    In this video I review "One" a one step polish and compound by 3d car care. I also review their light cut spider pad using my Rupe's DA. One step polishes have a strong place in the detailing world for the time they save us, and the results they give. 3D car care is a trusted name in the auto detailing industry, and this products and pad is no exception. I did my first paint correction today and living in Central Florida I had to wait for a cloudy day. I used Chemical Guys V36 compound and orange hex logic pads. I was supposed to do a two step but between the prep and starting it took me from 8:00 A.M. to 2 P.M. so I was literally spent, I'm 64 and diabetic. Next time I will use HD One because I heard you could use it in sunlight and being a two step will save me some time which I'm all for it.

      It’s a two step in the sense that it will polish and seal, but not compound and polish. Definitely one of my favorite products though!

  • @danlc95

    This is a pad responsive polish.
    It can be a cutting compound with a heavy cut pad, a medium polish with a medium pad, or a fine finish polish with a finishing pad.
    Similar to the original Meguiar's SOLO system (M86, and the burgundy / white wool pad are the only remaining parts of the system). It was Meguiar's first SMAT (non diminishing) abrasive buffing liquid. The kit came with two wool pads (heavy and light cutting), two foam pads (polishing, and finishing) and maybe an apron a spur, and a pad conditioning brush - can't remember right now.
    One can be used for single stage corrections, but it was never meant to be limited by being pigeonholed as a "one step", as per their introduction video and demonstrations.
    Anyways, great video and great demo!

    Excellent showcase Luke. I have never used the polish nor the pad and I have a project that allots time and resources to only do a 1 shot. I thought I'd go will my trusty Ultimate Compound but this review might change that for me. I hear 3d products are extremely easy and that it seems like the material can be worked a very long time. That is exactly what I'm after here. If this is a $50 combo and it works like I just saw, then thats worth every penny to give it a shot. Thank you and please keep the channel alive, making these really great vids!

    • @NickM1013
      @NickM1013 5 років тому +1

      Joseph Connolly you wont like this answer but both play a huge role in correction. This product can cut and finish down as nicely as the pad you couple it with. Whats more important a hammer or a nail?

    • @MakeMyAutoShine
      @MakeMyAutoShine 5 років тому

      I was thinking about using HD One with a microfiber pad for a little extra cut. Thus if the product is more important than the pad, I might buy. If it is a system and only works in conjunction, then I will be waiting until I go through my current set of pads to jump ship and switch to a new system.

    • @NickM1013
      @NickM1013 5 років тому

      Joseph Connolly I understand. My experience with microfiber pads (for cutting) is it leaves the paint hazy afterwards which means a second step is needed anyways. These mid range all in ones are best when you pair it with a spider or med cut foam pad which can finish down nicely. Or, you can simply swap pads and use this as a two step.
      I myself do not like mf pads and prefer wool or foam. But why not try it and if it needs to be finished off just swap pads.

    @steveworthington9017 4 роки тому +2

    I stand to be corrected but I was under the impression that this isn't a all in one, this doesn't have diminishing abrasives in it, my understanding was that this is ONE product that is used to compound with the appropriate cutting pad then when you reach the correction desired then you change to a polishing pad, so it is two steps with ONE product, I'm not sure where I saw this, it could have been an actual 3D video on the product, the ONE is a combination of 3D AAT 501 cutting compound and 3D AAT 502 finishing polish then 3D SPEED is a combination of 501, 502 and 3D POXY wax, obviously you don't get the same effect using the SPEED as you would using the three products separately, thats my take on it, I'd like some feedback incase I've misunderstood it, I haven't had a chance to use it yet, it hasn't reached this far yet all the way in Barbados, 🇧🇧😎, if anyone wants to send me a sample of it or samples of any products it will be much, much appreciated as we seem to be left behind when it comes to products, beautiful island though, great video as always 👍👍👍

    Not a fanboy like him. 3D is a cross-company that stole the banding from 3M and has just OK products that are twice the cost of the competition and they don't measure up in quality. Then they use iPhone marketing and try to get a fanbase like this young fella. There is a lot of that going around like Rupes, he likes them too but their polishers are crap that easily stalls and once again expensive and same marketing strategy.
