32 here!! And my coworkers think I’m in my early 20s so I go with that. I will say one thing that has impacted my skin positively was changing the way I eat haven’t had a breakout in nearly a month. Blueberries I eat blueberries EVERYDAY, almonds a handful of almonds daily as well as walnuts lots of vegetables lots of water. SUNSCREEN (wear hats when outdoors!!) A decent sensitive retinol for my under eyes at night.
I am working on getting more sleep happy to be getting older and wiser eliminating alcohol, no drug usage.
Let’s be grateful for our 30s we are here and moving forward from here! Can’t wait to be 50 and have a great skin.

This doctor may know a lot about skin but what she may not understand is that age is not the same for every person as we all have a chronological age but our biological age may not be the same as people born in our same year.
Mental energy and your own unconscious mind culture and beliefs play a huge role in your physical body believe it or not.
Even she is saying, that somehow at 29, 30 your face all of a sudden changes and you dont even know in which way.
I say she has such a strong believe in th social " stigma" of 30, so her own strong belief made her literally age acording to it.
I met people who practise meditation and who knows about how energy can change your cells, that seriously look many decades younger.
The fact that you somehow tell people you are in your early 20s, makes it actually happen too on a physical level , believe me

@@Yulia.chandrika I do not disagree with you, with the different types of lifestyles, mentalities, and genes there have to be exceptions to everything but her guidelines (as anything on the internet should be considered) are very valuable and must be adjusted to everyone's specific condition.
So while she is accurately providing what is backed up by her education and knowledge, she cannot go around saying "Just love yourself and believe you are in your early 20s and you'll have great skin" and be a credible doctor. That is on us as listeners and honestly in my experience, when skincare becomes part of your daily habits and interests you slowly ignore the age/levels and start working by what suits you. These age-labeled videos are only there to assist those who are not yet in tune with their specific skin needs and need to start somewhere and age can be a good starting point

    • @Yulia.chandrika

@@AmaniOu2 no no I dont say its about believing that you are 20 and loving yourself, its more.complicated than that, how are you emotionally affects, what are your cultural beliefs imbedded in your subconscious mind, your diet, and other energetic things, the body is not just a physical thing my friend.
I agree in today's era she couldnt be a credible doctor if she would have the conception of the body being anything more than physical.
Yet scientists like Bruce Lipton hopefully are opening the path for medicine to expand further.
People who take into consideration both things, and take care of themselves internally and externally are the ones getting actual results.
I have seen people look decades younger, people who knows how your energy affects your physical body the most. But I understand this is not a concept everyone can understand.
When you lets say, have a cancer, it is also related to your stuck emotions and certain things you have inside your etheric body.
I had cancer when I was 20 years old and I cured myself understanding that the human body goes beyond physical.
I am not encouraging people to stop taking medicines of doing things physically to their skin I am in total favour of that.
But both things could be done
She as a doctor could say there are many factors related to aging, and its not realistic to say everyone will have the same exact pick at 30, because that is not even biologically correct.
Anyway, I was just trying to explain that to the person who commented.

Apply a quality moisturizer to maintain hydrated and supple skin. Use sunscreen daily to protect your skin from sun exposure. Currently, littlllextra rice berry sunscreen and moisturizer are my top picks because they work perfectly for my skin. It’s suitable for my sensitive skin. Its lightweight formula absorbs swiftly, leaving no greasy residue or white cast, making it perfect for daily wear under makeup or alone. It also comes in travel-friendly packaging, so I keep it in my purse when I’m on the go.

I’ve even had my mom start using it. It provides such a nice finish. I’ve also tried the Requil one, but I’m not sure why I don’t like how it just sits on my skin. So, riceberry any day.

Antioxidants in the morning: niacinamide, Centella, Vitamin C (L Ascórbic acid, Paula’s choice)
(Pillow talk Derm Active Seal has antioxidants and spf)
SPF: tinted spf can be good so you can touch up throughout the day
Sun visors (make sure you get a real one and not a knock off that doesn’t protect from uv)
Cleanse, exfoliate (salicylic acid for oily)(glycolic acid, lactic acid, tranexamic acid), target problem areas (retinol and peptides for fine lines), hydrate at night
Recap: protect (spf, moisturizer), repair (with retinols and exfoliation) , support (with nutrients and peptides)

30 here and since I have started to drink matcha cold tea as a powerful antioxidant and cutting the sugar made a huge improvement in my health and my skin. I have rosecea since forever and jawline acne since April 2021. Changing my diet, adding the good stuff and being active is key and then skincare can come along for extra skin benefits. If you eat crap and you are zero active then even if you buy all of this it will always come back and will never see much improvement. So diet first, physically active and then skincare products (sun protection including). That's my personal opinion obviously 😊

I just turned 30 and I started taking care of my skin since age 21 and so far,so good. Except last year I ended up doing red light therapy by using a light bed. Now I’m working on oxidative stress due from sun exposure cuz I love to workout outside and also working on hydration and keeping my skin hydrated. Besides lotions and stuff for skin health, Diet also helps. It helps with hydrating the skin, free radical, collagen;as in making bone broth will help. Drinking water, eating fruits that are full of water. Eat your healthy fats for healthy skin. Eat your grass fed butter, you can add some when you cook your vegetables, eggs, avocados, coconut oil, olive oil,oysters,nuts/seeds, organ meat, foods with zinc. Essential oils as well, like lavender is my favorite mixed with almond oil because lavender oil is good for oxidative stress and free radicals! Vitamin c,a,e zinc because not everyone gets enough vitamin e.

