Internal components : naah I'm not doing that.
Since the shock isn’t being absorbed bu the glass, the internals will suffer. A camera will be more expense to replace than glass. Maybe done on purpose.

Every problem has a solution
By the time you got to the ceiling drop tests, you were dropping phones that were already dropped repeatedly, and in some cases, had also received prior damage. There is something to be said for the inherent durability of a phone that is not ALREADY damaged form prior abuse.

I expect the waist high drop to be the most likely to happen so perhaps a few more on each side would be a good addition to future tests. I’m also curious if the iPad Air is less bendable than the iPad Pro so it might be an idea to do a bend test.

You really have to understand this one. Apple has a dreadful monopoly in the area of nothing at all, and I know how bad it sounds already, but that’s not all of it. Apple also is the only company creating competitive operating systems on that many platforms, causing the tech industry as a whole to improve at much higher rate, which is crime enough on its own, but wait! That isn’t everything. Apple also happens to sell its products for this thing called money, and if that wasn’t dreadful enough, people actually buy that stuff and we all know it’s clearly other’s people business what people completely unrelated to them are buying, and therefore justifies all the complaints. We can’t forget the awful crime of being rich, which might just be the worst thing that happened to humanity since.. what was it? oh right, communism. Or at least socialism and its terrible execution, to be historically accurate. Well as you can see there’s plenty of reasons to feel strong emotions toward a corporation that doesn’t care about you in the slightest, positive and negative, therefore I believe that all such hate only anecdotal evidence in the tech world is very reasonable and mature.

I just got the mini one and so far it has held up great even without a case! I’ve been broke so I couldn’t buy one but I’ve dropped this phone several times now and no breakage just scratches and a dent in the aluminum lining. ( the should make the next mini have the stainless steel) anyways I just bought a case and I’m just very impressed with this phone

How about trying to start the drop test from high up first to see how they hold up because during the drop test the glass starts to get weak buy the time that you drop the phones from high up.
I’ve had this thought too. There is progressive damage the longer the test goes on. But you only have one phone so what can you do?
In the real world you’re likely to have wear and tear as well.
The test started with scuffs on the glossy sides of the phone, then the back shattering from head height. That was more indicative for me than the rest of the test, and a requirement to put on a case even if it’s to protect from scratches and scuffs.

I don't have an iPhone, been subbed for a long time just to keep updated on things, and I noticed that since the iphone 7, especially the X, I started liking the iphones... Now I'm having a look considering to save up for an Iphone 11, it's expensive tho which is the only thing holding me back to make the switch from Android to IOS.
