I actually likes the bigger screen, i would go with ultra if it has round edge corner like the S23+, there's something about Ultra's sharp edge corners that bothers me lol...just personal preference
Don't the edge corners become a non-factor when you put a case on the ultra?
Per-ordered the S23+. Best balance of features and price, plus better battery life without going with a huge phone. Good deals with US providers with trade ins. Basically not paying much after trading in my S22+.
S23+ is just about right for my needs. I don't envision using the pen so much and prefer the shape of s23+
I think that the S23+ is the best option here. The Ultra is simply huge, heavy... At least for me.
S23 plus just isn't a good deal compared to what other brands offer. Go big or go home. Get the ultra
Go look at them side by side. The Ultra isn't even noticeably bigger next to the S23+. It's just noticeably better.
@@pcxdrone its lichter and not that edgy, way better to hold
@@pcxdrone i agree, i looked at them side by side today and the ultra is clearly a superior phone. The s23+ felt a bit budget, i was a bit disappointed in it. That said I'm no apple fan but the iphone 14pro was leagues ahead in build quality.
@@pcxdrone The ultra was just too large for my tastes.
It’s the 512 and up that gets you the 12gb not just the 1 tb
My s23+ arrived today and I love it. Part of me thinks I should have gone for the Ultra, but the battery life and screen size of the + is amazing.
I'm having a hard time deciding between the plus and the ultra I don't like the Ultra's Box like design that's the main thing steering me to go towards the plus again
Same
Have you decided yet? Having the same trouble
Big and red go for it!
I’m having this same problem
Me having the same problem..
Thanks for the video. I'm planning on getting the S23+ here in Australia as I don't need the larger display, S Pen etc of the S23U. Please provide a review including battery life on the S23+ before the pre-order cut-off date of Feb 16.
I just wish the ultra had rounded corners too
Me too either that or if the s23 plus had that resolution
I am in the UK. I have the S9 plus, I have had no issues with it and loved it, but feel now I want an upgrade. The S23 Ultra is the one I am going for I think. Thank you for your points in this video :)
Would it be a big upgrade going from galaxy note 8 to s23?
Pleaseee a camera comoarison between s23 plus and s23 ultra
torn between the plus and the ultra model because of the camera. I would get the plus as long as the camera system are similar in terms of colour accuracy, video stabilisation and the overall camera quality is equal to the ultra . A video on the comparison between the two models would be highly appreciated.
Me too, but due to RAM and storage space. My S10+ has been great with headphone jack (why I didn't pick Note 10+ then) why I didn't pick Note 10+ and exapandable storage. I don't care about the pen or camera, but I can finally get out of Exynos hell.
I would go yes or yes for the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, either the 256Gb one or perhaps the 512Gb one, since I already got 3061 songs, almost all of them in Flac format and they are always very large files. .
Get the ultra 512gb for the price of 256gb at samsung.
I wanted to pick the S23 Ultra in Green because it was the sweet spot for me, but they were out of stock, so I ended up getting the regular S23 (256GB) in Green and it still gives all of the premium feel quality and flagship features, but only the difference is the display being smaller, less resolution because of the 1080p panel but is still a gorgeous display, battery is definitely noticeable from the S23 Ultra, but the S23 still gives me 6 or more hours of Screen time when doing moderate use with light gaming sessions at high graphics. The camera is still grear despite not having the 200mp camera. It still gives nice-looking photos in daylight with great focus and color. Ram and storage are adequate for this small device. Overall, even if you are picking the most basic S23 from the lineup, you are still getting a great device that comes with everything that you need for a flaghship device but in a smaller and confortable size.
Picked S23+, I'm happy, also no bananagate. Purchased May 2023.
Ordered (and received yesterday) the S23 Ultra. It's a sweet phone! The antenna on it is also great!
The ultra is the real deal!!! 👌 but I'm happy with my Fold 4 😍😍😍😍 the z fold 5 is my next target 💕♥️
Thanks for the advice
Pre order trade in deals not as good as last year. Going to wait 2-3 months since they usually go down in price and trade in deals are good for unlocked phones.
