A.NEW.ERA. So many of us came here year after year waiting for this and always getting the "Scratches at level 6, with deeper grooves at level 7". But no more boys, we have finally reached the next level.
I just got my s24 ultra yesterday. And the screen clarity on this thing is absolutely insane. I have had a note series phone since the two and the 10 plus I had for 4 years and actually love that phone. I only upgraded to the fold4 last year after they killed off the note series and I wanted to get the newest 5G capabilities and not just the ultra wide 5G that the Note 10 plus 5G came with. But I found myself using the front small screen more often than taking the time to open up the phone to use it and really only used it to watch movies or shows. And since the ultra line took back where the note left that big gaping hole in the Samsung lineup I decided to jump back and get the 24 ultra. Where with trading in my fold4, getting a pre-order discount, and another $150 off coupon on top of it, and the 512 GB matching for the same price as the 256, I got mine delivered for just a hair over $700. It also came with case and screen protector and I got the Samsung buds pro 2 for free with it as well. So all in all not a bad deal for all that for that price.
My experience is almost exactly the same as yours, I got the Fold4 upon release, and babied that thing and it still had a hinge issue which I sent in to get it repaired, but after choosing to "get a new device" instead of the same device just repaired, I got sent the Fold5!! Which was wild and all, and I wanted to rock it so bad but I also wanted out of the Folds for now and was looking forward to this S24 Ultra, so I traded it in for the titanium orange and I'm so glad it has more genuinely decent upgrades from previous years. I might try a future Fold that is more reliable and has all the kinks worked out but for now, I'm okay with the beautiful slab 🫡😎🔥👍
@@3randomtrippycolors215 yup, my screen, the fold 4 I never had a hinge issue thankfully, but I did start to get a hairline (something) along the fold of the screen. It wasn't a crack or creace in the screen, but it appeared to be that start of something on certain background colors. The only thing the fold was killer for, was watching Netflix, UA-cam, Plex, etc... fold in half and put on my desk and bottom screen was the controls or a web browser or something dual screening, but most of the time, yeah it was easier to use the front screen, but that was too small for me to do anything real lol. This S24 Ultra is killer. Fits in my giant hand perfectly and the screen is so amazingly clear and the new screen for outdoor viewing is awesome in direct sunlight. I'm out in PHX and so it's nearly 80 outside and full blue sky's with bright sun and I can see everything without having to find shade to see the screen :)
Just switched (like an hour ago) to an s24 ultra from exclusively having an iPhone. Something just felt different about Samsung this year and I had to see for myself. I am way too pleased with the tiny pen that lives inside my phone now

For the S24 Ultra, as nice and durable the tiranium frame is, the anti reflective screen is the upgrade that stood out for me, as it won’t glare like other phone screens especially when using it under the direct sun. The level 7 with deeper grooves at level 8 is beyond what I have imagined ❤

Not first time. That happen every time model with s-pen in complete was tested. Who knows - maybe some day will be the model with protection from such behaviriour. All you need to do is use a material that is suitable for wireless charging and is strong enough when trying to bend it.

Don't forget to claim the free galaxy watch 6!
How'd you get the free stuff with it?
700$ and a 2022 phone is not a bad exchange from a 2021 phone with a 2023 processor and a titanium case 😅
So sad to see the phone being worried about the S Pen and wanting it to be in a safe place while it's already disintegrated
Just switched (like an hour ago) to an s24 ultra from exclusively having an iPhone. Something just felt different about Samsung this year and I had to see for myself. I am way too pleased with the tiny pen that lives inside my phone now
I love the way you put that, and that pen is fs useful. Once I bought the note 10, I've been hooked ever since😂
Just another object that Samsung gives you that can break very easily and it's only $10 lol Samsung's awesome😂🤔🤭😹

@@rileybusse9351 just another iPhone fanboy who will claim to have owned 5 Notes but really just hates. I know this because the S Pen is way more than $10 and I've only ever broken one in the last 8 years and that was a freak accident.

On my second day of ownership. Haven't given it much thought but a screenprotector shouldn't change that right?
@@Salpeteroxid I put a screen protector on mine straight out the box and it does make the screen glossy again with reflections.

@Salpeteroxid got mine for about a week, feels to early to tell but samsung applied a screen protector regardless (I think they included it to feel we got more for the price)

Or is it okay to use with any protection and cover ?
Thanks 😊 .
I saw a video by PBK Reviews who did the Mohs test first and he also got very unnoticeable scratches at 7 and major scratches at 8. I've been waiting for Zak's video to confirm this and it's amazing it does confirm it!
That's true.

Funny! I watched it with my Note 10+ while waiting for my S24 Ultra to arrive.
I've been using the Note line up for 10+ years. Note 3, Note 7, Note 9 and Note 10+. I did not want to upgrade because my Note 10+ is still rocking. But for work and school, the features, build quality and performance upgrade that the 24 Ultra offers is making me consider to upgrade. Great video ! 😎
I just upgraded my note10+ for the 24. Will keep the 10 as a secondary phone because, like you said, it definitely still rocks. The camera and flat screen are a distinct and immediately noticeable upgrade on the 24

I love how the phone is panicking over the pen, completely ignoring what’s happening to it. It seems to be in shock 😂
Fun fact: The 'capacitor' in the s-pen is actually a Lithium Titanate (LTO) Battery made by Nichicon. This is in reference to @5:07. Interesting stuff and something I learned at CES!

That's cool! LTO is an interesting chemistry you don't see a lot of. Super long cycle life, very safe, decent charge and discharge currents, not the best energy or power density but it makes sense here.
