I can't believe how involved the process is over there. Here in the states, or at least in Texas, you just show up and do a burnout. After that you slam a beer with the instructor and shoot a gun into the air to celebrate while they stamp an M on your license. Now that I think about it we should probably revise our system. Grats!!!
Here in FL, I did the safety and driving - one week - course… I chose that way to learn a bit more and get some amazing tips from experienced riders. Then I got the endorsement after passing the test. I agree 100% about revising our system.
This choked me up ,so happy you’re now one of the biker community welcome to the massive grin club . Wish you both all the best of luck and safe riding 😘😘😘
Congratulations with your license. Now life really begins ;) Tip to smooth out your ride when coming up to an intersection or traffic light. As long as your moving, keep it in 2nd gear. If the light turns green or the intersection is clear, you can gain speed from second gear and the engine and your acceleration will be much smoother and you are less likely to stall it ;). If you have to come to a full stop, then put it down in 1st gear. Greetings from the Netherlands.
I started watching during your Finland ride so coming back to catch up on these vlogs but wow you've done so well Martha! I remember back to when I did my DA and it's intense and stressful. Really well done and you can see you're quite rightly very proud! Just realised that I think you said you were 23 and 23 years ago was when I passed my bike test which is a strange coincidence! 😊
Congratulations on passing your test.....I can still remember that buzzing feeling after i passed my bike test in 1979 even now......hope you both enjoy your biking life as much as i did ❤
Martha I'm not going to lie I actually shed a little tear I'm so ecstatic for you ❤ You've literally given me inspiration, because Luke you I struggle with my confidence in believing I can do something, so I've put in for mine too. So thank you hunny ❤ XOXO
Well done Martha. Seriously congratulations.you just keep going from strength to strength. Well done Mitch you kept her honest ,she will learn from you . Now go out and enjoy that bike and all the freedom it gives you. Much love and fair roads . X
Omg just found your channel! You guys are living the dream I mean what a life for a young couple to live!! Most young couples even struggle to get onto the property ladder how old was you when you bought your house? Honestly so in awe of you you are both amazing and making the most out of your lives! I’m 53 now life has passed me by so many things I wish I had done. Well done Martha for doing your bike test and passing your so so brave!! Love your vlogs Iv subscribed xx
Well done, flower. I passed my test on a borrowed Suzy 250, with no back brake in 72. An absolute doddle, as it happened. I was as trepidatious as you. If i had to do a re test now, i would be S'tin meself. Learn this, learn that, before ya get on the bleeding bike ! Your joy took me right back to that day 50 odd years a go. Enjoy ya days love, they fly past.
Well done Martha. You look so chuffed. New adventures to come. Never commented before though watched you from early days. You too are great together and love the channel. All natural. Most travel or van life channels aren't.
Absolutely bloody amazing .. can’t believe you’ve got a crf as well , fabulous bit of kit .. the biggest congratulations to you, Martha .. as I said, before, you are clearly a natural .. now the adventures properly begin .. by the way, I rode a motorcycle similar to yours across the whole of Australia. Back in 1989, when I was 20 years old. .. best year of my life .. ..happy days
Congratulations girl. You got this. I have been riding now for about 7 years and have never looked back. The more seat time you get the more confident you will be. Just remember there will be lots of “firsts” . Some will be exciting some will be nerve wracking and some will be challenging.Embrace every new challenge. In the end it will make you a better rider. 😊 Enjoy the ride.
Congratulations Martha on passing your full motorbike licence! We are so proud of you and your determination to achieve this milestone. As you rev up for your next adventure on the open road, remember the wise words of Bob Dylan: "The road goes on forever and the party never ends." Can't wait to see you out there, living life in the fast lane. Ride on, Martha & Stay Safe !🏍🎉👏From Geoff & Sam - Explore With The Sherries
Id highly recommend getting the suspension on both bikes valved and springs changed to suit your weight - will make the bike perfect to ride and in the grand scheme of things not too expensive :)
Well done and well deserved Martha, you look a natural on your bike now, it's now your start to learn to ride, without someone in your ear telling you what to do and where to go. Enjoy it and own the road.
Well done Matha,so happy for you , really deserved to pass ,and you did it all so quickly. Sure the Yorke chocolate bar went down well, hope Mitch got a couple of chunks! Love your new motorbike Matha, it will be a good fit for you as it's a bit lower. Your bike gear looks good Matha. Look forward to seeing all your new adventures. The videos you both make for ytube are done really well ,and a joy to watch.Bye for now, take care all the best Tim Melbourne.
WOW Congrats Martha, thats some achievement that is 👍. You did a great job Mitch, you both should be super proud. I was a bit gutted about one thing though. I was hoping to see Mitch try and cross his fingers again🤞🤭🤣. Great video guys, atb Dixie❤
Well done on passing your test, you look so confident in your abilities to drive that machine, can’t wait for the Journey you have both planned in future vids, top banner 👊🏼
I get it totally, Martha had no option but to pass her test, that’s a load of pressure but never doubted she would pass first time. She could have sat it again if she failed….but Mitch has been well supportive, so a great result for both! Having bust my ankle and leg, I invested in some new Tech 7 (9) boots like you picked up…you are totally safe in those boots, they are brilliant
Congratulations Martha so proud of you watching your videos from the start of doing your cbt to passing your full bike test is inspiring me to go forward and get my bike license Thankyou both for the amazing videos please keep up the great work
Congrats on the license! Im myself a short rider and I ride the CRF 250m which is the supermoto version of the L. Its few cm lower then the L and I ride mine stock height. As a short ride with a taller bike its way easier to get on and off the bike if kickstand is up. The more pratice you get on the bike the easier it will be and what I found to be best to learn is to not have anyone else telling how to do this or that but instead figure it out on your own so you are 100% focused on the riding itself. Looking forward to see more riding videos especially with the crf 250 and female rider! #femaleriders
Yes we started to realise this in the next video which is my first time off roading… Mitch is learning to just let me get on with it and I’ll figure it out!
Woohoo well done Martha!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 started following way back for your van lifing, I’m not into bikes at all but love watching you both I won’t be going anywhere 😂
Well .. SUPER WELL done, Martha! Best of wishes for a good Ride from now on, for both of you! Martha, May I ask what helmet you are wearing? Apologies for my poor English.
Well done Martha you are doing great 👍. The pitching of the bars at higher speeds needs to be addressed and dropping the forks through the yokes a touch more my help. Loving your videos and you both come across so lovely, keep it up Cheers Richie.

