    This is such a unique shoe. It is by far the best shoe I've put on. I have flat feet and have been off my feet for months due to foot pain and inadequate shoes that didn't fit properly. These are an absolute pleasure to wear and run in!

    The new balance rep came into the store and it was super unstable unfortunately compared to the older version but I guess that’s what you get with more cushioning… sad that all these mild stability shoes are going away…. But I guess it’s the wave! The high cushion craz

      I bet the high stack height craze will go away in a few years. The later 2000s and early 2010s had the minimalist era.

      I was excited when then newest Vongo came out (also with the EVA film). After trying it on, I can say it was the first shoe I've ever worn (since the mid-70s) that forced my foot to excessively pronate. I really miss the light stability shoes of previous eras.

      @@melindareiner9908 yeah that foam is just so soft it’s really not that supportive but I don’t think it’s intended to be a high support shoe.
      I would try an 860v13 or a wave inspire 21 both being also narrower like the newest Vongo & are more supportive and lil stiffer. And both are still posted

      @@Carlosediaz543I was really hoping for this new version of the 860. Fingers crossed, that it might work out. Also like that it's an 8 mm drop.

    I have really bad flat feet, a prior ACL surgery, and really loose knee joints etc. and I have the 860 v13s for general use as a crucial foot aid as I can’t walk properly without them anymore.
    I watched a video saying that even though the v13 was a better all around shoe, the v12 was better suited for walking? Is the v14 a far superior walking shoe than the 2 prior? This is the question I need to know. Cheers.

      The 860v14 are very soft and have very poor arch support. Nothing like version 13. It’s basically a neutral shoe. Sad New Balance is abandoning the stability market.

      @@ck346 Finally! An honest answer. Appreciate you 👍👍👍 good thing I bought a 2nd pair of 13s instead of waiting I concur. I was NB biased. What's your thoughts on HOKAs? My physiotherapist loves them they are her new favorite and she is very hard to win over

      I’ve had success with the hoka arahi. They are not quiet as supportive as 860v13 but close. The Guide 16 was good but the new Guide is very unsupportive also.

    It seems great shoes for durability ! But I was expecting them to be less heavy ( about the same weight of the Vongo v6) ,like a GT 2000 12 from Asics or a Saucony Guide 17.

    do you think these are going to be overall better for people with wide flat overpronating feet? or will the softness of it be lessen the support for someone like me?

    • @Carlosediaz543
      @Carlosediaz543 5 місяців тому +1

      It’s less supportive it’s also pretty narrow so 90% of the people I fit in store need a wide but if your foot it pretty wide I would stay away and maybe try some asics

    What changes (if any) did they make to the tongue of this shoe? I had to return the previous version of this shoe because the top of the tongue dug into and rubbed both of my out ankle bones! This was especially true of my left ankle. It didn’t matter how I positioned the tongue or laced the shoes, it cause me great discomfort during my runs. In all of my years of running, it had never experienced this type of situation before.

      i felt the same w/ the V13. They really messed up the tongue. Too thin and too short. Kept rubbing against my ankle, also felt more on the left one. I thought it was a sample variation thing so I ordered a 2nd pair, and same problem. Gonna give these v14s a chance when they go on sale.

      @@davetroy5706 I figured I wasn’t the only one that experienced issues with this version of the shoe. Luckily, I was able to return them and get a different shoe. If I get the Version 14, I will really try out the fit at my local running store, and will give them a “hard pass” if I get even the littlest concern during the test run!

    New Balance really made a bad change here. Why would they take away the stability in the arch from a stability shoe to make it like the 880? Long term user of the 860 series and these are really unstable.

    • @Echom4-kr5el

      New Balance is sad by testing these shoes with people that will not run in them anyway besides to do a test for clicks. They are not tested with people that actually use them.

      @ck346 3 місяці тому

      @@deshpillay6716 The 860 V14 arch area is to soft now and its not near as stable as the last 13 versions have been. New Balance messed this shoe up. If people don't want stability the 880 has always been available. Not everything has to be neutral, soft and lightweight.

      Mate, I've spent $1000 bucks on various shoes recently and these are absolutely perfect in comparison to every shoe I've put on. I have flat feet and over pronate causing a lot of lower back and hip pain and I could immediately feel these aligning the way I walked and ran. Now I have no pain and can enjoy running again! Firm arch support was killing my feet and could not walk a few steps in shoes made like that. You can actually see my ankles and feet are straight and I can feel how smooth it is to walk or run. I think these are perfect but obviously we're all different. @@ck346
