from my heart. I cannot imagine having lived without having heard PINK FLOYD. 55 continuous years of never ending emotions that always stir all my feelings.
This concert is probably one of the greatest concerts ever performed. It doesn't WOW you with flashy music and fast guitar, but the production quality is immaculate. On top of that the songs they picked was a perfect blend of what Pink Floyd was.

Love your reaction! This is a great song! Omg! I’ve listened to it over and over! 🔥🤘🏽🎸🥂
Love your reactions to this band. You truly do 'get' Pink Floyd
Rick Wright (RIP) is an utter god on the keys. He's definitely the "secret sauce."
Pink Floyd music is so powerful , it makes you reflect on things about your life….Wish You Were Here, comfortably numb, shine on crazy diamond….it goes on and on
This performance just never gets old, ever.
I almost always cry watching Pink Floyd reacts, even though I already know their songs well Pink Floyd always touches my soul.
Floyd, Fleetwood Mac, Rush, Thin Lizzy, Queen are bands we will never se the likes of again.
The mixture of pleasure, yearning and sweet anguish on your face says it all, that reaction comes of PF at its best. David's guitar sings the pure language of his soul, and it pours out and resonates with us, soul to soul, and it is so beautiful. Thank you for posting your reaction to On The Turning Away, it reminds me of why I've loved this band so much for almost 50 years.
I've watched several reactions of this performance and it is the most heartwarming. Add tears of joy and a beautiful smile and.. well.. c'mon!!
Love your honest emotional interpretation of this magnificent piece of music

You are sincere in expressing your emotions. This music appeals to you.
David Gilmour plays such an expressive guitar!
Their music is a pure masterpiece and David put his heart and soul into everything he does. Spent many nights as a young man eyes closed soaking up their music.
1:35 the smile of who knows that something amazing is about to come
Welcome to the heart and soul of PINK FLOYD ! Beautiful reaction. 😎👍
best guitarist all time. no one can tell story`s with his guitar like david gilmour.
Has anyone ever noticed that England seems to produce an enormous amount of legendary musicians? It’s not a huge country… not really small either,, but no where near one of the biggest, but for the number of people vs the number of legends, years at the top!
This sends the tears flowing everytime
The intricacies of that performance is incredible..the innovation is unique and unbelievable
