I've never heard or watched Don, and I disagree with him on a lot of points, but I have a huge amount of respect for him after watching this. He is logically consistent, polite, well spoken, and it seems like watching this video, he knows when to listen and only opens his mouth when he has something substantial to say with a well thought through point. Even if he disagrees with nonsense being spewed, he holds his tongue and tries to actually understand what people are saying and where they are coming from. If only all people could have discussions like this man, there would be a lot less issues in this world. I think his example of the middle east was a really great counter to Nick's argument, the real argument Nick was making, and not the one people were trying to strawman. I'll have to look him up and give him a follow.
It really feels like most of Nick’s points sail over their heads, like they, simply put, cannot understand the meaning behind the way he has arranged words in a sentence.
I feel like nick says something specific, then destiny creates this fictitious generalized version of what nick is saying, the rest of them get confused, and then sneako says dumb stuff and everyone moves on lol

The one thing that Nick says that’s correct is that people are complex and different. What he fails to incorporate into his worldview is that knowing that race is not the only impactful differentiating factor, he only wants to segregate based on race and religion, instead of the infinite other categories we could differentiate people by. Which then falls apart because then we need as many countries as people. Maybe the approach should be; knowing that we’re all different in alot of ways, as social creatures it’s best for is to form communities based on what makes is similar. What brings us together? And by extension, we could partly be a part of multiple communities. Sorta like what we currently do now
The difference between the arguments are that people are separated by race per Nick, or that people are seperated by value systems per dom/destiny. but they are both true. these are all dividers. but you can change religion/values. but you cannot change races. thats why the agenda pushes this diversity inclusions so we all become one singular race and remove that aspect of identity

Race will always be an important factor. It's impossible to ignore it. For centuries whites have had countries exclusively for themselves and a lot of these countries have flourished. Meanwhile on the other hand, when society is as inclusive and diverse as possible, you get pretty much the country that modern America is. People have always first and foremost segregated on race, and then on other things like "beliefs".
One thing I can’t stand about Sneako is that when he’s presented with a hypothetical, he starts to act willfully ignorant because he knows that the other person’s end argument will make *HIS* initial argument sound dumb.
Like…he’s not stupid. He fully understands the hypotheticals. He just has this inflated ass ego and he will do everything in his power to preserve it…

My favorite part in this whole discussion is how Sneako's face is constantly like : "Duuuuude that Nick guy is crazy af but if I disagree with him I may have to re evaluate my whole worldview and admit I might be wrong in a lot of stuff and that can't happen". I looked at it as Sneako disagreeing with Nick but at the same time, agreeing with the framework forming Nick's ideology. Elijah Muhammad got along with W.S. Fellows, as an example. Destiny's content is so good lately. This has made me realize how bad it is to aggresively deplatform people like twitch has done. Agreed. Freedom of speech is what makes things interesting. Unless someone is out there preaching blatant hate speech and to go harm people, I say let them speak and let these debates occur. Censoring other adults from seeing and hearing them isn't doing anything but creating an artificial reality where Twitch acts as our parents to try and protect us from the boogie man that says bad things. Ultimately we can go hear them on other platforms anyway, so they may as well let it fly in one space and let the people decide who is logically sound with discourse like this

I’ve watched destiny since sc2, one of the first streamers I ever watched. And I remember him last year averaging like 1k viewers streaming league nonstop. Glad he went back to this type of content, i tend to be closer to nick in my political opinions but I love to see Nick challenged in debates. It just makes for unreal content.

It's such a breath of fresh air compared to guys from his community like Adin Ross, who don't challenge anyone on their beliefs and seem to not be able to form a cohesive thought on their own. As an African who has spent his entire life in Africa, most of us can tell the difference between a black American and an African. In fact, we can tell the difference between Africans from different regions (Zimbabwean Vs Ghanian Vs Kenyan Vs Chadian all look different to us)
Yeah Europeans can tell the difference between Germans, English, Swedish etc. Even I can see the differnece between Abba and Don.
Each races have their own subspecies so to say. Only americans pretend like its all the same

I’m a lot older than these guys I’m 50 and generally I can relate to younger people because generation X we had a lot of fun as well but this is a whole new ballgame. Free-speech is so important but for us to make an analogy to how I grew up it is totally different. With all these social media platforms are literally screaming in peoples bedrooms and offices. Plus these are private companies the Supreme Court probably gonna have to look into this and I personally do not want censorship because who gets to decide what’s on and what’s not maybe this is just the price we pay but to act like it’s exactly the same as it was 2000 years ago or even 100 years ago is asinine

I don't even have words to describe this entire experience. This stream should get an oscar for character direction.
I went to school in Africa (Angola) and even other African people, Kenyan, Nigerian, etc were completely ostracized by the other Angolan students despite them being black as well. The Angolan students mostly hung out with other people that spoke Portuguese so other Portuguese, Brazilian, or Angolan people, it didnt matter the race. So i dont know what Nick is saying when he talks about "the black race" being united or whatever when it varies HUGELY between country. This was especially the case for any black american students (there were many because there were a lot of expat kids from oil families from the US doing work in Angola), the black americans didnt fit in whatsoever because there wasnt anything that bonded them with the other black angola kids.
Hell, even here in America there are huge divides between black people. Nutjobs like Tariq Nasheed have been pushing for an FBA (Foundational Black American) movement, where they distinguish themselves from African immigrants.