Agreed! I was not impressed!
How much cheaper do they usually get? I've only ever seen them for MSRP until after the next gen comes out.
You guys in the states have the best deals. Keep up the great work bro and stay safe.
Maybe. In Belgium with a provider here 299 euro for the S23 ultra 512GB, the month abo is 56 euro (with data , sms and call etc...).
My provider is offering the S23 Ultra for $30 USD per month for 24 months. Or $720 without any trade in. That's the USA for ya.
@@FlubFlubber That is incredibly expensive if over a 24-month plan
@@itsConnor28 In Belgium everything is expensive ppff.
@@FlubFlubber I went for an s23 which came to €730 after trade in for my s10e and a student discount (in Ireland), I prefer the smaller size
my issue is i dont want a box for a phone but it has the res i want the plus looks better but 1k for 1080 when i have an s9 with 1440 is hard to do without feeling jipped i wish plus had the 1440 and id be sold on it
Please What do you think about upgrading from the s21 ultra to the s23+?? Decent upgrade?
Nah
Get the s23 ultra the s23+ the downgrade in resolution, the camera setup and the s21 ultra I'd say is better camera vs s23+, your aren't getting the 5000mAh battery. Since u have the ultra it makes sense to get ultra, I'm thinking u may not like the boxy design and don't care about the spen, the design is something easy to get used to like I still hate the aspect ratio on the s21 ultra but ya as I was saying the design is easy to get used to and if u dont want the spen it's not bothering u its always inside.
@@Shan_Shah Too late😭😭 Already ordered the s23+, maybe i might as well keep my s21 ultra, although it's an exynos version, so it's not an high end performer like the snap dragon version
@@Shan_Shah and yes you're right, i am really particularly about the square shaped design not gon lie, i hate it
@Edafeanaka Kelvin u can cancel the order and get the ultra rightaway with that $150 in store credit and trading the s21 ultra will get u $380 which isn't worth trading in I'd say sell it on your own and if the phone has arrived u can return it not because the s23+ is a garbage phone but for the price it's not worth it and u can find phones better than the s23+ for lower price so I'd say return it spend the extra $200 and get the s23 ultra it's a substantial difference from the s23+ in fact I'd rather use my s21 ultra over the s23+ yes I understand the exynos is inferior but in that case why not considering a snapdragon s23 ultra. U have the opition to cancel order or if it has arrived u can always return it. The s23+ should be $749 and the s23 should be $649-$699 it doesn't deserve that $1000 price tag.
The other colors are available for the other models. I pre-ordered the S23+ in lime green 💚
After about 2 years I wonder how much the battery degrades on flagship phones. Not sure whether I should trade in my vanilla S21. It's been two years. I also wonder if those Gen1 and Gen2 chips are that much more battery efficient than the 888. Thoughts?
Are you making it through a day without a problem on your battery and if you are, I don’t really think it’s a gigantic upgrade from the S 21
8gen1 is trash, even much worse then 888, but 8gen2 is great
Upgrading after only two years is just silly. Phones don't vary that much to need to upgrade that often. I'm still using the note 9 and I works great. Still have no reason to upgrade. Yet I still have a headphone jack as well as expandable storage.
@@SourStrawberrys note 9 is slooow
Thank you for the best video👍
Big and red 17th delivery, You have a nice day! From across the pond.
Great content. You think s23 ultra screen is big my note20 ultra beats it.
i was actually a gamer type of person, so i wished to know which of the tree is best for playing mobile apps?
They all are the best at that. This is a flagship phone. Aka the best of the best.
S23 ultra for bigger screen better gaming experience.
Ultra because it has a slightly better screen and resolution
Do you think the S23 series are incremental upgrades? The only huge thing with the ultra is a new processor and cameras, that’s about it.