Nice video guy's, I almost bought this bike last year, but I like more highway and some offroad, so I went with a cb500x.
I got to say from someone who's been riding 50+ yrs since I was 3. You done real well. You should be proud. Fair play to you.
This choked me up ,so happy you’re now one of the biker community welcome to the massive grin club . Wish you both all the best of luck and safe riding 😘😘😘

Martha could keep the hard armour for a bit, then ditch it when she got to grips with offroad for soft armour and plenty padding.
And you could move the gear lever up for her a spline or two with those boots
70mph on knobs you get handle bar shake, just relax your grip. U could check forks are straight and aligned, just in case. 60mph is better
Thank you so much!
Congrats that’s sooo cool. You could have an inch cut out of the length on the side stand and get it re welded to make it a bit shorter? Cheers
Yeah that’s the plan, just got to find someone to do it for us🤪
Hiya I've liked your vid but cant finish it just yet but will do asap. best of luck martha
Thank you😄

Great video, just found your channel and binging the last 2 months worth to catch up on your MC journey.
I've been planning on getting the Honda CRF 300L, one for me and one for my wife.
She's only 5'2" which makes it very difficult finding something she can ride, might have to look into some of the lowering options for her.
Yeh the lowering options are great, the lowering link especially!
Loved this! Brilliantly edited as well 👌
Thanks a ton!
Big congratulations Martha on your bike test

Speed wobble could be caused by a few different things, it is not normal, i had it on my 690 n hated it, very scary if new to riding, could be the tyres, the shocks further up in the clamps, riding position, weight distribution... i tried all sorts and could never resolve it so i just fitted a scotts damper n never had it since, people say that dampers just mask the issue but it sorted mine n so much better!
It looks like it was mainly due to how Martha was sitting, she wasn’t sitting far enough back so with her arms bent she just didn’t have the control
