Sam, do you have a video on how to take off and clean the side wheels? I have animals and between their hair and mine, it seems to bunch up next to the wheels. I clean it when I can see it but would love to get in there during deep clean/filter replacement times

@Beth White, no I do not have a video on removing the wheels. I know what you are experiencing with pet hair. Our daughter had me to look at her shark that one wheel would not turn. I found pet hair was clog up in the wheel well up inside the shark, binding the wheel from turning. I rocked the wheels back and forth as I saw clumps of hair become visible, I used a hooked wire to reach in and pull it out. This took several clump removals before I had it free completely. Try the method I described and I think it will work with yours. I do not want to attempt to take my Shark apart as it is working. I only work on something that I am having a problem with. There is an old saying, "if it ain"t broke, don't fix it". If I had a pet, I think after a couple of uses, use a shop vac or any vac that is strong, and vacuum the wheel area of the shark real good to remove any hair that is collected. This may prevent it from clogging. Good Luck, pet hair is a real problem with the Shark Remote, the wheels have the traction knobs on the wheels and that pulls the hair up into the wheel area of the shark.

Thanks! You helped me figure out where that small square hepa filter in the base goes. I was scratching my head saying I never seen this filter before and don’t know where to put it, cause my base is pushed up into a nook.

@jane1207 my Shark has the 3.7 “ foam filter. You need to contact the help number for Shark and they can help get the proper filter for your Robot vacuum.

I have been lookig for replacement filters, but our model is RV1001AE and the dust bin is not on the side like this. Its actually fully unlocked from the top and the whole component is the dust bin. Will these filters fit this particular model?

Excellent demonstration. Thank you for taking the time. I am buying one next week at Costco. Should I buy this kit right away or wait until replacement?

Thanks for your nice comments and glad you have decided to purchase the Shark Robot. I know you are going to like it over the Old Vac with the cord. The filters can be cleaned by just brushing and banging them to release dirt. The Re-Motor foam filter and wafer filter that goes under can be washed with plain water and dry thoroughly before using. This is the most important filter as it protects the motor from dirt entry. The other filters are to clean the air before it exhaust into the house as the system operates for cleaning and emptying the robot. Just go ahead and order the filter kit and you will have all the filters you will need for a couple of years or so. The foam filter gets dirtiest with a cleaning operation. The other filters, just look at the exhaust side and when it starts looking dark, time to change it. The Shark system and all vacuums systems work best when the filters and are clean for max performance. Good luck.

These Amazon non oem cheap brushes suck. They do not clean as well as the actual brand name Shark brush.
