@@pettyoffndebe163 The problem is that a metal back plate would interfere with wireless charging, so it is not feasible on a flagship phone. @@christ7900 I don’t think that’s the way that they force people to buy new phones. They use the battery health and throttling to do that
@@christ7900 thats false. nowadays phone manufacturers want you to keep your phone for longer so that you keep buying their subscriptions. As for what Kenan said above, no, they actually lower your phone's performance as to conserve your battery health to keep it running for longer
@@QuickTwixxWhatdoiwriteforthis Good point, also in the case of purposely making the device worse the customer satisfaction would plummet.
@@QuickTwixxWhatdoiwriteforthis If they want me to keep my phone for longer, why the hell Apple launches a new iPhone every godamn year?

Im watching this after my s21 ultra fell from my pocket (its ok) but im dying when i see him drop it like that
omg same.. I almost cried but fortunately it didnt break

Even with a case, i dropped my 12 pro max from exiting my car. My heart almost jumped out of my chest
iPhones have ceramic shield only on the front and not the back.
They don't have any ceramic
@@Hellboy-V they do, its not just a literal “ceramic” that you think it is like bricks and some shit
@@Hellboy-V apple is the co-founder of Corning.Apple is about 1 year forward than others
@@Hellboy-V they micro crystals of ceramic in the glass
@@nekogaming8461 No it's not. 1 year ahead my arse.
I always have to laugh when I contemplate the fact that phone manufacturers managed to persuade customers into thinking that glass, although it's mechanical disadvantages, is better than proper plastic, like glass fiber reinforced nylon.
I would LOVE a phone that has a completely metal back. I could care less about all this glass nonsense
@@pettyoffndebe163 The problem is that a metal back plate would interfere with wireless charging, so it is not feasible on a flagship phone. You either lose the wireless charging capability or you would have to recess a space in the metal backplate where the charging coil lives and cover that with plastic, which is a more complex process.
@@Universal_Craftsman who actually uses wireless charging
@@kaloca I see your point, but the feature existed so long on these phones that they can't go back anymore, people nowadays expect this capability from a flagship phone. All they could do is upgrade the midrange phones with a metal back, which don't have wireless charging capability anyway.
@@Universal_Craftsman makes sense. Personally I’d be willing to give up wireless charging for a metal back, but I understand how some people would be upset with that.

The phone doesn't have ceramic. I mean it's advertised but it doesn't behave like it has to... It's some kind of hybrid
It does but only on the front and it is a hybrid
So does the iPhone have a different glass at the display than the back? I like the test. But, to be super fair, the falls are quite unpredictable and I think the tension and impact can differ quite substantially, depending on quite small variations of angle, when they land.
Yea the back is not Ceramic Shield it isn’t as stronger as the screen

S21 I have dropped s21 some times it makes no sense, still holding up 🤞🏾
The reason I want to buy the s21 plus over the regular s21 is that gorgeous phantom silver.
If the s21 is durable to the point of a waist drop, this means we can finally use out phones without the case but we don’t because we don’t.
@@MatarJihad You should still get a case for micro scratches over time rather than dropping it a few times

Even the older samsung phones are good, I have had a j6 for like 4-5 years now and I've dropped it hundreds of times, theres not even a single crack
I just upgraded from iPhone 11 after being stuck with IPhone 5s, 6, 6s to IPhone 12 Pro Max. I’m actually shocked the glass in the front survived more than the glass on the back. But I’ve ordered 9 strong cases so I don’t have no cracks in my phone. My 11 is great and has just one tiny paint chip on the sides.
Love these because it makes them seem so durable until I drop my less than a foot and the screen breaks lol

@ohuhi 123 The galaxy is only broken at front because of the curvature... with any case that goes slightly over these edges it survives easily. apples back is just poor though
@ohuhi 123 Both landed straight on the back, the glass of the iPhones back is just weak.
@ohuhi 123 They dropped it in the same postion, the iPhone just rotated a bit more onto the back. But nearly similar. Get over it, Apple didn´t use their glass tech from ther front in the back so it will shatter easily, which is a bummer at this price.