@rp-wn5or Agree!!! I would invest in a proper vit C, growth factor products, and quality retinol. For example, medical-grade products go a long way and little is needed, especially when used with facial mists to hydrate and spread the serum. Those products are an investment, but I believe worth it. I want good ingredients, good formulations, good delivery systems!!!
An example of what is not needed to be the very best and most pricey.... a moisturizer with ceramides, hydrators, fatty acids.

Video request! I'd love a video around small red bumps on irritated skin and how to go about solving the issue. If I've understood correctly, those small red bumps can be a result of irritation from products, irritation from being too rough physically or something clogging up your skin, etc. But what would be a good order and pace of making chances in your routine to solve what's bothering your skin, what's causing the bumps and how go about creating a routine that works for you?
A bit of background to my issues: I'm now 41, live in the Nordic countries, with a skin that's leaning towards dry and sensitive leaning and I've had acne since I was a teen. I've used tretinoin for years now (a couple times a week) and Differine before that, so you'd think I've gotten used to retinols as an active. Yet I still get a lot of small red bumps on my cheeks and occasionally on my chin and forehead. My skin is never completely clear of them, when some of them have calmed down, the hyperpigmentation lasts a long time and before they fade, there's always a new wave entering. And lately it's just bumps, bumps, bumps and hyperpigmentation everywhere. Current situation might have something to do with more frequent sunscreen use due to summer arriving. I've included other actives on occasion through the years, but I haven't gotten consistent results. From watching your videos I've decided to try buffering my tretinoin and see if it makes a difference and slowly introducing azelaic acid, for which I already got a prescription. And trying to be patient and not irritating my skin further. 🙏

You'd have to live in a cave for it not to affect you. The only thing you can do is be aware of the lie and thus refuse to be humiliated for superficial nonsense like that. You'll always be miserable if you use stuff like skincare to try to heal wounds inflicted on your psyche. It's self care to make you feel and look your best, nothing more. We all want to feel nice. Your worth doesn't lie in your looks, you're a whole human. I started to show some signs of Rosacea and went to see s specialist here in Spain. I always wore sunscreen when out for a longer time but not on a daily basis. I am on a religious routine with Soolantra to keep Demodex at bay, Retinol and Low dose 5mg Isotretinoin 3x a week to keep the oil production down, daily sunscreen 50spf. Plus i use a sun hat every day and a UVA UVB blocking curtain on long car rides
My rosacea is gone for 2 years now, my skin looks amazing and i feel a lot younger 😊

You are young lol! Ageing era lol. You are in your prime my doctor told me and that most ruined their bodies in their 20s to get pregnant, stressed out, neglecting their health mentally and physically because they felt pressure and wanted to follow the crowd. I didn't. I still look the same I did at 20. 10 years, if you are careful does not age you. My whole family waited in their late 30s to procreate, focusing on their health, career, traveling and freedom. We all look healthy feel great while others seem jealous and envious. Yes wear sunscreen, yes eat well and exercise. Follow the basics which most idiots fail to retain younger.

I am 35, the 30s thing hit me hard in the last year. I little bit late, but God it hit. My face is losing the battle, is puffy, is not full. I still don't have to deal with sun or acne marks, freckles and pigmentation. After all I considered lucky since I never have the chance to care for my face. My face is oily and in my country there were not affordable options for me. So I got through my 20s with cleanser and a gel moisturizer. At 28 discovered a new Korean skincare store and begin to use SPF for the first time without breaking out like crazy, I almost cried of happiness.

29s hit me bad. Within the last 6 months , my skin became acne prone , severe stubborn discolouration and hard to heal. Love your recommendation! Do you know if taking certain vitamins might help speed up the healing process ? Also, what brand is the Hyper Serum from? I just looked it up, it is showing a different product then the one you are holding ❤

Hi Dr Idriss! I am 2 months away from my 30th, and my turning 30 crisis is apparently skin care, and the fact I’ve literally never had a skin care routine. I have very dry skin so I suppose I’ve always been distracted with just bulk moisturiser on my body to stop from being ‘the snow’ year round. I adore you, I have watched probably 40 hours of videos in the last 2 weeks. I’m obsessed (I also love it when you bang the table, f the haters!) and have study notes and all, and developed a pretty decent routine that I’m still ticking off the purchase list - I’ve ALREADY noticed a huge improvement in my skin and I’m dumbstruck.
I am curious on your opinion on ‘luxury brand’ skin care. I’ve always been a sucker for Clinique for example. Would love to hear your views on these products! Thank you for your amazingness! ❤

Clinique is generally not worth it. Luxury skincare is so rarely worth the increased price and pile of fragrances and possible irritants.

      Hi there,
Glad you asked! The lasers are called Candela V-Beam Laser and I have been on these for about 15 years now! They are mainly for Rosacea which I have! I know there are lasers for Acne and other skin conditions too, such as Melasma! The only thing I don't like is this is usually NOT covered by American insurance companies, so you have to pay for it out of pocket!

I’m 36 (almost) and had horrendous acne as a teen. I never knew how to treat it so it was pretty scarring and damaging. Now I’m trying to treat stubborn blackheads, enlarged pores, and now signs of aging. I also notice my cheeks aren’t as plump. I’m using moisturizer and sunscreen and adapalene at night. I’ve seen so much improvement but I know I need more

Thank you, Dr Idriss. 😊Could you please advise how to use tretinoin and azelaic acid gel together for those who have rosacea and pores / acne? Using azelaic acid in the am like you said is not the best option sometimes as it interferes with make up and other things like a vitamin C serum .. how to best incorporate these two into your routine? 🤔 thank you ❤❤❤