Definitely incremental upgrade for the s22. But if someone has the s21 or older, then it’s a pretty decent upgrade tbh
@@MarksTech yeah, mostly for S20 user’s, I don’t think an S21U to a S23U is worth it
What more is there to improve? Better camera's, better battery, better processor
So unless I missed him saying it. The Samsung colors are ONLY if you get the unlocked version. Also in trade in I'm getting $800 through Verizon and only $350 via Samsung for the S21 Ultra. The instant credit is kinda pointless, you can get a case and maybe ear buds. Not many accessories to choose from. I know other people have also been getting low end trade in values through Samsung and getting more via there carriers. So do your research.
Which is literally why I included carrier links on my pinned comment and description. Did you even see? Lmao
@@MarksTech yes, that doesn't mean you shouldn't mention it in the video. Also your links lead to a "unsecured page" unless you fully open in in browser.
ThanksMuch!
I am downsizing my phone to something more compact. Took me a day to get used to it, but I'm very happy once I adjusted it to it. The s23 feels a lot better in my hand.
Great video but some of your information is wrong. The s23 ultra comes in the US the 512gb model comes with 12gb ram. The base 256 gb comes with 8. But amazing videos as always.
i was scared because i bought the 23 ultra 512GB because of the extra ram and he said its only the 1TB version which isn’t true lol
@@rex-ie9gf Yeup you’re good to go
Going from the comments the S23+ seems to be the most popular choice, some people even call it the goldilocks zone phone.
As for me, I have pre-ordered the S23+ too as having previously owned the S21 Ultra, it impressed me but the shape, curved screen and weight just put me off completely. My relative had a S22+ and was quite impressed at how much more comfortable I found it so that's the reason. Also, it will be nice going from Exynos chipsets to a Snapdragon one.
S23U 12/512 in Phantom Black from S21+ 5G
I have the note 9 but thinking of going for the s23. Ultra and 23 plus too big a phone for daily commute.
Is 200mp really worth the 200$ additional from the s23+?
You’re not just getting 200mp - but also, better telephoto cameras (further zoom @ better quality), SPen, QHD+ display. So, in my opinion, for an additional 200, I’d say it’s worth it. But it all depends if you care about the stuff I just mentioned lol
S23+ is in my opinion not worth the price for what it is. It has not that great screen quality, thats so ridiculous. I ordered the S23 Ultra.
@@FlubFlubber True. My provider wants just $8 less per month for the S23+. I went with the Ultra.
@@MarksTechthe only thing you me that I care about is the qhd+ display but I don’t like the shape of the phone you think the extra 200 is worth it in my case?
@@FlubFlubber which is why the plus might be gone and the s23+ might be the last plus phone because they aren't selling well and for what it is I'd say its a $749 worth phone and the s23 should go down $649-$699 cause the only thing your gaining on the plus bigger screen isn't even something I have to mention lol well I kinda did, but it's basically the same with with 45W fast charging and the difference being hardly 10-15mins 25W vs 45W and considering the s23 has a 19% smaller battery it will charge fast, the storage upgrade with ufs 4.0 storage which u have to invest $899 to get the 256GB s23 which I'd say is also overpriced but other wise they are the same phone.
I pre-ordered the 23+.
S23 base model in 256GB. The smallest that fits in ur pocket the easiest when out and about
Yes that's true. That's actually why I bought my plain S21. But now I'm ready for one of the good ones. S21 Ultra for me
@@pcxdrone I just got the new s23 delivered today, coming from a standard s21. Love the smaller factor, easier to reach laterally across the screen with ur right thumb without stretching (using just one hand)
Well I got the iPhone 📲 12 pro, I have it abt 3years now , in I’m soon 😂ready for get da big daddy ultera, will be tradin this month in February which is my birthday month right on time 😊date 02/08 y’all wishing me early birthday 🥳 thanks you
I got the Ultra and it is great. Love the camera and the battery life gives me all day. Samsung did a great job!
We are getting the S23 Ultra, but not until the summer as that's when our upgrade happens
Nice!! What phones are you upgrading from?
Then you are going to pay pay pay.
@@pcxdrone hardly as Samsung are already putting in place there summer deals. Which come into play in June.
FYI the s23 ultra that has 512GB RAM also has 12GB RAM.
