      Sometimes I feel like you should be able to skip a day or two and still have your skin intact. The point of us doing skin care routines is to have healthy skin in the long run. If I skip a day and my skin goes crazy I start evaluating if what I’m using is actually beneficial for my skin long term or if it’s just giving me short term results...

      *slowly raises hand* actually I skip skincare here and there pretty regularly...sorry...rip. Maybe I'm just blessed with fairly fuss-free skin (nowhere near "naturally really good") but I don't notice a drastic difference?

      You should check out dermatologists online. There are some on UA-cam. They actually know their stuff and to be honest, as much as I like watching these women, some of the products they recommend are not great and costs way too much for no reason.

  • @Boywithmeese
    @Boywithmeese 5 років тому +4

    For the green tea cleanser, I don't know how formulation affects these things, but baking soda shouldn't go on the face. It's far too alkaline for our skin's natural ph, and can strip the lipid layer.
    As for the LaRoche Posay Effaclear cleanser. I feel like it's important to note that it does have ~menthol~ in it. I bought it last year, and I didn't notice that in the ingredients until I felt it tingling on my face and my skin did not respond well to it. So in that sense, I wouldn't say it's good for sensitive skin. I'd say the CeraVe Renewing Salicylic Acid Cleanser is a much more gentle dupe. Also, much cheaper lol

      I know this is a really late comment but at an Australian studying cosmetic chemistry I can tell you that Aesop is using the most basic cheapest chemical formulas with nothing natural that have been around forever and just throwing in a bunch of essential oils and putting it all in pretty packaging. Their philosophy is 'what did cosmetic companies do thirty years ago? ok. now make them smell nice with essential oils that aren't even selected properly'

    Girls! you have to checkout May Coop's new sensitive skin bamboo line! It's amaaaazing. I have normal to dry skin but I've been LOVING the bamboo water gel. I feel like Felicia would love it a lot because it's kinda like the tatcha water cream where it's like a hybrid gel cream. It's a gel but spreads on your face like a cream and just feels so cooling and smells amazing.

      OooOooo that sounds so good! I've only tried the May Coop essence and it smells quite amazing actually, and love the slightly goopier texture because it's like a toner/essence/serum? hahah. Thanks so much for sharing! 😍🙌- fel

      @@BeautyWithin The only thing I never liked about some of May Coops products was the alcohol they included and that made me gravitate towards other products, but this new bamboo line is 21 irritant free so sensitive skin can use it happily! It's really cool the 5-bamboo complex they have in this new line and I highly recommend the water gel. It's actually one of my favorite products I've ever used (and I've used a ton especially kbeauty products haha)

    The LRP cleanser is my HG cleanser that I’ve found at the drugstore! I leave it on for a minute before rinsing bc I get very congested skin from working in a polluted environment. I find the wipe version with LHA to be amazing too and I’m usually antiwipe. And I’ve been using the hada labo premium gokujyun for the past few months bc of the 5 different hyaluronic acids and urea but I actually like the basic milky formulation more bc it sinks in but also sits on your face a little so it feels more plump? So prob going back to the milky one.

      @BeautyWithin  5 років тому

      Yes it's one of the best cleansers I've ever used that makes so much of a good effect on my skin when it's super congested and breaking out as well! I haven't heard of the wipe version.. will have to check it out! hehe. Ohh interesting, thanks so much for sharing that! Glad to know you can tell what's happening on your skin so clearly! Thanks so much for watching, hope you found something new and interesting in the video 😊 - fel

    If anyone could answer this I would appreciate it: how often can you use the powder to foam cleansers? Are they technically an exfoliant (using only 2-3 times a week) or just a regular night cleanser?

      You can use them twice a day (in a.m. and p.m.). When you cleanse your face, wash gently (don't scrub or apply too much pressure). If you're worried this may be too harsh, build up to it.

    I'm way confused. Caroline Hirons - the skin care queen- is also a HUGE fan of the Hada Labo Premium Hyaluronic Acid Lotion, but most skin care lovers know it's a fact that any ingredient on the inci. list that's right around, and definitely after the word PHENOXYETHANOL , means there's less than 1% of that ingredient in the bottle. Phenoxyethanol is way up at the top of the inci. list ( which is super weird because it's usually at the bottom) and it looks like a lot of the ingredients you'd want COME AFTER Phenoxyethanol on the list. Can you explain? Thx! And I love you girls and your videos!!

      Yess we definitely will try to incorporate more as we try them. Aesop has been either a super hit, or a miss for me so it really does come down to giving time to testing it out haha. And we're actually going to do a whole review on the OSEA range in future hyped products video, because they have a lot of really great products! We'll keep you posted on when that's out 😊Thanks so much for the suggestion! - Fel
