I recommend you use a shop vac to clean up the bins and filters. That way you aren't blowing dust all over. I use a small wire brush to clean debris from the brushes. I was surprised that Shark didn't have any demonstration videos for these procedures on their site.

Another good review. I cannot wait to use these tips when I get this vacuum tomorrow. I always take care of my vacuums. It increases their longevity. My Shark Duo-clean still looks like new. I clean the filters weekly. Dustbins get cleaned on the corded and stick (Shark Vertex cordless) daily. I purchase an extra dustbin/filter whenever I purchase a vacuum. In doing so, I can rinse out the old bin/filter and replace it with the item that is already clean.
I love that brush roller. I have the power fin technology on my Shark stick vacuum, which is incredible! So very little hair gets caught with that roller. My daughter and I long, thick hair. It does an excellent job picking up hair, and the hair is not wrapped around the roller.

12:30. My vacuum will not dock. I called the help line and even they couldn’t figure out why. I started taking out filters but had no idea there were so many till Siri led me to your site. It is all clean now but still won’t dock. They are sending me a new unit for free plus free shipping since it is still under warranty. Thanks so much for making this video. I will at least know how to better take care of the unit. 😅

You missed 2 things....1 the end of the brush roll comes off and hair gets trapped under that gray end that comes off. 2 the top navigation module needs to be cleaned... while propped on side spin the navigation module inside clockwise a few times with a q-tip DO NOT put inside sensor holes! Then blow the area out with a can of air or a blower. When this part is dirty it will have an error code that says remove hair and debris under shark logo. Otherwise good information.

    • @Vydio

How do you get that gray end off? Mine wouldn't budge.

    • @tg09266
      @tg09266 11 місяців тому

Yes we just had the “remove hair and debris” error in the app. The lights on the vac flash ( Clean flashes green, dock light flashes red and a red exclamation point). We found another helpful tip online to clean it with a cue tip. You don’t remove the top circle piece. Only clean around it with alcohol and a cue tip.

Fairly certain all the filters can be cleaned with cold water. Just let them air dry fully before reusing. So before you replace, clean them with water. Replace when they are no longer useable.

hi, mine doesn't dock any more. I have notice the wheels are up all the time. It is liked a shape of down dog position. Would you know how to get the wheels lower and the vac stays flat?

Great video! Starting at 6:08 you mentioned you would put a link in the description notes to new filters and a new roller brush. I found the link to your Amazon store but needle ... haystack. Was looking for a direct link to something compatible and affordable on Amazon. They seem overpriced direct from Shark. Thanks!

Great catch!!! I thought I would be able to find a kit that is for this machine. Well that is not the case. They sell a kit with the filters and brush for ever other shark vacuum exempt this one. I had no idea I would not be able to find a new brush. I even went to the shark website and they show it but its sold out. Thankfully the filters are mostly the same as in this kit. amzn.to/3aEIC2e
The brush looks like it will work but it does not. the filters and sweeps work just fine.

Hello, nice video, but have a question. Instead of blowing the dust around, why not use the hose on vacuum to suck out the dust and dirt? That’s what I do with my air purifier filter and some other filters/gadgets. Thanks

Nice video thank you. BUT, I have a question. On the side under the dust bin if you look you can see there is a filter in there. The maintenance kit I bout has this filter. But I cannot for the life of me figure out how to open it to replace it if need be. Have you or anyone noticed that and if you know how please share. Thanks again for great video

I have a UR2500SR and I believe the drive belt is slipping. Sounds just like this vacuum maybe a little louder. Do you have a part number for drive belt or a video of replacement?

    • @City-Hiker

UR2500SR seem like exclusively made for the Costco. UR2350SR for the Sam’s Club.
The other 2500 Series robots such as RV2502AE, AV2501S, AV2501AE, UR2505SR accessories part may fit the UR2500SR.