I thought the 512 s23 ultra had 12 gb ram it’s on Samsung website.
OH! You’re right! My mistake 😬
My mistake, any Ultra has 12gb ram... You're right
s23 plus vs s23 ultra battery life test ???
I’ll definitely test that out :)
I ordered the S23 Ultra. After listening to this I am glad I did. Kind of a phone 🤓 geek. Lol
The iPhone 13-14 may not have a 120Hz screen but they have much sharper (higher PPI) screens.
Lol wrong on both accounts. New iPhone Pros are 120hz but have lower PPI and always have. 460 vs 500+ on the s23 ultra
@@ChrisJohannsen I’m talking about the S23/S23+ vs the standard iPhone 13 and 14. They both have 1080p screens.
120hz is a game changer. Once you see it, you can go back to 60hz
@@chriswest2290 this statement is false. I use a 60Hz iPhone 13 and a 120Hz Mi 11x.
@@RandomTechF no it's no. I use a s10e 60hz and a Poco F3 120hz. I use the s10e as a back up phone. But if I was to buy another phone tomorrow, I could never buy and use as a primary phone, a 60hz device. Unless my budget was the deciding factor.
512 and 1TB both have 12GB RAM. 👍🏼 CONFIRMED BY SAMSUNG CHAT!
I preorder s23 plus
Thank you🫡
In green
Anyone ever tell you that you kinda look like Charlie Day ?
Lol yeah I get that a lot
I hope I don’t regret trading in my Pixel 7. I love those cameras. The last Galaxy I had was the S20 ultra and I wasn’t impressed.
@@jcase19 mine was sort of glitching too, but it has the best point and shoot camera on the market.
There is no comparison. Yes the camera is quick on the P7P but the benefits end there. I don't trust Google screens and I surely don't care for their sub $250 phone build quality. Samsung is on a league of its own.
I have s23. Its good
Came for the commentary about the s23 lineup, stayed for the cat
i have no need for s23 ultra with s pen, i will get s23 plus in creme color!!
The S23 Ultra is $2300 its a good price
Plus
Samsung s series always king
Samsung galaksy s23 plus
First ✌🏻
You are! 🔥
Yes sir
🫡
3:00 lol only in US probably, it's 12 GB RAM for all S23 ultra here
Incorrect.
I think the galaxy S 23+ is actually the worst out of the three cause you’re paying almost the ultra price but you’re not getting the cameras you’re not getting the ram and you’re not getting the battery Samsung has downgraded the plus model to get you to buy the ultra even if you don’t use the S pen I think the phone to get it if you don’t want the ultra is the regular S 23 as value per dollar it’s the best out of all of them and that’s my opinion I wouldn’t get the plus model either get the regular or the ultra, but the plus model is not worth. The cost of the screen is big but it’s lower resolution doesn’t come with the 1440 and the regular S 23 doesn’t come with it because it’s smaller than pixel . will be much higher and it will look better.
I still don't understand how a phone that has the all mighty word " Ultra " in its name goes up to " only " 12GB of RAM.
Because it's LPDDR5x and that costs some serious pickles.
U are an apple fan 🤪🤪🤪 every time u Samsung phones are criticized
The Ultra is the ONE to have by far. Get what you want. Make your own decisions don't listen to other people's opinions.
I have galaxy s7 edge, should I go for s23 ultra or s23 plus?
I have the exact same phone. Thinking of going with S23 plus
Galaxy s7 here,I'm thinking s23+
@@sylvestervats actually I was also considering s23 plus but it felt less premium so just preordered the ultra, will be keeping it for next 5-6 years✌
Wow, you're still rocking the G7. My G8 starting dying on me last year, so I waited until now. Preorderd the S23+. Never thought I'd be paying a grand for a phone, lol. I did get the 512K upgrade plus a $100 gift card from Bestbuy. With four years of upgrades I figure the phone will cost me $250 per year.
I would get the Ultra... I'm getting it. I think it's worth it.
One day they'll put a 1440p display on the base model. 🥲
