I've been riding for 30 years, and I can say, without a doubt, that Martha is doing a great job managing that bike. Just accept that you will sometimes get flustered and "mush brained". No need to get embarrassed. That just means you're challenging yourself and learning. I admire the both of you for continually getting out of your comfort zone and living life fully. Happy trails!
Martha...im 53 years old and I took my safety training last weekend...I constantly thought of you and your courage...it got me through when I started to get overwhelmed and wanting to quit. You are doing great and thank you so so much for sharing your journey. ❤
Been rewatching your videos from when Martha was taking her bike test onwards. You both brighten my days up so much. So down to earth, such a laugh and I like that you show the tough times as well as the good times. You have and continue to do brilliantly on your bike Martha, along with Mitch’s encouragement. Enjoying the latest episodes too. Enjoy the weeks ahead! 🙂
I’ve been riding road bikes for 20 years, and I couldn’t do what Martha is doing… I’m very impressed. Also Mitch’s instruction is brilliant. Well done both 👍
Okay, BBB-Sheep. Thank you, this is the first time I've seen a UA-cam video of actual off-road riding trails in this part of England. Truly spectacular. Cheers from Alabama.
First time watching your channel guys…very enjoyable. Martha, you’re doing really well on the rough stuff….don’t know if you are aware of ‘Itchy Boots’ channel but she ((Noraly) travels the world on a Honda CRF (right now she’s back home in Holland recovering from a shoulder operation). She WILL inspire you…..Stay safe
This took me back to conversations I've had with my wife on difficult terrain, as she was nearing her limit... Congrats on finding the strength to push through, I remember how tiresome (and also rewarding) these rides can be. I really appreciate your honesty. I like what you're doing, how you're shooting it and how you're telling your story, hope you can keep it up, because this is fun to watch! Baa baa, of course :)
Ba Ba Black sheep... Five days on the trails, camping - you'll be cream crackered afterwards for sure, enjoyed that very much, thank you. Will try the tip on the noodles, as for Martha's riding skills - very impressive.
Another old biker here and you should be proud of your skills progression. You have done more in 50 days than I have covered off road in fifty years, not since riding across the essex school fields learning to drive cars and ride bikes ( pre health and safety, after school activities!) as a 16year old. Always a road rider except for 20 ft of grass at a campsite in Norway and I admire your ability, already better than any expectations I would have for myself in any muddy tracks. Well done. Never strayed off road and even when my new royal enfield himalayan arrives it will still be only on roads for me so again, great to watch and thanks for posting.
Ba ba black sheep. Martha, you're doing amazing. Mitch you're a great encouragement too. I'm not into bikes at all but followed you for the van life but will continue to watch you on your adventures. I have a new respect for motorcycling. Had no idea it was so hard. Love your videos. Such a lovely couple.
Martha you are so brave my arse was twitching for you I would say if in doubt walk the bike down , I can't even ride a bike your doing so well and mitch is great font of knowledge
Martha you are a star. That bit of trail at the beginning was difficult but you rode it all the same. If you get “brain mush” next time, just pause for a sec, let the shoulders relax and release the tension first.
Ba ba black sheep! Great stuff guys! I’ve been through the same learning curve, just got to keep pushing (and ignore all bad comments, internet can be cruel, they tore me apart in my vid!) Looking forward to more honest adventures 👍
You should let Martha have the 300l its lighter than the rally even if you have to swap the suspension over and fit a lowing link hope you come to the ABR festive and you will get lots of advice on how to get your skill levels up and also confidence for new rider there is alot to take so well done
I just want to say. Personally I learned that eating one small to medium meal a day. Has done a lot of things for me. First...it's much healthier and is how it used to be a long time ago. Second... I find cooking once a day is much easier and can make that meal much more elaborate and enjoyable. Third... Save so much money. Forth...Food storage goes much further. Fifth... Not spending so much time preparing and eating, therefore I can spend my time doing other things. Sixth...Not consuming so much unnecessary food. I have been doing this for over a decade now. Small snacks when I hit the wall or just barrel through. (takes only a few minutes) Note: My body and I are good friends and have a very good connection. I share this going it will be helpful. There are lots of videos that explain the health benefits of such life style. Love you both and safe travels. See you on in your next video. "Cheers"
26:57 Mitch doing a proper 'toodle-loo!' wave there :D Martha you're doing so well, technical riding and not even two months in! Come on, you have to give yourself a break! Mitch, you're so great at supporting her with advice and patience - It's just great following your adventures. p.s. Baa Baa Black Sheep - I commented when I saw the flappy wave to be fair 🤣
Baa baa Black Sheep! I’ve been married nearly 40 yrs and you two have exactly what it takes for a long life of love & adventure! You’ve got the teamwork, the sense of humor and the empathy when needed as well….all the proper tools to enjoy life to the fullest with the one you love! Sending wishes for safe & happy traveling, continued adventures, and more sunny days in England for sweet Martha! ☀️⛺️❤️
BBBS!!! love watching your vids. Yep as already said, Martha doing really well in some really difficult looking conditions. Top tip, when your stationary and in a difficult spot on the trail, hold your bike still on the rear brake, this will allow you to concentrate on getting clutch bite/revs ready to ride your line, if you try to hold your front brake it over complicates it (in HGV(and off-road decents) test you have to do a downhill start) and as you're quite nervous with your hand control you look like you're grabbing at clutch and F Brake when you really shouldn't be. (hence the bouncy/slippy front end on the rocky corner section 5mins in). I don't know what you were taught for slow speed manoeuvring for your CBT but I used to teach covering the rear brake while feathering clutch bite/revs which helps to maintain balance (the bike trying to move forward while you're countering it with rear brake), your right hand can then just twist the throttle or not as required.
Welcome to the world of MotoAdventure and TransEuroTrail. I think you did very nice as a first timers! Best regards from the TransEuroTrail Linesman Finland.
Baa baa black sheep. Bit my favourite was "oh what's that bird?" Another great video well done, scenery is awesome and really enjoy the dialogue between the two of you. 👍🇦🇺
Good night Martha and mitch i love you both and I love watching your videos of you and your adventures on your motor bikes I hope you are all well and enjoying your adventures on your motor bikes please keep your videos going on your you tube channel
Great job Martha and great instruction Mitch. Looking forward to the next one. Stay safe and.... sure there was something else.... oh yeah! Ba Ba Black sheep! lol

As a new rider your doing really well! Most people couldn't ride this so soon after their road test because its such a different riding style. Ans most wouldn't try actually! Bad ass!
Ba baa black sheep! LOL another fun video. Your editing is excellent and really contributes to the journey! Love it and Martha, you get better after every ride!
Ba ba black sheep!!! As always, I love your videos! You guys are doing so well with each other, the patience the encouragement and the 'I'm gonna go for it' attitude! Such a please to watch you both! On a side note... maybe invest in a shewee Martha. I've got myself one and it helps immensely. I actually got one because your van build video mentioned a funnel, and I just figured a shewee would do the same job, and I could take it everywhere with me too (no matter how I'm dressed). 😊♡
Ba Ba Black Sheep, I’m very impressed with the trip so far. I have been down some of the lanes myself but in a Disco D2. Keep going Martha your doing great.

Really well done, it looks like a long and tiring day! I am a beginner also, I just passed my mod2 a few days ago, so seeing the struggles make it real. Enjoying watching your video while having breakfast. I hope to try out some of those places (when the weather is better), they look amazing.

You guys are killing the off roading! I take my hat off to you! If you're looking for a new tent and you still happen to be in Yorkshire I highly recommend a trip to winfields in Hull! They have a huge range of tents and equipment and always have good deals. We have gotten a few tents from them and was recently checking out their smaller ones 🏕 they had some Kampa ones £80-150 that were much bigger than our current Vango 3 man porch tent that are perfect for bike camping :) they have a website too if you wanna check them out without seeing them in person 😊 hope enjoy the rest of your trip and beautiful Yorkshire ❤
